A good 4 lane swimming pool and jacuzzi included with great gym equipment, they do make sure that it is sanitized and kept clean for all users. Friendly and kind staff and clean locker rooms, you do have to get your own lock though. Overall a great area for training.

The staff was Awesome especially the GM Amy. The place is exceptionally clean. The trainer mgr was very personable and friendly. The salesman Raymond was great as well & informative. Im looking forward to attending this gym

As someone who works in healthcare and the fitness industry, I have been a member for a lot of local and national gyms. I have never had as much difficulty in trying to cancel a membership or even speak with someone in management to voice concerns or complications.After moving and work changes, LA fitness or now Esporta was not the right choice for myself or my family. After calling 4 days before the next payment period, I am notified the only way to cancel is by mail or in person. No online membership portal cancellation despite the online portal to manage the account. No email. No phone calls. Mail would likely not have arrived in time and in I physically could not make it to a location to cancel. I ask to be contacted by a manager twice to discuss these options. No response. I ask to be contacted by LA on their website about this. Just an automated email with no reply option with the same information.My card on file was no longer active so the charge did not go through anyway. Days after the payment period, I get a call for an employee about the statement balance. I explain everything to her once again. She says if I pay over the phone then my membership can be canceled. So, you cant cancel over the phone because it is against policy unless they get money out of you. Got it.Finally went in weeks later to sign the paper work to cancel in person. Was told the previous balance would likely be taken care, but that a manager would contact me if there were any issues.Another month later, after I sign the cancelation paper work IN CLUB, I get a call from a front desk employee that another month of fees have been added to my balance which needs to be paid and my account was not canceled.So to summarize, they clearly want to rope members into keeping their membership and paying by making things as difficult as possible. Either these practices are on purpose, or their communication or chain of command is seriously lacking. Every other of the 7 gyms I have been a member of with similar price points have done way more for me than this company has. Stay away.Moreover, this particular gym is not have areas for lifts such as deadlifts, cleans snatches, or any other similar lifts.

I work in Uptown and live in far North Dallas. I pass several LA Fitness/Esporta gyms, but I will gladly drive out of my way to go to this one! Customer service sucks, the people at the front are always on their phone or busy talking to other employees, but my trainer, Kenneth, IS THE BEST! Hes really helped me and Im already seeing results.

I love the vibe of this place. Plenty of room for both traditional and traditional workouts. The equipment is well-maintained, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the pool/hot tub are always sqeaky clean. Its really is like having your very own awesome home gym.

Its a good gym. Clean facilities, friendly staff, equipment thats in reasonably good repair. Not too crowded most of the time.

Love working out here. Only downside is the treadmills are super old and rusty, they could invest in some new ones. They have a variety of equipment and its very spacious compared to other gyms Ive been at. Basketball court and swimming pool is a plus 👍

Decent gym.... Usually minimal traffic.... The location at Midway and park has the turf area which makes them slightly better if youre looking for that type of workout but this location is low key and you can definitely get a good workout in💪🏾💪🏾

This is a company that will steal every penny from your credit card as long as they have it in file. Just heartless people trying to rip off people. They froze my account during pandemic and promised it will be in frozen state until I activate. They have been charging me full amount $60 for 6 months. And providing no option to refund. I wonder how corporates get away with stuff like this

Amy the general manager does not have a decency to talk. They have started a new scheme of bring a guest pass where we can share the pass with friends.Even if there is a difference of 5 mins they are accused as if you are not even part of the gym even though you pay for it, there systems are flawed and are constantly in need of update where even if your name is in once its somehow not stored in.The personal trainer also harasses everyone who takes one personal session to just get personal training from him its a sign of desperation where you sit there being awkward on how to say no. Totally not worth it. Would rethink before signing a membership.

When you pay a significant amount more per month for a higher quality experience it is very disappointing to see rusty treadmills and feel that the gym is very out of date. Will be hard pressed to visit this location, however, very satisfied with other locations I have visited.

There is Zero enforcement of the States mask policy- other than walking in with a mask policy. Once you are in the building, it is completely optional. The 6’ rule is not adhered to at all. Poor practice for a business that is promoting a healthy lifestyle.

Horrible hours, half of the equipment is “out of service”. The shower curtains are half way open so everyone can see you while you’re showering. No towels to be found anywhere in the shower area.They want everyone to wear the mask even when working out which is ridiculous, considering masks don’t stop the spread of anything but the moisture.Definitely would not recommend Lafitness. When my membership is over. I will not be extending.I’m positive any other place is better then this gym!

LA fitness does not make it easy to cancel a membership. I visited another LA Fitness location to cancel a membership and they turned me away cause a Operations Manager was not present. I left that location and looked up the next nearest one which was this one in Plano. I called before coming in to verify that a Operations Manager would be in house and the employee hung up on me. I still decided to go to the location and at least try to cancel the membership. I went in and dealt with a very rude employee at the front desk. She said she would be able to process the cancellation. Before leaving, I verified that my membership was cancelled and asked for a printed confirmation. Imagine my surprise on my next bank statement to see another charge. I would not recommend LA Fitness to anyone.

Great place and people are very friendly

This is the only LA Fitness in the DFW area that I feel comfortable going during this pandemic. In fact, I drive fifteen miles and pass 6 other closer clubs to get to this location. While the club is older, the equipment is clean, people are wearing masks at all times and club employees can be seen on the floor and not just behind the front desk. Someone, please send the managers of the Signature Club, Lovers/Greenville, and Richardson clubs to this location for training.

It’s a nice gym. The equipment is in good shape, but it’s gross. Almost nobody wipes down equipment (probably) because the gym doesn’t provide spray bottles and small towels to wipe anything down. It seems like other LA Fitness gyms are doing this too. The gym would smell a lot fresher if things were clean.

Nice gym. Has a good amount of machines and free weights to work out and build those muscles and burn the fat away! Also has a sauna, swimming, pool, hot tub, and showers. Only thing missing I would like is a steam room, but I havent seen one of those at any LA Fitness location

This gym does not have a COVID protocol or at least they do not enforce it. People without a mask, few cleaning products. Disaster-5 start

This is one of my favorite LA Fitness locations. I always enjoy my workout here when Im in the area. I visit lots of LA Fitness locations and this is one of the best. Its clean, not crowded during the day, good equipment, large carpeted mens locker room, friendly staff. 5 stars!

Great environment! Lots of high-quality equipment and the space is huge. Friendly staff and the membership prices are reasonable.

They have some good class options but so much less than when I joined (no pilates on weekends or nights anymore). Some things have gotten better like access to free weights, but the air conditioning in the cycle room and sound system is VERY sub par. Kids club is decent.

Good selection of exercise equipment that was in good working order. Very clean, including the locker room. Has all the usual amenities for an LA Fitness. Especially enjoyed the racquetball.

Originally from Miami, I attend this gym when I come to visit friends. As far as cleanliness is concerned, it is one of the most decent LA facilities when compared to the ones I attend in Miami. Equipments are always out of discussion because they are generally pretty good in all of them.

I came here today to possibly start a membership, and received a 5 day pass to try it out free, and I was planning to start using it the same day. When I arrived I spoke with one of the representatives to get information . He was extremely nice but it got to a point where I wasn’t sure if he was just Plain flirting with me. It got really uncomfortable and he continued trying to make small talk. It took 30 minutes just to tell me about pricing and show me the gym by time he finished talking I didn’t even want to workout anymore, I just left with the creepiest feeling.. I’ll try a different location .

Their business is ripping off their customer and over charging canceled or finished memberships.Just stay away from any LA fitness.Check other reviews. I am not the only one.

Good! Definitely not amazing, some of the weights are pretty weird, they dont have many things you would expect, but they have other things that exceed expectations. Overall good, and better than some other popular gyms around the area...

Place is filthy and always smells like dirty gym socks. You have to walk across half the gym to get to the sanitizer as the are only like 4-5 available in the entire two-story area. Theyre supposed to provide individual spray bottles (due to stricter covid directives) but none are available even when the gym is almost empty. Machines are outdated and worn down.

Mask wearing is not enforced at this location. Less than half of the people in there wear masks at any given time.

So far so good. Ive read all the other comments and still decided to join LA Fitness. I have to say I disagree with some of the reviews, especially signing a contract. Some people just love to complain! If you, as an adult, cant read and understand a contract then thats your problem not the gyms! I was a member of Lifetime Fitness in Atlanta for years and absolutely love the gym but not very many locations here since we moved to Dallas plus out of the way. For those who dont want to sign a contract, try Lifetime they have no contracts but be prepared to open your wallet, they are pricey, mainly because of no contract and busy especially after working hours, you may have to wait on some of the equipment. LA Fitness really isnt too bad for the price of a trainer or membership, yeah the gym is smaller but I have no complaints in that area. As far as the equipment, they have pretty much everything. The locker rooms are clean and well maintained. I gave it 3 stars because it is smaller than what Im used to, but thats the only reason. For what I need to accomplish, itll do just fine.

Staff is pleasant and the gym is always clean. Plenty of equipment, plenty of space. I workout here at least 3-4 times a week. Peak hrs are not as crowded as most gyms. The only this missing here is towel service!

Hi everyone I am one of the three club managers at this club. My position is the Personal Training Director and I oversee the Personal Training department at this facility. I can assure you all of the staff at this location cares about the facility and its members. Please free to call the club and ask for me if you have any questions or concerns. I saw a couple comments about cancelling memberships. Only our Operations Manager has the ability to cancel memberships in the club, the Sales Manager and I do not access to do so. All three managers in the club are passionate about fitness, we want you to be too!

They offer water aerobics after work which is really good for me. All the other LA gyms offer only during working hours. Also clean gym and not overcrowded. Now if they would just turn the heater on for the pool, although we work pretty hard in water class still chilly in water. I was told they wait till our class start to turn it on not very logical considering how big the pool is to be heated up.

The Locker Rooms need new flooring.

They leave trash at peoples doors. Do not reward this behavior.

I have been coming to this location for about 9 months now. Its a nice welcoming environment by both staff and members. When I have questions and/or concerns they are entertained in a reasonable amount of time.

I enjoy the classes at this gym, thats the ONLY reason why I attend this particular gym. The customer service component at this gym has been missing since the day I joined (October 2015). I have only been a member of two gym prior to my membership here and I have NEVER received such terrible customer service on a consistent basis. I tried to take my niece to the restroom and the manager followed us to the ladies room as though we were up to something. He was extremely rude and lacks courtesy as does the rest of the staff and I have had multiple interactions with the staff so this review isnt from one experience.

I love this gym. Their classes are always helpful and the staff is fantastic. The location is awesome. Recommended.

I am not a member of this gym, but a good friend of mine was and he had the same experience with LA fitness that I had in another state: the fact that they will raise your yearly rate after one year without informing you, charge you fees that they don’t disclose when you sign up, and make it extremely difficult and stressful when you cancel your membership. Both he and I had to resort to calling the corporate office when the charges on our debit cards kept coming after we told the gym management team that we were cancelling our membership.

I usually love LA Fitness and rejoined because this location is so close to home. This location needs a MAJOR update all the way around. The employees are nice, it would just would be nice if it were cleaner and newer equipment.

I split time between this location and the one in McKinney. This one is much cleaner and much larger. There are a ton of cardio and strength training machines, racquetball courts, hot tub basketball court and lap pool. The women’s locker room is really nice and also always clean.It’s usually not busy at lunchtime (12ish), which is great.

Really bad customer service. When you need to make any changes, update info ( like freeze your account for a month when you are on vacation) or ask any questions. The operation manager was never there ( Past two years experience). Always feel frustrated when calling them. Other staffs there can’t help you do anything. Called for the operation manager several times during their business hours ( about 5 times) for the past 2 years but most of the time the manager was not there. I hope you guys can make sure the manager can satisfy customer needs. The staff also told me the manager doesn’t have an email or she doesn’t read the email so it’s very difficult to reach out to her. Bad customer services.

Just a pretty good location all around. Nothing exceptional, but nothing awful either...except the hours. Closing at 5 on Saturdays and Sundays? That’s just ridiculous.

This has been my home club for about 1.5 years. The management cares about the facility and I always see them keeping an eye on things. LA Fitness has really got the sauna thing down correctly. I tried the larger sauna at 24 hr and saw the larger sauna at Lifetime Fitness and didnt sweat in the 24 hr Fitness sauna and the Lifetime Fitness was large as well and looked disappointing. Smaller saunas are good if you actually want to sweat. 24 Fitness may have bigger facilities and Lifetime Fitness may have newer equipment but LA Fitness is just right. Not too big and not too small. Ive been a loyal customer for about 7 years.

Joined LA Fitness a year and a half ago. Club is very clean, equipment is well-maintained, and it is not as crowded as other LA Fitness locations. Lots of fitness classes every day of the week and a good on-site Kids Club.

I enjoy the gym and also enjoy this gym. The only thing that keeps me from giving it 5 stars is there is no wifi and as soon as I walk in the gym it messes with my phone. This is the only gym Ive ever been to that doesnt have wifi.Cardio equipment is kind of old and not kept in the best shape. Especially the ellipticals.Lastly, it closes insanely early on Saturday. 5pm... my favorite night to workout. But, hey... I still workout there. *shrug*

Got back to Texas last month from LA, and found out my membership can also be used here. Comparing to the LA fitness I used in LA, this one is larger, with swimming pool and basketball court, newer equipments. The staff there is friendly too. In a word, a good place to workout.

I was a member at another gym that charges $99/mth and considers itself a destination because of all the amenities they provide. The problem is that all SEVEN departments will hound the hell out of you trying to get more money out of you when youre already spending so much on monthly dues. And there are kids EVERYWHERE!This facility is a gym and thats it. LOVE THAT! People on here complaining about a smell or lack of amenities arent there for a workout, obviously. You go, you sweat, you leave. Period. No one is calling and emailing you to try the cafe, spa, swim lessons, basketball leagues etc. There are new people in charge and the customer service has been excellent.If you want a social, housewife gym, then spend a small fortune and go to the big over priced gym. If you want to workout, go to LA!

This location has a nice open layout with plenty of machines and weights. The locker room always feels clean. I also like that the place isnt usually very crowded.

Ive been to multiple gyms in my life, and man, I will never re-sign with LA Fitness. The staff is super rude, and they make it a HASSLE to cancel your membership. I was running a yearly membership with LA Fitness and as my membership was coming to an end, I was told over the phone that I would need to mail in paperwork to cancel my membership or else I will get another yearly fee charge. I called corporate and they said I dont have to do anything to cancel my membership and that it will cancel on its own once the expiry date is met. This specific location also gave my wife the HARDEST time canceling her membership. They told her she needs to file all of this paperwork to cancel her membership, when she simply called corporate and cancelled within 2 minutes. Stick to 24 Hour Fitness, YouFit, or Fitness Connection. The members at this specific location are also full of themselves and guys think they compete in body building competitions when they are well over 25 percent body fat. Very weird vibes at this gym. Avoid at all costs.

I am appalled at the business and professionalism of the general manager that was working at the time between June-End of July 2018. After being approached by the GM for a deal for a membership, we came to an agreement. However, they did not hold their end of the deal, and were simply interested in scamming me out of my money! I feel humiliated and disgusted at the lack of professionalism and business ethics of this particular LA Fitness. I do not trust this place and their membership deals. I do NOT recommend LA Fitness to anyone looking for a good membership deal.

This location is automatically a winner because almost all LA location in the metroplex have their kettle bells chained and only available to personal training area only! Overall a decent club! I have been with LA for 5 years.

WOMEN-BE AWARE OF YOUR SAFETY IN THE BATHROOM at THIS LA FITNESS !!!I don’t usually write reviews, but finally decided to write about my humiliating experience at the LA fitness Plano campus at Coit and George Bush on Monday, Aug 20th so that other women would be alert and might avoid what I have gone through.It was around 11:30am, while I was taking my shower, a female staff member came in and told me that a male worker was about to start his repair work in the women’s locker room. I told her that I would be done in the shower 5 minutes and I would then need to go in the locker room to dress. She promised to have the worker to wait until I was dressed.About 5 minutes later, I stepped out of shower and, not yet dressed, was using a sink in the bathroom that connects the locker and shower room. All of a sudden, a male worker appeared without knocking or any form of announcement. If it was a honest mistake, I would have expected him turn around, apologize, and leave immediately. Instead, he dropped his tool box on the sink counter. I didnt have clothes on, and seeing that he did not mean to leave, I yelled at him to get out. He then picked up his tool box and cursed at me as he left.When complained to the LA Fitnesss GM, his first reaction was to send me to talk to a guy sitting at the front desk. When I insisted to talk to the management leadership, then he admitted that he is in fact the GM and brought that guy, Mike, into the meeting. They claimed that they were not present when everything had happened so they could not judge. Well, I am glad these two guys were not in the women’s bathroom too! I asked them to bring into the meeting their female staff member who was coordinating with me, but they refused. In the end, they brought the male worker, who is their contractor and not an employee, to come to take the heat.Mike and the GM told me that the worker did not act aggressively towards me--aside from barging in while I was undressed and staying until I forced him to leave--so I should not make a fuss. This was their customer service standard. What about the clients dignity? Apparently, at this particular LA Fitness, women in the womens locker room undress at their own risk--and we women should just shut up and take it.

WORST management ever. My wife signed a contract here for 24 months, the cancellation fee was $150, but they offered us $99 cancellation fee (hand written on the contract and provided a copy to my wife). We are trying to cancel the membership since march 2019 (we moved to dallas from plano, my wife is a member in dallas now). The person who has overwritten the contract no longer works here and so they are not honoring us the $99 cancellation fee, unfortunately we did lose the paper copy of the contract. FYI we dont care about $150 as we just paid it off this morning and cancelled the membership but the GAME IS NOT OVER. I already talked to a lawyer who can help me file a petition against these folks, i dont care about the money BUT i want these guys to get punished for fraud business practice. I promise i dont care to spend $500 to $1000 more but i will make sure these people suffer for not honoring what was told at the time of contract. I took a day off from work next week so i can get to the bottom of this and file the paperwork. I recommend NOT to sign up for this gym with or without a contract.

Went gym shopping. I saw in their website that I could sign up for a week trial if I talked to a member representative before deciding if I wanted to join. First guy said they do it, but wouldnt let me because I havent gotten my new drivers license with new address on it (just moved a week ago from out of state). He didnt seem interested in helping me so I went to another location. Guy at the second location flat out said they dont do trials, but for $200 I could sign up for a membership and had three days to reconsider!! What a deal! Decided to take my business to a smaller, local gym that appreciates their prospective members or try to gouge them.

LA Fitness used to be a good place to exercise, but I guess not any more. Smelling environment, dirty changing room and showers makes you feel bad. Of course its not all the time but even a few times is enough to make you think going somewhere else.

I went in to try and cancel my membership because I am moving three times. Every time they tell me something different as to why they can’t cancel it today. Gave me no other option but to do it in person. The lady up front was rude and disrespectful and extremely unhelpful. I kept asking her for ANY manager I can speak to and she would shrug, huff and puff and tell me there isn’t one... mind you two feet away were three men dressed business casual just sitting on their asses. I ended up calling corporate so they could cancel for me. Unhelpful and rude. Plus the entire time I’d go workout there I’d get this creepy vibe from all the workers. The whole gym needs help.

WORST customer services ever. Shouldve read the reviews here before signing in. Now I understand why so many reviews saying their managers are liars. Because they are. They said I wont be get charged for the tryout session, but afterwards I got charged $50 for this 25-min session. And of cause, now they are denying that they said it wont be charged so I just cant get that money back. Besides, the whole cancellation process is so annoying, they ignored my request of cancellation twice and I have to keep pushing them on that, after more than half month they finally precessed. Im done with this gym. Be careful if you want to sing any contract here. Think four times.

LA Fitness management of this location is really irresponsible. Three weeks back two cars were broken into and I thought it was by bad luck. But yesterday again the same thing happened to another individual. I dont know what the management is doing to handle this issue. Anyone who parks car little away from the entrance is exposed to this vandalism. They should install cameras to make sure their members and their cars are safe while members use the gym. I understand if it was one random act of robbery but this is the third car I know of which got robbed in last 3 weeks.Wake up management!!!!!!!!

If youre looking for a gym that offers great customer service, professionalism and a friendly environment, this gym isnt for you. My husband and I started out as members at this gym, but very soon after enrolling my husband was hired as a membership counselor. While working at this location for approximately 3 months, this gym underwent many transitions, many not so great.The original staff, Phillip Williams and Michele Clark made this gym feel like home. However, over the course of the last 2 weeks, Phillip (previous General Manager) was replaced by Brandon Wilson (an Assistant General Manager from another location). Mine and my husbands dealings with this new GM were nothing more than unpleasant and VERY unprofessional. Needless to say, my husband was recently fired (via phone call) without any explanation in the middle of the pay period. Brandon was transferred to the Plano South location just last Tuesday. Jessica Tebes, the current Operations Manager is right up there with Brandon. Very unprofessional. Overall, even if I had not been married to an ex membership counselor, had I known this district and its staff were so crooked and inconsiderate of its inferiors I would never had chosen this gym, not in a million years. Any prospective member is just another dollar sign to Brandon Wilson and the districts VP Nehal Kaiser.

The gym and equipment is nice. But the staff here force you to get in to personal training contract without informing that its a year long commitment. Once you get into it breaking the contract is very difficult.

Ive been a member here for about two years and genuinely had no issue with this gym.Up until one day on a whim, I decided to inquire about personal training sessions to get a better understanding of gym equipment and how to use them properly. I was acquainted with someone who walked me through what LA Fitness had to offer. What was agreed upon verbally was personal training sessions for $180 a month that included one session a week. And at any point I could cancel and that would be the end of it.After a few months of training with a personal trainer, I returned back to work and couldnt afford nor make time for the sessions. I reached out to my trainer who said she was sad to see me go, but understood completely.The next month, I was charged $180. I assumed it was simply a hiccup and everything hadnt been processed completely. Although to my surprise when I called LA Fitness they informed me that I had in fact signed up for a YEAR of personal training. I was completely bamboozled given that I would NEVER knowingly pay $2,160 to learn about machines. Thats right... $2,160 simply to learn how to use gym equipment.I explained myself to numerous people at this location including Kyle, Jonah, and Susan from corporate. All of which kept hitting me with the same rhetoric stating- We have your signature here. Which of course made me think about how I mustve not read the contract fully and naturally I started doubting myself.I reached out to corporate stating that I never agreed upon a year and there is no way I would continue to pay that amount. Susan, good ol Susan from corporate was like- I have two signatures here that state that you signed a year contract. Super bummed... I was like damn, I really should have read what I signed. Susan, could sense this disappointment and was GRACIOUS enough to offer me two options. Either I could pay half of what was left on the balance for the year (five hundred freaking dollars) and be done or she was willing to knock off a whopping $20 to my monthly fee and make it a $160 per month and I continue training!!!!!I felt so stupid and decided to take Susans proposal. I got a text from Kyle at the location stating that he was so glad we could come to an agreement and was excited to help me get back to my fitness goals which let me remind you all was simply how to learn to use some machines. He scheduled a meeting the next morning to sign a NEW contract with the agreed upon numbers.As I was coming back from the grocery store purchasing Ramen... since thats all I was going to eat for the remainder of the year thanks to the stupid contract I signed- I thought of something that my good friend Susan from corporate mentioned. Maam we have two of your signatures present on this contract and we even e-mailed you a copy.I frantically ran to my computer, knocking over all the Ramen boxes I bought for the cold winter, and signed on to my e-mail. To my surprise... there WAS in fact a copy of the contract that I signed.Im going to attach a picture to enlighten you all. I took the courtesy to print it out and show it to them when they had my new contract sitting all pretty and ready to sign.So, how do I feel about LA Fitness? I like the group classes with reasonable prices but their opening hours is less than other locations of LA fitness!
