My son wanted a lightning bolt mohawk. Russ killed it!

I went in for a $14 haircut/trim which was advertised twice outside and on the inside board. Had a simple trim all over (I get extensions so I really wasnt picky and just wanted ends cut). It was quick and rgr man cutting was fine. When I went to pay they said $20. I was a bit miffed bc I thought I must have missed something on the sign, but after paying I looked and realized I had not. I attempted to talk to the mgr/owner (not sure of her name). She was quite rude and made no attempt to remedy the situation. If I had wanted to pay more Id have gone to my regular person who doesnt do a switch and bait. The cut is mediocre but the service after was awful. She said they charge more for womens cuts....but yet the sign does not indicate that. The arguments she attempted to make were ridiculous. I really never complain about businesses but I will about this one. Bad experience and dont recommend...unless you like a bait and switch 🙄

Julie is amazing if you need someone who has a good experience. 1 less star because Expert Clips has raised their price consistently over the years. Also the prices were raised well before the pandemic when they opened a new location in the same lot so COVID is not an excuse for their price increase.

I came to this location after walking away from a nearby establishment that was ignoring CDC pandemic precautions. I was so pleased to see all the staff and customers here wearing masks. A large sign asked customers to sanitize their hands on entry, and staff pump sanitizer into your hand upon leaving. Of course, the haircut Ethan gave me was great as well, and their prices can hardly be beat! Great job Expert Clips!

Had the worst haircut at this place. The lady who cut my hair couldnt even make both sides to match in length, and kept on cutting my hair to get them to match. Needless to say, I came out with really short hair with no style at all. Dont go there unless you want your hair ruined.

Not happy with my haircuts the last 2-3 times I’ve been there. Every time I got a cut with different stylists. They rush haircuts to get to the next person because there are too many stylists!

I went here on Saturday due to all the great reviews. I made an appt with Russ online. When I arrived, the owner said not to have Russ because he only does mens cuts. OK, so I wait. Then a man took me to his chair (never introduced himself) and starts cutting away before I even said what I wanted. I asked for a shampoo... then explained what I wanted. He did a good job but didnt speak English, so I had to communicate by hand gestures. Then the bill. Haircuts are 14.00, but 4.00 extra for shampoo, then 5.00 extra for womens cut, then another 10.00 for the time it took to do my hair. So 14 became 33. I gave the guy a 5.00 tip...now 38. Not cool. Her prices should be transparent. Will not go back.

Ive been here a couple times so far and they are always very nice, even when they have to be pretty quick because theyre super busy. All 3 times theyve done a great job and Ive been very happy with my cut.

First time there, I met Jully. She is talented, experienced, professional, and kind. I will now go to her for all haircuts.

Jully was absolutely amazing! I’ve been going to Boardroom and paying a ton of money for a basic haircut. I paid 1/10th the price at Expert Clip and got way more bang for my buck. From the haircut to the scalp massage to the back massage to the foot massage it was more than I could have asked for. I left their way more relaxed and paying way less! I mean WAY less. I cannot stress how amazing Jully was to me as a client and as a person where so many places are lacking in that area. It was absolutely top notch!

It’s been a month since I got my haircut and the old Asian lady there who cut it didn’t care whatsoever. She did a 5 minute haircut without layering or anything and ever since then, my hair has been so much trouble to keep styled. I felt bad that there was no customers so I tipped more than usual, but that’s probably all the money they’re getting from me. You get what you pay for though with cheap haircuts next to the DMV. Recommend going to an actual barbershop next time.

I was brought in by a friend who was raving about his cut by Russ, and I must say Russ did not disappoint. His fade was perfect, and he gave me great guidance on the length and options I could have with my hair. All in all, I left very happy, and the fair price (dont forget to tip!) was a nice addition as well. Also, the establishment was nice and clean, and really enjoyed the music; it was definitely a professional establishment.

Been Visiting this place for long time now. The place is really nice and the dressers are real quick. Also, it is really economical. Do try Sam when you visit there. The treatment one gets even in the waiting area is also good. Just a quick tip: prebook an appointment to avoid waiting time when you reach there. Hello Everyone - I just left Expert Clips and want to share my review. First off, I want you to know that the same person has cut my hair for the last 17 years. So, with that being said - If I find someone I will stick with them if they are great at what they do and that is no exception at Expert Clip. This was my first visit and from the moment I walked in (the owner) Mia, treated me like family. I was comfortable and treated with respect and honor. I then had her husband Russ cut my hair and WOW...This man was meticulous in making sure there was balance, proper fading, smoothness an no harsh lines. He focused on what I wanted but also what looked good from others perspective of me. From the eyebrows to the side burns to the fade on the back of my neck. He MADE SURE that everything looked good, felt good and would grow out looking normally until I visited again. Despite that, he was also very pleasant, knowledgeable and professional. I will be back again and again simply because THESE TWO PEOPLE WERE SO WONDERFUL TO DEAL WITH. *** I highly recommend this establishment and Russ himself.*** You have a choice - You can easily get a bad haircut and have a bad experience somewhere else, but you wont get a better style anywhere else but here. Excellent place to get a fast and professional haircut. You never have to wait too long and everyone that has cut my hair there has done an excellent job. This place is clean and professional and make sure you leave with a smile on your face. I visited based off a few good reviews online and I have to agree with their recommentations, this is now my spot for haircuts. No waiting, Maya did a great job with my hair and was very friendly, and the place is kept clean not to mention the good price.

They upgraded the place look better than before. Free wifi coffee drink while you are waiting. Many hairstylist that you can choose that fit you.

Got haircut from Maya who is probably owner. Her focus was more on business, customer, phone service instead of paying more focus on actual hair cut and what customer actually need. It was just hair cut what I could have done myself for my son. No symmetry or style received the way explained. If you happened to go there, you will notice what I explained.

Russ is an excellent barber and he takes his time to ensure that he gives a quality haircut. Ive been very happy with his fades. Im glad I found him and Ill continue coming back!

The prices are good but the haircuts are all over the place. Way different based on who you get. Dont get me wrong - Im not mad nor did I necessarily have a bad experience. It just seems like its more tailored for women than men, and I dont like the inconsistency.Its a you get what you pay for kind of situation.

Russ is fantastic. Did exactly what I wanted efficiently, timely, and without incident. What more do you want, a sandwich? Well, they dont have that here, but next door does, so move along.

Loved the experience, its cheap and the staff is also helpful and clearly understands the instructions and provides valuable suggestions. I personally have been there multiple times. I would recommend this saloon to anyone specially to someone with tight budget and looking for a good haircut. And unlike some salons they never force to buy their marketed products.

I just heard of this place and decided to take my son in for a hair cut. He is biracial so I did have some reservations as there are not any stylists of color and I did not think they would know how to handle my sons hair texture as it is not straight or curly but more wavy. I went to Jully (sp?) and she did an amazing job. In the past I would got to a small barber shop but the cuts were hit and miss and they cost 17 dollars. These haircuts are 12.00 for children and you get in and out pretty quickly. I would highly recommend this place.

This is a great place and recently updated! Always had a great haircut here from all the stylist. Most of which have been cutting hair at this location for years. Maya in particular is my favorite and runs a fantastic spot!

Great little gem of a hair cut place. I got tired of paying 30$ for a simple haircut at some of the bigger chains, so looked for a local barber shop to support. Expert Clip doesnt disappoint, Ive never had a bad haircut from them in the two + years Ive been going. Wait times can sometimes be up to 20+ minutes on busy days, but more often than not its under 10. They have free wi-fi and water if thats something thats important to you as well.

This is a five chair salon that does a very good job cutting men and boys haircuts. There is a wait on Saturday because they are good at what they do. Not a shampoo place or a straight razor place, a spray bottle, clippers and a haircut place. For what it is, probably five star, but in the grand scheme of things, a very good three star kind of place. Hence the four star rating.

I moved to Allen about 1.5 years ago and Expert Clip has been my go-to haircut place. Maya and her team are fantastic - they truly go above and beyond to make sure one leaves happy. As a bonus, they offer great prices and the new salon is sweet! I definitely recommend Expert Clip.

This was the first time to go to Expert Clips to have my 10 year old daughters hair trimmed. The reviews I read were very positive. The wait was not long and I was very impressed with Kerris technique. What I was NOT impressed with was the 25 dollars I was charged at the end! The posted price for children was 12 dollars, very fair and what I expected to pay. I asked Kerri why we were charged 25 dollars and she said because my daughter has long hair!! I am shocked and extremely disappointed in this shop. It should have been explained that we would be charged more than the posted price. Kerri has a sign at her station that says she charges 25 for womens cut and style. My daughter is 10 years old. This was not a great way to do business, what a shame!! The one star is because my daughter likes her cut, unfortunately, we will not return to Expert Clips.

The haircuts that they provide are nice and well-done, both male and female alike. The rates arent too shabby, either. I recommend calling the place in advance as they are often chock-full of anxious customers. As for the facility itself, its clean and modern enough. A television is present (with the audio, as well) and complimentary bottled water and some candy are available, too. It is a good place.

Great service with reasonable price! Usually theres a wait during the weekend, but the result is definitely worth the wait! Love the new modern look inside the new location!

Im still kind of new to the Richardson area and was looking for a place to get my hair cut. A friend recommended Floyds but when I was looking it up I stumbled upon this gem. I thought, wow, 20 reviews and an almost perfect 5 star rating. So I went here instead. When I walked in I was immediately greeted by Sunny, who told me she was ready for me. No wait, 30 minutes before close. She did a fantastic, thurough job. She even managed to make it look like my hair wasnt so thin in the front (which is normally the opposite of what happens when I get a hair cut). There are a lot of places closer to me but the extra distance is well worth the quality. The only advice I would give the lovely employees here is that they need to raise their prices. I felt like I was robbing them when they only charged me $8.99. Needless to say, I gave a big tip and left with a smile. I will be back.

Took her maybe 15 minutes, while the students at toni and guy hairdressing academy took two and a half hours.Their prices are too low considering the quality and speed of their employees.My second time I had my hair cut by Stacy, who was just as quick and just as good as Sam. One of the owners finished my cut. He was super friendly and excited to move to a bigger location (behind olive burger).If you want a great price for a great haircut, youve found the right place.

Ive never written a review for any place before but my experience here definitely warranted one.I went in today for the first time ever as I recently moved in to Plano. I received the best haircut Ive ever gotten and for only $10! I expected the wait to be long since it seemed pretty busy but I only waited 5 minutes! The woman who cut my hair was wonderful, I regretfully did not catch her name, but I think it may have been Francia. This is definitely my new go-to haircut place.

Been going to Expert Clips off & on since they been open. It’s all GOOD!

Went for first time and watched Sam cut a kids hair and saw that she would be able to cut my hair like I want. Im particular about it and a lot of people cant get it right. I went back up to the sign in sheet and added her name next to mine. At that time there was only 1 person ahead of me with her name. 3 other people went before me and then Im told the one person that was actually ahead of me was next. Then I would get my turn. Thats unacceptable and frankly quite rude. I left. I will not return. Too bad I cant give negative stars.

My girlfriend found this place when she was looking for a cheap haircut as all she needed was a trim. She ended up loving the place so much that we now go exclusively here. Every time we’re able to show them a picture of what we want as well as describe alterations they will gladly make.Always a great cut at a fair price, be sure to tip well to make up for such a great value.

The hair stylist was very nice, and did a very good job cutting my hair. She spent quite a bit of time trying to make it look just right. Also, all of the workers there were extremely friendly, and I felt completely at home. This has probably been the best hair salon I have ever been to, and for only 8.99 a cut. I will definitely be coming back here.

I choose Sam. She always does a great job. The only thing I would like to see one day is for them to move to a bigger location. The seating arrangement is too crowded and always full of hair. But I swear this is a great review. I have been going here since it opened.

My husband and both of our sons and our daughter get their hair done here. The prices are very reasonable. All the ladies here are very friendly and cut hair really well. My husband loves the hair wash and massage.

I recently brought my child in for a haircut. The place was pretty crowded, so we had to wait about 15-20 minutes for our turn. Maya was our stylist. I’ll admit my child was tired and cranky by the time she started the haircut, so it wasn’t the easiest cut, but she spent less than 10 minutes, gave a mediocre haircut, and charged me $25!! The cut it supposed to be $12...she charged twice as much for the inconvenience. I will NEVER go here again!

I usually go to Floyds for my cuts but I was in a rush and decided to try Expert Clip; Im glad I did! The cut was excellent at half the price. If youre really craving the shampoo and hit towel treatment of the other places they can do that here too, for a nominal fee.

Maya lacks professionalism maintaining queue position. Not sure if she is in a bad mood today, however used dirty apron & tried to provide funny theory when I requested for a change. Did a bad haircut, not in line with my request. Ive been a regular in this place for 5+ years, Ive been noticing the downgrades in customer service off late.

Just moved to the Plano area and did some searching around for a place to get my hair cut, so I did on research and I finally decided to come to Expert Clip. I was definitely not let down! I can be a little picky with my cuts sometimes, but the lady (I wish Id gotten her name) did a very good job with my cut, and was very attentive and understanding of what I wanted.I am definitely coming back here for my future cuts, it was a very good experience for me and not to mention how cheap it was!

This place is a rip-off. They spent 9 total minutes on my 7 year olds hair. I get it that kids hair is relatively easy, but 9 minutes is insanely fast. I think those of you that have kids will agree. Ive had 2 kids (one now 16) and been to a handful of salons, and nothing was ever done at this speed and lack of care. And this is a girl with hair down almost to the middle of her back.Not only that, but they layered it without blending, and you can literally see jagged edges on her bangs. She didnt take the time to tweak and work on it like she cared at all about the quality of what she was doing.They rushed through this, tried to get my wife to get a hair cut too, yanked the 15 dollars out of our hands and sent us on our way.AVOID!

Worst experience ever! I saw the good reviews online so i decided to give it a try. I showed Maya the pictures of the hair style i wanted but my whole hair was messed up!!! She doesnt know what she was doing. She ended up blaming my hair was too straight to make the styles. I dont recommend this place to anybody. DO NOT GO!!!

Cheap and great cut! You do not need an appointment, just directly go there and wait. In rush hours, like weekend, at most you need to wait for half hour. However, if you avoid those rush hours, you do not need to wait.

They are good but you need to stick to your stylists as they all interpret hair style number on there own. They dont keep any records so it could be an exp for you if you get stylist who didnt get what was workin for you with other stylist. They have upgraded place and price,and moved to next to olive burger. Many a times coupon with great clips is way cheaper in price than here.
