I brought my S-550 here to replace my alternator. I had scheduled an appointment, & they finished my vehicle as promised. The technician called to let me know the final costs & make sure I approved before doing any work. Which I appreciated because I wasnt surprised with any fees & costs. I was given the option of a new alternator, or a rebuilt alternator. He also mentioned other worn parts & minor potential issues he noticed. But he wasnt pushy about it or tried forcing a sale. I felt he was just being honest, wanted to keep me fully informed of the condition of my vehicle, & assure his reputable work. Very friendly family owned business. They even gave me a ride back to work when I dropped off my car! And not to mention, their place is very clean & organized for it being an auto repair shop. I will definitely bring my vehicles here going forward.
Very, very friendly business. The repairs were done timely and well done. Ive been a customer for over 12 yeas. I have a 2003 MB C230K, plenty of service over time, and cost less than the dealer. Last repair was for a leaking vacuum line. I recommend them.
German European Imports is my go to place to maintain my 2012 BMW x5. The rates are fare and they have never tried to cheat me.
Friendly, competent service at reasonable prices. Ill be back.
The best thing about German Euro Imports is the top-notch service they provide to my car! I also like that when giving an estimate, they tell me specifically what is wrong and what needs to be done and how much that will cost; but they also tell me if this or that also needs to be replaced, then an additional x-number of dollars will be required for that fix. I like that they dont get halfway through a job and THEN tell me there will be added charges. In all the years Ive been a customer, my total charge after each job is usually right on or less than originally quoted.I had my car in for an air conditioner issue and then I also asked about replacing a little compartment on the dashboard. Someone (not them) had detailed my car a few years ago using a product that caused the compartment to look old, worn and was sticky. I had tried to clean this mess myself several times but nothing seemed to work. I opted not to replace this compartment so they did only the air conditioner work that I had authorized. When I went back and picked up my car, I saw that they had also cleaned that little compartment until it was spotless! It no longer looked old or worn and best of all, it wasnt sticky anymore. These are the above and beyond services these people provide to their customers. My car (Cream Puff) is so happy with the work they do and I am happy to pay for services rendered when I know they are never out to cheat or hustle me. I respect them and they truly respect their customers!
Took my CLS500 there after needing maintenance for a while, and they did an awesome job. Great job in replacing the rear air bags too, common for my model. Highly recommend them and their staff.
The staff and cleaning crew, exceptionally nice and friendly at 0730 hrs on a Monday morning. You guys rock!!!
Sam has worked on my Audi convertible since I purchased it in 2013. I would not even think about having anyone else work on my car. 90% of the time the work is completed in one work day, the car is cleaned and spotless when returned and the whole process is super easy. The team is highly skilled. They always offer up the most cost efficient option to fix the problem and Ive never had any repair issues after. Sam, Jose, Hans, and Angela are always such a pleasure to work with.
Terrible Service--DO NOT TRUST THEM!! We have been bringing our cars here for a couple years. Past few times we have brought my car in, the repairs have not been done correctly. One of their main people is full of nothing but excuses. They are not accurate on data and or work. I had noise coming from car (one of a few things wrong). When I got my paperwork back it said no problem found. When we got them in the car, they miraculously could hear the noise. Got car back and it would not start on first turn (not a problem prior), they said it could be the key (which was replaced just two years ago---when pushed on it---he then said he is not sure if it is the key.). I do not believe they know what they are doing. Car is always returned dirty (other places actually wash the car after they do repairs).
Sam and the guys are honest and professional and I always feel like my car gets the best service when I come here. They tell me when I need something repaired, and, more importantly, they tell me when I dont! Its good to have found trustworthy people to repair my car. Its one thing I dont have to worry about. Thank you!
Ron and I have done business with Sam and his staff for close to 20 years and we appreciate their honesty, respect, quality work, and customer service. Sam has always been quick to respond when we have questions; he personally came one time to help when my car would not start. We have compared repair cost with other dealerships and import auto service centers. Sam always saves us money.Thank you to each of you at German European Imports!
Ive used German European Imports for years and cannot say better things about this shop. They are honest & knowledgeable and have very competitive pricing compared to others in the industry. Sam, the owner, is first class all the way. They must be doing something right having been in business for a long time!!!
I have been servicing my 2011 BMW 740 since the expiration of the manufacturers warranty. All service has always been done promptly and at a reasonable cost. I highly recommend this place.
I will try to make this as short as possible. Stay away from these Rip-Offs! I took my BMW in because the 6 month old battery was not keeping a charge. I dropped my car off at German European Motors and informed them of my thoughts about the battery. After hearing NOTHING for 3 days,I called. I was told they would call me back later that day as they were working on it. After waiting all day, no call, so I called back again and was told it was my alternator and would cost at least $1100.00. I had just replaced the alternator six months earlier.I told them (nicely) I did not want them to touch my car. I took a taxi to their establishment and they said we need $110.00. I replied for what? Well we spent all day checking your car out to find out your alternator needs to be replaced I replied The $1100.00 alternator? The reply was Yes and it might cost more than $1100.00. I informed them the alternator had been replaced six months earlier and I had the information in the glove box. I paid the Rip-Off charge and asked if my car was drive able. Yes,was the reply. Surprise, the battery was dead, (should of never told them that I wasnt going to fall for their ridiculous charge), as I walked the few feet back to their door to get a jump, they had locked their door. I ended up calling a tow truck to get the car back to Christian Brothers in Mckinney. Earlier that day I contacted Peter at Christian Brothers and was informed they had an import mechanic with several years experience. That evening I dropped off my car at CB and early the next morning Peter called me to inform me the battery was bad. Funny thats what I had told the Rip-offs at German European Motors.Peter told me that I could come back to their repair facility and they would jump the battery so I could return it and get a replacement battery since it was still under warranty. So after diagnostics, replacing the battery with the new one I brought them and re-setting the computer to just make sure the new battery was accepted Peter, along with the owner and great staff at Christian Brothers charged me a price that was several hundreds of dollars less than the Rip-Offs at German European Motors. Once again do yourself a big favor and stay away from these HACKS. One last note,I used to be in the retail management end of the import car business and make sure that everyone I know from that business and of course family and friends stay away from the German European Motors Rip-Offs. Hopefully you will too. I am contacting the proper officials in Austin to file a complaint against GEM. Although that may not do much and certainly wont get the stupid $110.00 that GEM ripped off from me maybe word of mouth will get around about these Shysters.
I had a great experience with German European Imports from the moment I walked in the door to drop off my vehicle until the time we picked it up. I should state up front that our car is 40 years old and we had received recommendations to bring it in to GEI because they were skilled at handling new AND older German and European cars. I first met Elizabeth when I dropped off the car. She was very nice, thorough and asked me what was going on with the car and she captured everything. I left there with confidence that all would be taken care of. Sam later called me a couple of times, first to confirm his understanding of the issues I was having, then again as a follow up on what they had found to that point. I then received several more calls from Greg with the same thing and he took the time to explain everything, in laymans terms, of what they had found and what they thought the issues were. This was very reassuring to us. When we picked up the car, it was parked out front and was spotless, inside and out. Greg met us and explained to us again what they had found and what they did. The cost of the repairs were very reasonable, which was also quite surprising. We left GEI with great confidence in the work that was done and that we had taken our car to the right people. What an excellent experience it was! We really cannot say enough about Sam and his team at GEI. Thank you!
I have used Hans several times in the pst two years with my CLK-500. He has saved me money and done high quality work. I highly recommend them.
Ive been taking my German autos here since 1990. Sam Rass the owner and the all of the staff have became friends. They have ALWAYS done the job right and are very honest. Ive have had several cars and have never taken them any place other than German European.
Great Customer Service, wonderful work staff ! They take care of their Customers !
I feel like I was treated fairly, everything was explained completely and Im sure it would have cost a lot more at the dealership. All in all a good experience.
Really disappointed‘ I was told parts were cracked and damaged so I okayed the repair. When I asked to see the parts turns out they were not cracked . The technician offered to put them back on the car not charge me for the new parts. At this point I felt like I didn’t want these people touching my car ever again. I’ll go elsewhere next time.
Ive been using Sam for years! Excellent service, honest and reliable, I wouldnt go anywhere else!
If you are looking for an honest European car service center that does great work, then you found the right place. German European Imports is without a doubt, the best foreign car service center in DFW. I speak from two quality experiences I had working with their owner Sam.My BMW had a check engine light on, so I took it up to Auto Scope. They quoted me $1,375. I felt like that was high, so I called around and when I talked to Sam, he started asking me a couple questions about the make and model of the car. Then he said, You probably have a .....problem that is common for that car. I cant remember exactly what he said, but as I looked down at the print out of problems from AutoScope, there it was. He had basically diagnosed it over the phone. He then fixed and inspected the car for $750. Half the price of Auto Scope. Did it in one day.I then brought him my Audi A6 that was misfiring and had been parked for the last two months. Auto Scope had told me I needed to take apart most of the engine to get to the drive train and it was going to cost a minimum of $5000. Frankly, I didnt have the money to fix it at that price, but because Sam saved me so much on the BMW, I took a chance and had it towed to him.Sam took the car and after checking it out, said I it was going to cost about $1,700. I agreed, then a couple days later he calls me and says they ordered the wrong part. The part I needed was actually $500 cheaper. The next day the car was ready. I saved an additional $500 on the part and thousands of dollars compared to Auto Scope and the car has been running great.Sam proved to be the rare combination of someone who knows how to fix cars efficiently and inexpensively and runs his business with integrity. I cannot recommend German European Imports enough. I found my new European car guy and I couldnt be happier about it.Troy Testa
I took my BMW x5 - after spending $2500, i have more problems coming out of the shop. they fixed oil leak but now engine light is on with 6 other problems, took 10 days to repair. i will never take my car again to these guys.
