This group of wonderful women work extremely hard to keep this place going into the right direction. The property manager is very good at putting the residents first and taking care of everyone’s needs. The leasing agent is the nicest and most fun person you’ll meet in this industry. The assistant manager works her butt off while pregnant to take care of all the residents. I would lease here again. They make leasing an apartment easy and enjoyable experience!

I contacted this property on Monday and Spoke with Felisha who told me to do the application so I could get approved and she could have the apartment ready the following week. So I did it. when I went to pay for the application the apartment said it was not available and wouldnt allow me to continue. The other floor plan that she said was available was not on the website or whatever. My problem is I emailed her back no response. Ive called the office 30+ times in the past 2 days trying to reach someone no answer. The application i filled out had at least 7 agents listed on the site for no one to answer ever. I did want to live here but this has kinda made me change my mind. Someone definitely needs to work on that cuz it can definitely deter future resident.

I was really interested in moving here, but I had to call 5 times for anyone to pickup just to be told that I was denied even though I made way more than enough to cover rent. The lady on the phone was really nice to me but whoever Sarah is needs to step it up and take some ownership when it comes to contacting potential residents.

I stopped by the leasing office on Saturday, as it was supper busy the phone was ringing non stop and there was about 5-6 people in the office. I can say The leasing agent greeted me and as I waited a couple of minutes she then began to explain her apartments. Im not from the area I am from Alabama and she began to take me on tour. On the tour she was so nice and helpful she answered every single question which I had a lot and she did it with a smile on her face . She made me feel comfortable on the tour. I am happy I came to tour this complex, it is beautiful and I love the A1 that was shown to me. I will be leasing here today. Look forward to calling this my new home.

I gave a phone call on Friday and spoke with Taylor about some A1and an A2 floor plan he gave me prices over the phone. Then I called Saturday and spoke with Sarah i believe was he name and she was so helpful I asked so many questions and to each question she had an answer she send me photos and videos of the apartment itself for a virtual tour. Just wanted to say the customer service at this complex is good

Apartment was supposed to be move in ready today Spider Webs, Dirty Fridge, Filthy Floors, Water Damaged Window Seal, and Mold!! The dishwasher is damaged, front door is damaged, dings on walls, chipped paint with marks on walls and shelves, patio isnt painted and is filthy, They had plenty of time to make it ready. Its ALL ABOUT THE MONEY with them!!! JUST HORRIBLE!!!

Stopped by to request information today regarding floor plans/pricing. As I walked in, I said Good morning! There were two staff members, one male and one female. Neither responded nor even cared to look up. They both continued to stare at their computer screens as if no one had walked in. Soon after, the female simply requested for the male to take care of me. No good morning. No welcome. Nothing. Beautiful apartments from the outside. (didnt bother to ask for a tour given the lack of professionalism from both staff members; what more could you expect as a resident) Complete lack of basic customer service skills when a potential future resident is not even greeted.

I had a disappointing experience trying to schedule a tour. First of all, the leasing office was short staffed and no matter how many times I tried to call throughout the day, no one answered my call. When I walked in to the leasing office at 4.30pm requesting for information since no one answered my call, the lady at the front desk asked me to drop by the next day because the floor plan that I need to view was being cleaned. She assured me that the next day I would have an apt to look at. The very next day there was another lady at the leasing office who practically said I am sorry, the crew is still cleaning the apt that you want to look at. So I asked her is there any other apt that you can show me and she mentioned, since I am the only one in the leasing office I cannot show it to you as I cannot leave the leasing office. I had to take off of work for two days so that I could come and view the apartments. I felt poor customer service and decided I would look elsewhere.

Came in the office this morning the manager greeted me which was very nice the office its self its very homely like. She gave me all the information about the B1 floor plan. Love the golf course view and the view of the property itself looked like the grounds were very taken care of. I think this could be my new home Janay helped me make my mind up on the exact apartment and for the right price.

This apartment was awesome in the beginning of 2020 when I moved in until they brought all the terrible staffs in to run things here. Especially that Sara...OMG, she has the most horrible customer service I have ever seen. In terms of attitude and customer relations, Sara is not fit for that job. Even when you try to explain things to her in the lowest voice ever, she will say you are yelling at her.They put all my things out in my patio storage and set everything in the rain. God knows I am going to sue for any damage.

The office staff have been so wonderful to me when I transitioned from Florida. Every time I call Sarah answers all bubbly and it just makes my day. Janay is always there to help if I come in for a work order that needs to be completed. I would recommend Avalon as your number one place to live.

The first year living here was fine. The first six months or so Chandler worked in the office and was so wonderful, but then they started changing staff every few weeks who were terrible. They wouldn’t reply to emails, calls, and would always be roaming around in the golf cart and leave the office empty. After renewing my contract for a second year everything became much worst. The snow storm hit, pipes burst ruining apartments, we ran out of water, and the mail boxes were broken into. They kept saying they were going to restore the water day after day but it took them two and a half weeks to actually restore it. TWO AND A HALF WEEKS. And since then, they turn off the water a few hours a day because there is always something broken. The apartments affected from the broken pipes took also took about 2-3 weeks to be fixed. Also, our mail was being sent to a USPS office which was always so busy and it was a headache to go get. They didn’t fix the mail boxes until a MONTH later. And NOW the community gate has been creaking EVERYTIME it opens and closes. And because it is the weekend they don’t have anyone to fix it or AT LEAST keep the gates open. The whole night I couldn’t sleep from all the cars going in and out, and now I have to go through that all over again because they are so disorganized and unprepared with everything, or maybe it is just laziness. Let’s see how long it takes them to fix this problem, 2 weeks as well?

This apartment complex is amazing. The staff does nothing but exceptional work. Any work orders are taken care of very quickly and if you have any questions the office staff is there to help you. Taylor from the office in particular has helped me so much when it comes to this property. I feel safe and at home.

Pros:-Maintenance is pretty fast!-Complex is pretty quiet. Even living near the dog park.-Leasing office staff is nice, but a little unorganized though.-Units are pretty up to date and beautiful.Cons:-Parking SUCKS. Literally knocks this place to three stars. I come home from work at TWO and there is not one empty parking spot near my building. Some of the uncovered parking spots are occupied by cars that aren’t even in use (flat tires, etc). I have to circle around the complex several times before I settle with a parking spot 3-4 buildings away. There is TONS of empty covered parking everywhere. The days I actually get a decent parking spot (rarely) dare I even leave my house to run an errand.- Prior to moving in there was LOADS of dog hair everywhere. In all the rooms, including the kitchen. With that being said, the apartment was not ready for move in. Luckily my family are not allergic to animals but that is just flat out disgusting.-There’s a trail of ants entering our bathroom. How?! We cannot find the entrance way. My only guess it’s coming from a neighboring unit.

The change in management has happened many times and with each change unfortunately the quality of staff declines. I have a son with special needs. Numerological (seizures) and Autism. The used very harsh chemicals (paint thinner) while “fixing” another apartment WITHOUT ANY NOTIFICATION AT ALL!!! Extreme odors such as these is a common trigger for seizures! They flooded my apartment with the smell of these chemicals which could easily result in a trip to the ER OR WORSE for my son. It’s so bad that I myself (perfectly healthy) have the worst headache! I called multiple times today with NO ANSWER, which unfortunately is very typical. I finally went in person to the management office and when I addressed with the staff I received a “I’ll make note of that”. That’s great! Meanwhile I’m dealing with illness and having to relocate my son to a hotel because of your lack of care or concern for your tenants. I have never had a late payment and would expect a simple notification when you utilize dangerous chemicals that are known to cause illness and even cancer! I have noticed that we are not the only tenants in the complex with special circumstances. If I notice these things then you as well should and take care to provide proper notice when exposing the vulnerable to known dangers!

It’s been two months that they haven’t been able to fix 10 sqft Sheetrock in my bathroom, Im still not able to use bathroom after two and half months,,,, asked them several times, I’ve gone to office once a week, nothing happened .........you are welcome to this complex if you can live 2 months with not using bathroom .......

They never answer the phone. I walked in one day with an issue because I could never get anyone on the phone and there was no one inside. They were all out smoking. Also, they never wear masks. The staff and maintenance both. Don’t move here.

Janay the property manager has done so much for this property. During the winter storm the staff has been working non stop day in and day out making sure our apartments are taken of- Sarah, kayce, and Janay have been providing updates 2-3 times a day. They are always with someone in the office, and the fact they give us time to talk to them while they are slammed is outstanding. they have gone above and beyond- when the maintenance fixed my leak in my home, they replaced my faucet which was on a service request I put in. Janay even called me late at night making sure to give me an update. Who does that when they have their own life?! They did that out of there busy schedule when I know it wasn’t an emergency. the team has a smile and has been so positive during this time. The maintenance was even shoveling out water themselves out of apartments since vendors couldn’t come out that night. The staff cares so much for us and it truly shows. Thank you for all you have done, this is being noticed and all they really need right now is compliments as they deserve because of their hard work.

As a resident here i enjoy my stay, the staff is perfect.The property manager janae, and the new assistant Taylor are amazing. I have noticed that the office lately has 10 cars parked outside all day and people in and out, so i decided to bring them some cookies today. They gave the biggest smile and felt so appreciated. I haven’t moved in yet but will in about 4 weeks. I was at a neighboring property looking and by passed Avalon. The following weekend I went back and decided to stop at Avalon. Chandler was phenomenal! She was knowledgeable, patient, and accommodating especially with my busy 3 year old. When I walked into the B3 floor plan I loved that it felt like a HOME! Chandler responded quickly with my approval information and has answered any follow up questions. I called in today to see about moving up my move in date and I spoke to another young lady who was equally friendly! I hope that Avalon will be my home for while!

Stay away from this place., Besides all the problems at this complex they will try to take your money, make sure that you take pictures of every single thing when moving out because these 🐀🐀 are going to rob you. They will lie that your carpet needs to be replace, so make sure that you take a pic of it because if not they will charge you more than $1000 dollars for it. Janay you are the biggest 🐀 in here. I came in town from Houston the other day to look at your apartment complex and was greeted by Chandler. She was awesome from beginning to end. Very friendly, very knowledgeable, and very professional! The front office was clean and the property was great. I am relocating to the DFW area soon and will highly consider this property when the time comes. Ashley and Chandler were super accommodating throughout the entire application/move in process. Kudos to these ladies for keeping in great communication with me the entire time. The apartment was very clean upon move in, and had very little fixes that needed to be made. Juan was very friendly and came to do some minor adjustments in a timely manner. I moved into Avalon at Chase Oaks in late December. Percy the property manager and staff made me feel welcomed. They listened to me and my request I wanted in a new apartment. Showed me 3 units and let me decide which unit I felt was best for me. I absolutely love the unit I selected. The complex is super quiet and I am enjoying my new place. I really like living here. No place is perfect but the apartments are nice, they are priced fairly and the office staff is very attentive. Everyone in the office has been nice and helpful to me. The maintenance team is great, too. I just renewed my lease for another year. I would recommend the community to others.

Chandler was great! Helped me move-in extremely quickly. Everything was nice and clean at move-in. Had an issue with my dishwasher, and the maintenance crew was there same day to fix it. That was basically the only hiccup, but it got fixed pretty quickly. Great service!

Please dont live here! The rent is overpriced. The apartment manger and assistant manger barely answer their phone when someone calls for help. The foundation of the apartment is old and poor. The water cuts on and off. Sometimes we have problems with our AC. The rocks are unnecessary and its scattered everywhere. I almost fell because of those rocks. The gate needs improvement. Now I understand why my cousin moved out of this place.

My mom and I just moved here recently and I can honestly say the place is beautiful. So far anything I need they have been on point. There are too many perks to name. Percy is a wonderful and thorough manger, fully transparent from where I stand. No hidden fees and that was the deal breaker for me. . The location is perfect! 20 minutes from downtown Dallas, but away from the downtown traffic. I definitely take advantage of the 24 hour fitness center. I also like the fact that my apartment comes with a covered carport so Im never looking for parking when I get home from work. Maintenance team is great and friendly. Definitely would recommend if your relocating to the DFW area.

This is my second year at Avalon and I must say that our new manager, Percy is a delight and I believe he genuinely cares about making Avalon the best property in the area. Having the beautiful trees and the creek running behind my building is a plus. For exercise, I walk around the complex in the evenings and I feel like Im in a park!

Just do not move here. This place was recently taken over by a brand new management company and ever since, its gone down hill so quickly. Since we moved in during March of 2015 until now, our water has been shut off over 10 times, in addition, we have been without hot water for several evenings. Please know that we pay almost 1400 dollars to live in this crap hole. We renewed our lease ONLY because we are waiting on a house. Upon renewing our lease, our rent also went up 200 dollars. 3 months after our lease, we had several issues building up and we finally submitted a service request. It took them over 5 days to come out, and they only came because I went into the office begging for someone to help us-turns out they only had one maintenance man? Convenient. When we finally had a man come down, he was super sweet and overworked and we treated him to something nice for being so awesome. The awesomeness of this place began and ended with him. Pool was closed for several weeks in the dead of summer and is closed again now (its still hot as hell). I regret moving here and regret even more so that we renewed a lease here.

The management office is incapable of controlling their subcontractors. They have a towing service that drives around on random nights and will tow your car if your tire is touching the white lines. Even if there are 10 open spots around you. The pest control is also terrible. They spray your apartment and inside your cabinets without warning and without regard for your health. I don’t want to breathe and eat the poisonous chemicals on a regular basis. I think I am developing a health condition from it.

I found this place randomly off Legacy drive. Its an older property, but you couldnt tell by how well the apartments are upkept. The office staff is very welcoming and friendly. The landscape is well maintained. Would def recommend to friends!

I’ve been at Avalon for over a year and received nothing but superb customer service from the Managment office and staff. If you are looking to move into this apartment complex I highly recommend it. I just renewed my lease solely on the new management team that was put into place a few months ago. the property manager Percy C. is awesome and Traci is as equally great. The new team made the world of a difference because I would have moved if it wasnt for the management team. The property is always clean and quite and they keep in consent contact with the tenants regarding closures, upgrades, etc. Im looking forward to another great year of leasing.

Where to start, I moved to The Avalon at CO, about 2 months ago. i have nothing but wonderful things to say. from the amazing staff in the front office to the maintenance team everyone is always so friendly and helpful! the grounds are always kept so clean and neat. the floor plans are very well thought out and are truly functional. DO NOT live in these apartments. My husband and I have lived here a year now and weve regretted it since the first 3 months. If you would like details, please keep reading, but for a quick SUMMARY: Back gate entrance is constantly broken, you only get one remote, remote doesnt work anyways, front office staff do not know how to fix remote, you are charged for second remote, AC units are god awful, AC units rattle very loudly, AC units drip often, doors and windows poorly sealed, paint is very cheap, door frames chewed by pets from previous tenants, poor lighting in apartment complex, both tubs are very cheap and creak very loudly, shower handles are rounded so theres no grip to turn knob when showering, there is dog feces everywhere especially in the dog play area.The back gate is constantly broken. It will be fixed for a week, then be broken for another month or so.The apartments only give you ONE remote. Even though our lease is with 2 adults. You have to pay extra if you want a second remote, but heres the catch, the remote given to us doesnt even work. Weve gone to the front office several times and each time staff tells us they dont know how to program the remote. Which is fine I suppose seeing as how the gate is broken all the time anyways.One of the big selling points. Is the beautiful vaulted ceilings. They are vaulted, but the roof is full of small cracks. We have a crack going almost across the entire kitchen.Also the vaulted ceilings have been an instant regret for us because the Air Conditioners in all the units are AWFUL. They do not cool all the rooms, some of the rooms dont get air at all even with the vent is open. The Air Conditioner is also VERY loud. Its located in the bathroom connected to the master bedroom. You cant hear each other talk over the very loud rattling of the panel. Weve asked several times for better AC units or to even fix the rattling but weve been told theres nothing they can do. So our AC is constantly on, loud, and not cooling down any of the apartment. Another reason the apartments are very hot or very cold depending on the weather is because all the windows and doors are poorly sealed. My husband and I had to go buy our own seal for the front doors and windows because weve been told by maintenance that theres no problem even though you can feel a draft coming from the windows. The AC units also drip straight down through the walls instead of the water landing on a small slope. So theres a frequent dripping sound between the walls when the AC is off.The paint in the apartments is very cheap. I try to clean up the walls of any stains and paint comes off even with a wet paper towel.The tubs in both bathrooms creak VERY loudly when any sort of weight is on it. So trying to take a shower without waking up the whole apartment is impossible. The knobs of the shower are also garbage. Its not a handle...its a ROUND knob. So when youre taking a shower its very difficult to change the temperature or even turn the shower off.A lot of the door frames have not been repaired from previous pet owners. Instead of fixing or replacing the very obvious chewed wood they just painted over it.The dog park is also not maintained or supervised at all. I know its both a fault of the residents here as well, but there is dog poop EVERYWHERE. Especially in the dog park. My dog has actually once gotten very ill from the bacteria and germs in the piles of feces around the dog park. One resident saw me picking up after my dog and personally thanked me for doing so. That should give you a big insight to just how bad the conditions are around the apartments.The apartment complex is also poorly lit. There arent any lamp posts or street lamps. Theres only small lights on the apartment buildings or on the balconies of the apartments.For the price of these apartments, and how cheap they were made, please look elsewhere to live. My husband and I are ecstatic to move out soon.

The buildings themselves were constructed several years ago, however the interior of the units themselves are clean and fairly well-maintained. However the wall corners are rather banged up, missing chucks, etc. The paint is also pretty cheap, it will wipe off with a damp paper towel.The front office staff is usually helpful. I imagine most of the negative reviews are from people that did not understand something, and decided to take out that frustration on the people they could put a face/name to...e.g. the poor individuals in the front office.One complaint is that the windows dont seem to insulate very well by modern standards, but that is more of a corporate failing to invest rather than something the local staff can remedy, in my opinion.

The WORST apartment complex ever! There is never any hot water in the complex they claim the water heater breaks and you get charged a full water bill. They are always loosing packages or giving them to the wrong residents. Now, they dont take packages so you have to go to the post office or fed ex locations. The online residence portal is down the day rent is due so they can sneak in that late charge. Maintaintence orders that weeks to get completed. And to top it off there is no clear communication with management to their residents. I can not wait to my lease is up later this year.. if things improve Ill update my post. I wouldnt recommend anyone to live here.

I drove around the property, considering it as a place to move to when I noticed a residences upstairs balcony. They had a king sized confederate flag pinned to one wall and an original American rebel flag on the other.You cant always control who your neighbors are however, the fact that the management staff allows this to be displayed says a whole lot about who and what they are. The first thing that I said was this is definitely a hostile living environment.

Hi everyone. I just want to put in my 2 cents worth. I have lived there for 4 years. Years 1 -2.5 were great. Good staff, and service. year 2.5 - 3 very bad. I think that was due to a bad manager I dont know why. But now, things are great. Great manager (Morgan) and the staff takes care of everything within a reasonable time. Yes these apartments are 30 years old. But my wife and I enjoy living here and just signed up for another year. We have great neighbors and its been a great experience for the most part. Nino Arzon.

Please read! In your contract your lease AUTOMATICALLY renews unless you cancel it two months before the lease ends. I was unaware of this while signing and almost got locked into another lease without knowing.After living there for two months my rent increased because of a computer error I wasnt paying enough. That seemed entirely preventable.The staff there is very nice! The management does not record what they say and do not highlight inportant aspects of the lease.This place has two stars for a reason. Highly recommend one of the other four apt complexes within a mile of the place.

*MIRACLIOUS IMPROVEMENT*The new manager Percy is nothing shy of AMAZING. He has incorporated such great things into the community this past month any other of the others in the past years! Back to school bash, donation drives, maintenance requests now take like maybe 2 days instead of 2 weeks, and he is extremely genuine to all people. Percy seeks & finds a solution to every unique situation. Jorge has the Best Customer Service ever heard of. He answers all questions while he has you on the phone without ever saying “I will have someone call you back”! Jorge values your time and his smile radiates through the phone every single time. The maintenance team Kelly, Juan, and Sergio are very hardworking and are such friendly people whom seem to work happier under the new manager, Percy.I renewed my lease for an entire year.Thanks Avalon!

I was going to go directly to the corporate office, however, it seems that I could just join in with all the other very well written, concise, and very direct complaints to make my own valid complaint.I have not even moved in yet--I filled out an application late July 2017 for move-in date of late September. I completed the application in the management office and from all I could tell was approved and that part of the process was done. I also retrieved all of my income statements for verification and gave them to Nicole. I was given the address for my apartment and invited via email to sign up for the resident portal all on the same day. Several days go by, and I went over to the office to ask a few questions. Not a problem getting answers. Several more days go by, I go to the office again to ask to see an actual 1-bedroom apartment versus the beautiful 2-bedroom apartment they show you initially. Very good customer service. Several days go by again, and I go over to ask about possibly renting the larger size 1-bedroom apartment. I was even given a tour of that apartment. Still excellent sevice.Now here is where it gets to be a complaint. Just recently I went over to the office and asked one of the staff members what my pro-rated rent would be for moving in on September 30. She gave me an amount for September 24 instead. No real problem there because that was a tentative date to begin with. A few days went by, and I emailed Nicole to get a more accurate amount for just the one day. She emailed me back with a comment about figuring out the amount and would get back to me. She did get back to me either that day or the next telling me that my application had been approved but with conditions which consisted of an additional one months rent upon move in. Couldnt believe it. Nicole also via email told me that the manager had to approve the application. I emailed her back with a loud What?!! and also told her that I was coming over there that same day and I wanted my deposit ready since now I had to go look for another apartment.After I arrived there, I spoke to Nicole and Morgan. I explained to them both my frustration of not getting this information in a more timely manner so that I either could have made arrangements for this very disturbing turn of events, etc. I could not understand the reasoning behind this decision and the manager could not explain it to me. All the both of them could do was apologize. What really concerned me is that from the time I filled out the application to the time they notified me was weeks and both of them are in the SAME office. Talk about poor mismanagement. I get that people make mistakes, but when that type of work is your primary responsibility, it is extremely concerning as to how they manage other mundane office procedures. The next thing they told me that they did drop the ball and that she would try to get my deposit back ASAP. Then later emailed me that it would take 2 weeks before I would get my deposit back. Neither one of your staff made any type of concession for inconveniencing me. I have saved all the back-and-forth emails if you would care to review and maybe you could use them as a training tool because they also told me that there is a lack of proper training. Not to mention the miscommunication among whom I am not sure because between them and myself, there was no communication.I guess I am in good company in the complaints department about your management staff. I thought it might be just me.Needless to say, even if I had the extra rent, I wouldnt move into your apartments if it were rent free.After a full day and a half, I have found a lovely apartment and approved with no considerations. Actually at these apartments, the only thing that the manager does is review your income, which the office agent already completed. So still not sure what Avalons manager-review process is that corporate doesnt already approve.Oh well.

Please dont live here! Im begging you. The rent is too expensive, the foundation of the apartment is very bad, the apartment complex is unkempt, the staff barely answer the phone, the A/C is weak, The appliances are cheap, ice maker in our refrigerator didnt work when we first moved in, the patio blinds keep breaking off, the water system is poor and the water gets shut on and off, dont pay your rent online because they will charge $43.36 service fee, and the ceiling have cracks. I suggest you move somewhere else!

Parking is very limited and vehicles are left in prime spots without being moved for extended periods of time causing us single women to have to park quite far from our apartments causing walking those far distances alone in the dark. These vehicles i’m referring to are the white van and black pick up as well as a small black car next to the handicap spot between buildings 1 and 2. This is my biggest problem with this complex. My daughters safety is my number one priority and with broken gates and not enough parking spots is a problem. Any vehicles that are not going to be used daily need to be moved out of the prime spots and parked in the back.Gates always seem to be broken which was one of the key reasons we moved to Avalon for the security of it being a gated community. Back gate was working for about 2 days and is now broken againApartments just changed out our toilets to save on water however they seem really cheap and are very small seat size wise.

Please Read! When your lease ends you have to give a 60 day notice or YOUR LEASE WILL RENEW AUTOMATICALLY. This is in all their contracts. If you turn in your keys the day your rent ends, it will cost (approximately) 735$ to cancel your lease because it would have already renewed.

I just moved in and I have to say I couldnt be more pleased with the office staff and response time. Tracie and Gorge in the office have been so pleasant and very accomodating. The apartment itself could have been a little cleaner at move in, but thats really no big deal, as I would clean myself when I move in anyway. I expect to live here for a long time. Location is great too, close to everything and yet still feels like an actual apartment HOME with trees and grass and all the ameninites you need. Overall a great place!
