Great to be able to have sweeper repaired instead of replacing. Mr. Mathies does good work, is quick and efficient. I have been going here for years and would recommend him to every one.

I must say that this is the best service I received from the owner of this business. Very friendly, professional, fast immediate service as I didnt have to wait very long. His prices are reasonable to fix your sewing machine and he fixes it immediately after checking the machine. Only if its a more complicated issue does he hold the machine in the shop. He is also very knowledgeable about what he does. I would definitely recommend anyone going here to fix your sewing machine problems and I will definitely be going back. I had a sewing machine that hadnt worked properly for years that I had stopped using altogether and I took it to this shop and he fixed my machine in 10 minutes. Im so happy now I can sew my masks 😷. I called and left a message about my Dyson Ball Animal 2 beaters not working. I got a call back within 4 hours. Before H Matthie would let me bring it in, he had me check a few things, and sure enough, the problem was with me, not the vacuum cleaner. I received friendly, professional and quick service. My Shark vacuum had a broken hose between the body and the foot of the vacuum. I could not find the correct replacement part online. The replacement part I had did not fit properly. Mr. Mathie looked at it and said Well, lets see.. The next thing I knew he had taken the new piece apart and fashioned it to fit the vacuum. Impressive workmanship, and very reasonable.

Picked up a vacuum belt. He told us if the brush doesn’t spin don’t use it because the belt will break. The brush was spinning normally. I was excited to clean the floor and after 2 minutes the belt broke. So I called to explain it was a little smaller than the original and I will just bring the original belt in to match up and he freaks out and tells me he will just refund my money and hangs up on me. That’s not what I was calling about. I could have brought my vacuum in for an assessment and paid for that but instead he thinks I want $2.50

He was quick it was in the shop for one week, the price was lower than I expected and he ran it in front of me to show me it was running great again.i would recommend this place all day long.

He is meticulous in the order process. I found it refreshing as expectations are clear. Friendly, professional and timely. The machine runs and sounds as if it was new. He provided a scrap of cloth to show all features were tested and working as expected as well as an actual demonstration of it working. He gave detailed information on how to operate and store the machine (which I didnt know well). The price for repair was very reasonable and well worth any downside there may have been. If there were any to note, it would be parking. There isnt any. I am not condoning it, but the car rental shop didnt seem too upset that I parked there for the short time I needed to go in and out. Call ahead to make sure he is in. He will get my service any time I need it for sewing machines or vacuums.

He can fix basically anything. I bring him lots of sewing machines that my students trash and he gets them working.

I am impressed that Herbert Matthie tries to do his best in repairing machines, and the results on each of the sewing machines I brought to him to fix were excellent. After he repaired each machine, they were as good as new - the one where he installed a new motor ended up better than new! Highly recommended!!

I needed a belt and a beater bar for my Ricca vacuum. I bought the vacuum in Bethel Park and did not want to drive over there when this “repair” store was down the street from me.He immediately said he couldn’t help me. He was rude and I will gladly go back to Bethel Park for my vacuuming needs.

Herbert is a great guy and a pretty decent mechanic -- I only wish that he would retire already so that his customers will come to my shop instead :)And btw, thanks for all of the lemon grass...ba
