I’ve been going to this salon for a little over a year now. The energy is always positive and I leave feeling wonderful! They do a very very good job. Definitely highly recommended!!! The location is also excellent and easy to access.

After years of not getting my hair cut professionally I finally put my trust in Jeff.. A few months ago he did my first cut beautifully. Today I come home to so much hair gone, not even asked or said anything until he finished. Then when I straighten it to see how he did with the cut I burst into tears. Remind me next time I wanna get my hair trimmed to pay myself 75 dollars and cut straight across and give myself a butch cut. My hair is precious to me as anyone elses and for him to cut so much off without even consulting me first I am completely devastated.

I was at the end of the day, which is of no excuse to walk out looking exactly the same as when I came in. $78.00 to the owner then, left a highly generous tip not so much for the owner but the girl who was there just to be nice. I told Jeff what I wanted and all I got was some split ends done for $78.00. Perhaps Im not one of the beautiful or classy enough person.I was going t o a very high end baby shower for my daughter, and I was embarrassed by the way my hair looked. I didnt want people to know her mother wouldlook this way. I work constantly, and its difficult to take time for myself. When I finally do, I would like people to notice. Super Cuts did a better job for me when I could do a walk in. I wish I could say that Jeff does a great job every time.

Im in my fifties and Ive finally found someone who really knows how to color hair. Jeff is a wizard for blonds and gave me a really great cut as well. I was surprised by the comment about chattiness as i found it just the opposite; very quiet which is what i like. Im so happy i found them.

Fantastic!!! I had the Brazilian Blowout by Jeff, the owner. Unbelievable results! I have very frizzy kinky hair with only slight curl definition. I have lived in the Pittsburgh area for 10 years and have been to hairdressers throughout Pittsburgh, Shadyside, Sewickley and Beaver County suburbs. I have had many, many Brazilian Blowouts and Keratin Treatments with lousy results. I finally found a hairdresser, Jeff, that could tame my hair! Given this area’s crazy humidity, I used to live in baseball caps and scarves. No more! I wear my sleek soft locks down! Can’t say enough about this place.

Anthony is awesome. Hes only there a couple times a week, but he is worth the wait. I am a hair stylist myself, so trusting someone to touch my head makes me a nervous wreck. I sit down and let him do whatever he wants to do to my hair and he has never let me down. He has by far given me the best color, and cuts including when I chopped my hair off into a pixie cut. He is confident, and makes you feel confident also. The man has got it going on, and I will never go to anyone but him. GO SEE ANTHONY. You will not be disappointed!

I have been going to Jayne for the past several years for styling, color, and eyebrows. She does a great job. I always get compliments on my highlights and style. I disagree with a review below. Jayne is great at what she does and I appreciate and trust her professional opinion when it comes to coloring and styling.

I came in wanting a drastically different style than what I had previously. The stylist walked me through what would look good and made sure it was what I wanted before he started cutting, which was really nice. I love the style and plan on returning for my next haircut.

Had a full color treatment and haircut by Lee, and I think he was amazing! We talked over what I wanted done for my hair color, and he made some suggestions to allow it to turn out better then expected. He really knows his stuff!

Jeff is a color wizard! I had a terrible color job at a very prominent and over priced salon also in Shadyside and Jeff came to the rescue! I have lived in Boston and New York and by far this is the best cut and color hands down.

Asked for highlights. Took 3 hours. Eric and assistant were really nice. Came on a Monday. Less crowded. discount for cash payers.

I went to Nadia for a MUCH needed haircut after going to Regis a few months back. Jayne was my stylist and she is amazing! I had a certain image in my head of what I wanted and she explained something that sounded way better for my lifestyle, without being pushy about it. Super friendly and smart about what will work for your hair! I will never make the mistake of going to a chain or cheaper salon again.

I don’t normally write reviews but this one deserves the one star. I showed the stylist a picture of what kind of hair I wanted and ended up getting something that is not even a tiny bit close to it (I had to take off my glasses so I couldn’t see until he finished). I guess he just didn’t know how to do it and decided to give me the most generic male cut you could imagine. And he didn’t even do a good job on that which took him 50 mins to finish going back and forth about 20 times from scissors to faders. Honestly, trust the other comments, place with half the price does a way better job.

After a handful of haircuts at budget chains, with mediocre results, I decided to go somewhere nicer and get a little advice about what kind if cut I should go with. I got Bruce, and he was very helpful, and seemed very knowledgable. Friendly, too. Really glad I gave this place a try.

They’re ok. Too chatty and do not listen to the customer. I had a haircut there, I won’t be going again. It was ok, nothing special at all, which is not what I expected at the hefty price I paid.

When I moved to Pittsburgh, I was nervous about finding a new hair stylist. Today was my third visit here, and I just had to write a review. I always get a balayage and cut, and I always walk out so pleased with my hair. They really treat hair like art.

Best salon in Pittsburgh, hands down. After I moved here i went to several different places to try and get a good hair cut but after each one i was left less than satisfied. Its hard to find someone that can cut my curly hair so that it looks good if i wear it curly or strait. Lee has done my hair a handful of times now and it comes out amazing every time. He not only listens to what you want but if your not sure what style youd like you can just ask him to do what he think will look good on you and I havent regretted that once! Hes also done ombre highlights in my hair and they turned out gorgeous. For anyone like me who was struggling to find a good hair dresser who will leave you walking away feeling like a million bucks Lee is your man! Although this salon is a little more pricey than others you do get what you pay for!

First off the price ranges that they show on their website are not even CLOSE to what the price ends up being. I know those are all starting prices but my total made my jaw drop. There wasnt even that much of a difference or what I asked for, for paying over $200 for the services. the customer service was not great either. I tried many times to maintain convo with my stylist but my stylist seemed completely disinterested. Not to mention it took almost FOUR hours to do what my previous stylist could do in about 2 for half the price. It took an hour to trim and blow dry my hair. Not sure if thats why my pricing was so high but definitely not worth it. Was not a very welcoming environment for new clients but they seemed very friendly with their regulars, which is nice, if youre a regular, but If you are new there be prepared to feel unwelcomed. When I go to get my hair done I like to feel like Im being pampered, not like Im paying $200 to burden my hair stylist. I will not be going back there and definitely will not be recommending this salon.

I went to get several inches (like 7-8) off my hair. Had an appointment with Jeff (owner). The salon itself looked kind of run down, and needed some upkeep as far as painting and cleaning goes.The guy who shampooed my hair was really rough, and was talking to a co-worker of his the whole time.Jeff did a great job with my hair, though did not really give a consultation. He had just finished up with a client before he took me over. The cut hair from the previous client had not been swept up, and right before I sat down, Jeff took a blow dryer and just blew the hair away like a leaf blower. He was also rather rough with the hair cut, and did not really have any technique with blowing my hair.It was $65. Another thing I thought was weird was that they did not have a retail section. They were selling this cheap looking jewelry on the front desk, and had 1 Paul Mitchell straightener on the desk. But no products or anything else.I then was not asked if I wanted to reschedule.Would go if I had no place else to go, but, I think next time I am going to try somewhere else.

The stylists here are artists and they deserve to be known that way! When I decided to cut off over 12 inches of hair for an edgier look I went to Lee, and he did a fantastic job! Since then Ive tried to cut corners by going to other places with lower prices and have been utterly disappointed EVERY single time! My job unofficially requires me to look my best, so for or the sake of my career and my confidence I let my hair grow back a bit. Now, Im finally going back and Ive definitely learned my lesson.. I wont ever see another stylist again! #ForeverNadia

I have been going to Nadia Hair Salon for approx. 1 1/2 years. First went to Anthony and then switched to Lee only because Anthony changed his hours and his new hours did not accommodate my schedule. Both Anthony and Lee awesome hair dressers. What I find lacking with the salon is simply getting an appointment. This is the 3rd time I have had an issue getting an appointment. I have to leave 2-3 messages before getting a return phone call. I spent almost $500 at this hair salon at the end of March. I spend alot of money there and give great tips. The last visit I asked why is it so difficult to get a return phone call and I am told they are hiring a receptionist. I left a message the week before last. I left a message this past Friday, May 15, 2015. I left a message today, Tuesday, May 19th at around 11:15am. No return phone calls. I called around 3:45pm today, Tuesday, May 19th and got a voice. Kerri answered the phone. I explained my frustration and she said Lee doesnt work on Tuesdays and she hung up on me. I called back and got the answering machine. Does it take Lee, the hair dresser to give me an appointment? If you can get a return phone call back and if you can get to talk to a person, you will be so pleased with your experience. If you dont, you will be frustrated. The sad thing is that BOTH Lee and Anthony whom I have gone to are excellent hairdressers and I am so pleased everytime I leave the salon. I drop alot of money at this hair salon with Kerratin treatments, highlights and color and hair cut. I always felt it was worth it despite all the money and tips I spend there. All that I ask is simply a return phone call for an appointment or someone to answer the phone so that I can schedule an appointment.

I didnt like my experience here because there was major miscommunication. I called for an all over hair coloring appointment. I went there and the secretary said a haircut, right?. I said no, its for all over hair dye She said Oh ok, I will let Jayne know. This is my first time dying my hair, but I read online that you should go in with unwashed hair, so I did. The first thing Jayne does is wash my hair and cutting it to the picture that I showed her, but I even talked about the color, and she did not comprehend that I was not there for a cut. She kept referencing Kim Kardasihians hair.... which im sorry to say, I dont follow Kim Kardashians hair... at all, so I had no idea what she was tlaking about.The next thing I know, shes cutting my hair. When we finally had the misunderstanding taken care of, she would not do what i wanted. I just wanted that color. She said you know the girls hair in the picture is styled, right? Yes, i do know. I just want that color. But no, she said i was too young(25) to get all over color so here I am with some highlights(kind of lazily done, since she used a total of 6 pieces of foil). And I paid 160..... not worth it.
