I have been going to this spa for probably 15 years. Beyond a shadow of a doubt, it is THE BEST SPA IN PITTSBURGH!!!! Everyone who works there is talented, highly professional and immeasurably kind. Every time I leave there, I feel renewed in body, mind and spirit. Do yourself a favor and go there. You’ll be glad you did. Just like me, you will be saying “I love EVA! Had my first ever massage! Kat, my massage therapist, was sweet, kind, attentive to my needs, and was a miracle worker! If I could go every day, I would! The salon is gorgeous and relaxing. I cant wait to go back.

I went to get a gel manicure there on Saturday with my daughter. Despite expressing multiple concerns that my gel was shrinking back from my fingertips and had obvious stripes in it the technician continued on and told me that I could “come back in for a repair”. She even buffed the ends and added extra coats to even it out which is absolutely not appropriate with gel.I expressed the fact that I was highly dissatisfied after my experience and was promised a call from the owner or manager to make amends or perhaps offer me a complimentary redo in the future. I never received a call or email. The front desk was very dismissive. Additionally my 4 year old messed up two of her nails before we left and I was not offered a chance for a repair before I left even with a charge.While the facial services are good I’m not sure I will return after this terrible experience

I went today for a package with a hot stone massage, cocoa mud wrap, facial and blowout. What a great experience! Nathaniel gave an amazing massage and wrap and the facial I got from Carly left my skin feeling so clean and glowing. Blowout by Cynthia was equally amazing and she was delightful to speak with! I can’t wait to go back.

I do not recommend this business. My eyebrows are botched from the microblading that was done at this facility. It’s been years (2018) and I’m still suffering from the consequences of a terrible job. They tried to fix it but it only got worse and made the pigment thicker and deeper into the dermis. The shape of the my eyebrows are completely different from each other and the color is way off. I will have to spend thousands of dollars to remove their mistake with laser removal. The person that provided the service needs a lot more training, if only I knew then what I know now! (FYI, I have receipts prove it was Esspa).

The dazzle dry manicure I received here is FOUR weeks old and is still largely intact. I am blown away. No gel, no UV cure. The facility was very nice and my tech was great. I will definitely be back.

I booked my mothers very first pedicure here, and we were lucky to still have our appointment due to one of our girls not being available. Eva made it possible for the both of us to still have our pedicures together and ensured my mother had a great first experience. The atmosphere is relaxing, the employees and owner are all lovely and knowledgeable, and the parking is great. Its definitely worth a visit.

I scheduled a spa day with them to celebrate my good friend’s wedding. I had the spa date set up for 2020, but with COVID, we ended up pushing everything back a year.The spa day was for 11 girls for a 4 hour time slot (confirmed for 11AM-3PM), and after about 5 phone calls to get it all set up, I thought it was good to go.I sent out the evite, and we were really looking forward to it.About a month later, I received a voicemail to confirm the spa date for 2020. They must have saved last year’s message. I didn’t mind. I called back to let them know, and I reconfirmed the new date and time. Still thought this was OK.About a month after that, I received a phone call from the bride, to let me know that when she tried calling to schedule her appointment, they told her our time slot started at 7:30 am. This was definitely not what I had confirmed. In fact we had plans to meet in the AM and walk to the spa together.I called to ensure there wasn’t a mixup, as it seemed, and I left a Vmx with the person who answered the phone. I called back again a week later, and same thing. No response to a second message. I waited about a week later and called again, asking to please have someone call me back.I received a phone call from Scott, the owner, about an hour later. I was hoping he’d be apologetic, or even wanting to rectify the situation but instead, and to my complete surprise, I got the most rude response. He told me that “they did not need my business and to take it elsewhere.”Let me just say that I even asked “can we somehow work this out?” (Still willing to host a large group, despite the terrible experience and service this far). That was the response that I received.I ended up hosting a fantastic wine tasting at my friend’s charcuterie storefront, and after explaining why the plans had changed, several of the women responded “I’m not surprised. Scott is very entitled and is known for terrible service.”I’m about as easy to work with as people get. I would never go to this spa, nor suggest it to anyone. I understand mistakes happen. I totally get it that during COVID times, maybe things get mixed up. Big wow, what I wasn’t prepared for was this from a small business owner. Talk about not appreciating the business and acting quite entitled! I’ve been to this spa twice since moving here. There is another one in town (Pearl Aesthetic Salon) who is ten times better better quality, service and all the little things that make you feel cared for. I will happily continue to go to Pearl, and gladly share with others what type of people run this business.

My son and daughter and I love all the services that we get there.The place is warm and inviting. In the time of Covid....I really appreciate the safety measures they put in place and enforce. First time here and it‘s overall a wonderful experience! I did the 75 min CBD massage. Staff were all amazing. Heather was more than helpful and was very professional, she‘ll ask you if youre comfortable throughout and how pressure is. The set up was also nice with soothing music. Its hard to find massage therapists that do deep tissue. I had Justen and he did a great job. I also had a facial and a pedicure. The only thing I wish they had was massage chairs with the pedicures.

I have been coming to Esspa Kozmetika for years. Not only do I get a wonderful facial, but I am constantly getting compliments on my skin and it is so relaxing. It makes a difference to me when an establishment continues to have the same employees year after year. It says they are treating their employees right and the customers are highly satisfied.

The pedicures are the best in Pittsburgh. Very safe with many precautions during Covid 19 for pedicures that include distancing from any other client, all spa staff wearing masks, shields and gloves, sign in questionnaire outside the spa before entering, and all clients wearing masks. They are going above and beyond to keep everyone safe.

Ginger is by far one of the most talented estheticians and is very skilled at eyebrow arch shaping. I have seen great improvement in my skin during the time I have gone to Ginger. The products she uses are thoughtfully chosen specifically for my skin. Ginger has recommended which treatments and skin care products would be the most beneficial for my type of skin and age, but has never pushed and always allowed me to arrive at my own decision. The experience has always been relaxing. If you are looking for a great skin care specialist, I would highly recommend Ginger.

I’ve been here at least 15 times. I enjoy the services although I would say that services vary depending on who you have. The front desk staff are always very nice and friendly. I think some of the staff could use a refresher course on how to create a warm and gracious environment. I’ve had several that were snippy or just seemed really bored with their job. Part of going to a spa, is to have a luxurious treatment and work with staff who are kind. I love how the spa looks and they have a great line of products.

This company provides wonderful services here. All the staff are great. In the past there has been trouble with the owners husband being rude. The owner herself is very nice but her husband does not have the kindest things to say to people he does not know. He will come off as kind as first. Read how they respond to lower star reviews. Wonderful establishment but the professionalism is not there in how they respond and horrible front desk professionalism. Again Eva is a wonderful boss who cares about her clients and her service providers. She is very loved. The services at EsSpa is absolutely superb. They have very quality services. I would give 0 stars if it was possible! My wife has been trying to get a refund now since the beginning of August! First they refused to give her the refund because I purchased it. So I went in later that same day, They refused to give me a cash refund ( even though I paid in CASH ), mind you even though they called the owner while my wife was there and my refund was approved, for some reason I needed to wait to speak with the owner who is based in Pittsburgh and He would call Me. I NEVER received a call and weeks went by. Every time I called the location in state college where I purchased the product, they took my name and said they will have him return my call. Well I decided to call this guy myself. I found the number online and just so happen the owner was out of the country conveniently and would not be returning till the next week. Continuing to call him after the date he was supposed to be back in the office! I finally about a week later I finally received a call from this guy!!! He claimed that the check had already been sent out and verified my information. He claimed he would check where the check was mailed and take care of it asap......... Its been 3 weeks since then........ No check,No phone call, He wont return my call..... Absolute BS!! what kind place operates like this?!?!?!

I see Danene once a month, without fail. She is professional, thorough (watch out pores!) and always remembers to ask about my family (including my dogs). Yes, there is metered parking, but dont let that deter you from the best facial in Pittsburgh.

I have no complaints about the place/look/feel or my facial, even though I can strongly say I’ve had better.What made me choose this place was the products they use, organic products. I am a person who will pay top dollar for what goes on my skin so I will purchase whatever is recommended to me by a professional without question and stick to it. My tech recommended Pevonia products and I’ve got to say I am not happy with the cleanser. At max, I wear makeup twice a week and even then it’s lightweight; so when I went to dry my face after washing and saw my makeup all over the towel, I immediately regretted the purchase. I washed my face twice with the cleanser and both times I had residue on the towel. I really was shocked considering my makeup consists of a drop of foundation on a pea size of cream and blush.I’m sorry but I won’t be recommending you if I can’t trust your products.

Staff is helpful and very nice. The place is calm, inviting and beautiful. My practitioner was very good and now my underarms smell like chocolate because they use a chocolate wax :) They have relaxation areas, water with lemon and tea. Just an overall pleasant experience.

I have been going to Esspa Kozmetika for facials for years, even though I live an hour away. My esthetician, Danene, is THAT GOOD. She is delightful-- really knows her stuff, funny, friendly but can tell when I am having a day where I just want to lie quietly and be pampered. My skin has gotten so much better under her care. I totally trust her suggestions, and have found that, when she recommends a product, it really is a good choice for me. The Spa/Salon itself is charming--- like visiting a boho European villa or something. I like getting there early enough to peruse the perfumes and makeup on display, or drink some tea while looking through coffee table books. Absolutely worth a visit.

I can honestly say that I have never seen anything like this place. From the street it just looks like another typical small town storefront. But inside, what the.... It just keeps going on and on. Its like a magic trick or something, you can totally get lost in this spa - in a good way. I had a massage and a facial (my wife bought them for me on a recent trip and ordered me to go). The massage was better than most I have had but the facial (it was my first) was really great. I didnt know what to expect but the girl who did my facial was really professional and explained exactly what she was doing and why. I didnt expect to like it so much but I think I might this a regular thing. Thanks to my wife.

Ive been a client of Esspa over the years (even two previous locations! old school!), and would be there much more frequently if my budget allowed. I recently went for a 60 minute Deep Tissue massage, and it was fantastic. The atmosphere is lovely, the staff is friendly and helpful (but not intrusive at the least), and my treatment was amazing. Ive found that over the years, and among various therapists, Ive always received great service, and they have been very accommodating when Ive had questions. Theyre great about chatting when I want to, or letting me quietly relax when I dont. Ive been lucky enough to have massages at many places over the years--in Pittsburgh and elsewhere, and Esspa is consistently one of my best experiences. Its always the place I recommend when someone asks where to go in Pittsburgh.

We are new to the area and it was uncomfortable to hear one of the other employees boasting about her private experiences with her client who had just left. For the price, and the lack of cooth, probably best to steer clear of this salon. Decor was on the other hand tasteful!@the owner eva i cannot find an email to contact you, services were for my step daughter. Approximately 2 weeks ago now. Not her technician but a second technician was basically shop talking as if we were not present, not our technician.

Teen facials with Danene literally saved my son from having to go back on Accutane and prevented my younger daughter from ever having to take medication for her acne! I tried every known natural remedy to fight my teen’s acne before relying on harsh medicine. I wished I would have known of Esspa’s teen facial earlier. We are incredibly grateful to Eva and her amazing staff to help naturally heal my son and daughter’s skin.Words can’t convey my appreciation of Danene enough. Through Danene we found the right skin care products that made a dramatic difference. Danene also taught my teens how much control over their skin they actually have through good nutrition, stress management and excersize.We’ve been seeing Danene now for a few years. Over that time I made a mistake with scheduling once and thought my daughter had an appointment when she actually didn’t. I called the spa in a panic since her skin had broken out before a big event. Even though it was my fault the owner, Eva, offered to make time in her personal schedule for my daughter! Eva’s facial was amazing as well. Even with great home products it’s remarkable how much healthier my kid’s skin look after their teen facials.Not only has Danene been a God send she has also helped me stay on budget with suggesting different priced products as well as great home made solutions like adding white sugar to cleaners for a gentle face scrub. If you’re looking for good skincare and great products look no farther and if youre watching your budget like me ask a lot of questions. They have a lot of price options and Danene has helped me prioritize what products are necessary.

I just came for the first time today! I loved esspa. It was beautiful and very relaxing. I got a Brazilian and my only complaint is that there are still some noticeable hairs that were removed. So I will have to either get it touched up to fix this or continue to shave which defeats the purpose of the waxing. Other than that my experience was wonderful! They were fabulous, very friendly, offered to give me a tour and a drink, which I accepted both offers!

I went for a bikini wax since I am going on vacation. When I came home I noticed that barely anything was taken and I will still have to shave. Not pleased with the outcome

Love the full head to toe services at ESSpa.Since moving to Pittsburgh a few years ago, I have been searching for a color expert who can keep up with my blonde coiffure. I have loved ESSpa for their skin and body services, and once they added the salon services I easily found another reason to be hooked.Stylist Cynthia is amazing! She has kept my hair healthy, and balances my blonde perfectly. Her expertise is evident every time I leave an appointment. I can count on her to work her magic to keep me looking beautiful for day or night.

I had mani and pedi services with Bridget, who was very attentive. The salon is conveniently located near the Highland Park bridge and Aspinwall exit from Route 28. Parking is metered in this quaint business area, so bring quarters and dimes. Meters in front have a 2 hour limit. Maybe there are other parking options but I was running late and didnt investigate.The salon is a bit eclectic and very relaxing and comfortable. The pedicures have a separate room with recliners. The ultimate services were exactly what I wanted...NEEDED. There were good options for exfoliating scrub and lotion. I had a hazelnut scrub and mango cream that provided aromatherapy long after I left, without being overwhelming.Not only do I recommend this salon, Im scheduling my next service.
