We love Kinder Karate! It had helped our 5 year old son learn to take direction, wait his turn and learn respect for others and the people around him. The location is super easy to get to and is very well organized for pick up and drop off. I was very happy with the commutation when we were first deciding if karate was right for us. We highly recommend!

Our five year old son recently started at Kinder Karate. We were lucky to come across it through an internet search and even luckier that it is right in our neighborhood! He came home from his very first class with knowledge of commands (already!) and felt excited and confident to have this new endeavor in his life. My 5 year old daughter was so excited to join the class. He first day she was paired with another student in the class to help her learn and feel welcome. When she came out of class she was so excited to tell me about everything they learned. Her Favorite thing about class was when the teacher asked, Who would like to help Avery today? everyone raised their hand. This program is so wonderful! The teachers are in constant communication with you and make you and your child feel welcomed and informed.

My son started Kinder Karate at the Pleasant Hills location about a month ago. We have tried other karate schools in the area that did not work out but Kinder Karate is different and we are here to stay! Paul, the owner, has amazing communication skills. He contacted me as soon as my son finished his first class to see how we liked it. He contacted me again after the trial period to talk again. He is invested in his customers and it shows. His wife is also involved greatly at the karate school. I have watched her with the younger kids and she is amazing. She is understanding and patient with the children. She keeps them busy and active the whole class so they are engaged. This aspect is different than other karate schools in the area. The children learn about being respectful, being a good teammate, and how to take turns through a variety of activities.I was worried about my son because he gets distracted and fidgets sometimes. Paul and his wife ensured me that this is not a concern because that is normal 5 year old behavior. My son was disciplined for being distracted at his previous karate school. Kinder Karate has way more effective teaching methods and really understands what younger children need to thrive in class. My son loves coming here and it is not a fight to go to karate anymore!

A friend of mine recommended Kinder Karate to me and so I signed my 4 year old son up. I was immediately impressed with the great communication and information provided to me. The owners are extremely thorough in explaining the program, enrollment process, and answering any questions I had. I was able to sit in on the first class and not only did I find the physical components of the class perfect for my 4 year old but I loved how they incorporate different vocabulary and discipline. My son loves the class and he constantly asks when he gets to go back!

This is the only place that we found that would take 3 year olds and my little guy loves it! Hes even learning the social emotional pieces, which are huge for me as a preschool teacher myself.

My son will be 4 in November and just finished his trial period with Kinder Karate. He was shy and overwhelmed at the first class (understandably) but opened up at the end of class and even joined in. It is so awesome how they provide a trial period, especially for younger kids! Mrs. C is encouraging and patient but firm, and I think she really is a great fit for this age group. I was really drawn to Kinder Karate’s curriculum and methods laid out on the website when I was trying to find an activity. My questions and concerns were addressed when I sought more information and this experience has been very positive. I look forward to seeing my son’s character development and confidence build!

My son Daniel (age 4- 1/2) just finished his 3rd class and is just beyond excited for each class. He literally counts down the days to his next class. He enjoys Mrs C being so kind and patient.

Kinder Karate his has been a wonderful activity for my son Finnegan (5 years old) . We were recommended by another family that has been going to Kinder Karate for years. Kinder Karate has been great to deal with, especially considering the additional challenges of running a business during Covid. Theyve answered any questions weve had regarding the curriculum to how they plan on teaching the classes with health measures in place.4 classes in and our son is excited for Tuesday to come each week so he can go practice his karate moves with the teachers and other kids.

My son, Canaan (4.5) just started kinder Karate and absolutely loves it so far (after three classes) I’m so happy with being able to bring him to an activity that is physically challenging and also good for discipline, focus and self control. My almost 5 year old daughter wanted to try Karate, so we decided to try Kinder Karate. What a great experience so far!! She loves going and the 30 min classes are perfect for this age group to keep their attention. What impressed me the most is how the instructors are able to keep it age appropriate. They learn a skill (eg a kick, a stance, etc) and then have a circle time/discussion about something like courage or confidence. Its really great to watch and all the kids seem to really enjoy and listen well!

Kinderkarate was a great opportunity for my son to develop confidence, this continued even stronger with Ninjability. The Zoom lessons during quarantine were the highlight of our day...I am still amazed that they offered daily classes for our kids !

My 3 year old son recently started Kinder Karate. He is an active boy that needs much redirection. It was our hope that Kinder Karate would help with focus and self-control. After 2 classes we were amazed at how well he responded to reminders of using self-control. He loves puddles - all shapes and sizes. At his second class I had to park around back and there was a HUGE puddle. He eyed it up on our way into class. When we were walking out after class he looked at the same puddle and then me. I simply asked, What does self-control mean? He sighed and said, I dont go in the puddle. That speaks volumes about her classes! Mrs. C uses many early childhood teaching strategies to keep the little ones focused. The children are thriving in her classes because of her patience and genuine excitement about what she is teaching.

My 5 year old is shy and never showed any interest in anything that we tried to get him involved in until we took him to Kinder Karate. He has been there 3 times and he absolutely loves it, and looks forward to going back every week! He loves the class and his instructors and we love that he is learning while having fun! My 4 year old has had issues with participating in other sports (soccer & t-ball) so I decided to try Kinder Karate for a change of pace. The best decision EVER! I LOVE Kinder Karate!We started off with karate because my daughter wanted to be a Power Ranger. She loves watching the Power Rangers, and I told her to be a Power Ranger she had to be in karate classes. She started begging daily, and I found Kinder Karate - I never looked back!From day one, she has come home excited and tired. As the mother of a four year old, I know a tired kid is a happy kid - and she sleeps so well after class. She works hard at practicing throughout the week and loves to show off her new skills.It’s been four weeks and my daughter is in love with Kinder Karate, her white belt, and the activity. She wants to tell everyone she sees about her karate class, and she has found a new activity to practice with her dad. I’m so proud of her, and I’m so glad we did the first trial class!If you aren’t sure, I say do the first class - you have nothing to lose!

I was struggling to find an activity that my 4 year old would enjoy. We tried dance, soccer and softball--nothing seemed to interest her until Kinder Karate. She begged to go back after the first class, and asks almost every morning if she has karate that day. Paul and Kara are very friendly, organized and give a lot of information--which I like. I would recommend giving Kinder Karate a try for anyone with a similar situation.

I wish I would have found Kinder Karate years ago! The program has had an amazing impact on both of my kids, ages 6 and 8. After just the first class, they were acting in a more respectful manner and are even more helpful around the house. Master C. does a fantastic job with the kids!! My son started Kinder Karate in Jefferson Hills a few weeks ago and he absolutely loves it! He is a very high energy 5 year old boy that sometimes tends to get into trouble at school. Kinder karate of Pittsburgh has been a great program for my son Caleb! He really gets excited to go to class every week! When hes there, my wife and I can see how strong his focus really is and how much he loves learning new things each week! We started sending our daughter (3 years old) to Kinder Karate about a month ago. She LOVES it! This is the first structured activity we have had her participate in, and Kinder Karate has been a great first for her. Mrs. C (the instructor) works so well with all the kids, and really gets on their level to help develop their skills and make sure they understand what they are supposed to be doing and how to do it. Sometimes it seems like she is herding cats with this younger-age class, but I have been pleasantly surprised to see how much my daughter retains from each class - she is now teaching us each move she is taught! But on top of the physical skills she is learning, she is learning respect for both the instructor and her classmates and basic discipline (to stand in line, listen to the instructor, speak nicely, follow directions, etc) measures.

My son Brayden is 6 years old and in kindergarten. He has finished two classes and really seems to like it. We are going to his third tomorrow and he is really excited about going. I have never seen him this excited about going to one of his extracurricular activities. So far, its great!

I was hesitant to take my 5 year old son, Duncan, to his first class at Kinder Karate simply because i wasnt exactly sure how he was going to do not having any experience in martial arts. WOW, was I surprised and impressed at how the instructors welcomed my son in and immediately got him in the mix with the other kids in his class. I absolutely love the Kinder Karate program! My 4 year old son is a little shy, and in only a few short weeks, I am noticing a difference in his behavior and confidence. We love Kinder Karate. We introduced our 3 year old son to karate because he pretends to be a ninja, but hits everything and everyone in sight. My 4 year old daughter is really having a great time in this class! I cant believe she learned to count in Korean and knows several words just from 6 classes already! This is a great class to help teach her focus and patience. Mrs. C is great and very good with the kids. We are excited to keep going with the class and see what else she can learn.

Our son took peewee taekwondo for nearly a year at another facility and didnt learn nearly as much as hes learned in three trial classes here! They break down the moves and give them names and review them in a way that a child can understand and remember. Our son is learning and is gaining confidence and that is priceless.

My 4-year old son has been taking Kinder Karate classes since the beginning of June 2016. Although he is already well-behaved, coordinated, and good at taking direction, he is really honing these skills, making new friends and thoroughly enjoying and looking forward this class every week. He enjoys practicing the new moves he learns and Im amazed at how much he remembers and retains from each class. This class is only 30 minutes long, and parents are encouraged to stay and watch! Kinder Karate is a great investment that we plan on continuing.

We have been taking our son Harley to Kinder Karate for two weeks now, and he just loves it. He just earned his white belt and is so proud. Harley actually repeats what he has learned in class while he is at home.

We were searching for a local karate class for my daughter after she tried a buddy class farther away. after positive reviews from friends it was easy to call and talk to Kara. She called back immediately and her communication when it comes to my daughter and her progress and upcoming events is excellent. Between facebook pages and emails you are always in the loop. The best part for us though is Kara, my daughter thought karate was for boys but wanted to do it anyways and we are so thankful to have found a great female karate instructor!

My son truly enjoys Mrs. C’s class! She is great with the children and always uses positive reenforcement when the kids tend to not give her their full attention during class which is something we love. She really knows how to work with them and we are looking forward to attending more classes. We highly recommend Kinder Karate if you are looking to enroll your child in karate!

My son just turned 3 2 months ago and is a very active boy who likes to test his limits as most 3 year old do. I love how patient Mrs. Czerniak is with him and how her directions are explicit in telling him what she needs him to do like you need to sit like this instead of just saying no, no, no. My son has a very hard time listening and following directions, but Kinder Karate takes the time to find a way to help him be successful. Ive signed my son up for a few other different activities as well, and hes always reluctant to go to them because he doesnt want to get yelled at but every Tuesday when I say its time for karate he gets excited to go and always says something about the nice teacher as he likes to call her.

My 3 year old daughter struggles with anxiety - being separated from mom, being around a new person or people, and being around boys or older kids. With Mrs. Czerniaks patience and guidance, after a few classes, my daughter felt secure and confident enough to go in the room without mom. She still takes a minute or two to go in, but once in the room, she enjoys the class and is VERY proud of herself when she leaves. We did have a setback one day, refusing to go in and missing nearly the whole class. Mrs. Czerniak kindly called within a couple days to discuss what happened and to make sure I knew what she was thinking and feeling about the situation. The discussion was extremely helpful and reassuring. The following week, my daughter barely hesitated to go in the room. She has also become more comfortable around boys. Im very pleased with the progress my daughter has made in a short period of time. Yes, she is learning karate, but even more importantly, shes learning skills necessary to be a confident, strong, and respectful person.

My 2 boys started Kinder Karate classes in Pleasant Hills about a month ago. They are 3 & 5 years old. It was hard to find a place that offered classes in the evening and also for 3 year olds. My sons both really like the classes and I like that they teach respect and discipline along with the karate. I would definitely recommend them to others.

Love what this program has to offer and think its extremely beneficial for my sons growth.

We have only been to 4 classes but my 6 year old daughter LOVES it!!!
