They were wonderful. They installed Gutter Helmet system and it looks great. I love that they place the Gutter Helmet system under the first part of the roofing shingles and then everything flows down from there, not like other systems that just cover the gutters. The two employees were so polite and wonderful to work with. I would definitely refer Gutter Helmet to anyone needing gutter coverage. The cost was wonderful compared to other companies that want to tear down your gutters and replace with their products. Again highly recommend to anyone needing gutter coverage. I had Gutter Helmet installed around my house in November 2020. My experience with the employees of Gutter Helmet by Harry Helmet – Pittsburgh, has been overall very positive. My sales rep was very direct, and gave a very decent price. My service follow-ups since then have also been timely.My low-rating is strictly due to a major product gap with the Gutter Helmet system, which is extreme ice jams and massive ice cycles all winter long. Throughout the winter, I had a solid 6in ice jam covering the gutters, and ice cycles which were several feet long that would form in a matter of hours. I had to break off the ice cycles every few hours, however, many still fell on our newly constructed deck and patio, in turn causing a small ice skating rink around the perimeter of our house. Perhaps even more of a concern were the ice cycles which formed over our doorways into the house. These were a massive inconvenience and safety concern, as anyone entering or exiting our house had to dodge falling ice every time the doors were opened. Luckily, we escaped the winter with no injuries 😊.When I filed this complaint with Gutter Helmet, they sent out a service technician (twice), who confirmed that the installation was done correctly, but this was just a common occurrence with the product. I also called my sales rep, who stated the same. The only “resolution” that I received was to install heat wire along the product, which would melt the ice faster. Needless to say this wasn’t a realistic solution, as it would cost several thousand more dollars on a sub-par product that is already overpriced.Again, this poor review is not a reflection of the employees of Gutter Helmet, but of the product itself. For a vast majority of customers, I’m sure this product works great. However, for others (apparently those with a specific pitch in the roof and poor winter-weather conditions), this product is a complete miss. While I’m grateful to not have to clean leaves out of the gutters anymore, I’ve replaced that nuisance with a much greater inconvenience managing these ice issues. Of course, Gutter Helmet would not take out the failed product, and offered me no options for installing the heat wires at no additional cost (or at least at a discount). If you are considering this product, be advised of this huge product gap for households that have to deal with winter weather conditions.

Gutter Helmet met all our expectations in service and quick response when bidding and installing our new purchase. I expect to get many years of service out of this quality product. Our sales person was truthful and honest and represented the company in a meaningful way through ethical and professional sales.

We had our gutters replaced by Gutter Helmet by Harry Helmet in early December. We did not have the guard or downspouts replaced. The sales representative at first was a bit too upfront that we needed the gutter guard, but after several long conversations, he did give us a good price on replacing the gutters.After two weeks, the gutters were replaced. However, after the first week with the new gutters, there was a major water jam in our gutter that caused significant ice build up within the gutter and onto the roof. The downspout was not clogged, and this was confirmed by one of their service reps during their visits.Updated 3/5: I previously rated Gutter Helmet a 2 due to the issues with their service department, mostly communication breakdowns on their end, but Gutter Helmet did make their way out here to resolve the issue. For the time being, the issue seems to have been resolved.

We had some work done on the house and that necessitated the addition of some new gutter that needed to be tied back in to the orginal gutter system that I had Gutter Helmet previously installed on. So I called them up, agent came out and took a look at what we had to do. Simple process and they got it taken care of with no trouble. I had to have them modify the existing system slightly because of my roof structure during a REALLY hard rain, sometimes at the bottom of the roof valley there would be some overshoot at peak rain load. I advised them of this, and they checked to make sure nothing was clogged (it wasnt, system was rejecting leaves like it should) so when they added the new part they change 2 panels to a new perforated style and revamped the existing deflector. Now under heavy rain there is zero overshoot. I could not be any more satisfied. Helmet heat although somewhat expensive if you do more than just the tip, works excellently.I would highly recommend Gutter Helmet to anyone who is tired of dealing with cluttered up gutters, as we have it now installed on our barn, our house and my fathers house as well. We have a mix of hemlock, white pine and various deciduous trees, and NOTHING makes it past the helmet!

I had Gutter Helmet installed which of course is a covering system for your gutters on the house or buildings.The installation was fine and years earlier had my home done with this system, found it to be reliable, so I now decided to have my garage done. I was really amazed at how much the product had gone up in price for material that looked exactly like it did several years ago. Could not visibly see any difference and unless the aluminum is something really special I cannot see any reason why it almost doubled in price. Even the contractor could not give me an explanation.The contractors however couldnt have been nicer and did a very nice neat job, gave me some tips on how to maintain this low-no maintenance system and were just really good reps of their company. I really like dealing with down to earth people that take pride in what they are doing and take that extra little step to make the service better. I only wish I could remember their names and I apologize for that as they are two excellent guys!

Positive experience from initial quote to actual work done. The process was made easy all the way through to payment. Would definitely recommend.

The sales person showed up on time to perform the walk around and estimate. He called when he was about 10 minutes away and showed up within 10 minutes. He did the presentation and worked out of the trunk of his car, he did not want to come in the house, keeping in line with social distancing, and wearing a mask.I was called three times leading up to the installation to keep me up to date on the timeline. I did not need to be present during the install, the workers did not need access to the house.When I got home from work, the install was complete, no damage or visual evidence that anyone had even been there beyond the new gutter helmet on the gutters. There was one small piece of scrap metal that I found while weeding my flowers the next evening... the only evidence that someone was there.We have had 2 strong rains since the install and have had no leaks.

Recently, I had Gutter Helmet installed on my home. On the day of the install, two trucks and a crew of six installers arrived. The crew worked diligently to install 240 feet of product. After the install, the crew cleaned up the areas around the house and walked me around to see the completed job. I must say, everything looks great (the color I chose blends nicely with my shingles). Its so nice to see those leaves roll off the roof rather than roll into my gutters. Thank you Gutter Helmet!- George

I had a new roof installed two weeks ago, still have roofing equipment in my front yard, which is killing my grass, even after calling numerous times. It took 6 days to remove dumpster, which they knocked out my gutter, and scratched the side of my house, which my boyfriend had to fix. I’m still finding nails, and shingle pieces around the house. Had questions during install, but couldn’t ask, because no one that was here spoke English, and I never saw “project manager”. I chose this company mainly for the finance option, and what seemed to be good reviews. For how much they price gauge you, you would at least expect good service. The representatives on the phone have all been super nice, and professional, but it doesn’t mean anything when all they do is tell you things will be taken care of, then nothing comes to fruition. Couldn’t be more displeased with this company.**EDIT** within several hours of posting this review, I had the project manager, and roofing operation manager show up at my house personally to take care of my concerns, and remove the equipment. It seemed to be a lot of communication issues causing the problems. They were both polite, and helpful. They answered all my questions, took care of everything, and gave me their direct numbers. As displeased as I was, I am extremely grateful, and appreciative that they came out to make things right.

The salesman was knowledgeable and thorough. The installation crew came at the prescribed time and worked on one of the coldest days of the year, cleared the gutters of debris and ice and completed the job with a smile. Id recommend them to all my friends.

The previous owner of my home installed Gutter Helmet. Weve been very satisfied with it in the 6 years weve lived in the house. We experienced significant hail damage in the storms that passed through in May. I filed an insurance claim which approves replacement of the Gutter Helmet. I reached out to Gutter Helmet directly regarding the damage to protect the warranty. In my call, I learned they also do roofing. I agreed to have them come out to look at the roof and Gutter Helmet even though I was already narrowing my choice of a roofer. I received a two sentence quote in an email that isnt sufficient for insurance purposes. I asked to receive a detailed quote but the sales rep has not responded. I reached out to the warranty department thinking maybe they would be of more assistance but no response there. Its tremendously disappointing that a company that advertises as much as they do isnt really interested work. Guess Ill see how responsive their competitors are.Follow Up: I promptly received two phone calls after my post. One from the Sales Manager, one from the warranty department. I promptly received a detailed quote on roof with two price options. The warranty department sent a person to the house to look at the Gutter Helmet the same day. The gentleman that came to the house also provided a quote for the Gutter Helmet replacement before he left.

We purchased a sunesta awning from gutter helmet. awning worked fine, except for an issue of tilting from rain which was not their fault, but the person they sent twice, didnt know anything about awnings and didnt fix the problem. I had left remote out for him and it disappeared. when i called, they informed me they no longer serviced the awnings, did not care about the fact that problem wasnt fixed or remote was gone. so i purchased a new remote from another company that services the awning, and it wont connect so now i am faced with a 250$ service call and possible new motor which it never needed.gutter helmet should never have sold awnings because they have not stood by anything. this is not a manufacturer problem. its a service problem and they just dont care.i wouldnt buy ANYTHING from them.Addendum:after this post the owner called and listened and was unaware of the issue, knew just what to do and sent someone.out right away who completely fixed the tilting issue and remote issue. the man who came was knowledgeable and competent. it was handled how it should have been handled in the first place.so if they teach the people who answer the phone to listen, be nice and actually direct concerns to him then i would definitely use them again.as soon as he knew about the problem he handled it.

I just had a young man (Nate S.) from Gutter Helmet finish servicing my elderly parents home. He arrived on time and was very professional explaining what needed to be done and completed the service. You might not think this was a big deal. However compared to the Quality Control Inspector who showed up previous to this visit to service the gutters, it was. During the last visit, the Quality Control Inspector didnt want to do anything to correct the issue. When in fact, there was an issue from the original installation. Nate was quick in his assessment and corrected the issue. Im not usually one to take the time to highlight service calls good or bad, but I thought this young mans efforts needs to be mentioned. Hopefully, Gutter Helmet will hire more just like him. Great job Nate!

I recently had gutter helmet installed and it looks great. The installation was completed one month before the time period I was given as an estimate for when the job would be completed. The installers were very professional and completed the job on time. I will be recommending gutter helmet to all of my friends and family.

We have had the Gutter Helmet for around 15 years. We never realized that because of pollen, they had to be power washed. We started to have water come into our basement and noticed that the gutters seemed to be over flowing. We called Gutter Helmet to come out and find out what the problem was. The inspector came out and said we need the gutters to be power washed and the rear gutter needed to be replaced. This was where the problem began. I am not sure what happened, but we went for almost 3 months before the job was done. Once it was completed, it only took part of a day, we were completely satisfied. The made everything right with us and we would recommend them to anyone. They have integrity.

The vendors rep had explained the product very thoroughly, which then convinced us to purchase the Gutter Helmet product instead of another one. The installers arrived in a timely manner and completed the installation quickly and efficiently. The color of the product that was chosen blends very well with our roof and gutters. We are pleased. We have had several days of rain since the installation and the Gutter Helmet appears to working very well. The whole process has been pleasant and we are very satisfied with the product so far. Only time will tell come next fall when we get an abundance of leavers, but we feel confident that this product was the best choice.

I had Gutter Helmet gutter system and it was time for a new roof. They cold called me with a 25% off deal.. It was reasonably priced and the works were very dedicated. They completed my roof in 1 day and did a great job cleaning up. Then the Gutter Helmut installs came and reinstalled the gutter helmet in 2 days. all in all it was a great experience.

Product seems great, although we have only had it one week. The installation team was excellent. They answered all my questions. I liked that I didnt have to write out a check and hand it to the crew - but instead Gutter Helmet sent me an invoice which I was able to pay with a credit card.Weve been through the first deluge of maple seeds which always jammed up my gutters. This year - NO PROBLEM! And my neighbors are now asking about our Gutter Helmet.

Met the Gutter Helmet folks at the Home Show and got an estimate from a neighbor, Tim. Tim did a great job in explaining where we needed to install and areas that we could wait on. Installation was fast. The gutter helmets have held up to the rain and debris. Im very pleased with the product and service.

Experience was good. Very professional. Expensive product but hopefully you get what you pay for. Gutter Helmet was installed after all the leaves and pine needles were already down. Will look forward to see how they work once they have had a challenge as one garage is under several huge pine trees.

Got beautiful awning installed 090817. Automatic rain and wind sensor does not function. Called for service and am still waiting. Also installer did not finish ties for cords because he ran out and I had to call 3 times to beg to get somebody out to finish it. Beautiful product but not so great on service.

Our original gutter helmet was installed in 2005. We just had it replaced this year due to a hail storm. We have never had any problems with our gutters and the system kept my husband off the roof. Our experience with customer service and/or crew has always been pleasant. I personally tell people all the time I would not own anything but gutter helmet.

Staff was very professional and knowledgeable. After all of the leaves have fallen, none are sitting on my gutter! The gutter guard looks natural on my roof. Overshoot was observed after the first rain but went away after the first month as the technical bulletin noted. I cant comment on ice build-up yet but if I were to provide any constructive feedback it would be that the cost is a little on the pricey side.

We had all of our gutters replaced last year and a heater put in this season in the one on the front of our townhouse. Both times the entire process was efficient and done in a timely manner. No need to clean gutters this year! I hope the heater helps with the icicle problem this winter.

Not.there called them said.he said getting his driver license picture taken waited until 1130 still not there. Called again he was getting gas. Finally arrived and ripped the awning during install. Have to wa8t until monday he said i have to get repaired awning sunesta will not give me a new awning. It has been a constant problem; the front gutter is still pouring rain from behind the gutter and is ruining the wood on my house. I am asking one final time for this to be fixed. I have put off having the house painted for the last time because this gutter has leaked. One of your people blamed the pine trees in my front yard, I had two large ones removed last fall but the leaking gutter continues to be a problem. Please respond and fix this problem.

Just saw one of the Harry helmet trucks on Scott ave in shaler make a dangerous u-turn on the semi-busy street and almost cause an accident with a white SUV. As I started to see him make the questionable u-turn, I said to myself “what is this guy thinking!?” Then what do you know....5 seconds later there was a near collision.
