We had an entire roof replaced, as well as the gutters re-lined and a skylight installed. Very happy with the finished result. They cleaned up well when they were done, too.

I contacted Shook Roofing recently for a leaking roof near the chimney of my house. Mr. Shook came out the same day I contacted him, inspected the roof and showed me pictures of where the chimney and cap needed to be repaired. He provided me a written job order, indicating step-by-step how the repair would be done as well as when he would be available. I was very happy when Mr. Shook called me a few days later indicating he could do the job earlier. I called Shook roofing because I had a leak in my 2nd story ceiling. I had called numerous other roofers with varying results: no shows, no answers, etc. Joe returned my call and came out the very next day, right when he said he’d be here. He was thorough in explaining what he thought the issue was and how he would fix it. He said he’d send me over the statement later that day and he did. He said he was finishing up another job and would call in the next few days to schedule mine and he did. True to his word he showed up on time and did exactly what he said. Joe Shook has been my go to roofer for several years now. I love the fact that I can trust him implicitly. I have found over the years that:Joe is extremely professional;keeps in touch once you contact him;lets you know when he can put your roof on his list of current responsibilities;comes when he says hell come;takes pictures showing you exactly what the problem is with your roof;writes a proposal telling you what hes going to do;how much the repair will cost and how long it will take;frequently takes pictures afterwards to show you what he did;tells you exactly what materials he used and why he used them;and cleans up after himself.If the problem recurs, he comes back. All this and hes pleasant to deal with too. Getting a roof fixed is risky, a roofer can tell you anything and you have no way to verify the problem, the fix, or the price. Joe Shook repaired my leak on the roof. He guaranteed the labor and the product for 5 to 10 years. The roof leaked at the exact spot within 2 years. Joe was notified and did not return my phone calls. When I finally reached him he refused to honor the written agreement.Would never recommend him. The roofer who did repair the leak stated Joe used the wrong products and I may now need a new roof!

Joe was prompt and fixed the problem on my roof, All I knew is that the Shook name has been around Pittsburgh for a long time in the roofing business. He was prompt, and apparently made a good repair. the leak has stopped.
