Everything looks nice the pool the apartments and the townhomes at first. But later on when your living here many problems come up. One time I was away and they had to do maintenance when I came back on I heard that 2 people were in the house one doing the maintenance and one taking pictures? I thought that was a little strange since we didn’t give consent to pictures only maintenance. And while me and my family were away for vacation we got back with 2 notes on our door. One saying a problem and the other explaining all our problems we had. 1 being poor house care which I understand once we have boxes laying everywhere but that shouldn’t be a problem. The next was saying that we had 1 kid listed but had 2 in our home. But that was since our oldest went to college. The next one was we couldn’t have reptiles in the building which was weird. And the last was we had something wrong with the bathroom which we had nothing at all. I do not recommend living here for more then a year.

We’re pleased with the Staff, and both the interior & scenic exterior spa/resort-like country setting at Nineteen North, (inside & out.) The maintenance crew has been responsive & courteous to us at all times for minor things such as a drawer, some trim paint and minor items. Bryant, the Maintenance Supervisor has been a pleasure to speak with and also responsive. Our 19N neighborhood is peaceful, quiet and respectful. All-in-all it’s been a great place to live and relax. Thank you!

I was a resident at this location for almost 4 years. When I first moved in, it was great. The management was responsive to problems and accommodating. At some point the person in the office changed and the new person there was the total opposite of Danielle. We had, according to the lease, until the 5th of every month to pay the rent. When the rent was not in on the first, we had a notice to pay or vacate on the door. They tore out all of the greenery and cut down trees, so it looks less like a country residential setting and more like a institutional setting. It is not homey anymore. The walls are paper thin so you can hear everything...EVERYTHING. Footsteps, voices, music...all of it. They do not care to adhere or hold people accountable to quiet hours and will tell you the only thing they can do is post a notice on problem neighbors doors, which they did not even do half the time. They have been letting anyone and everyone move in there, so as a result, the drug dealing activity has more than tripled. It got to the point that even calling the police had no effect. The office informed us that there was nothing they could do about the drug activity, even though they have a duty to keep residents safe. They also made moving out extremely difficult and were very rude. We paid our final bill, but in what appears to be a petty effort, they have taken their time in cashing the check and turned us into creditors, intentionally trying to harm our credit.Washers and dryers were broken for months, there is constantly garbage and dog poop in the area, I came home one night to a full bottle of urine laying in the parking lot, the garbage is not regularly picked up, despite them charging you for it. They will find any way to charge you for any little bit of thing they can. This place has lofty ideas and likes to think itself a high-end residential community, but it is anything but. If you like to pay exorbitant rental rates yet need to have the McCandless police do ride throughs nightly, then by all means, move here. If you like to not get any sleep, smell weed all day, walk past drug deals in your entry way, not have access to the amenities they tout, then by all means move in here. If, on the other hand, you have more than one working brain cell, then avoid this place like the plague.I moved out because it went from a really nice place to live, to a total dump. It just goes to show you how one person can mismanage something so badly. I have never been more happy to be done with a place than we have been to be done here. Again, stay away. It is not worth the hassle.

They claimed to have all these amenities and amazing features with their apartments but in reality it was all smoke in mirrors. On all their websites and brochures they hard sold having this amazing pool but when we moved in they said the pool frame had a crack in it and the cost was too high to repair. So not only did they blatantly lie about that they didnt even care enough to fix it and make it right. On top of that they allowed the sketchiest people to live their. Multiple times in my stay at 19 north (lived there for 9 months) I had police offers and even FBI agents (yes real FBI agents) knock on my door asking questions about a neighbor or if we saw a suspect in the area. There was an actual kidnapping in the apartment above mine and when the reports came out I went to the office because my fiance was scared to be walking our dog late at night alone after that incident. When I went to the office asking what their plan to increase security for all tenants they gave me a nonsense answer with false promises. Nothing changed and security was not increased. Youd think with this many incidents at one place management would perform background checks with their future tenants. Dont move in hear if you have other options, ridiculously over priced and they keep increasing the prices. They used to include some utilities in our rent but as we got ready to move out they changed that and all tenants are responsible for all utilities. This place is a sham plain and simple.

I recently moved into a townhouse at the Nineteen North location after selling my house and could not be happier!! Keith was my leasing agent and he was incredible. He was knowledgeable about the amenities, explained that they are working on fixing the pool and hopes it should be operational again this summer. Having been to this location back when it was still The Oaks I can say that Morgan Communities has done a phenomenal job renovating this location!! My unit has hardwood floors, stainless steel appliances, fresh carpeting in the bedrooms and a washer/dryer in my unit!! For the price, this location is the best you are going to find in the north hills.

Dont live here!! Extremely cheap updates in the townhomes. Overpriced!! Walls are paper thin and can hear neighbors talk through the walls. So many issues since moving in, it was always a quick, cheap bandaid and never fixed. There were also mice issues since the first day, which were also never resolved after calling the office numerous times. We left after the lease ended. Office manager wasnt nice, she was rude and condescending.

The experience that I had at Nineteen North has been nothing but terrible. Its extremely over priced for what little you receive. The walls and floors are so thin you can hear literally everything. My water stopped working in the apartment around 7pm and I called the emergency maintence line and an incredibly rude candy answered the phone and stated that not having water isnt considered an emergency (?!!???!!!!!!) and no one would be able to help me until the next business day. The 2 washer and dryers provided for the whole building are always full, that is if they are actually working and are so out of date they still require quarters. Their gym consists of about 3 machines and (even better) only opened office hours!!! Super beneficial for all of your working residents :) along with no pool. after approximately 5 months of trying to get logged into the website to pay our rent and gas bill. The property managers have done nothing to help us like they said the would. They just want you out of the office and out of their hair. I cannot wait to move as soon as my lease is done and trust me, there will be no looking back. Do yourself, and your wallet, a favor by not renting here. I wouldnt live here again even if they paid me too.

My experience at Nineteen North Apartments has been nothing but terrible. Its extremely over priced for what little you receive. The “High End” fixtures they advertise are cheap and break all the time. The entrances to the apartments smell of animal urine and always have unwanted mail laying around not to mention they haven’t been updated since the early 90’s. The walls and floors are so thin you can hear literally everything. Nobody has privacy, and you’re always receiving noise complaints or having your neighbors bang on the walls or floors. My bathroom faucet leaked for over a week and 1/2, even though maintenance knew about the problem I called twice before I had to make an emergency call on a Sunday because my water was pouring out full force from the faucet even know the water was turned off from the main source. The neglect is awful and the quick fixes are not worth it. The office never contacted me about the problem or the fact that I was charged for the water I wasn’t using due to their incompetence. The amenities are very far from high end apartment amenities. There are only 2 washer and dryers that are very out of date and still require quarters to run which is an inconvenience. They’re always full, and never run properly. Parking at night is non existent which is always a hassle but you can never complain about the problem because your neighbors will take it out on you. You have chain smokers out side of the pool all of the time. The gym is literally a broken treadmill and some exercise balls, it’s a joke. So what does all this money Go that we pay?? No parking, No Gym, No privacy, overpriced apartment!!Over all this is somewhere I would Never live again, so save your money and time and keep looking. This place is a rip off!!!

DO NOT LIVE AT THIS APARTMENT COMPLEX! I didn’t have too many issues while I lived there, it was definitely overpriced, walls were thin, maintenance could be hard to get ahold of. The real problems arose after moving out, when I have had the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I work in a customer facing job so I am usually pretty lenient and understanding when it comes to such issues, but this has pushed me over the edge. I was forced to pay a full months rent even though my lease was through the middle of August, and was promised a pro-rated check back for the rest of the month. I just received the check in the mail TODAY, almost exactly 3 months after I moved out, and the check was, to my knowledge, the blatant wrong amount because I received absolutely NOTHING stating any deductions for damages or anything being taken out of that. The lack of care they have for people who no longer live with then is disgusting, and the lack of communication they have with residents and past residents will make you want to rip your hair out, along with just the downright lack of professionalism. Save yourself the hassle and find somewhere else, anywhere else, to live.

Though the new management is great and the updating of the old looking structures makes it more visually attractive, the invitation of having dogs on the ground is awful. For those of us without pets, its difficult to have a peaceful existance when someone next doors door barks and howls all day long while they are gone. Ive also seen several people with dogs walking their dogs without carrying a bag to clean up their mess with. I think its brought about a downturn to the experience. Technically, it should be split up - people with dogs in one section, people with cats in another and people who choose not to own a pet together. It would just make more sense and give neighbors peace of mind.

Do NOT move here!!!!!!!!This place was actually very nice to live at at one time until Morgan Communities took over. They took away the pool for no good reason. It just sets up there empty. Started allowing dogs so they can make more rent. You hear barking all the time day and night. Did I say watch your step if you walk in the grass? Complain lol .... they do nothing about it ..... so watch were your stepping!!!! They charge you for EVERYTHING they can think of to get your money!!!! Yes, storage too!!!! Walls are paper thin and so are the floors. Just do yourself a HUGE favor and PASS on this one. Dont say I didnt warn you!!!!

This apartment has a lot of mice.It is also really expensive for what it is.And the light fixture caught on fire cause it was to old.The windows are leaky. The kitchen is way too small and everything breaks a lot. There are some dogs that just run around and poop anywhere,so when I was walking over to a friends house I stepped in dog poop.

The three stars are for location, the inside of the apartments, and the workers. All excellent. I do disagree with some of the reviews. They do background checks on everyone. Its not their fault if someone has a clean background but is a sketchy person. They cant discriminate if someone passes a background check. Youre going to have your fair share of strange people at any apartment complex. Also- as for the floors being thin, its apartment living. You have to expect to hear noise from your neighbors if you live in an apartment. Im on the top floor and two men recently moved in below me. They are SO loud. But I signed up for that with apartment living and there is little the leasing office can do about that. I did smell smoke from them and they sent maintenance men in to close off a cubby hole in my bedroom. Although I still smell smoke in the kitchen and through some of the vents, its not as bad. Anyway...When I first moved here, I loved the price. I got my renovated one bedroom apartment for about 860.00 a month since I got one month free. This was reasonable and an amazing price considering the curb appeal of the apartments is not the best, no pool, and no fitness center. The renovated apartments are very nice. I have no complaints about the inside of my apartment. I love it. The maintenance men have also done a lot for me. Anytime I have a problem, they are on top of it. I have NO complaints about any of the people who work here. They are all great. The problem is they have raised their prices. Not only did they raise their prices, but we now have to pay water, sewer, and trash on our own. These apartments are not worth any more than 900 a month for a one bedroom. I moved here from The Club because they were charging that much there but at least they have a nice pool, clubhouse, and fitness center. If Morgan Communities wanted to price these apartments reasonably, I would stay. But I cant justify paying almost 1000 plus all utilities for what we get here. The price does not match what you get. I understand it is a great location but you have to look at other aspects. I have a feeling a lot of people will be moving out after receiving the letters of the rent increase and utility changes. Unfortunately I will be moving yet again when my lease is up in June.

This complex has turned into a construction zone. I used to have a nice peaceful place to live. Now I have noise, dirt and endless trucks each day of the week. I also used to have a swimming pool but that was closed. The new owners have raised the rents by at least $250 because they have said they have upgraded the units and are now calling them luxury apartments. Not quite.

Things that should be fixed promptly and correctly are not. Upgrades and remodels seem to have been done by the lowest bidder. Many workers are from out of state as well.

All of the negative comments in these reviews is the absolute TRUTH!! I lived here for 6 years and was very satisfied with the service until it was bought by Morgan Management during the last year that I lived there. My toilet backed up several times and when someone finally came to fix it, they had to pull up the flooring because of the water damage (subfloor now exposed), said they would be back the following day to lay down a new floor and never came back. I had to call the office several times and finally after almost a month someone came to put the new floor down. I came home from work that evening and found they had disconnected the toilet and left it sitting in my bathtub!!!! Everything about this place is sloppy.

I signed a lease with 19 North about 2 months ago for townhouse 115, move in on 8/1. Four days prior to move in, after ALL plans were solidified for move out and cleaning of my current condo, utilities scheduled for turn on, mail switched over, etc., I get a call that this townhouse will NOT be ready for move in on 8/1. A different townhouse is available for move in on 8/1 but not the townhouse I signed a lease for and got my utilities/mail transferred to. I asked to speak to the property manager/owner about this issue and have yet to receive a call back. The lack of care and professionalism is astonishing. If I end up spending a cent of my money on this Morgan Communities plan, its because I have no other option. Im forced to either move into a unit that Ive never seen/didnt sign the lease for, or find a new place in three days. Truly dissapointing that a business is run this way.

I miss the old management. The new management is updating everything which is great in theory, but the workmanship is shoddy at best. There has been three separate instances where someone has come to fix our door, but after 4 months, it still has a gap in it and now there are more bugs getting in since it is colder. Ive called, but nothing happens. Two months into the new management taking over, my husband and I have started looking for another place to live. The updates will cause rent to raise, even if the updates are not in the apartment/townhouse you live in. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Ignore the positive review from 5 years ago. That was under the old management, not the current one.

This place under the new management has treated the existing residence very unfairly. We get notice for an entire week that we have to look up our cats to examine the place are replace a front door and then dont show up and we have to do in a second week. We were told we had to remove our grill and bike shed from the porch, but refused to give us any way to keep our bikes out of the weather. I have lived here for 7 years and this has never been a problem before. We now have a draft in our downstairs because the new front door was not installed properly. The plumbing has not been great since we moved in but getting someone to fix look at anything until my upstairs toilet backed up (Not cloged) and over flowed to the point the water was coming through the floor and downstairs ceiling. I would never recommend this place to anyone. If I could give the new management 0 stars I would.
