These are very nice homes...however, they are right next to the rail road tracks. The leasing process is the most retarded thing Ive ever been through. We already gave our notice to our current apartments and have been waiting for our final approval which has taken over two weeks and now that we are ready to move out and have no other place to go they tell us we can move in until two months from now! The women in the office act like every day is their first day on the job, and apparently no one in the office knows how to answer a god damn phone!!! There is no waiting list and when someone says they will call you back, they are lying through their teeth. I am irate and would love to doll out some legal recourse but my lack of finances prevents me from doing so. Look elsewhere! This place is the worst kind of bulls**t. The incompetent, rude, lying, time wasting kind! This is the worst day my family has had in months, look elsewhere. Yours truly,a very angry husband.

If I could give this place a zero, I would. Moved here two years ago, pay full price and not on housing assistance. I pay too much to live In this dump. Two weeks after I moved in, we had roaches. I am a clean living neat person, I was DISGUSTED. Homeless people dig through our trash. My water heater breaks on and off, called maintenance several times about it, they come out and reset the breaker. That’s it. It took 20+ calls to the office to get someone to come replace the heater element, and it still breaks. Now, the neighbors right across from us are drug dealers. People are coming at odd times of the night and they got raided by the police right before Christmas. Swat team and everything. Eventually were released and are right back to dealing again. Kids don’t even want to go outside anymore because of them. Last night on NYE, they were shooting their guns into the air, maybe 10-20 rounds. Unbelievably dangerous and stupid. If you love roaches, no hot water, terrible maintenance, criminals, homeless people, and being scared every time you come home, this place is for you!

For the price, I liked this complex. However, if I had paid more in rent I would have been unhappy. Below are my pros and cons.Pros:Quiet, I never heard my neighborsPrivate entryNewer central air systemNewer appliances (plus W/D in every complex)Nice carpetingPlenty of parkingClose to DTPNice looking buildings, I like the way the buildings are set up to only have 4 in a building, made it feel more privateLow rentCons:Staff is terribly unorganized and unhelpful. When I first moved in it took almost a month to get a working mail key despite often calls/emails into the office. Though that was the longest I waited for anything, I had similar experiences with every issue I had to bring up to the office EXCEPT the time my AC broke (they fixed it immediately). The train!! I suppose it would depend where in the complex you are, but I lived next to the tracks and I worked from home and that train has the loudest horn Ive ever heard. It would blast its way through anywhere from 8am to noon every week day, including holidays.Pool had no furniture. Was told when I moved in that they were ordering new furniture but I lived there a year and never saw anything.Pool was also dirty. I only swam in it once, and never went back.Homeless people are around, I went out to take out my garbage once and found someone dumpster diving. I never ran into a rude or invasive one, though.Though its a neighborhood of hard working people, there was the occasional unsavory character. The surrounding area is poor-er, as well. All in all would live there again, if I wanted to live in the DTP area. Again, you kind of get what you pay for.

I moved here with my mom and our apartment was infested with roaches when we first moved in, our lease is almost up and we still have roaches. My mom has tried everything and the roaches are still there. The office staff is horrible they never answer the phone and if they do they hang up on people. They have and exterminator that comes out every Tuesday but he doesn’t even spray he comes in with this little thing he sprays for like 10 seconds and then he leaves. The kids break glass in the back where the covered parking is. I don’t not recommend anyone moving here it’s is horrible. I repeat don’t move her. Don’t fall for there little gimmick it looks nice but as soon as you move in the roaches will come.

Worst apartment complex i have ever seen. If I could give a no star for this property rating I would. If you move here expect a long wait period (3-4 weeks) for maintenance and when they finally do show up, they will tell you that they have to get a specialist to do it. Their dumpsters are really disgusting, they are always overflowing and make the complex look poorly un-kept. The grounds are always trashed like the maintenance does not care what the property looks like. The pool has a sign that states that the gate will automatically lock after 8pm. Nowhere does it say that the pool will be closed early on Saturdays or all day Sunday, which is when most people would like to use the pool. But you are free to use the gym everyday of the week which a lot of people go and break equipment that you will also have to wait for a long period of time to be fixed. The only time that they care about their property and tenants is when there is and investor coming to inspect units.

I have lived at Henson Village for almost two years now. My finacee and I love it. All the apartments come with a washer and dryer inside. Which saves time and money instead going to a local laundrymat. Also, the air conditioning works very well in the summer. The pool is kept clean and the people in my section are very nice. Some of the bad things are if your late paying your rent you pay an extra 30 dollars every 5 days after the fifth of the month plus 12 dollars for the mailman to deliver the notice. So make you pay your rent on time. Also, the landscapers start working at 7 everyday. If your work nights you might be sol.

Roaches,Roaches, and more Roaches. I had never seen the place before I moved in they showed me a sample apartment that didnt have Roaches. Then when I moved in, months later to the apartment I put my money down on I all see is Roaches everywhere. I all ready gave notice and had pack my truck. I did do the walk thru it was like two dead Roaches she like we bombed Im o.k. thinking that ok theyre dead its only two. I leave come back my things that night and they were everywhere. In the Fridge, the Stove, the Dishwasher, the Washer and Dryer. So they had to come back out and bomb and the Roaches are Stil here. Ive called and went down to office and now I have find a lawyer to take my case to get out of my lease. I know the rent prices look cheap and the outside look beautiful but the Roaches dont.

RUN AWAY and dont look back!We read the reviews prior, but were in a bind and blinded by how nice the apartment was.Looks nice against surrounding area, but employees are rude and incompetent (good luck calling our finding them when the office is supposed to be open). We always tried to get copies of when we paid our rent after hearing about them losing other peoples checks and then sending them court summons. It took them 5 months to finally replace our fridge - and I couldnt even use none of the bins or bottom half since I had to place towels there and change them daily. We had a light that would only run for awhile then shut off - we asked them to fix it several times and they just changed the bulb and then put caulking around it! We just stopped using it altogether because we were worried it was some wiring issue and would catch fire. Having a washer/dryer is nice, but with the way its hooked up it constantly smells like sewer when you open the closet. There is a CONSTANT flow of mattresses in the dumpsters, which I guess is from bed bugs (thankfully we never got them). They know and are okay with people letting their dogs use balconies as bathrooms and not cleaning up (mentioned in the office because I kept having to have the pest control come because of our neighbor and the lady at the desk right away knew which place). We tried to pass out candy on Halloween but had to pack it up because the swarm of flies! Lots of people leaving their dogs outside even in the hottest of weather all day with non-stop barking. You have large groups of people yelling/fighting at 3 in the morning - and even kids outside screeching until 1 am. Lots of people sit outside on balconies and blast music well past 11pm. Dogs pooping on sidewalks and owners dont clean up, homeless people daily going through dumpsters - and oh yeah - all the gunshots. During the winter we had gunshots at least once a week. We lived on the 2nd floor, and we bought a 2x4 to prop between the door and the stairs because all you have on the door is one bolt.We lived there almost a year and thought we escaped when our lease ended last month. Weve got a bill for over $300 for nail holes at $10 each (we were told by William that they were covered under normal wear-and-tear) and a days worth of rent. When we did our last walk through before turning in keys five days before our lease was up, nothing was said. When I got the letter I called 11 times and a few emails before I was even able to talk to someone (seriously, good luck ever trying to get through - its also useless to leave messages since they never call you back) and got to talk to Holly Lewis. I was told that we didnt vacate until the 1st (we were already gone the week before we did the last walkthrough since we got our house a month before and just wanted to get the hell out of there). I told her that was incorrect since we did it on the 26th - Well our system says the 1st. When asked who entered it into the system, she did. I got the number for the head boss, but the inbox is full, so I sent an email - fingers crossed. We were actually due to have them give us money back, part of me thinks they did this just so they dont have to pay us.Yes, this place looks nice on the outside but beware. Dont ignore the reviews like we did!***Update***After emailing the head boss, Ms. Van Den Einde(at least, I think she is - its who Ms. Lewis told me to contact), I received an automatic reply saying she was busy and to contact another person. I did, and never got a reply. I continued to try to call Ms. Van Den Einde, yet always got a full voicemail box. Today I received a call because the charges are now in collection, I guess I will be contacting a lawyer.
