Well this used to be a five-star place but you can tell its slowly going downhill. They dont really have much quality products anymore unfortunately and they dont have much of a stock. Although they do have an awful lot of KN95 and other types of masks, also a lot of hand sanitizer which is great if youre looking for any. They also have kids size masks which are great if you have kids of course. Hopefully they can start maybe stocking groceries in the store or something else and kind of make it a multiple type facility. I dont know how their grocery stores are doing but Im hoping they are doing better. Frys electronics used to have everything you could possibly imagine when it came to audio video and computer electronics it was a great place to go.
I dont know what happened here. This place used to be my favorite place. Now the shelves are empty, I couldnt get help finding what I needed despite asking 3 different people, the selection is limited and the prices arent all that good. The ambiance is still pleasant, and the decor is cool. But I just dont get it. What happened to my store?
My Son an I have loved Frys Electronics for years. We build our own computers from scratch and are both technophiles. It has been a wonderful place for Father/Son outings to shop and see all the latest and greatest electronics gear. Now, we dont recognize the place. Almost none of the stock formerly carried and empty shelves everywhere. It looks more like a thrift shop than an electronics warehouse store. We are rooting for Frys to find their way and settle on a business model where we will love to shop again. Please?
Ive been a fan of Frys Electronics for awhile, and my Dad is currently interested in getting a new desktop, so I decided to visit the local store with him(I live in Dallas, so this was my first time at this location). Its really just like any other Frys, but this one has some weird, Aztec temple thing going on with its aesthetics. The hardware department employees are very savvy and help you find exactly what you need. However, the computer sales department are those who know very little about the product theyre selling, and they just want to get commission on selling overpriced machines. Nevertheless, a trip to Frys is always a good time for me. Their PC gaming accessories are vast in selection. Would recommend.
The facility is GREAT! Im new in the area and had heard about Frys. I had to check it out. They have a ome really great deals and great products. The selection is amazing, and the amount of inventory is welcomed! Though, they seem a bit understaffed, and Im not yet familiar with the layout, Im sure I will be soon ! Ill be back!
I went a couple years back, and this place was booming. Video games, computer accessories, audio, anything electronic you needed, they had. Now the shelves are barely stocked with useful items. They have a lot of odd things like garden hoses, skateboards, dusty things from the 1990s, and random shelf fillers that made shopping more annoying than anything. Computer parts are slim if existent at all. The video game section is just wall paper and logos, hardly any product. I took a couple friends there that had never been, for a shopping experience in an electronic super store, and couldve had better luck at best buy getting what we needed. The staff was very helpful, and very friendly, and could answer any question we had, but unfortunately the store is just a decrepit skeleton of what it used to be. I hope it returns to what it used to be, but we will see.
Updated review-I used to love Frys for so many reasons. Its clear that theyre going out of business, yet lie to their staff and customers. It has been bad for at least a solid year. Ive traveled to stores in AZ, CA and NV. Every store is a ghost town. They dont have stock. Even the back stock is completely empty. I dont understand why theyre still constantly emailing me ads, when they clearly cant honor them. Youll see rows of spread out cases of water or a sea of Frys gift bags. They are desperately attempting to look as though theres some stock, but spread thin weird items to try to fill shelves. I used to be hopeful that Frys was just going through a rough patch and would recover, but Im convinced that theres no coming back from this. Its sad. Frys was an amazing place for electronics. At this point, its sadly pointless to go there, unless youre in the market for some knockoff perfume or gardening items. Its bizarre and depressing.Old review-Absolutely LOVE Frys Electronics! The staff is typically kind and helpful. The prices rock, and the Frys off of the I-17 is nice and cool in the sweltering AZ summer! I highly recommend Frys for all of your nerding out needs! In fact, they even have a lot of items that arent related to computers or gaming. They have dvds, appliances, kitchen products, vacuums, an as seen on TV section and much, much more! Im at this store weekly! I just wish theyd build a store on the west side
This looks like a store on its last leg. Drove 30 minutes to get a monitor and a new hard drive and the shelves are bare. Don’t waste your time. I have been coming here for many many years and have never seen it like this. The employees don’t have any idea what’s going on either. The website says they are not ordering new inventory. Buy buy fry’s.
Barely any staff since covid. That is a bad thing. This store is to huge and confusing. I asked for an item and instead of the staff person walking me to the item, they told me where it was and I completely got lost because of how many isles there are. This place used to be great. Not such anymore. They literally have nothing you need in stock. On top of everything. 1 register open.
I used to love going to Frys. Like a kid in a candy store, it tickeled the tech dork inside of me just to pull into the lot. But today was not that day, and a little piece of me died that I will never recover. I pulled into an almost barren lot happy to have so many parking choices just to be crushed upon entering the store. All, not a few, but ALL of the shelves are almost completely empty. There is no stock and no display items. It was truely as sad, sad day. After waiting for so long with great anticipation my first trip to a Frys in Arizona it was a complete let down. I felt like I showed up after a going out of business sale. RIP Frys
I used to love going here. Now its eerie. A few days before Christmas and less than 30 cars in the parking lot. Lots of empty shelves. For example, the home appliances and diy computer areas are gone. I still found what I was looking for (a computer keyboard and some cables) but the pickings are slim. Only one cashier and there wasnt a line. I hope they can weather this economic downturn.
Went there to buy some flux core solder and some solder wick. Common items that anyone with a hobby in electronics would need. They didn’t have any at all. Went to look for a new wireless computer mouse and the selection was laughably bad. Disappointed. Wasted a drive. Tons of empty shelf space for out of stocks. Amazon here I come.
I normally love walking through frys electronics but when I walked through today they had no stock. Went to look for a switch game and they had two types of games on the shelf. Walking through the store more than 50% of the shelves where empty.
Pre COVID-19, Frys Electronics has the best deals on computers, total anti-virus software, movie deals and computer accessories. Currently, it still has the best deals, although some selections such as webcams for work at home may be out of stock.Their employees have also been courteous and helpful to customers. For example, they will walk with you to the aisle to help find the product. And if its not in stock, they will look it up on the computer cheerfully.I recently got a hard drive enclosure and Frys Electronics had the lowest price compared to Amazon. Being local, it was easy to order online and pick it up.Returns in the past have also been very easy.
First off, despite the current economic crisis the store was able to provided me with what I intended to buy. Secondly, I was able to do so now with ease! given there werent many people in the building or lines. Refreshing to shop with ample distancing space❣
This used to be one of my favorite places to shop when I needed computer parts now for a good value. However, since the conversion to consignment inventory, Frys now feels like a glorified swap meet. Instead of high-end audio gear in their listening room, I see light-up karaoke speakers. Computer parts are nearly non-existent. I saw 3 working TVs in the TV section, all just one brand. Appliances are limited to a couple of dishwashers on the floor. Its obvious why the place is a ghost town. I can only hope they return to profitability so they get higher quality merchandise again, because this approach does not attract shoppers.
Frys used to be such a fun place to visit. Unfortunately, it seems like they just havent been able to keep up with the times. Their website is old and hard to use, and the store is nearly empty with empty shelves all throughout the store. I went most recently looking for a wifi router, and they only had 2 options, neither a well known brand. They still have about 30 checkout lanes but only one unhappy rep was at the counter who clearly hated his job.I wish the best for this store, unfortunately I dont think Ill be back.
I really was shocked, at the emptiness of the store. They do still have some great stuff. The employee that helped me was fantastic. I think he was a manager. Great customer service.I think Frys Electronics at this location is going out of business. Get in there while its still open and buy up the rest of the store.
Due to the pandemic, the store (Frys Electronics) is a bit slow as far as customers go, but that also makes shopping easier and quicker. Frys Electronics has much to offer for your electronic devices and the in-store pick up is quite busy and easy. But, I am a person who needs to see and look at what I am buying, which is why I prefer to shop in-store.
Great place to get all the parts for my geek or nerdy projects. They have always had those hard to find items when I need them. The sales always have something I need or want, always check them when you go there, it is also a good idea to get on their e-mail list for daily deals. Get there early if you really need an item on sale and they go fast. The also always seem to have in the filament I need to keep my 3D printer running.
Really awesome store with all kinds of items, but right now they are revamping and I was unable to purchase a motherboard or processor. Ended up going to technology partners Incorporated, nice little Mom and Pop shop with a great products, help and great prices. I was able to get a motherboard and processor there instead. Cant wait till Frys electronics gets up and going again, its a nice One-Stop shop for technology.
I love that place . I buy my Pepsi and lipton tea cases from them . I have purchased several items for my car . Backup camera with license plate, speakers, amp, electric scooter and other items . I will continue to do business there . I recommend shopping there but go online to view everything they have .
You closed my credit account because I didnt use it??? Im trying to buy my first house and you just hurt my credit for no good reason. Will NEVER get my business ever again. I didnt use because I paid cash at the store. I have spent $10k plus buying computers and cameras for my online staff from you. Bad business bad!!! What a******!
You know I love Frys electronics I did not really want to post anything on this place because its like its almost dead. inside the aisle are empty they sayeverybody is working from home and theyve taken everything home with them. well that doesnt make much sense either. but its scary to go in there and see everything gone and its no fun to not be able to look for parts and pieces and put stuff together in your mind as youre walking through the aisles. if this is the face of changing stores Im not sure I like it.
Ive always heard great things about Frys Electronics but was disappointed that they didnt have Tablets nor phones to try out before purchasing like Best Buy does. No TVs to really compare quality. It is an enormous place so maybe I didnt look hard enough?
There is lots of free space for activities. Great place to bring your small children and let run. Could also be a great place to being the dogs to run and play Frisby.
Great alt to bestbuy, especially if you know what youre doing, beautiful building. They had what I needed for a much better price
The price matching is awesome once youve done your homework. However, its kind of disturbing watching the store shrink. The sign of the times!
Very good customer service. I reached the store about 5 mins before closing time and asked to help me find the item i need. The staff asked me to wait in the billing queue, found my item from inventory and handed over to me in queue in my last minute purchase. I was fortunate enough to get my very urgent purchase on that day. Thanks again
Time to update my review for this place. After hearing for about a year that theyre working on a re-fit, the place still looks like a barren shell of what used to be the last decent electronics store in the valley. Not sure how they went from being on the TV show Mr. Robot to the wasteland it is today, but if its electronics youre after... better look elsewhere. (Incidentally, though, they have epic amounts of hand sanitizer, face masks, and face shields (ikr??) in stock for your buying pleasure.)
I think they are shutting down. Not a lot of help if you need it. Good thing is there is NO crowd so if you know what you want your able to get in and out fairly quickly.
This place has some specialty items however there is very low to no stock. They have the basics for electronics but you will have an easier time finding what you need on the internet. They also only ever have one person at check out.
Im sure in its prime this store was AMAZING, but now its like a dying dog that needs to be shoot and buried out behind the barn. It was like zombies and old computer components. I wish I would have got to see her in her full glory.
GR8 Tech Gadgets @GR8 Prices... On Top Of That, The Staff Waz Very Knowledgeable When I Had Askt Em Questions... 5Starz Deserve They Do... 👌😉👍
I love this store, sadly they are going out of business. But they still have lots of awesome items and great deals online and off!
Would not price match the microwave I purchased like they say they do for on line pricing. The panasonic nn sn651b sells for 103 on line and is the 3rd one advertised on google for sale as well as states they are an authorized panasonic dealer. It took them a good 15 to 20 min to check me out just to decline matching internet prices. Ezekiel Bonell the manager was not much help. Do not believe them when they say they price match.
Barely anybody there. It looks like the store is going out of business and it just was a very dull experience. I used to love going there but not really anymore would rather buy online via Amazon.
Not like it was before. Empty with all of the sanctions in place. But...it has somehow managed to stay open
Theres hardly anything in there. Plus I could not find one single employee to ask for help. Even if I had found what I was looking for, I wouldnt have been able to actually buy it. Felt like I wasnt supposed to be in there. A giant empty shell of a store. Must be on its way out.
This Frys Electronics has just about everything you need for computers and other items plus its always open and has some very good reasonable prices.
Sad. This used to be THE store to go to for electronics. I had ten things on my list, computer and audio accessories. I walked out with two of those items. No store associates ANYWHERE in the store. Its a ghost town. And about 50% of the shelves look like the picture attached. Now Im off to office Depot and guitar center to get the items I needed. Bummer this place has gotten so bad.
I really hope you guys dont go out of business, maybe it would be worth looking into downsizing and becoming the 21st century radio shack. Us makers still need a place to go
This store used to be the best to get computer hardware and used to have tons of customers. But for the last year or more, the store has become a ghost town and their shelves are bare. They keep stating they are in negotiations with vendors, but I think they are wanting to be like Amazon and only utilize their online store. Pathetic, if I wanted to order online, I wouldnt order from them. They are overpriced. Go to Amazon or Newegg for better price.
I realize it was during Christmas but stock was in low quantities and what was available was scattered. No wonder very few customers were in the store. Sad, I drove a long way only to be disappointed.
I love this Frys. Its got something for everyone. The cafe is packed with energizing food and snacks. The sandwiches are so good. The deals you can find here are limitless. You just have to look. The place is massive but if youre dedicated you can hit a jackpot! The online coupons are good as gold.
This was the jewel of Phoenix. I used to go and spend my whole paycheck there on nerd stuff. It’s not like that anymore.
Frys Electronics used to be the the number one stop shop for all electronics, it isnt anymore as their store now looks empty with just a few things on their shelfs since the whole internet take over, but it brings a lot of nostalgia for the old school gamer, old school tech nerd and overall still has a good selection of products, it just physically isnt what it used to be. Their prices stay competitive and their employees are always available to help.
If I could I would offer 0 stars to this place, their tech support does not seem to know how to troubleshoot issues on repairing and restoring programs, they rather just wipe out and reinstall software . After 2 weeks of going back and forth on the same issue I gave up on them to the point that I didnt even want a refund . I should have gone to Best Buys geek squad in the beginning, the fixed all the issues in 3 days . The picture uploaded was of the 6 of cashiers out of 9in the store while only 3 where helping customers, I would expect them to take care of the rest of the customers in line rather than to be socializing
Store seemed to be going out of business, but due to pandemic it is selling out faster than shipment comes in... They still have quite a bit of inventory... The employers let you shop, but when approached for help; they do not hesitate to assist you to the best of their knowledge... They are very knowledgable, and do not fail to research the correct answer for you before given you false information... Very friendly, and helpful store... 3 Thumbs up from an U.S Army Veteran...
I dont know whats going on with this place but it looked like they didnt have hardly anything, whole rows were empty. they still had like 4 or 5 rows of xmas stuff, for normal price ...smh ....best buy is way better
Its Frys, not sure I can add anything much to what everyone already knows about them. They have a ton of items for sale and at somewhat reasonable prices. Unfortunately they couldnt help me on this trip. Wanted a 3.5 bay media card reader, the spot on the shelf where they are supposed to be was empty. The other part I needed i kind of figured they wouldnt have and they didnt. Also, dont expect much hands on help finding anything. You can ask and they will point you to the general direction of where they think it should be. Four states mainly for the amount of stuff they do carry.
Shelves are not that well stocked on certain big ticket items due to COVID. The store did have what we wanted and employees very helpful. However, store is nothing compared to what it was before COVID on its inventory.
Tremendous variety of most everything electronic, and more! The employees are great and can answer your questions easily. Now they have a great selection of PPE during these times of crisis.
Nice store. Helpful staff. Good prices.
Nice clean not the best part of town but the store is very clean and well organized
Very little in stock, went to get a laptop and hard drive, stores excuse is covid. Dont understand all other big box stores have product on yhe shelf. Looks like they are going out of busines and its the final days of the sale.
Sadly, this place was already dying from online retailers. Covid did not help. Shelves are only sparsely stocked, uncertain if items are just out of stock or just kept in the backroom.
Its hard to see this place almost empty. Employees were super nice and I was able to find what I was looking for.
The best and qualified A+ professionals for computer repairs in the all valley, period.
It’s like a GHOST TOWN inside that store, nothing to buy, go out of business already....
The entire store had nearly empty. You could fit what they did have in stock into a small convenience store, except its a huge warehouse, making finding anything they DO have in stock a horrible game of hunt and search.
They have nothing in stock, they havent been stocking their shelves for over a year. Also most of their assistance clearly hate their job. No one wants to help you or be bothered. That has been my experience in the Thunderbirds store the past several times Ive been in. They dont even seem to be able to keep batteries in stock. There was one girl that helped me a while back unfortunately I dont recall her name if your management reading this I can tell you she had a autistic child, I know this because I had my autistic child with me and we spoke about it. She was nice and helpful but the only one who has been in the store. Props to her.
The only reason why Im giving 4 stars here is because the shelves are empty for the most part. From what the friendly staff members told me is that they are in the middle of contract negotiations with the vendors do thats why the empty shelves I love Frys electronics though all last visits excellent and would have received the five stars on each of those.
Its about time they gave up and closed shop. Shelves are about 20% stocked, if that. Sales staff is almost non existent. Its like being in a ghost town even during what should be the busiest parts of the day. What was once the best places to find almost anything you need now is a joke of its former self.
Frys was one of my favorite places to visit. But now it looks like Frys is getting ready to close. Shelfs are empty. Hardly anyone inside. I hope Im wrong about the closing.
They need to fill the shelves. Thought the place might be going out of business and closing up, but another customer at the next register over asked and the employee said they are definitely not closing and it looks so empty because of the pandemic. Well, then why are all the other stores looking ok with full shelves? Shouldnt be using it as an excuse. The place looks like a ghost town with so many shelves and isles completely empty. The selection of items they did have was pretty poor as well.
This place is decimated. Almost no products, MAYBE 30% of store has merch. No tvs, hardly any electronics, mostly oddball name brand i.e Ralphs headphones, wazoo product X, etc. A total waste of time to shop here anymore. Complete disarray. Me thinks they are headed for permanent closure. I hear through the grapevine they thought it was great to not pay suppliers. I would take that to mean no support or warranties honored. Buyer beware!
Nothing on the shelves yet I did find an employee that was helpful. That was a shock because generally they scatter and there was nobody in the store. In my opinion it looks like that business is going under.
The store is virtually empty now. Won’t be long till they shut the doors for good. It’s sad because it’s a great store when it’s full of products. I’ll miss it.
They are restructuring and although they still have a lot, it is not the HUB of tech that it used to be. Not a single Chromebook stocked. I was hunting for a Hannukkah gift and they had nothing. My hopes were high, because the douche bags at Best Buy had just lost my business PERMANENTLY. Customer service was still exceptional though at this Frys.
It looks like Frys is going out of business. They have more empty shelves than product. Not sure whats going on but other customers were wondering the same thing.
I still love this place. And its the only place local to buy 3d printer PLA filament!!
