I had a reservation at dollar rental at the airport and when I got there they tried to charge me double the price I reserved it for. Luckily I ran into Rusty and he told me he had a few rentals left that was in my price range. He had someone come pick me up from the airport rental place and take me to last resort. After signing some quick paperwork I was off on my way in the car. I ended up needing the car for an extra day, and they accommodated with me on that as well. 10/10 experience super easy and quick. I am definitely coming back and renting from them again.

I live overseas and was shocked when I was denied a rental car from every major car rental agency at the airport because my credit cards limit wasnt over $500. I have a very good credit score and had cash on hand so it didnt make any sense to me.So yeah this place really was my last resort. The price was high and the car was older and in shoddy condition but I needed a car. I drove for two days and was quoted at $600 for the two nights and three days. When I returned I was told that the miles I drove would double the price. I understand that but wish I had been told sooner because it was quite a difference in what I thought Id be paying.I also called to extend my return time and they were accommodating but that increased the price by another $100. Luckily, after I returned the car the clerk gave me a ride back to my hotel.So, overall it was too expensive and the car was an older model. However, they really saved me when I was in desperate need for a car. I also had to drive on a dirt highway and they didnt make a big deal about the state of the car (though Im sure they included a cleaning fee in the additional charges.)I dont know if mainstream places are as underhanded about prices so I cant say go to them instead if you can, but, if you are desperate like I was and have the cash then sure, this is a decent last resort.

This was the most CLUTCH place to get a car from. Rusty was able to help my friends and I get a car rental past their regular business hours. My original car rental was at dollar car rental and they wouldn’t honor my debit card. I would recommend last resort to anyone and everyone!

Absolutely the BEST car rental place in Phoenix! I use them EVERY time I fly into Phoenix. I originally tried to get a car with the big name companies but was denied because you needed a major credit card which I didnt have. Last Resort saved me from being stranded with no car. Their vehicles are VERY nice, clean, well taken care of, and they are VERY caring and professional. Their rates and prices are WAY better than the big name companies. I have rented from then about 5 times and I will continue to use them even if I ever get a credit card because their are the BEST in every category! I honestly recommend this company to EVERYONE! This is a great place to rent a car if you plan on going to Phoenix! We kept getting told by all other major rental places that they were booked out or we were denied because we didn’t have a reservation but we went to this rental dealership and they helped us find a great car for us to have for the week! It is super affordable to rent a car from here and very convenient! I arrived in Arizona to go on college tours with my son. I am a small business owner out of Chicago who rented with Fox. When I arrived at the car rental place the price that was quoted was also asking for a $500 deposit on my debit card and the price before that was $200 more than I was quoted. So that $300 quote went to a grand real quick.Taking time away from your business is enough, knowing you are losing money is worse, but then to get there bring so much money to realize most of it will be tied up in a rental? Not with Last resort car rental.I was referred to Andy, he picked me and my son up from the airport brought us to his office and to our rental. I drive a Jetta, Andy rented me a Toyota Avalon that drove better than any car I’ve ever had. It was so well maintained I was so pleased. We also spent a few days in Sedona and were able to rent the car for the week @$400. FLAT!!!! No hidden fees, unlimited miles, and the best part it took 10 minutes instead of all that wait time at sky harber rentals.When I dropped off Rafi drove me back to the airport. They are so knowledgeable on getting you to your terminal I was just so happy with both Andy and Rafi. Thank you guys for making it possible for me to rent, I 100% will be renting from you anytime I come back to visit my son at college.

Skipped the long lines to get on a bus to the Airport Rental Car facility, they picked me up within minutes of getting my baggage. I rented a high quality SUV and had a wonderful trip. I went to Arizona on a trip and wasnt sure if I was going to be able to get a rental car but I did some research and looked at different places and saw Last Resort and read their raving reviews. And when I arrived, it spoke for itself! I called them and I was able to ride over to the place and I spoke with Jim and he was as kind as can be. Paperwork wasnt a hassle, you fill out a bit of info and you’re good to go! Then I got to meet Rusty who had great service. He helped me with a good rate and sent me along my way with a beautiful Toyota Camry. The condition was in great shape, and I loved it more than my own car. As my time was running out and I didnt realize, legit last minute I was able to get an extension and it honestly saved me. He got back to me and told me that I would be able to have a few more days when really its hard to get a car elsewhere. Even if youre younger than 25 and if you dont have a credit card, this is the place to go. Youll pay extra, but if you are needing a car, its definitely worth it if youre traveling around from out of state :) I even had a late flight and he was telling me he was going to make sure someone stayed back later than open hours so I can bring it back late for my flight. He was willing to do anything to help me out and you don’t see that type of service elsewhere. Thank you guys! I will sure be back if I plan to visit again!

Another car rental place gave me issues and I was stuck at the airport with my one year old. Rasty helped us out and took care of us!! We have been back multiple times since then renting through them. They are awesome!

After another rental company didn’t have the car we had reserved, we discovered this company. The rental process was simple and took just a few minutes. From the airport we took the shuttle to the main car rental facility. Sixt rental agency hooked us up with Last Resort which happened to have the style car we had originally reserved. It wasn’t the newest car, had a couple scratches on the outside which the company assured us we would not be held responsible for, even encouraged us to take pictures if it made us feel more comfortable. The employee we dealt with was friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable. I would use this company again if I come back to Phoenix any time soon!

They have excellent customer services! I was airport and stuck in a jam were I could not rent from any of the car rental places in the airport and I was referred to them. They was able to quickly accommodate me and get me on the road with no problem because of their flexibility and they ended up being cheaper than car rental services that refused services to me. They are waaay less strict with their policies than the more popular car Rental service, that’s what I love most about them.

Was way to much. 700 for a weak would not work with me and hung up on me as well. Do not recommend. Called me about the review and by the end of the call started swearing at me and made threats to me. Please think twice. I was at the airport in Arizona in Phoenix and it was hard to find a rental car everyone was booked up and the Last Resort Car Rental came right to my rescue. The owner Rusty was also great hospitality and great customer service and got me what I needed if you have trouble looking for a rental car please come to last resort car rental.

After being told at Fox that it would be a 3 hour wait to get a car, I happened upon these guys. They had 1 car left and it was well worth it. Great service and very friendly staff. Only way to go when visiting Phoenix!

I didn’t know this and I’m not sure if this is the case at all the airports but all the major car rental companies at Sky Harbor Intnl Airport charge exorbitant fees (around 55% no lie) so whatever price you had locked in with Priceline, or Expedia or whoever you booked your car rental through, be prepared to have them add around 50% on top of their quoted rates. On a tight budget and unable to cover these extra unexpected charges, Sixt car rental ended up referring me to a local car rental company called Last Resort and renting from them has been nothing but a positive experience. The cars are a little bit older than what you would normally get from those other big car rental companies, but their customer service and hassle-free renting process more than makes up for that. Gentleman named Rasty who came and picked me up at the airport and drove me to the lot, (about a 5 minute drive from the airport) has been excellent and absolutely pleasant to deal with. He got me in a car in no time ( and without those crazy fees at the airport) I’ll definitely rent from them again anytime that i come to Phoenix and recommend Last Resort to anyone looking to rent a car in Phoenix

As a frequent traveler for both business and pleasure I was shocked when the big name rental companies wanted $2,000.00 for a 4 day rental. I found Last Chance by luck. They picked me up and drove me to their offsite location. The process was simple and much quicker than my experiences at PHX’s offsite car rental site. Last Resort offers a number of payment options and will rent to folks under 25. The vehicle was clean and easily hauled golf clubs and 4 adults around the valley. I highly recommend this company!

New policies (that were not indicated on the Hertz website when I reserved my car) prevented me from paying for my Hertz vehicle with a debit card because I am under the age of 25. No problem, except with the young drivers fee added on top of already astronomical prices, the cost of renting a car for ten days was so high it would have hurt my credit score to charge it my card! Thats when an agent at Sixt Rental referred me to Last Resort Rental. Not only did Rasty at Last Resort Rental let me charge my debit card but it cost about a 1/3 of the price of any major rental car association. Rasty even picked me up from the airport and was incredibly accommodating. The vehicle was an older model Toyota with higher miles, but it was obviously well cared for as it drove all over the state of Arizona with no problems! If youre in a pinch or sick of getting ripped off by big rental car companies, Last Resort Rental should be your first choice!

Trip to Phoenix started off great. But once at the Airport terminal at Enterprise Rental my reservation was not able to be redeemed due to not having a major credit card only had a prepaid card.Stuck with no rental I was frustrated and walked into another car rental place where they referred me to Last Resort Car rental.Rasty one of the business owners showed up and took us to there place of business, we filled out paperwork and was advised of all the rules and regulations and prices. Due to our situation we really had no other choice. I’m not a big review person, but after my experience with this company i have to give some insight.My family (ages 11 months - 38 years old) and i had a last minute trip pop up from Southwest Louisiana to Las Vegas. I had the idea of flying into Phoenix and renting a car for all of us and going to the Grand Canyon and ending the trip in Las Vegas. We flew in to Phoenix and i assumed (totally my fault) that we would have no problem finding transportation to all of our destinations. Boy was i wrong. Big time wrong. Ski season..as well as Valentine’s Day weekend had me in a bind! Every car rental agency in Phoenix was sold out of vehicles large enough to fit all of us and our luggage. Also, i was running into problems dropping off into another state (Arizona-Nevada). It was down to me having to rent two vehicles and we were going to have to follow each other everywhere which would have sucked! We were going to rent from Fox rentals (albeit they were horribly rated but it was the one of the only companies open at the time of night) but while walking up to the agency, i seen that another company was open..a company called Sixt rentals. I quickly asked the agent at sixt if they happened to have a SUV or vehicle to fit 4 adults and an 11 month old as well as the luggage. The agent checked but they didn’t have any...BUT he had a buddy that he wanted to call and see if he had any options....enter Last Resort car rental. His buddy was an agent at Last Resort. They had an SUV that was available!!! Due to the last minute nature of our situation, the rental was a little dinged up, a little dirty, and had only a half a tank of fuel...but it was certainly an answered prayer. So long story short, we went to the office of Last Resort rentals...now look..i don’t know Phoenix at all...and the location of this place (at night) seemed very very bad...dim lighting, etc. But like we have all heard...never judge a book by its cover. Last Resort is 110% legit, Jimmie and Andy (the two agents i dealt with) were absolutely INCREDIBLE to work with. They helped my family and i out so much! Exactly like the name of the company states...they were our Last Resort and it totally paid off for us.So Mr Jimmie or Andy...if y’all are reading this..thank you so much for your help with renting us the Toyota 4Runner. My family and i were able to travel together..which we would not have been able to do if it wasn’t for y’all. If i could give your company more than 5 stars, i would. Thank you all once again!!

Thank goodness for this rental car company in Phoenix! This is one of the only places that will allow you to use a debit card to rent a vehicle if you live in the state of Arizona. Unlike some of these other car rental companies, they actually try to help you as a human being, instead of treating you like a number. If youre looking for a place that can help you when youre in a pinch then last resort rental car is a place you should call! Rasty was an incredibly helpful gentlemen with great customer skills!

I had a very bad experience with Fox Car Rental and at the last minute the gentleman walked to us and assisted with our luggage and drove us to get a rental. He was very kind and professional. He was about to close and he helped anyway. We had never traveled to Arizona and he made the need for a car smoothe and seamless. I cannot express my gratitude enough for him rescuing my daughter and I. We wont rent from anyone else now when we travel back to Sunshine State.!!

I had an amazing experience with Rasty. I was in a complete bind having lost my credit card & arrived into phx late at night no companies would rent to me. He picked me up from the airport & made all the accommodations necessary. At the time they only had trucks available but 2 days later when a smaller car became available he drove out to where I was staying to switch cars with me as promised. Definitely 5 star customer service & all around an enjoyable experience. Highly recommend!

Me & Boyfriend just recently visited Phoniex I had reservations for budget but this dummy forgot her ID at home.. and my boyfriend wasn’t 25 for another two days & he had restrictions on his license (DUI).. we’re a mess we know, but good people! Besides the point we got the card to this place and had already given up hope to rent a car but the Guy working don’t even remember his name picked us up from the airport, got us through a fast and easy process for renting a car super genuine guy made our stay such a relief from not having to Uber point A to B! dropped off the car & another easy going check out, they give you a ride back to the airport which we thought was really nice as well! We appreciate being able to rent a car that weekend so much Im writing this review :)

We came here literally as a last resort because all of the airport car rental companies didn’t have cars. The staff is extremely unprofessional, but they were one of the only reasons that this doesn’t get a one star review. They didn’t have a single clue how to run a business, however they did seem to empathize with us and were overall nice people. We rented a red 2007 Toyota Corolla, one of their only cars left. It was covered in stains and had an unpleasant smell, despite the air freshener. The car seemed unsafe and like it was going to fall apart any second. The brown stains and cigarette burns all over it really were the cherry on top. After staying one night in a hotel, the car battery had died and the car didn’t start. The rental contract was only 1 page long and seemed a little sketchy. Let alone the under 25 you can still drive rule. Overall, it really is a last resort.

Last resort is definitely the correct name for this place. I’m not going to lie they won’t even be my last resort. I rather pay a stranger on the street to give me a ride. We got bad customer service the 2010 highlander we rented had no cruise control the AC WENT OUT we called and pretty much was told because we wasn’t in Phoenix that they couldn’t help we needed to bring the car to them!!!! I get that if we was in another state but we was still in Arizona and he wanted us to drive a hour to him with 4 kids all under the age for 4 with no AC IN 114 degree weather........ This is just not a place I would recommend I wish I could leave a review with no stars because I would .

I Uber all the way to Sky Harbor Airport with a booked reservation and I couldn’t get a rental because I didn’t have my CC on me. Instead I had a debit card because that’s what I was told by Dollar rental. I was referred from a referral at the airport to check these guys out at “Last Resort car rental” and a young man my the name of Allen came to my rescue! This guy was extremely professional and patient with me. I was tired and frustrated and I knew I was in good hands. Allen picked me up from the airport which was only 10mins away and was able to get the rental I wanted at a great price. Customer service is so important and Allen proved it 500%. I want to thank Allen for his professional hospitality in servicing me on finding a rental. God bless!

I just got off the phone with Andy from Last Resort! our car had an unforeseen meltdown (not their fault whatsoever) all the way out in tucson AZ and with his help he is able to pick up the vehicle and send out another one for us asap. Not only that, but Rusty picked us up from the airport and worked with us kindly during the rental process. This was our “Last Resort” when a previous company fell through. thank you again!

They gave us a vehicle at the last minute and worked with us on the price which I appreciated. However, they never gave us a written agreement on the price we had set, specifically the security deposit and (we were told it was $150 and then later after we returned the car, was told it was $100). He then told us he wrote information on the contract AFTER we signed it and left, which is extremely illegal. Good people, just very sketchy. If you work with them, get ALL prices, paperwork and everything.

No matter your problem these guys will find a solution...Wonderful.If I was to sum up in one word my experience thats how I would sum up the service we recieved. My friends and I didnt know where to turn, but I found these guys, and my friend and I were able to get a ride around town! They picked us up at the air port and we were all squared away from there.

Rented their gray Toyota Highlander 2010 No cruise control it was broke and the worst part of it all the AC went out coming back from California When you call you don’t get any answer Then when they do answer it is poor customer service if i could give a Zero*that’s what I would have done

Rusty is a LEGEND. Not only did he save us from being carless at the airport, he picked us up and took us to his car rental location! It’s right by the airport! No one at the airport would accept a debit card but Rusty does! He even taxis you back to the airport when you leave! So nice and kind! Cannot recommend enough! Don’t use rentals at the airport that will rip you off!! Use Last Resort!!
