The reviews here are absolutely spot on.Upsides - its a very unique location with amazing views and lots of cool ambience (waterfall, slide, bull, live music, etc). The view is near impossible to beat in the PHX metro area. The free cotton candy dessert was also a nice touchDownside - the food. The cook on everything was excellent, but they used absolutely no seasoning on most everything. Im not usually a big salt / seasoning proponent, but it tasted like most items we got had literally zero.We tried the cowboy sampler for 2 and the 10 oz steak. Only the carrots and potato wedges had any added flavor on top of the base flavor of the food.I still give it 4 stars as the food isnt bad. The quality and cook was great. Its just very strange as Ive never been to a place that didnt use seasoning. Being used to how most restaurants season stuff, its a bit off-putting.

First time here, and was definitely a great experience. The atmosphere of the place is great right from the front door when youre greeted by the steer outside. Inside is just as good. The live music definitely suits the rustic country vibe. The service and food was great as well, ribs are unreal the the rattlesnake is a must try. Also cant beat the views of the valley while you have dinner. Will definitely be returning.

The ambiance is great! Its definitely one-of-a-kind! Rustic, western, great food and a fantastic view! I had the salmon and it was great! Its definitely a great place to take out of town guests and its a fun night for locals as well! Its family-friendly and still a great date night option! A must- visit!

I wasn’t sure what to expect when my boyfriend decided we should go to Rustler’s Rooste. He had been once a time a long time ago and I had never been. The atmosphere is something I’ve never seen before. It’s.. old western looking I think? Luckily, it was pretty quiet so I enjoyed being able to have dinner without live music and many people chattering. My boyfriend was super interested in trying the rattlesnake (I was very hesitant!) the presentation of the dish freaked me out a bit too. I’m glad I decided to try it, we both thought it tasted like chicken. 😹For our meal we had some kind of sampler platter with various meats and grilled vegetables. It was very large and we definitely had leftovers! I loved being able to try the variety of things this restaurant had to offer. The presentation was very pretty too! I wish I had taken a picture but sadly I didn’t. Our sever was great as well. I would definitely go back again.

This place was as Down Home as it gets. I had a wonderful time. What a great crew! The staff there knows how to serve up a great time. When in Phoenix I will be back! Great times in one of the best Venues Ive seen to date!

Such a cute western themed restaurant! The food was wonderful and the view was gorgeous! All you can eat beef ribs, prime rib, rattlesnake bites, fry bread, salad and cotton candy. Yum!

This is in a beautiful area with a gorgeous view. Almost worth it just for that. They give you a lot of food so just be ready. Their biscuits taste almost like the base for a funnel cake which was delicious, but filled me up so much that I couldnt get but 3 bites into my burger before asking for a to go box. They also have a side there that all the kids love. Literally saw them going down that thing non-stop.

Torn between a 3 or 4 star rating.. So we were excited to try this new restaurant. Who can say no to all you can eat BBQ beef ribs right, some live country music, and a great night out with the family....well it wasnt bad, but it wasnt really good either. CONS-RIBS-needed tons of salt and seasonings, I drowned mine in BBQ sauce and salt. Im not one to add a lot of salt to things. The ribs really needed it. We had to keep waving our waitress down for drinks. She took so long to come back with things. We also had to wait an hour to be seated. We asked waitress how the menu worked and she didnt explain the you get a big bowl of salad or bread before your meal.. So we ordered an appetizer that we shouldnt have ordered because they have large servings. There are some good PROS-the music was good, theres an indoor slide for kids(con-adults cant slide), the view is spectacular. Fries, bread, corn on the cob were all really good. The serving sizes are really big. The atmosphere is nice. The ribs melt off the bone. Prices are reasonable.Final note-we both only ate the Ribs meal, so I cant speak on the other food.

What a cool place! The food was delicious, service was excellent, the band was great and the atmosphere and view were beautiful. We only wished there was a place to do some line dancing, too.

My son ordered brisket, it was either not really a brisket cut, or a very poor one, he liked it, but was convinced it was just plain old carved roast beef.The wait staff was friendly but not attentive. Never got refills on drinks, waited several minutes on the check, that is always a negative in my book.Overall I rate it as average... some good aspects and some not so good.

This was our first time. Greeters and our server were friendly. The food was okay. Hearty portions. We came for our 10 year anniversary to have it ruined by seeing a BA roach on the table. We darted as soon as we could. Needs better lighting. So dark.

This place sucks. It gets a 1 for the view and atmosphere. The food took way too long like 50 minutes to be delivered and was mediocre. The steak was way over cooked and had zero flavor. The fries were cold. The burger was cold. The server was non-attentive. Is over priced to top it off. Definitely wont be going here again

I absolutely loved this place. Walking in having no idea what to expect I was very happily surprised that live country music was being played. The food was great the service was great and the ambience was even better. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for something different.

Nice ambiance, we tried the Brisket and the sirloin. Both were delicious. Portions were a good Suze, meal came with salad. There were a few to many 🪰 buzzing but not the end of the world. We would go there again.

Super fun layout and entrance, with overall features of restaurant living up to its name. Great view, better as the sun sets... perfect time to be there. Steaks were cut and cooked great. Super fun place for large groups, and even our small party of just 11.

Wow, this place was phenomenal. It was 9:00pm and I was hungry for steak. Google steakhouse that was still open and this place showed up, but it was 30 mins away. When I got there, it was around 9:30 and a gentleman name Tom said they just closed the kitchen. I was a bit disappointed and still hungry, but then he said he will still throw a steak on the grill for me. Leading me downstairs to the window area, I was asking myself where I am going? Once down stair, he took me to a table with the view of Phoenix. I was surprised of the stellar view. I ended up getting rib eye and it was phenomenal 👏 . Superb steak; soft, moist, great size, and one of the best steaks I ever had, bar none. Oh, at the entrance they had a live bull which definitely gives a wow factor and I am sure will impressed a lot of people. Everytime I come to Phoenix, I now know where I must go for stellar steaks. Our friends from out of state wanted to see a beautiful sunset in AZ. Rustlers Rooste was a great place to go! It has a very fun atmosphere, and is great for families.

Family-friendly spot to enjoy great steaks and drinks, and a beautiful view. Definitely a new go-to for me to bring guests thanks to the Western ambiance complete with live country music. For the kiddos, there was even a magician going table-to-table. The prime rib was perfectly cooked and delicious. The included sides were carrots and corn on the cob (both super sweet and tasty) and you get bread and salad for the table. You definitely dont need to add a side given the amount of food they bring out, but if you do get one, I recommend the jalapeño mac.

Enjoyed Thanksgiving Dinner there last night. What a great place to gather with family and friends! Excellent atmosphere perfect for kids too! My 4 year old grandson LOVED the slide! Dinner was great, service great! Been coming here since 1991 for special occasions and always will! Never dissapointed!

I expect a higher standard coming here. Had to scrap off a layer of spiced paste on the ribs.. ordered a medium rare filet came medium well *yes was fixed quickly* corn on the cob was soggy.. salad was wilted and soggy. Better meal and cheaper prices at Longhorn or Logans Steakhouse.

Ok so its date night and I wanted to show some love so I was thinking why not the Roster?Arrived about 545pm figuring well see the sunset from a dinner table. Got there and was told an hour wait without reservations, arrrg so we went and sat at the bar tables and waited. Ordered a beer and a just enough salted margarita and some Nacho platter, but b4 the platter could come, the table was ready. We got a upper level table, as there are four seating areas in here. You have upper level to include bar, the outside lower level overlooking the golf course and city, the stage dinner area, and the lower level inside dining area. All with great views. We ordered the prime and salmon dinners which come with a Ceaser salad. Food was ok, not great. This isnt a bad thing because the environment made it better then it was. I mean the steak was a little tough as was the fish. The bread wasnt cooked enough but the salad was great. The whole atmosphere dinner was a five star, the food unfortunately only deserved a 3.9. I would recommend this as a great date night and make sure you bring a camera for some great daye night pics of the city. My hats off to the gentleman that did the singing, I got to share a very remarkable dance I will never forget.

Ricky is the man!!! we had a group of 11 people omg!!! and 7 were kids! they had a table set up by the slide..waters on the table..bread hot and ready. entire experience was SO AMAZING. also great to add on desert for the birthday boy, kids could share the cake, 100% do it again. never been here before but will always come back (were from tucson bit travel often). thank you to the awesome wait staff!!!!

We had a reservation. The food was good but we saw the guy cleaning our table more than our server. She did not ask if we wanted more ice tea and did not ask us if we wanted dessert....I was looking forward to the chocolate cake and pink cotton candy.We left and had after dinner drinks and dessert elsewhere.

There doesnt appear to be a lot being done for COVID-19 mitigation. Its a very busy place. People were shoulder to shoulder with most, including staff, unmasked and the tables were turned over after a quick wipe. Great view and wonderful live band. The taste and quantity of the food matched the price. The drinks were pleasantly balanced.

This was an excellent place for dinner. The staff was awesome, the food was excellent. Our server, Sandy, was fantastic. They serve cotton candy after dinner, which is my favorite sweet. They have a slide for kids who dont want to take the stairs. I cant wait to go back.

We hosted my daughters wedding there as they wanted a Western venue. We could not have been more pleased with the result. The staff helped us all along the way to ensure everything was very smooth. Telling us what was available (what wasnt).Covid forced us to go small for the occasion and they worked that in too (it was about 30 people) which already made planning and securing locations hard, but they have been pragmatic over the last year and already knew what to do!We cant thank them enough, the food was excellent, the barn was the Western setting they wanted (props and all) and the wait staff was awesome.

Positives: I scheduled a table for 8 and the day before they called to ensure the party was still 8… I let them know it was moved to 10 and they were great about. I received a text and phone call from them confirming the reservation. GREAT!!Negatives: our waiter just sucked. He seemed annoyed when we were ordering. We ordered a drink that comes out lit and on fire, it wasn’t “on fire” so he stuck his fingers inside the drink to grab the lil cube that they put on fire and took it out of the drink.. bare fingers and scooped it out.. who does that?Steak was decent and expected. My guests kid wanted a WELL done steak (I know, who eats it well done.) and it came out rare…. Overall for the price we paid it wasn’t worth it… I know remember why I don’t go out to this place to often. Much better places, with better service!Sorry to order food and annoy you Mr Waiter!

Customer service was very good. Food was okay. We had burgers, prime rib, salmon, and ribs. Celebrated my sons Birthday. The views were beautiful, especially at night. We had 9 people, our table was wooden with fold up ends, not very stable. Rattlesnake was good. Slide for kids. We bought the Birthday package. Cake, cowboy hat, cow bell, and singing we enjoyed. There was no live music.The prime rib was not very warm. music. The baked potato was very good.

Tonight we celebrated my sisters birthday 🎂 with a beautiful view of the city while enjoying a DELICIOUS meal, we made reservations with no complications, we received a text 2 hours before our reservation time to remind us & also let us know we could cancel through text if we had to, we even ran into traffic & texted to let them know, my sister had a huge surprise when they let us add the kids on our reservation 3 hours before, the staff was very professional in every area of customer service, and the food was delicious! We highly recommend Rustlers Rooste as a MUST TRY!!!

I was shocked at how dangerous the pathway is from the parking lot into the restaurant to the hostess area. Uneven with an incline and dimly lit. The older gentleman ahead of me tripped. Not safe for older people. A well placed sign to an alternate entrance would be nice (like the exit door from the gift shop?). It was unpleasant and unappetizing to be greeted at the front door with the animal pen and smell of feces in the Arizona heat.The food was very well cooked and portions were generous. We ordered to go, the prime rib and rib eye. The only criticism was that there was absolutely no seasoning whatsoever. Very bland.We ordered the chocolate cake. Maybe I missed it in the description but it was drizzled with a cherry liqueur sauce? Would have been nice to have it on the side...we dont care for cherries and they can be allergens for some and the liquor would ruin it for children. As I said I may have missed that in the menu description.The employees were all very friendly and everything was packaged nicely.

They were closing an hour earlier than they had on the doors because they say business has been slow. Threw us off a little because it certainly wasnt. They were still great and food wasnt bad. We dined in on a Sunday evening and didnt have too long of a wait. As far as the views, the music, and the atmosphere go, this place is five stars. However, the place was understaffed which meant it took a bit longer to get small things like water and to get boxes, but I didnt mind that as much. The reason this is four stars is for the steak, which was ordered medium rare but ended up being closer to medium-well and needed more seasoning and the burger for the same reasons. However, the rattlesnake was a unique and good choice, and the pork ribs were definitely worthy of ordering again. Overall, good portions, great atmosphere and views, and some menu items better than others.

Rustic, authentic cowboy BBQ place. The band was great, the food likewise. Had broiled chicken quarter. My friends had steaks and said they were delicious. Overall country decor: wooden floors, beams- even a fun slide for kids near the band.A giant live longhorn steer corralled to greet your entry. Great for corporate groups, too.

Food was amazing and had just the right smoke flavor on ribs and the basket with warm butter roll was worth the 50 hr work week

Good beef. Sort of weird that they just pile your plate with gross carrots and corn that tastes like it sat in boiling water for 12 hours. Despite that the ribeye and prime rib are excellent.

So me and the misses have been going here for at least 3 years....we mix it up all the time. Tonight we both ordered the all you can eat beef ribs, theyre always good and the service is always awesome and the drinks are awesome as well. I highly recommend this place for any occasion.

Awesome atmosphere and staff! Loved this restaurant on our trip to the Phoenix area! We had rattlesnake bites...because thats something we cant get at home! (They were good...but you can skip this if youd like).. our group had the shrimp...YUMMM!!! Ribs, delicious, prime rib, VERY good, 2 steaks...all very good! I loved the salad and corn bread!!!! I would have been happy eating just that and taking the entree home! We skipped dessert. Awesome experience!

Trash food and service. We were very excited to eat at this restaurant. However, it fell WAY below our expectations. The menu is super limited and the quality of the food is extremely poor. How does one manage to make corn distasteful- Im not sure but the chefs succeeded with that. All food options were super overpriced. Do not waste your time or money on this place. Our server did not once come in to check on us or refill our waters + we observed another tables ordered food completely forgotten about. All the hype and escalated prices about this place must unfortunately be due to the location and view. My husband and I joked on the way home that a bowl of cereal would be more satisfying. Disappointed but oh well! We should have listened to the rest of the reviews indicating the poor service and food quality before deciding to give it a shot.

Family tradition is to go to Rustler’s Rooste every time we visit Phoenix. It never disappoints! The wait was long due to COVID guidelines, they had us spread out more than usual. They said it would be a little over an hour wait, and it was exactly 70 minutes. Which was long, but there is plenty to walk around and see, especially when the sun is setting you can get the best pictures. And there bull is always cool to see, he was especially photogenic during our evening there. Definitely bring your camera! Food was worth the wait, as always, it never disappoints! Service once we were seated was the best, you don’t feel rushed even though they get your food coming to you. Their speedy service is definitely appreciated! The complimentary cotton candy at the end of the meal was so good.

Not a great experience. Went here because of the great reviews. My Tenderfoot Fillet was a couple slabs of roast beef, thrown on a grill to brown them up. One in the party ordered the rattlesnake appetizer. Server said it was 3 oz, but it looked more like 1.5. Seriously small portion. Another in the party ordered Prime Rib, medium. It was bleeding all over the plate and they started feeling sick by the end of the meal. Lemonaide was nasty. Server was polite and attentive, but it took forever to get the check when we wanted to leave. I may go back for a burger and beer sometime, but I dont think Ill order a $30 meal again. Nice atmosphere. Great view.

Ambience is spectacular. Food was delicious. Starts with salad served family style with fry bread. Dinner comes with 2 sides, corn on the cob and one other side. Baked potato costs extra but really not needed with the quantity of food you receive. Tried dessert, 9 layer chocolate cake which we brought home and shared between 4 people. Cake looked much better than it tasted, was very dry. Waitstaff were excellent. Seemed to be short staffed but waitress always had a smile on her face and very helpful. Will not hesitate to return

I’ve been to Rustler’s Rooste several times. Every time I go we go with a group of people and we have such a good time! The environment immediately puts you in a good mood and the service there is incredible! Everyone is so friendly and fun! This time I went on a company event and it was amazing! The food was delicious and cooked just right! The decorations were so festive and it put us in the mood to dance all night long! The view of the city from here is breathtaking. This is definitely a good place to have a big Family dinner or company get together.

So fun. We loved it. They have a bar to get drinks while you wait and they actually make them good. The kids can use the slide. Our 4 year old loved it and did it about 100 times. The view from about every table is amazing of all Phoenix. HUGE portions. Actually a waste cause way too much! Hopefully they arent throwing out all that salad and find a way to use it (feed to animals) The steak is the way to go, prime rib or ribeye. Im taking home leftovers to make stew. The server was super busy but still very nice and efficient. A old country band was playing and we danced. They can accommodate large crowds. They (and all the people in there) do not seem covid conscience at all.

Great tourist stop of course... Great views of the valley....Food? 5/10 at best. You can get a great baked potato but most entrees leave a bit to be desired...especially for the price.... Food is ok as stated but falls short of expected... Other restaurants on this property are a better choice....

Yum yum!! The food was really DELICIOUS!!! The burger was SOO good. The kids menu is complementary when it’s Happy Hours!!! There is also complementary cotton candy! Overall I recommend this restaurant for Lunch or Dinner.

Food was ok. Salad virtually had no greens just the white part of the lettuce and it had little dressing flavor. Had to ask for drink refills and additional beef ribs, all you can eat. Fry bread was cold and chewy. Steaks were cooked well and had good flavor.

Wish I could tell you how the food was but after waiting an hour on a Monday when told the wait was 30 minutes we gave up and left. The ambience, decor and view are incredible, I really wish we could have enjoyed a meal there. Sat in the bar where we awaited 30 minutes for nachos which consisted of chips with cheese, not sure if that’s a good judge of their food 🤷‍♀️ There were tons of open tables and groups of employees standing around talking…not really sure what the deal was, maybe a kitchen shortage??? Anyway, pretty bummed, and hungry. Place really was super cool looking.

The Place isn’t fabulous. It’s okay. Service was lacking. The menu is EXPENSIVE with limited side options. Carrots with my steak were bland. The unique thing was the rattlesnake and cactus dish! The view is beautiful and it’s an interesting atmosphere—but don’t expect exceptional food. Mediocre at best.

Just went to Rustler Rooste on Monday for work and had a great experience with not only the service, but the amazing views. This place knocks it out of the park with regards to a unique dining atmosphere🖼  Great place to have an event and an even better place to take some pictures after dinner🤟 The kitchen delivered the many steaks exactly as requested which is great to see. My only reason for 4 stars is that the steaks had 0 seasoning. Not sure if this is a Rustler Rooste thing, but I would have appreciated some steak seasonings involving butter, garlic, and rosemary at least. All in all. This is a definite recommendation. Must go during the sunset☀️

Great food and atmosphere. The view is beautiful. We lucked up on fireworks night! We ate at the bar and the bar staff was awesome. Beef ribs are highly recommended and the double barrell margarita!! The bull is super cool!!

I read a lot of the reviews before I went with a group of 15 people. I was prepared for food that was adequate and that is definitely what we got. I might be a little picky about my steak and so when I got a prime rib that was a little bit tough and didn’t have a lot of seasoning to it I wasn’t disappointed because I was prepared based on other peoples reviews. The salad looked like it was just iceberg lettuce salad. I did taste one of the biscuits and it was dry. But with that said the server was phenomenal And kept everybody’s orders street. Also water and drinks were easily obtained. It wasn’t so loud that we couldn’t hear each other. I was a little disappointed because we couldn’t go out onto the patio because there were so many events occurring at the time but that wasn’t a big deal.

This place is amazing. Great place for a date night or family night . The wait is usually shorter than what they estimate. We usually crab a drink at the bar while we wait . Our servers have always been fantastic as well as the food .

Good food great atmosphere and cant beat the view from the top of the hill. The table was a bit cramped for four of us; next time well try to get a booth. My boys loved the slide!

We’ve gone here for my Granddaughters birthday a few times, before and after COVID. They have retained much of the charm and experience while dealing with COVID restraints. The food is as good as ever, we had the Brisket, Ribs and chicken at our table and shared. All were cooked perfectly and very tasty! The servers were right there when we needed and always very polite. The kids ate a hamper and chicken strips. The great topper was the birthday celebration, cake and cotton candy. They were busy and the live music was perfect, thanks again for making a fun family experience while delivering great food!

They just kept bringing the food! The rattlesnake was delicious and you could cut the steaks with your fork! And just when you thought you couldnt eat anymore they brought out cotton candy! The slide inside was great fun too! The view was beautiful!

Great Atmosphere with great views! Sirloin steak was great prime rib was ok comes with corn carrots and beans with all were good.

Long wait an hour and a half after arriving at 6 pm. It was well worth it. Awesome dinner 16 oz Prime Rib cooked just like I asked. My wife ordered a full rack of Pork Ribs that fell off the bone and were delicious. The service was fantastic, Dylan you did an outstanding job. Keep up the great work. As always, we will be back.

Our main entrees were great but we were unable to choose our own side dish. For the cost of the meal, I’d like to choose my own sides. Having a live performer was a nice touch, what made it awesome was his wonderful voice.
