This is probably the worst apartment complex I lived in. For the last 8 months of living here, it has been nothing but problems such as a black mold issue where me and my roommates still had to live in the apartment until the mold was gone, as well as the hall bath constantly overflowing and taking the office MONTHS to get an actual plumber to fix the issue among other things. the only good thing was a couple of the employees were nice and tried to assist with only some of issues but there was one employee, Keondre, who had the worst customer service. He always had an attitude even for the most simplest question. Lastly the community lacked communication with everything! So if youre looking to rent here, this will save your time, energy and money and dont even bother.
I have lived her a little over a year and I love it!! I feel very safe and comfortable in my apartment. The office is always sending out sweet emails and little gifts here and there. They redid the patio furniture at the pools even adding more. They are finishing up redoing the front swimming pool aka resort feel!! Cabanas big grilling area sand volleyball. My kids and I are just so happy here!
I have lived here for over two years and have loved every minute of it! Whenever I have maintenance issues they are fixed right away. This past week I had an issue with the clothing rack in my closet and Seth from maintenance was a HUGE help! He was very polite, professional, and prompt! He made sure the job was done right so I don’t have to worry about it going forward! Thank you so much!
Alexis from maintenance once again gave professional and supportive services. He fixed our issue while ensuring our safety.Thank you so much for your friendly attitude.
As a retired person, the Sonoran is a great place to call home! The Manager Corina Arana and all the leasing staff, especially Vanessa and Rachael, are truly caring, efficient, and ready to help with any questions. Maintenance is excellent! They are prompt, efficient, and courteous. Makes me feel like family. The nonsmoking, both indoors and outdoors, makes life much more pleasant than the other apartments Ive lived in. Valet trash pick up is wonderful!
Im writing this review on behalf of my mother who has lived there several years and is renewing her lease, the office staff has been so helpful and patient with her and they make sure she is taken care of! She is happy living here and being able to maintain her independence in her golden years. Im grateful to the office and maintenance staff, a big thank you to you all!
STAY AWAY!!!! I moved out 6 days early because thats when i finally found another place..i informed management and asked if i could be released from my lease because it was less than a week til it was up..they denied it in attemps to force me to renew...then charged over 800 for a broken lease plus other misc charges..i understand paying for carpet etc even though we were there for 3 yrs. But to top it off, they added on legal fees totalling over 2000...i had always paid my rent on time..and prior to this had no broken leases, evictions or late payments. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!
Yooooo!!!! There aint no perfect place HOWEVER the people that work/service can make you feel like this is a perfect place. (The Managers.....Corina, Vanessa, the Maintenance crew and a host of others behind the scene)I keep renewing even though I am ready to leave. The place is always clean, its not a noisy complex, and its got all the amenities that you need.
If you are considering renting an apartment at Sonoran, plan on adding $100-$200 per month to your anticipated expenses because they will nickel and dime you to death. They will tack on charge after charge without notification. Then, when you leave, no matter what you do, they will keep your deposit and bill you for everything under the sun, even for things you never heard of. They will threaten to ruin your credit and not work with you on a reasonable payment plan. I have seen other community management organizations legally penalized and shut down for the types of practices I have observed here. You will be better served by seeking housing with a company who observes better customer service.
Sonoran Apartments have the greatest maintenance team. They are knowledgeable, fast with repairs, respectful, clean, all while being friendly. Its always a pleasure to deal with anyone on their team.
Vanessa is very welcoming and helpful. She gave a lot of information about the area and it felt like I was talking to a friend. I was not able to rent here due to availability. I would definitely recommend these apartments.
We’ve lived here for about a year and we couldn’t be happier! Everyone at the front office is super welcoming and always willing to help you out! And a special shout-out to Keandre because he was the one to help us find our perfect apartment and has been a HUGE help ever since! We are looking forward to renewing our lease here when the time comes, and making more memories in the process!
I lived here for a year and it was one of the worst places I have ever lived. Unprofessional staff that seem to be not doing much work ever but have a hard time answering the phone. When we did get a hold of anyone, they didnt seem to know their policies and were not helpful at all. We had so many maintenance issues(many times with the same appliances) that they never actually fixed. You are supposedly made to feel safe because the community is gated but the gates were broken often. And they will find a way to charge you when you move out no matter what you do. Oh, and definitely dont get covid because they will do nothing in the way of helping you figure out a way to make ends meet while you are sick and cannot work. Ultimately, they will find any way to get as much of your money as possible while doing the bare minimum as far as upkeep.Edit:. I am amazed that a bad review warrants a response in less than 12 hours, whereas we could hardly ever reach anyone while we were living there. I have no reason to try to talk to anyone working there now to maybe help make your business better. This review is solely for the purpose of warning anyone that wants to live at the Sonoran.
I like this apartment complex Ive never have rented an apartment before I love the location near everything doctors stores restaurants, I had the pleasure of meeting Vanessa Sanchez over a year ago I signed a year lease and was also fortunate to sign up for another lease.Vanessa is professional but has the human touch, great empathy and great listener and get things done. She is a true asset to MG properties. She always there when needed. Great job always.
I seriously would not recommend this place to anyone. The images may be appealing but they don’t care about their tenants. My mom was recently laid off due to COVID and she had to pay her rent late and was never informed by anyone that the late fee is 127.87 plus an additional 10 per day and then if you don’t have it by the 5th of the month they charge another $35 fee. As if times aren’t hard enough on everyone! & when we called to inquire about the late charges and explained our current situation they had no assistance to offer. It’s a scam. DONT DO IT!
I have to say I have been here since Oct 2019-i have experienced excellent customer service by office staff-especially Vanessa and the maintenance team. No major issues except for a few tenants but you will have that..other than that the price and value is exceptional.. check it out..
We moved in about 2 months ago. I absolutely love it.Excellent staff Vanessa was very helpful super polite and Professional. I really recommend this property it nice and clean. Close to lots of stores and Restaurants. I’m very happy with the place truly recommended .
If I were you I wouldnt waste my time. The front office is clueless and Contradict each other in what they say. Absolutely a waste of time! Go somewhere else!
I just moved-in the leasing office made it really easy. They are also bilingual which is great. Maintenance is very helpful. Vanessa, Corina, Keandre and Derek are super nice. So far, I love living here !
Vanessa Sanchez is soo wonderful, any concerns or questions I had they were always available or if I wasnt able to get through they would always call me back promptly. I love the community it is quiet and peaceful. So very thankful I moved here.
Highly recommend. The employees are very nice, helpful and very genuine. The area is very peaceful and clean, nice colors and the look is great! Again, highly recommended.
I am happy with my new lease . it does not provide grace period. this first time in since I lived in Arizona that I have been given lease that does not have grace period and I have been with Sonoran apartments since 2012
Apartments are nice. Vanessa Sanchez is so so nice and friendly. very knowledgeable. shes always pleasant whenever i call or go into the office.
HUGE ROACHES!! This complex has many different kinds of bugs & the front office staff is very rude, Paris extremely (immature) Dont waste your money here. GO ELSEWHERE
Loved the old company, this new company that took over sucks!!! We are supposed to live in a gated community but they leave the gate open, talking with the receptionist was like talking to a child. I had mail in the office for weeks with no notifications and I was told the post man should have told me it was there after I argued with 4 companys about not getting my products. It is 115 out and they shut down the pool the way this new management is running other things makes me feel like this is not the place for me. Ashame because this is such a great aresAnd the responses to these reviews from them are generic
I just moved into Sonoran Apartments. One of the main reasons why I moved in is because the amazing leasing Director Charlene! She is so kind and welcoming that the first time I went in I knew this was the place I ultimately wanted to live. She made me feel totally comfortable and at home. She did a great job of explaining all of the wonderful perks and amenities that came with living in the complex. I was determined to move in within the first 5 minutes! Overall its been moving into Sonoran has been a great experience and I have the awesome leasing Director Charlene to thank for it!
The staff has been absolutely wonderful. Carla at the front desk is always a pleasure and helped us throughout the whole process and the manager Corina was willing to work with us on a misunderstanding and came to a resolution to helped my roommates and I! I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a good place to live.
I moved here abt 6 months ago from NY and it was so hard finding a place to live because I read reviews and there were horror stories for every place I could find! But I took a leap of faith and have loved living here! Everyone at the office is so friendly and helpful, Vanessa and LaMonte (miss him!) have helped me the most but everyone else is so nice too and want us to be happy and comfortable. A couple of times I have needed help of maintenance and all the workers are so sweet, they say hello to everyone they see outside and have even stopped me to check that everything was smooth in my apartment. I feel very supported here and it’s nice to know the staff cares about keeping up the spaces and making sure we’re happy.
We moved here about 3 months ago and absolutely love it! The leasing staff is super friendly and helpful. Sage is awesome! She remembers who you are and what apartment you live in which is very personable and nice. All of our service requests have been taken care of super quick. Highly recommend this place to anyone.
The service here was amazing! I recently stopped by to inquire about moving in once my lease is up at my current apartment. I know some friends who moved in and they have nothing but great things to say about this complex. Everyone in the office was very friendly and straight forward with the pricing and how the move in process would work. Honestly I can’t wait to move in I wish my current lease was up sooner!
One of the leasing agents, her name is Vanessa and I truly miss her. When I get a chance Im going to come visit her at Sonoran. If you guys need any help I would ask for her she is very helpful with everything, She will answer all of your questions and get you what you need. Vanessa Sanchez I miss you so much and Ill come and visit you!❤❤😊😊😊😍😍😃😃
We love living here! Every time we have a request or notify management of an issue they are prompt and professional. Kari and Charlene are professional and kind.We moved from down town Phoenix to the Sonoran and it’s been such a beautiful change.Thank you for making our living experience a great one!!
I was very impressed by the staff but most importantly Anna because until recently I have visited many properties where the team wasnt knowledgeable about the community or the application process. Anna was knowledgeably, personable and professional, guiding us through each step of the way with a smile. The location was excellent just off the I10, newly renovation, valet trash service, no complaints of pest from other tenants and the gates are always closed. If your looking for a upgraded space in a great location and a professional staff, give them a ring!
Honestly the SONORAN Apts surprised my wife Apostle Marivel and I.
I moved into the apartment complex three months ago and so far so good. I heard that there was turnover in property ownership and management before I toured the property and ultimately moved in. My move-in was well coordinated and the property management was very courteous and well organized. While I have heard from neighbors that bugs were an issue inside the units, I am so happy to find that these were just stories or were issues resolved under the current management. I can attest that my unit is spacious, clean and without any pest issues. Very happy to call this place home for the immediate future and recommend it to anyone interested in it.
Ive been living at Sonoran four plus years. Everytime my lease is up I look around to compare apartment prices, amenities, staff etc.. But by far the Sonoran apts are the best value every time. Im a Phoenix firefighter and I work and live in this community, this is my 1st due so its important to me. I care about the folks here and because of that Im writing this review. The apartment homes themselves are immaculate, every single day there are people keeping up the grounds. On top of that the maintenance guys here are top notch. I know them all by now, lol! Competent and professional. The management company has just invested a TON of money in the property. They re-roofed every building..during the summer! Painted every building, replaced every window screen, drained and completely refinished the main pool, the grounds are always immaculate. The response to service requests or maintenance is ALWAYS prompt, courteous and professional. The residents I know or have met are now friends and we wave and watch out for each other, its a family community.Last but not least the leasing staff have been and continue to be extremely open, caring, efficient, friendly and professional! Especially Vanessa who has helped me with everything from maintenance requests to mail to logging online to their information site, with patience and kindness from the day she got here. Thank you Vanessa!Great all around community!
We moved into Apartment 1017 April 24th 2020, this same day our AC Unit started leaking and the Supervisor of maintenance provided us a bucket and stated it is an old ac unit, and the residents before you never put in a work order he proceeded to use a suction to vacuum out old debris and that was it. May 30, 2020 our AC Unit started leaking again, a work order was placed and the Supervisor of maintenance came to our residence and informed us that he would place an order for a piece. May 30, 2020 we received an email that the work order was completed which is false because the ac unit is still currently leaking as of 6/1/2020. We reached out to the front office 6/1/2020 and we spoke with Paris who was very rude and informed us that maintenance puts the work order as completed to move onto the next customer, we felt this was very negligent as we have constantly had concerns with the leaking ac unit since moving in.
The office staff is super friendly. Since the day of move in they have been super helpful ! Vanessa is amazing!!!
I just want thank Vanessa with everything you’ve done and the staff. I’ve lived at these apartments for three years and I would recommend this place if your looking for an apartment in the Ahwatukee foothills.
Great management and awesome people. Through an Easter event for the residents which was awesome. Free food and drinks. They go out of their way for the community
Ive lived in the Sonoran apartment community for 4 years and Im planning to re-up for another year when my lease is due soon. The apartment community is a good one. Ive never had any issues with the management. Whenever I call with a complaint or concern the staff always makes an effort to do what is needed to fix things (and quickly). When I call maintenance with an issue that needs fixed they come quickly (especially if its urgent). The community is kept clean and in good shape. I use the communitys exercise room daily and Ive been told that management intends up expand the exercise room so its bigger with more equipment for the residents to use. Overall the only real complaint Ive had in this apartment community after 4 years is dealing with inconsiderate neighbors but even those issues have been minor inconveniences and never any major issues.10/9/18 - I wrote the previous review back in 2013 and I wanted to update it. I just moved out of Sonora a month ago (9/2018) and was happy with the community through the whole 9 years I lived there. The only reason I moved is because I bought a home.
Personally, I do not write bad reviews on something that disturbs me but this apartment is a thing. I have requested a service call 2 days ago and till now they have not come and fixed our problem. My bathroom toilet is flooding with water everywhere and they do not consider it an emergency. Water is flooding? Am I getting something wrong here? There is water everywhere and this is what they told me, turn off the valve and put a bucket under the toilet and dump out the water every time it fills up. I really DO NOT recommend anyone to live here. There is roaches everywhere and literally it is the most disgusting apartment I have been to in my life. On the lease contract it says Mold Free Zone but in reality the air smells like mold there is mold everywhere in the bathroom. Bugs literally everywhere, also in your bed. I would be worried if anyone lived here....Please do not contract with them I beg of you.
Hi everyone ! A couple weeks ago my cat went missing 😓 she usually walks around the volleyball court she is a dark grey with a white spot on her chest and white paws 😭 please bring her back home ! She is super friendly. Her family misses her..
I left a review last night which got deleted. No worries! I will just keep posting this review so others can be aware of my experience and know what they are getting into before signing a lease with this property.BE AWARE, DO NO RENT HERE.I first arrived at the Sonoran Apartments on Friday Nov 20 excited to find a new place to live for the next 12 months. I was greeted by Lamonte (who was great) and he told me about the community, the apartment, and all of its features. He had excellent customer service and made me feel like the Sonoran would be an ideal place to stay. The apartment was freshly renovated and looked great! It seemed like this place would make a great fit but I decided to wait a week to think about my decision and get a second opinion. One week later, on Friday November 27th I brought my mom by so she could see the place I was interested in. I was so excited and had been talking this place up for the last week, so naturally I was more than ready to sign a 12month lease for the next year. When we were greeted in the leasing office, the girl (who didnt even bother to give me her card) was less than thrilled to see us and it was like we were bothering her for asking for a tour. She was not welcoming or warm in the slightest of ways.On our tour we asked very basic questions about the community and the apartment, and it was like we were pulling teeth to get answers. Although she had knowledge of the community, her poor attitude and demeanor made me question how I would be taken care of for the next year. The happiest I saw her during our tour is when we were leaving and she could finally be alone. I left feeling so embarrassed that I even brought my mom here.Finding a new apartment should be exciting and the girl at the front could have cared less. As I stated before I was more than ready to sign a 12 month lease that day, but because of her attitude and her lack of respect I ultimately decided that the Sonoran Apartments would not be the right fit for me. I opted to live further away from work and pay more so I would not have to deal with her and her poor attitude on a weekly basis for the next year. There are plenty of other apartments in the area where the leasing agent will be just as excited as you are about your new move and will be warm and welcoming to you. Learn from my experience and make sure you do your research before signing with this place. I am so happy that I did not settle for this community.
Lamonte!! Very vibrant in the voice and hopped on my maintenance request ASAP Rocky. You a real one 💋
TO ANYONE LOOKING INTO THESE APARTMENTS, RUN AWAY!Update: despite my car being up to date and working they towed my car. The manager didnt want to deal with me either. No one should go through what I went though. Dont rent here. They will keep tabs on your car, how much you move them. Instead of sending an email to the residents they thought it was a good idea to irritate everyone here and add tow sticker which bakes onto the window. I miss GREY STAR SOOOO MUCH. They never harassed us on our vehicles and now this is a thing. I work from home and now my cars are too much of a trouble for this company that took over. Its bad enough youre already kicking us out for our puppy, now this. Thanks MG properties.
I talked to a person named Carla .. and she helped me out with such good information!!I really appreciate the transparency!
I loved the previous mgmt. the new one which took over recently has been doing all the very often apartment check [ knocking the door heavily when my kid was sleeping though we were trying to open ] and renovation works without keeping the residents comfort in mind. Its always been noisy and not so friendly to live these days. They always blow all the trash to the patio and do not do cleaning often as opposed to daily blowing earlier. No response/return call while trying to reach leasing office. The rent seems to be increasing at a much faster rate. I started w/ 980/month and now its 1200 plus for 1BHK.
Sonoran has very nice apartments with a private staircase leading up to each 2nd floor apartment. However, someone recently came up ours and cut the lock and stole a bicycle. Sad to know that these private staircases now feel more like an unsafe area where crooks can come up and scout and steal without worrying about passerby’s. It is unfortunate that the crime problem in Phoenix has spread to Sonoran as we had previously felt safe here.
Im writing this review because management here take long to resolve your issues and I made an application but did not get the apartments and then my administrator fee was never given back. Management dont even know what happen to my fee and when I called they dont even have good customer service thats why moving here to me is an issue because of the office running it. Already talk to Eric and when you talk to him he rolls his eyes like he is all tired of working here.
Nice apt in Ahwatukee area.. friendly staff and outstanding response for any kind of requests... can improve the lighting inside the community... overall great community to live in...
Ive lived here for several years and have experienced nothing but greatness. I love my apartment. The staff is nothing but friendly and helpful. I would recommend Sonoran to anyone who is looking for a great place to live.
This was a nice and safe community. Its always quiet. Really appreciated the maintenance and staff, but I experienced more than a few issues that would make me never want to rent there again. I felt when they could, they tried to milk us for what money they could. The gate openers, that only worked half of the time as it was, the buttons would constantly fall out. I took it in to the office and she tried to blame me and charge me not once for the key opener, but twice. She said the only way the buttons would have fallen out was if I threw it against a wall which is ridiculous to even assume and wanted me to pay not to replace just that one, but also a totally new one on top of replacing that one. Didnt even make sense to me. Why would I pay for the one that was already not functioning properly, but two at that? Then was waiting on my tags to get in for my vehicle and they threatened to tow my car putting impossible to take off stickers onto my vehicle window. The last straw was we needed a little extra time to find a new place, so we renewed our lease for only three months and turned in a notice to give us a little extra time to find a new place, granted because we did the three months we already had to pay an ungodly amount monthly because they wont give you the same rate, even if you extend for another year, your rent goes up regardless. Three months passed we were getting ready to move out and we found out they wanted us to pay for months we were not going to be living there, after we moved out when our three months were up. An extra 2,000$+ because they said we should have turned in another notice otherwise they will automatically renew you instead of looking for new tenants to fill the spot when we said and turned in papers renewing for only 3 months which is still a 90 day notice and they only gave us 14 days to pay it. Its a cheat, easy way for them to gain extra money through tenants. We also had multiple problems with our apartment. Closet doors werent properly measured so you couldnt even open them, our fuse box caught on fire once, we had to exterminate for bugs coming in the windows in one of the bedrooms. Nice apartment complex, loved the maintenance guys, Alexis was wonderful and helped us so much, but I felt the management staff cared more about the money than the tenants.
These have gone down hill since new management has taken over. You are nothing more than a unit number. Has turned into a nightmare living here. There are plenty of other properties to choose from in the area.
This place is by far the worst apartment I’ve lived in! A lot of things they need to remodel the kitchen & the weight room very dirty and getto! The pool is small and always packed we weren’t able to swim during the summer because of all the bees around the pool! The walls are very thin you can hear your neighbors especially if you live on the first floor. Also no computer rooms!
******SONORAN APARTMENTS 48TH AND RAY RD******* BEWAREThe Sonoran Apartments changed management companies (from a good team to a bunch of rogues) around the first of the year 2019. Before original management team left they issued me a refund for over payment of my rent. When the new team came in they claimed I was behind rent payments for several months and charged me twice the refund that the previous managers had given me. Then my rent amount increased exponentially. I moved into Sonoran in June of 2018 with a $200.00 security deposit. My lease was over in June 2019 and I gave notice of intent to vacate notice well within the alotted time. I was charged $455.00 for June 1st to June 11th. I read and re-read the lease agreement to make sure everything was clean and in order. I took video. I do not smoke nor did I allow anyone to smoke in my apartment. My apartment was a one bedroom 1st floor I often kept the patio door open in the spring. I vacated the Apt on May 31, clean!!I waited two weeks for them to do a final walk thru. Now they say I owe more. They say that there was a smell of cigarettes in the apartment and the carpet needed to be replaced. The only carpet in the apartment was in the bedroom, I lived alone and only slept on one side of my bed I got in on that side and out on that side because bedroom furniture took up the rest of the bedroom. In the year I was there I only had to empty my vacuum cannister a few times. No shoes passed my front door. Those have always been my house rules. These people are beyond predators they are THIEVES.BEWARE OF SONORAN APARTMENTS ON 48TH and RAY.
Not sure if it is because I loved the layout and look so much of the apartment or if its because the staff is so incredibly kind and helpful, but this was my favorite apartment community. I lived here for 14 months. The only complaint I have is about the pipes. Showers, toilets and faucets were pretty loud, wish there was more insulation or something to muffle the noises.Maintenance was very prompt, polite and fixed any problem I had.Their website made it easy to pay for rent online and make maintenence requests. The grounds were pretty clean, although living on the first floor was a pain because leaves would be blown onto my freshly swept patio...but Im just being nitpicky.Overall, great experience here. 2 bedroom/2 bath was about $1,030 each month, including water, trash and pet fee. Also, no issue with pests. As Ive read from previous reviews. My unit was clean!
The apartments aren’t bad and the area and surrounding schools are amazing. However most of the new staff is rude and apathetic, with exception of the maintenance staff they are solid for the most part. I’ve made at least 6 complaints about the neighbors upstairs being disruptive and unnecessarily loud with the new staff. Needless to say nothing has been done. We have young kids and understand living downstairs you’re going to hear noise from upstairs even more so with the vinyl wood floors. Since it’s after 7am the office does nothing and have given them a free pass to be as loud as they want regardless of the disruption it causes to my spouse who works nights or our newborn who can’t sleep in our room anymore because the noise wakes him up. I called and spoke to them for the last time the girl asked me if “I saw them jumping off furniture”. I knew from that point on working through this office staff was a losing battle. They don’t even call you back when you leave a message. All these reviews of how rude and unpleasant this staff is true after you move in you see how they really treat you. I’m sure this review will get the same response “We hope you will give us the opportunity to learn more about your experience so we may work toward a resolution”. Maybe undercover boss will film what it’s like to deal with the staff and make some changes becuase *Spoiler alert* nothing ever changes for the residents and their issues...for 1300+ /Mo. to be completely blown off and not be truly heard or accommodated in anyway I’d strongly consider all options before moving in 🤷♂️
We really liked it. we are living here, however we dont like to charge $25 for trash every month. it is real more good if apartment company take away that charge or make it optional.
Property nickels and dimes with unnecessary charges such as $25/mo. for “trash valet”. Units have been remodeled, but old windows are in place that aren’t insulated causing both extremely high electric bills and you will heat all outside noises. Also, parking is a nightmare. There are few unassigned parking spots, and people frequently park in assigned spaces that belong to residents.
After calling Sonoran Apts “home” for approximately 8 years... leaving after 6 years to relocate then coming back because my family absolutely loved and missed all the staff (including maintenance) they always made you feel like family, always smiling and waving and would go out their way to say hello. Upon recently getting bought out, I gladly put my 2 month notice in this month.. Entire community has gone down hill as prices have gone up. Except for Carla in the leasing office staff, especially management is not only unprofessional but unfriendly. Lexi is the only maintenance I will allow in my apartment and the subcontractors are subpar at best. It no longer has the Ahwatukee vibe. Sad that I’m actually excited to move.
All the 1 2 stars are correct I moved in June 14 2017 I have pictures and videos of all kinds of insects like beedles roaches ants we have a picture of ants eating a roach. Greystar said I could move out but they are gone sold now new company will not keep the agreement even thought they have the email from geeystar saying I can get out of my lease I already got approved at another community. Also I pay 1795 3 bedroom 2 bath 1204 sqft I also had a tub problem in both tubs had to leave for 4 days no money back paid same rent they do not care here also rats in shed.
Many bugs with stingers will get in your apartment, and they say they will come and spray but they never do
Good Quality Apartment, with waive choice of deposit fee.Acceptable price for 2b2b floorplan.Pleasant Customer Service.
I truly miss Greystar and Kailyn Bell property manager. I have lived here 3 years and never had an issue of any kind until MGProperties Group purchased Sonoran. My roommate put her 60 day notice in to move sometime in February, the deadline for me to sign a new lease is on March 15th. Though my roommate put her notice in, the leasing office processed it as both of us moving out. I go into the leasing office, speak with Vanessa (who processed my roommates notice), provided her my income information, filled out the roommate release form to release my roommate from the lease and she states she will contact the new tenants to attempt to accommodate them in another apartment and if unsuccessful I would have to move.My roommates goes to the leasing office later that afternoon to sign the roommate release form and speaks to another lady (I have no clue what her name is) but she said no because it’s already been rented. They have now leased my apartment to new tenants, stated it’s being remodeled and I have to move. I myself never signed a move out notice, if there was a question I should have been contacted by them to verify my future plans. Two people on the lease but a notice was given with only one signature...hmmmm I was told I’d be contacted the next day and it’s 5 days later. I called yesterday and spoke with Vanessa, she was very snarky and snappy with me, “Our lawyer is reviewing, we will contact you.” So very unprofessional. While in the office discussing the matter and after the fact the property manager Corina Arana never stepped out of her office to resolve. Poor customer service, poor management, not a care for their current tenants. Never owned the mistake nor took responsibility to make things right.
SEVEN persons living in ONE unit. Gross!! Read azfamily dot coms story on Man stabbed in Phoenix apartment filled with children Feb 23rd, 2018. Why are all the 5 star reviews here look as if professionally written, and with persons with foreign names? A) Either that person does not exist/is a paid 3rd world call center/review writer, or B) refugees have their social workers fill out (prefilled) review forms FOR them. This tells me this company gets govt/agency money for filling up units with refugees.
When I first moved in I thought that I can look at the apartment see how it is before I sign the contract but they didnt let me all I know is I got about eight more months theres a family it have a little one I cant sleep I hear the little one run back and forth from 4 in the morning Ill wait till 6 and then from 9 I cant get no sleep I can hear the baby cry I can hear the toilet its just terrible his place is overpriced

Ever since Mg Properties took over it’s been a Complete nightmare. When my family and I walk in the leasing office you are not greeted until you stand there for about 5mins. One of the guys in there (I don’t know his name) act like he knows what he is doing (but you can tell he doesn’t) and pass you off to another person to deal with you ! I feel so uncomfortable to even go in there to see if I have a package there.. they are not welcoming like Greystar was at all! Mg properties are very rude .. I hate even having to put a maintenance order in.. I’ve been living here since July 2017 and haven’t had a bad experience until Mg properties came along a couple months ago.. IM READY TO MOVE!! July can’t come fast enough!!! They don’t even deserve 1 star..
Terrible since MG Properties took over. I miss greystar. Multiple residents got their cars towed when they shouldnt have and management doesnt want to deal with it. Would not recommend these apartments.
The Sonoran Apartments I would consider well thought-out quality apartments. They are fancy in the areas that it matters.Building: The building design is such that my front-porch actually feels like MY front-porch. With private staircase and a wall area, it makes me want to put a welcome mat.Apt layout: The inside of the apartment stepped away from the traditional layout, and with the space of my 2 bedroom they arranged it such that I actually feel a separation of the kitchen, dining area, and living room which is a rarity. The square footage could be improved, but the size is pretty comfortable, aside from the second bedroom which could barely fit a full-sized mattress (i made it an office so it doesnt make too much of a difference).Appliances: Appliances all seem cheap-modern meaning they look nice but are definitely not breaking anyones bank. Think fake rustic style. For the surprising modern/classy vibe of the apartment, they went with super cheap metal horizontal blinds. In fact the blinds on the patio door still have the pull cord to rise up, even though thats not possible and I imagine some other apartment has had some kid pull on it and break it. Washer/dryer are very modern and full-sized, which I wasnt used to in apartments and my clothes felt like they were gonna burst into flames when I pulled them out of the dryer. A++ on that.Bathroom: Shower/tub could definitely use a revamp, as its the same crummy showerhead and knobs that my cheap apartment in Tempe had. The bathtub in the master has a cool modern-looking curtain rod that swings out into the room in a curve, but the tub size itself is way too small for an average adult. The water level goes to about just below comfortable. Commode is a bit short in both master and guest, but reasonably cheap-modern, it flushes so it does the job. The master has a counter the length that a child could sleep on. Only a single faucet with all that room, but it works for me being a single dude. The rooms: Closets are alright, but the lack of actual shelves and odd-height of the hanger in the second bedroom means you definitely need a dresser. The paint color and carpet are a great neutral soft-brown that works well for decorations and furniture. The master bedroom overlooks the patio and has the perfect amount of indirect sunlight throughout the day. There are even screens on all of the windows allowing you to keep them open and the bugs out.Living/dining/kitchen: The kitchen is equipped with fairly modern appliances and cabinetry. Plenty of cabinet and counter space. The faucet (in fact all of the faucets/shower/etc) in the apartment rattles like a demon is escaping when put on high. Great fridge location against a wall that separates the living/dining/kitchen areas. The dining area feels like a real dining area which is nice for once. Living area has great view of the front door and patio door, and is designed for great home feeling. All areas have what I assume is real hardwood flooring that is neutral enough that it shouldnt clash with your furniture.Final thoughts: The staff were absolutely my favorite part of this process, the facilities and the lazy-person daily trash removal is great, the attempt at keeping modern is wonderful, and the ease of everything makes it a great apartment to live in. You can tell the apartments were older by certain things like the closet shelving, old coax jacks, and base-moulding, but they have modernized the rest EXTREMELY well. The community seems friendly, its always quiet, and the location has a ton to offer. Can see myself sticking around for quite a while.
I have lived in Sonoran for over 2 years and in my honest opinion it has had its ups and downs. The staff overall is generally very friendly. However, at times there is a little bit of reluctance on their behalf to help resolve issues which can be frustrating at times. Maintenance is also very polite despite not always fixing stuff right the first time. As far as noise goes, the people above still make a considerable amount of noise as they have for the past 2 years but I have learned to tune it out, after all it is an apartment. The grounds are pretty well kept especially considering all of the construction going on.
Worst place ever to live. My partner and I stayed in our apartment for 14 months we had countless of maintenance request, every time we were told it wasnt an emergency, and basically they would just get around to it. I had to raise hell to get my request completed.I paid my rent on time every month when I moved out I completed a final walk through and was told oh yes everything is fine. Come to find out I receive a final bill for cleaning of carpets, holes in walls that were patched up and no visible holes as well as being charged for a countertop to be resurfaced. All things that a complex should do anyways before you move in. I shouldnt have to pay for the carpet to be cleaned. There were no holes visible when I moved out. When they did the final walk through they told me everything was fine. When I turned in my keys I was told everything looked fine in your apartment would you like to stay for a final walk throug. I guess I shouldve bc I have a $200.00 bill for nothing. Not to mention the office is horrible to deal with as well. Full of attitude and condescending. If you look at all the comments you will see unhappy tenants who moved out and was wrongfully charged for all kinds of things. Followed by rude comments from the office about how its the tenants fault. My car was towed after parking in handicap bc there werent any parking close to me. If you have more than one vehicle forget parking close to your home or finding parking in general. There were many nights I had to walk halfway around the complex bc there is no available parking anywhere on the complex.I honestly will ask you not to rent from Sonoran apartment please dont waste your time.
Worst place ever take our advice and think twice before renting their over priced cheaply done apartments..the only thing that was half way decent was one of their maintenance men. From move in i knew we made a bad choice..Go onto property management Greystars Web site and Google reviews if i would have read those i never would have rented any place from that company. They are crooks and set you up to fail you will never get your deposit back one example is excessive dirt on walls isnt normal wear which I get but next it says it is not normal wear if the paint is chipped or worn off walls...well they use cheap paint and from the first time I washed the walls with a rag the paint started to peel and chip off then they charged me for painting because of excessive dirt i washed the walls and you woulda had to repaint with your cheap paint anyways everything was a lie and now we owe them they said excessive dirty carpets no i had hard wood and area rugs in the bedrooms where there was carpet..i had left stuff in my apartment that I was suppose to get back maintenance and his friends went thru and took whatever they wanted including my neighbor who took what she could and returned it to me they took my childrens beds. In October my car was stolen so no its not a safe community and calling security for any problems the guy makes you feel like your an inconvenience..a upstairs neighbors was always loud and there was tension i had called security one night the next day im confronted and threatened by that neighbor i complained to management nothing was ever done. These people will go into full investigation mode when there is paint on a fence but when my daughter was threatened by a grown man who lived by us and she is 11 nothing was done. I could write a book about how they will do you wrong and everything that was done and not done. Just take our advice nothing from Greystars they are nothing but crooks that will ruin your credit.
Great place to live
The staff that run these overly priced apartments will not only lie to you they will cheat you out of your deposit!! We left the place clean, in thier statemnet they stste they had to fill over 30 holes in wall, which was a COMPLETE LIE, they have small little taxes that they deduct, we even stema cleaned the rug yet we got a charge for steam cleaning, we ended up haveing to pay them. BEWARE they are shisters, ceats and thieves AVOID AT ALL COST. we are getting reading to file an official compliant against them. DO NOT RENT DO NOT RENT!!!!!!!!
When will the vending machines be refilled?
This is the worst apartment complex I have ever lived in. The management is terrible. Do yourself a favor and live elsewhere.
Everything seems to me very well the facilities, very clean and if the departments are recommended, I would only suggest more security since this week my car was stolen out of this everything is very comfortable.
