This nail salon gave me one of the best experiences that I have had with a nail salon in Philly. My appointment started on time and everyone was extremely nice not to mention, my nail tech did an amazing job with the shaping of my full set as well as the design. You do not feel rushed whatsoever and they do an excellent job following COVID procedures. Worth every penny. Will definitely be returning.

The shape of my nails are nice but they are under staffed. I scuffed my nailAnd they asked me to wait to help but I ended up ignored. I fixed it myself and left. I got served well enough. I work down the street and just wanted to try it. I wont make it habit.

I started going to Twinkle a few months ago after I saw Linda’s work on Instagram. She is so sweet and genuinely does the best nails. No matter what you ask for or show her, she does exactly what you want and she’s also insanely fast. I’m always in and out in an hour. I honestly love going to my appointments because of the atmosphere and friendliness she provides. The way the new owners are treating their nail techs who have been there for 5 years is beyond unacceptable. Not only did they fire their best workers out of pure jealousy, they’re not even informing the clients and also lying about where the nail techs are. I will never give my business to people who treat their employees this way.

This pains me to write this review. I have been patronizing Twinkle Nails for about two years now. On Monday 2/22, I called to schedule my biweekly refill with Van. To my surprise they let me know that she was fired. I then asked for Vicky the previous owner, later to find out she no longer worked there either. I then asked for Linda, who is also very good. The lady then told me she would be out the building. I was forced to settle for the new owner Wandy. I was desperate!I came to my appointment at 10am on 2/25 and the salon was completely empty. I sit in the first chair and immediately felt uncomfortable. I explained that I needed two nails repaired, and I DO NOT like my nails too thick. She started my refill and everything seems fine. Van knows I typically rotate the same opi nail colors, so I choose one of my go-to colors 197. She starts shaping my nails horribly. In the new year I started rocking tapered square, and Van perfected it. Each nail looked like a different shape by the time she was done. She started painting the nails and it look completely uneven and THICK!!I told her they were not to my standards. I paid and left. I sat in my car for a total of three minutes and I realized I could no longer walk around like this. I go back into the salon and just ask is she could change the polish. She refused to! I did not ask for a refund,I asked her to fix the problem, and she did not. Needless to say I will no longer return to Twinkle Nails!

I had been going here for a year and had nothing but amazing experiences with Linda. Too bad the new management decided to get rid of all of their amazing nail technicians. Do not expect to get your nails done to top quality at this place. Not to mention that they did increase their prices, which i understand is due to the pandemic, but it is extremely unreasonable now. It is so sad that the place has gone downhill since the new owners took over.

This was my favorite nail salon, but they recently changed owners and unjustly fired all the good and talented employees. I used to recommend this salon to anyone who asked where I got my nails done, but now that they fired the employees that do such an amazing job, I wouldn’t recommend anyone to go there.

They have new owners and did not inform anyone that our nail techs were no longer there. Their acrylic job’s are also not good. Since all the good and professional nail techs were let go I dont see myself coming back. My friend go her nails done and the second is what the new owners did. She didnt ask for a set of teeth she asked for ombre. One of the nail techs, Vicky, who was also let go fixed it at the time which is the picture on the left.

This place was amazing when I first started going there in July. I was steady going to Linda (by far the best nail tech in Philly) for months. Her and her staff were so professional, clean and friendly. I loved the whole atmosphere. Then about a month ago they sold the business, and the whole demeanor changed. They FIRED an employee whos been there for years, and then fired MY GIRL Linda a couple days later. They wiped out the original staff, all the talented emoloyees. Avoid this place like the plague. How dare they fire people during a PANDEMIC! Shame on you!!!!

So this used to be the only place i would go to get my nails done! Ive been going there for about 3-4yrs now and they recently changed owners which is fine but then they go and fire their employees, mind you the ones who brought them all of their customers! Jealousy much? I called to make my usual appointment to be told that the girl I used to go to, Van, was not available and not there. When I asked where she went they quickly shut me up and asked if I wanted to go with someone else. Did they not think I was able to contact one of their other employees to see what was going on? Jokes on you sis. Its ashame because these new owners have no idea how to even do nails and lost a lot of customers because they decided to be spiteful and fire their nail techs that actually knew what they are doing. Do NOT waste your time at this salon.

Not even a day went buy after getting a full set with gel nail and pedicure did my polish start chipping. My nails were big and bulky. Just a mess. I usually go to Vicky but she’s out of town so they had Wandy do my nails. She’s nice but her talent is not. I’m VERY upset with how many times she had to go in and fix it and the overall outcome. I should’ve known just sitting in her chair that I wouldn’t like the outcome.

My sisters went there today and found out they are under new management, her nails were horrendous !!! And they raised the prices, they will NOT be going back. How could you fire great nail technicians for people that don’t know what they are doing ! Hope you loose a lot of money

The ONLY reason why I came to Twinkle Nails and Spa was because of Linda. The reason i found her because of the google reviews and the instagram that SHE made. It is very unprofessional the way they fired the ONLY two amazing employees that knew what they were doing. Go here if you want your nails to look like chewed up bubble gum.

All the good techs are gone. Nails are lumpy and uneven. So disappointed.

I checked THREE separate nail salons in the area to see if I could get a colored ombre. Finally i checked in with these guys and lo and behold, they could! I’m supper happy with the service that I received, especially because i had made some weird requests. I’ll definitely be returning

I have been looking for a good nail salon for a while now. I came across this place because its closer to my house and I had never been here before. Im SO happy Ive finally found a place that can do my nails without them chipping within a week, I got them done 5 days ago and they still look fresh as ever(pic taken today). I work with cell phones so my nails take a lot of hits but not this time. I am so so satisfied and will be a regular from now on!

Do not go here! So, the new owners, Wandy and David, fired Van and Linda, who built the store from the ground up with their skills, marketing, clientele and etc. One of the reasons they were fired was because they are better at doing nails and have more loyal clients that go there often. When Wandy messed up a client’s nails, Van or Linda would fix or redo their nails. This made the owners feel some type of way and threatened about the workers and they decided to find any petty reason for an excuse to fire them (without severance pay!). After firing the two, the owners did not notify the clients, who were already booked with these technicians, that they no longer work there. Instead, they would use their names to continue to pull in the loyal clients that have been going there for years just to lie to them by either saying the techs just stepped out or are on vacation.P.S. David is a POS and can catch these hands🤌🏻

I’ve been going to this salon since the day they opened their doors. Recently they switched owners which I had no knowledge of, I had my regularly scheduled appointment with van.. I was sat with the “new owner” Wandy or whoever who messed up my refill almost beyond fixable. I asked for a tapered square (which ive been getting for a while now) and ombré I even showed a picture of exactly how i wanted it because I had a feeling something would go wrong. She filed them to a half done coffin shape then asked me if I liked it. I told her no and then I was told she can’t do anything to fix it. Once she applied the acrylic color, she didn’t even attempt an ombre, she just filled the grown out part so only a small part of my nail was pink the rest was all white. When I told her it wasn’t suppose to look like that and showed her the picture again she told me she can’t do it like an actual ombré because it was a refill and not a fresh set. I then learned that she was trying to overcharge me to drive me out. Long story short, don’t even waste your time. Please spend your money else where!!!

I had an appointment with @nailsbylinny owner never told me she fired her with no cause. I was there and they messed my nails up. Horrible unprofessional place 🤦🏽‍♀️ I will never go here again !! I do not recommend this spa !

Steer away. This place was so good until they got rid of all the good people! This place is going downhill and the set i got was so bad and over priced for what I got.. Probably never coming here again. You can tell the quality change. The picture on the right was by the (new) owner and the picture on the left was fixed by Vicky but sadly she is no longer here. This was my favorite nail salon, Im sad to see it go down like this.

New Review: After many years of coming here, the salon is finally under NEW Management. They fired Linda and another Van, one of her co-workers for absolutely no reason. This salon is disgusting and doesn’t deserve a single penny. They are lying to clients and sending out confirmation texts to appointments saying Linda and Van are their nail techs only for Wandy to mess up their nails!! Highly unprofessional to lie to their clients as well and say either they quit, or stepped out for a minute, don’t work that specific day anymore, or whatever other lies they are feeding people. Horrible place. It was my first time going here today & I am beyond pleased! First thing you notice upon walking in is no chemical smells - very clean facility. The staff is AMAZING! Super helpful, very friendly and kind - and the best part is they take their time. At other salons I always felt rushed, but at Twinkle they make you feel special. I am extremely pleased with the service, and I LOVE my nails! Vicky did my pedicure & Van did my acrylic nails - both were great!! I already can’t wait to go back in a couple weeks. They make you feel so at home & the quality of work is amazing. So glad I found Twinkle :)

GO SEE LINDA AT LUXE NAILS IN NOTHERN LIBERTIEStwinkle was recommended to me by a coworker. i will never go anywhere else! they are professional, clean, and take proper covid procedures such as taking your temperature when you arrive and wiping down the chairs and protective guards on the station between each client. everyone wears their mask properly too which is a plus :) aside from that, they do the best work i’ve had in philly for extremely affordable prices. i highly recommend linda and vicky. their creativity and precision is unlike any other! do yourself a favor and make an appointment today

I only went to get a color change, they made my nails weak all because they shaved a layer of my nails.....Did not like the rush. They didnt give my nails a chance to dry before leaving but was very quick with collecting the money

I am extremely picky about my nails and I am a hair stylist so my nails are always in water and around chemicals so they tend to lift and chip very fast. I have been to countless nail salons around me trying to find someone who could do my nails where they looked nice and actually lasted, with no luck. I have now been seeing Vicky at twinkle and she is the absolute BEST all around. She perfects every shape and mimics any picture I show her perfectly. I never have a problem with lifting or anything when she does my nails. I will never go to anyone else again. Everyone asks me where I get my nails done and I highly recommend her.Side note: my hands look like muscular working hands and she makes them look like girl hands somehow.🤣 Also, the management is very good and I’ve seen them handle issues with other guests very well. They will make sure you are happy. If your thinking about going here definitely make an appointment with Vicky!

I just went here today for the first time and I absolutely love my nails! This is my new favorite spot. Linda is amazing and did my nails exactly how I wanted. The staff is so friendly and the salon is very neat and clean.

This place was amazing. I have very high standards because I used to manage a nail spa and know the inner workings of the industry, the rules, and the laws. This was one of the most clean and realistically friendly nail spots Ive been to. Very sanitary, very efficient, friendly but not in a fake way. And I got a surprise %20 off of my long relaxing very well done pedicure! I didnt feel rushed in any way and though my feet were in bad shape from months of not being able to get a pedicure the tech didnt bat a lash... just got to work and didnt seem annoyed or make a comment or anything. As you can see I cant say enough good about this place. I hope they are very successful and I will be returning and bringing my husband and mom!

I love this place, its my goto spot. Always clean, friendly and never a long wait. My nails always look great and somehow theyve even managed to make it look like I have human feet and not cloven hooves.

This place is literally the worse place I have ever been to I got my nails done here wanted a pedicure and sns on my real nails. The nail tech barely spokeEnglish cut all my real nails after I told her notTo! So I was forced to get tips. They were all crooked and I asked a million times for them to be fixed I spend 4 1/2 hours total. The nail technician did a horrible job and my nails were peeled by the next morning!!! I had to work and I couldnt go back that Saturday then they were closed Sunday I showed up on my birthday that Monday morning at 9:30 am the woman told me they were never done properly and that they needed to be taken off and redone and claims they dont know who the girl was that she just started. So I get them done by Vicky totaling 6 hours of my time at this point. So Tuesday I see they are cracking I go back they re dip those few to make them stronger 40 mins of more wasted time. Later that day those two nails broke. I glued them back myself until I can was able to go back on Thursday morning. I showed up 9:30am on Thursday to be told I cant help you come back to speak to the owner in the afternoon. So I came back and the owner tells me its not my problem your waisting your time, your not getting your money back so leave!!! Im believable the worse service I have ever had never again in my life thisPlace should be SHUT DOWN!

I like this new nail salon! Closer to my house, awesome staff, clean, great service, very fast! They have 5Xs as many Gel colors than my last nail salon. I would come even if they werent offering 20% off services, their prices are very reasonable!

They were lovely! Took their time and made sure I was happy with everything about my nails. They have like 500 OPI colors & Im in love with the nudeish fall color I found. They made my brows look amazing as well. Id definitely go back & recommend.
