I cannot imagine going anywhere other than Modish. From the professional staff to the amazing service, I am always leaving so relaxed and satisfied! The pictures do not do it justice. There is a reason that they are always booked with appointments (because the service is that great!). I have my specific nail technician that I go to and I will not go to anyone else! My dip powder can last 4 weeks which is amazing!! I am constantly receiving compliments on my pedicure designs. I would be so lost without Modish Nails.

From start to finish, the entire experience I had at Modish nails was probably THE best experience I’ve ever had at a nail salon. When I first stepped in, they had me sign in and then offered me complimentary drinks (water, beer, wine) and then promptly directed me to a seat where I chose the color of my nails. Throughout this entire process, the owner had taken care of me and my friend the entire time, and I noticed she did that for everyone else in the salon as well. I had a very bad experience at a different salon, and coming here made up for it and more. They are professional, caring, and fairly priced (probably the lowest I’ve seen for a gel manicure anywhere remotely near me). If you’re hesitant about coming here, please don’t! I can promise you, you will NOT regret it!

I’ve been coming here for a year or so and it was a wonderful experience until my last visits. The owner was very rude to me on the phone and dismissed me about my nail repair. I had been there the day before and had an overlay with gel and it chipped. Call and he was very rude said he was busy and oh well he couldn’t help me. Meanwhile, I had just spent $80 and you can’t help me! Wow! Poor consumer service! Tried to book online on Sunday and got a cancellation Friday before what I thought was my online appointment for Saturday.

Inconsistent prices, poor customer service, sloppy dip powder. Manager keeps his mask down, is rude to his employees and customers. I was a regular customer here since March and had great service up until my last two visits. With so many other nail salons in the area, no reason to continue put up with this place.

I really use to love this place but their service has started to go down hill. such a waste of money. the price of services need to match the quality of what you receive. the last few times i had an appointment they did not start until 15-25 minutes after the time scheduled, just as someone in another review said. the woman Linda completely rushed my services and was so rough on my nails it was actually uncomfortable and painful. she glued the tips onto my nails and began cutting them so quickly i didnt even have time to say how long i wanted them. she just did them how SHE wanted, not me. my nails are all uneven and not the shape i asked for, they are not the length i wanted because she cut without asking me, and my feet do not even look good because she hardly did a pedicure (no exfoliating, no lotion, nothing) i couldve just done everything myself. my nails always use to look great but recently they begin to lift/break within a week.

Called 5 times on different days, they never answered or it went straight to voicemail. So I booked online and 4 days later, a day before my appointment, they said they were not available at that time and did not offer another time. Three stars because I have not actually used their services - I wanted to though!

A girlfriend introduced me to this place. It is very clean, the staff are very courteous, and it is never loud. I got exactly what I asked for, and was offered a glass of wine as well. Made an appointment, showed up on time and my appointment was ready. I will be booking again!

I didn’t have appointment but they squeeze me in and I wasn’t rushed. My toes look really nice and my nails was really clean and smoothSo fast forward i went back yesterday and i was not happy at all. I thought i found a new nailSalon. The girl i had yesterday rush me out the door. I ask for a gel manicure and pedicure. Pedicure was ok (just ok) but i get my feet and nails done just about every other week so i know my feet and nails don’t be that bad but still don’t skip steps. The gel manicure was horrible i have cuts on my cuticles. A manicure you have to use cuticle cream or whatever to push them back and she cut to deep. She didn’t even give me a bowl with water for my manicure and i even said something to her about it she said this is another wayThey do it. And then filed my nails after the gel polish was done and dried. It was just a mess. My poor little fingers are so raw right now. Bright side is i don’t have to work. Begin as though I have a hair salon and my fingers are always in water i would be in trouble but I’m off a few days so I’m good. Another reason why when it comes to a manicure i know how it should be done !

They have really disappointed me. The past two times I have made an appointment (both times days in advance), they do not take me until 15+ minutes AFTER my appointment time. This is an unacceptable business practice to me, but you make your own choice on whether or not you can tolerate this… just making you aware.

I just moved back into the area and tried out this nail salon. Got my nails done with dip powder and three of my nails cracked within a week. I went back to get my nails fixed and the manager was incredibly rude. He is rude to both customers and his employees. Even more infuriating, after I got them fixed one cracked again as soon as I got home. I definitely will not be coming back.

I recently switched to Modish after having many experiences with my gel peeling off super quickly at other salons. I’ve been to multiple different nail techs here and they’re all friendly, professional and can really do any design you want. Fair prices too!

By far the absolute best Nail salon in Philadelphia!! The staff is highly skilled and the place is BEAUTIFUL. I was lounging in the massage chair getting the best pedicure and deep foot massage. I would recommend this place time and time again. I am not one to take the time to write a review but this place was just that good! The Owner is also incredible to talk to and very personable! I had an appointment at 2:15 and my service did not begin until 3p. So be weary if you are on time constraints. However they did rectify by giving me a discount. That’s not why they received 3 stars. The actual just of the nail tech was sloppy and rushed. I had to guide her through smoothing the sides of my nails. (I was very polite and she still seemed annoyed). After they looked better but if you look closely they’re very uneven. If you’re someone that’s particular about you sets, this may not be the place for you. The pedicure was nice but I paid for a deluxe pedicure and was given a basic pedicure. My feet were not scrubbed nor were they massaged. There’s no real difference so just stick with the regular “spa” pedicure.

I always get dip and a pedicure with Jenn. She is my absolute favorite and does an amazing job. The salon is always clean and well kept. Best salon around.

I go to Holly every 3 weeks for a jelly deluxe pedicure. Shes fabulous and place is large enough that you can really spread out and relax. Theres a few levels of pedicures. Jelly deluxe is extra special treat 😋

Great professional service and atmosphere. My nails and toes are always clean, neat and healthy. They use quality products and the techs are experienced. I tried a few places around Manayunk/Roxborough and couldn’t find a place I liked. I finally tried Modish Nails and haven’t looked back once! I’ve been going here about 8 months now and request Jenna every time, because she is awesome with acrylics. Prices are so fair as well!! 10/10

Came here once had a great service. But a lil pricey.

Booked an appointment several days in advance. Got here on time and the gentleman in the front said they were over 45 minutes behind. When I asked why he did not give me a call he was a little rude saying that they had a full house and would not have bothered. Very disappointed.

I’ve never had a bad manicure here, and ever since I discovered this place a year ago I cannot go anywhere else. The prices are worth it. It’s a fun atmosphere, and they’ll give you a complimentary beverage (wine, etc.) while you get your nails done. I def recommend to make an appt bc it can get busy.

I went for the first time around Christmas so it was SUPER busy. I had an appointment and had to wait about 10 minutes, but again they were busy, so it was understandable. The lady who did my nails was so sweet and kind and did a great job with my gel manicure. There so SO many colors to choose from (Id probably need an appointment time just to pick a color! lol) HOWEVER. My one complaint is my gel manicure started lifting/peeling after a week.. which was so disappointing. Im going back though because everyone was so nice and I loved the color selection. Its worth another shot :)

I got my nails done 8 days later 6 nails 💅 was off my hand. I went back and got them fixed for free. Also they was trying to act like I didnt go there to get them done. I dont think thats right when they took my name to sign me in for my appointment. 2 days later 3 nails was off my hand. I will not be going back!

This was my first time at Modish and I must say it was quite disappointing. I wish I had just made the trip downtown to my usual place. I would have rather paid $57 in parking than for the mani/pedi I got today.1). I scheduled a 10AM appt but wasn’t serviced until 10:30AM. No apologies for the long wait and was told to sit in the chair and someone would be with me because they were short staffed. A random guy asked if I was being helped but then he said “oh she’s in charge” but was nice enough to at least run my pedi water for me to soak while I waited. Thank you for that!2). Tech was nice but she lacked attention to detail. A LOT of imperfections on mani AND pedi: bubbling/ unevenly distributed paint, debris left on the nail which left protrusions in the paint job and unclean cuticle lines. Rough nail edges that weren’t properly smoothed after filing left unclean finishes around the nail.Also, since there are no drying fans, I noticed that all the other customers around me received manual fanning to dry their nails, I did not. My tech simply walked away and never came back to check on me, to say thank you or to say goodbye. Seriously? The customer service needs some work.I optimistically booked two appts this month because the slots fill pretty quickly but I will be cancelling the second and not returning. Location is convenience but service is more important to me. Thanks but no thanks.

I have been going to this salon for a while now and I unfortunately had to find another salon because the the prices have gotten higher and the service has gotten worse. every time I come in I have to wait 30+ minutes when I have an appointment they have no table ready for me ever the girls are rough if you need to go to anyone go to Kim and the prices are all over the place they will charge you whatever they want I get the same thing every time and I get charged a different price every time.In my opinion it’s not worth it if you care about the atmosphere and how you were treated in a salon but if you’re just looking for a quick nail touch up the salons fine

The service was horrible. Very very rushed and my gel manicure chipped in one day. I don’t even think it was properly dried before she made me get up and pay and it dried cloudy and smeared. I’ve also heard them make fun of other customers and make comments about the “small ring” that one lady was wearing and giggling and making jokes. Completely rude and unprofessional. Not to mention the overbearing man at the front desk. I will never go back.

It was my first time going to this salon and I enjoyed every minute of the experience! Everyone was attentive, the beverage was delicious and my nail technician, Lee did an amazing job. I got almond shaped full set with the cat eye effect, the deluxe pedicure and my eyebrows waxed. She took her time, listened to what I asked for, offer better recommendations and asked me questions that I really appreciated. The place is spotless and organized. I’ll definitely be going there again.

Decided to get a pedicure during my lunch break today. They took me right away. Water temperature was perfect the moment I out my feet in! (No waiting for it to warm up or asking them to add hot water). I bought my own polish as is my practice, but they had great selections, so I added a sparkle to my own. Foot Massage that came with the service was very good! I got back to work on time to finish my day!

I am not going to complain about my nail salon search, since moving to Philadelphia a couple of months ago. But, I am happy to announce that it is over now!! The weirdest experience happened to have me search last minute on Yelp for a new place, but I read about Mia and Ubered out there!Mia did my dip powder for me, shaped beautifully into almond shape, like I love. It was clean, perfect, and shiny. She was meticulous, but fast. I will only be going to her from now on! The color selection is great! The salon is clean and bright!And Tara, the lady is charge, was very welcoming. She was singing while sweeping, and I sang along with her!

Moved to Roxborough a few months ago and I cannot express how happy I was to find this salon, even better than my one back home. All the employees are super nice and helpful. Recommend to every guy and gal to go here!

The two visits were great. I was offered a beverage. The techs were friendly. The 3rd was horrible. The tech rushed through the whole thing and didnt offer me a drink. My nails dont look great. I was charged five dollars extra for them to take off chipped gel nail polish on five of my fingers. She never told me it was extra. My bill was 30.00 dollars.

Its a shame because the place was great & the staff was super friendly. Ive been getting gel manis for 6 months every 2-3 weeks...this was a first. 2 days later & one nail completely peeled off. The others are already starting to chip at the top as well. Ive never had this issue before.

I stopped in today to get my eyebrows done because I happened to be shopping in the same area. This was my first and last time going here.The receptionist was nice and when I said I was there for my eyebrows she told me it would be about twenty minutes. I could see they were busy so this didnt bother me.When I was called back, the girl that did my eyes seemed nice enough and I was impressed that it was less painful than normal. She worked really fast and then held up a fingerprint covered/smudged mirror. It was hard to see so I thought they looked even.As I was driving home, my eye started to inch. I pulled over and opened my mirror. There were TWO eyelashes in my eye, actually in my eye. After I carefully got them out, my eye felt better but thats when I noticed in the mirror all the small hairs still at the middle of my nose. Her mirror was so dirty that I didnt notice she missed so much with the wax.I dont really blame her for the eyelashes in my eye because she did wipe my brows after waxing like they normally do but needing to pluck when I got home... What was the point of the wax?

My first visit was great! Excellent nail tech and my nails looked perfect! My second visit was drastically different. My tech was no longer working there and 2 different techs did my nails. One did my pedicure and 1 did my refill. Not very efficient. My nails looked ok but were not perfect. I was charged $25.00 more than at my first visit!! When I questioned this I was given an attitude. Fortunately there are plenty of other options in the area.

I love this salon. They treat you like gold. Everyone Ive seen, especially Tammy today,does an excellent job! Clean, sanitary and top shelf service. Highly recommend!

I will never be coming here again. First their prices are outrageous. I got a pedicure and the attendant was on her phone and made my big toe bleed. She was so rough and then I’ve gotten many pedicures before and this attendant rubbed my feet for maybe a generous 30 seconds. Do not recommend.

This salon was very overpriced and over rated. First, I was never offered any beverages as the reviews state and then also I got a dip and a gel pedicure and it came to $100, no designs no fancy polish just regular. Also I was going to let it go and not write a bad review because I’m not that person but I’ve been getting gel on my toes for two years now and NEVER has it chipped ... my gel chipped within 2 days. Definitely won’t be going back.

Excellent experience each time I come here! Holly did my gel manicure and pedicure (my first ever!) today and everything looks perfect. The service is top notch and I love having a glass of wine and massage :) Will keep coming back again and again!

I’ve been going here for dip powder for about 2 years and all of the techs do the same process resulting in beautiful nails except for the one I had this time - she was clearly rushing, only did 2 coats, and I actually had a nail BREAK after 8 days. Unacceptable.

My first visit, several months ago, was just ok because I had a new technician who was clearly just learning powder dipping. However, I have visited again and again since then. The owners are great! Hubby is funny, wife is adorable and both are very customer service oriented. I totally ENJOY the experience and the glass of wine! I do make these suggestions though;-Techs give longer, better massage...we pay for it ($$$) and it will show in your tip.-Techs not concern themselves with other drama. My foot is cut now, and I cant wear a shoe, because my tech was SCRUBBING my foot so hard, and not paying attention to me because she was busy chatting to her co-workers.-TURN DOWN THE SPEED OF YOUR DRILLS! THEY BURN!!

I always have a great experience. The owners are soooo sweet and funny, too. Linh is my tech, but Ive sat with Rachel, too, and had great service. They offer beer, wine, and nonalcoholic beverages. Very happy here!
