This place is great. I hope that they never go out of business. It is a Philly landmark. The staff are great people friendly. And the Family treats you like family. I went in here trying to get a cut of beef to try to reverse sear for the first time. I went in and started talking with the butcher, Dominic, and he walked me through it and convinced me I could do it on a tomahawk. So I got it and tried it and it came out awesome. Best piece of beef I ever tasted. The people there are nice and helpful and the prices are great.

Came out on Sunday November 1st looking for nice quality oxtails, was greeted by a professional butcher that took the time to show me a few options of oxtail in the back. He trimmed them down perfectly. I also brought some beautiful beef ribs, chicken wings and a roast. All were amazing quality and that’s what matters to me. Thank You for giving me excellent service on my first visit I will be a return customer!

I’ve been shopping at Esposito’s for 20+ years and can’t say enough great things about them. There are very few old school butchers still around and even fewer that offer this level of customer service and a top quality product. Do not miss their sausages, slab bacon, Gianonne chickens, steaks and veal!

Zero stars if i could. You expect when you pay more and go somewhere specialty that youre going to receive good service. Went there today. Super disorganized. Waited my turn, watched 6 people come out, no one calling others in, when asked was told by 2 employees in the rudest manner, walked out. Not stepping foot in here ever again. Overpriced and beyond disrespectful.

This is my favorite meat store to shop at. Meats are always fresh and the store is always clean. I went today for my monthly quarantine shopping and I must give you a heads up, the prices have increased. I was shocked, but I understand the reason for the price increase. Not to mention, I will pay the price for good quality and clean cuts of meat. They are still practicing social distancing, only 8 in at a time which is definitely good. But, you know everyone doesnt understand the meaning of social distancing 😒. The staff still wears the protective facemasks. Awesome place to shop!!

Hubby and I always makes this our first stop when we shop at the Italian market. The meat is fresh and reasonably priced. One of our favorites is the Jamaican jerk chicken thighs that are awesome on the Grill.

I love this butcher. They are one of the best in the market. They are great for good cuts of meat, I like this lamb shoulder chops, and pre-marinaded treats like the Tuscan turkey. They have good prices on cheese too. I just wish they were open on Mondays

Purchased several NY strips and cowboy steaks when taken out of the package had an awful smell! I will stick with Lombardi’s meats instead.

Failed their customers during the pandemic. I had an order I had waited on for 10 days. They announced on social media they were closing before my order was due but they didnt say ANYTHING about orders already placed. I didnt recieve an email about my cancellation until the day before it was due, I sent multiple emails left unanswered. When I said something about it to them on Instagram they didnt even apologize and blamed it on Mercato. Its both of you.You each has a responsibility to your customers and you didnt care.

Really friendly staff, really good prices, really fresh meats. Dont know that theres anything not to love about this place. Theyve also had the same, knowledgeable staff for as long as I can remember.

Why buy at a chain store? Prices are comparable and the quality is top notch. The staff are helpful and always cheerful every time Im there. My only complaint (and it is minor) is that they close by the time I get off work at 6 pm. Not their fault, really, but because I love the place I wish they could stretch it to 7 some days. Highly recommended for a true Italian Market cooking/grilling shoppers experience.

One of the cleanest and easiest meat markets to shop at on Ninth. VERY clean, organized and service oriented. Try a small 15/20 pound roasting pig! They fit perfect and cook beautifully on a bbq grill with a rotisserie. Succulent 🐖 👌

These guys are great. Were always looking for larger cuts for the smoker, and these guys always make it happen. You have to learn how to work the lines when you get in there, as it can be a little crazy. There is a line going towards each counter, and you pick one!
