Nice place, but important to note that even the student workers have keys to the apartments?! I was in my kitchen one day (in pajamas lol) and next thing I know a student worker opens my door and walks in… it happened with maintenance too but I’m more concerned about a student worker having access like that.

Average experience with some highs and lows. The building itself is absolutely beautiful but the price you pay may not be worth it for you. For some insight, my three roommates and I paid $869 each for rent in a dorm style apartment. The apartment is the size of a shoebox, and we each had to share a room and bedroom. This is the cheapest option in the building by the way. The staff is very rude and make it seem like you’re inconveniencing them, but I noticed this began to improve later in the school year. When things broke, they were very quick to fix it. The maintenance workers were the friendliest workers in the building. When moving out, I asked if they could open the gated parking lot for me and they said no (parking is an extra $100+ per month). I was stuck pushing a cart up and down sidewalks and onto streets. Seems very inconsiderate. If you’re willing to pay the extremely high price, then Vantage is overall a good option. You’re better off living off campus for a lower price and a much bigger space.

Will lie and change the story to forcefully charge you with unnecessary charges when moving out. Quite literally removed the controller back cover then blamed it on me and my roommates, charging us all $50. Walls are weak and thin and literally anything will break it. Dont waste your time with this place, overcharging their tenants 900+ dollars a rent with mediocre services. Only thing good going for these guys are the gym but even then, Star and IBC has much better equipment. Save your money and find somewhere off campus with much better living conditions.

Anthony was a huge help when it came to signing my lease. I was a transfer student at the beginning of this year, so I knew nobody when I came to Temple so I decided to call Vantage about off campus living. I talked to Anthony on the phone with my Mom, and he answered all of our many, crazy questions with precision and kindness. Anthony gave us a virtual tour and my Mom and I signed the lease that day because of Anthony. Even after living here for half a year I have had kept in touch with Anthony and he is always the first to help me with any issues and is always so kind and caring. Anthony is truly the best.

This past November, I moved into Vantage after living at The View for around 3 months. Molly helped me with the entire transfer process and made it very easy on my end. Anytime I have any issue she is always super helpful and makes sure I am satisfied. Also, she makes an effort to say “Hi” if we ever run into each other, which never fails to make me smile. Molly makes Vantage a better place 😊

DONT RENT FROM VANTAGE!! There are so many better places around Temple Univ. available for rent that are MUCH cheaper and whose management is both reasonable/responsive. Our daughter could not live at Vantage during the 2020-2021 school year because of COVID but we still had to pay them $9,600 for absolutely NOTHING. We signed a lease months before the unforeseen COVID pandemic started ($799 per month/per roommate). Her roomates got sick with COVID a few days before she was scheduled to move in (Aug2020) so she stayed home. The COVID situation in her apartment never improved (for many reasons, including COVID reinfections) so our daughter was unable to live there for the entire year. Vantage management would not respond to our many emails and phone calls attempting to discuss the situation. When we were finally able to get someone to talk to us (after months of effort!) they refused to help us even after we offered many different fair and equitable solutions. They didnt care that our country was in the midst of a historic GLOBAL PANDEMIC; they only cared about collecting the MONEY even when COVID prevented you from living there. They stated that we were under a legal obligation to pay them $799/mo for the full term of the lease although our daughter could not move in. To top it off, they are now attemting to collect a cleaning fee for cleaning services required after the other roomates moved out in July2021. I emailed management about the absurdity of trying to collect a cleaning fee from us given that our daughter did not live there for the entire term of the 2020-2021 lease but, once again, no one has responded. Our daughter is now living in a much better apartment (much bigger space) near campus and is paying $200/mo LESS then Vantage. Her new landlord is responsive and works to resolve situations fairly. Do yourself a favor and stay away from Vantage. Your hard earned $ is much better spent elsewhere.

I wouldn’t recommend anyone live here. First month I lived here, we had a mouse in our apartment, despite keeping it spotless at all times, but of course I let that slide because maintenance took care of that as soon as possible. However my problem here is with the management in this building. I’d rather you live somewhere that prioritises and respects their residents. Completely sh*t treatment we get here as residents especially for how expensive it is

I just thought Id add on to my Yelp review by saying that there are SO MANY RANDOM FIRE ALARMS!!! The fire alarm system at this building is incredibly annoying and builds up constant anxiety that an alarm is going to scare the hell out of you. They are also at the most random times. There have been some at noon, some at 7 in the morning, some at 10 in the evening, and the one that just prompted me to write this review at 3:35AM!!! Some of the people in this building may be nice, but its not worth it and it will be the worst investment you ever make. I was an idiot for signing on for the second straight year.

Anthony Miller and Ceia are vantages best employees if you’re looking to lease a place at vantage definitely ask for them. They both have helped so many and have made the process of moving in easier for the students that end up talking to them. They are also great with communication. My moms super stern and is a lady who is very straight forward and this can sometimes be hard to deal with and when I was moving in Ceia helped my mom and I through the process and made the process run by faster and smoothly. Absolutely HORRIBLE experience. The staff they have working in their office act as if you are a burden on their time. Vantage has no consideration or moral value for the tenants living in their building during a time where many Americans have been hit financially. They pressured students (constant calling/ sending emails) to sign a lease for this school year, when the world was completely normal. Vantage sent out an email May 20, stating students would have 7 days to terminate their leases if the president of Temple declared classes fully online. While, Temple’s president has finally made the decision to move classes strictly online- Vantage does not want to live up to their agreement. They used the excuse of “well that offer expired”- Which is completely inaccurate due to the email not providing any start or end date to when the offer applied to. This apartment building is not interested in accommodating or looking out for the well being of their tenants. They are more interested in taking your money and leaving you out to dry.The staff working at Vantage also is very rude and ignorant to their rules and policies. My dad called inquiring about information. Then I called after him to see if I would get the same answer as him, and we got two completely different responses. Train your staff better, accommodate for your tenants, and have some moral values, and maybe this would be a half decedent place to live at.Please consider other options before you consider giving this place a single penny.

What my roommates and I thought would be perfectly inspected, safe, and working is far from the truth. Living at Vantage, an Asset Campus Housing Building, has been an experience to say the least. We have been paying full rent on our brand new apartment since August 1, 2019 and were not allowed move in until the move-in days until Aug 18-22. We have all lived in our apartment since August 22, 2019 in which we have had nothing but trouble and dysfunctional utilities and amenities. The electrical and plumbing crawlspace was left open upon arrival and is extremely dangerous with supply and wires in the open, leading us to believe our room was never inspected. The maintenance staff has come to our room 5 times in the 17 days we have lived here. The contracting and engineering on this building was rushed and quite honestly, sub-par. Between the 4 of us living in this apartment, nearly $10,000 has gone into our 901 square foot apartment, for the 17 days we have been living here, that is undoubtably unfit for living. The water supply and plumbing has been causing issues every day and for the 4 maintenance requests that have been put in, there was a different part that needed to be replaced every single time. I should not be inconvenienced with changing my schedule and having my privacy invaded 5 times in 17 days for continuous problems that have yet to be completely solved. My roommates and I also should not have to deal with no water in our showers and our showers turning off halfway through. Today, September 7, 2019 our kitchen sink flooded and there is ZERO management in the building and maintenance has off for the weekends. This was an emergency that took 3 hours to be attended to. After our kitchen has been flooded, countless items need to be reimbursed and replaced, we come to find out that the washer to the sink broke. NOBODY has lived in this room before me, so why is everything breaking? Why are the filters to the shower extremely filthy and aerators broken? Why are we investing thousands of dollars to be inconvenienced and treated HORRIBLY??? I want answers. I want a solution and to be reimbursed. This is inexcusable.

I’m so happy that I found such a wonderful apartment for my daughter. I feel much better about her living off-campus since she’s right next to the police station and basically on-campus. Her apartment is gorgeous (much nicer than anything I got to stay in when I was in college lifetimes ago lol) and has a view of Center City from the bedroom AND floor to ceiling windows. From the gym to the parking lot, Vantage has everything she could need and want. And the staff is sooooo kind! Cia went above and beyond to make sure she got everything she wanted. I lived at Vantage last year and decided to transfer to a different unit this year. I got an email 2 weeks before my transfer date where I got to sign up for a time of my own choosing to have my new room keys hand delivered to me. The email specifically states “It is very important for you to BOOK YOUR TRANSFER APPOINTMENT”. I signed up for the 8 am time slot. I moved back home because of the pandemic and drove an hour back to Temple on my move in day and waited for my new keys in my old apartment at 8 in the morning. After waiting for 30 minutes and having no one come to my apartment, I tried calling the office multiple to ask what was up, and no one ever answered. Once it was 9:30, a full hour and a half after my keys were supposed to be delivered, I decided to physically walk down to the office and ask for my keys. It was only after I physically got to talk to someone that I was told that my room wasn’t ready for me to move in to yet and that my room would be ready at 1 pm. A whole 5 hour difference. I quite literally did not sign up to wait in my apartment for 5 extra hours. I was never emailed, called, told, or notified in ANY way prior to my move in date that my room would not be ready for me by the time that I signed up for. It was also extremely frustrating to see so many Vantage workers just sitting in the office after I attempted to call them multiple times and have all of my calls be ignored. I pay way too much money to this place just to be treated like I literally don’t even exist. This was extremely unprofessional, disrespectful, and should have never happened.

While I agree with most of the criticisms by other reviewers and tenants, I would like to write about a different aspect of the building.Vantage (and subsequently The View at Montgomery) are not in any regard handicap-friendly buildings. My focus here will be on Vantage, because this is the building I reside in and move throughout daily. The split design of the two towers, west and east, create ungainly travel back and forth via the bridge, which only spans the height of 7 floors; for reference, the west building is 12 floors, and the east is 18. I only state this to allude to what I will say next, in order to expand on the general understanding that because of the buildings unchangeable physical design, the implementation of accessibility is imperative where possible elsewhere.Out of the three main entrances (east tower and west tower entrances in parking lot [2] and main entrance on N 12th St [1]), none of the doors are automatic opening. While the ADA does not currently mandate automatic doors, only accessible doors which are of a minimum width and slow closing, disabled persons with walkers and wheelchairs will find extreme difficulty in all three ingress/egress points at this building. All external doors are pull to open and none are automatic opening. I believe this information is important to prospective tenants and/or guests of tenants who may be differently abled and struggle with opening doors on their own. Im hoping Vantage will bite the bullet and invest in 1 automatic opening door at each of the three entrances, but I wont hold my breath after reading the other reviews. Thank you for reading.

I am paying $1100 a month to be 1 of 4 people in a shoebox of a room. This place is so overwhelmingly expensive for such little value it would be incredible if it stayed in business within a few years of opening. Rooms are nothing like advertised, staff is rude and goes behind residents’ backs. They Shut down all amenities, which was the right thing to do given the times we live in, however there was no compensation to residents who pay for these services. Vanatge and the View have done all they can to profit off broke college kids during a global pandemic. If you’re looking for “off campus” housing close to campus, look at Diamond Green on University Village. They are literally half the price for the same amount of space if not more.

Vantage has poor management that does not address your concerns. For example, The walls are thin, and there is no insulation in the floor-to-ceiling window units so you can hear EVERYTHING. The neighbor next to me plays loud music and it very difficult to focus, especially when you’re in a professional graduate school. The noise is extremely loud and during the beginning of semester, I even cried to management because I was so overwhelmed and I wanted some peace and quiet. But they did not resolve the situation. My room frequently smells like weed which I don’t understand. Also it is very expensive to live here and I fell for the trap of “make sure to renew your lease or the price will go up”. The renewed lease did went up and I think it should stay the same as my current lease. I even got a poker chip to use for a lease incentive but there are no lease incentives to reduce the monthly rent for 2020-2021. During this pandemic, I hope rent will decrease but management is greedy and nothing in the lease mentions about a pandemic and how they will take care of the situation. Management has not done anything about this. Basically paying for a fancy expensive locker to hold my things during this pandemic.

Honestly an awful place to live. This place picks and chooses when it wants to be a dorm and when to be an apartment based on what is convenient for them. In the lease, it says nowhere that they can revoke our rights to having people over to OUR room that we are paying for, yet they said no visitors are allowed and removed all amenities without lowering rent, which is extremely overpriced. They still have not given WiFi out to residents, when this is on a school campus, with online classes. The management is extremely rude and only wants your money. They are only nice until you sign a lease, they have no respect for the residents whatsoever. They had no consideration for all of us that had to leave and considering we had no access to amenities, we could’ve gotten some kind of refund. the hallways always smell like weed and we would have security knock on our door threatening to write us up if the hallway smelt of it, even though it was clear that it was coming from other rooms and not us. Vantage charged $129 for parking during the month of August but arent issuing parking passes until August 24th at the earliest. That is bullcrap, plain and simple and no way around it. Everyone who paid for August parking should have their August credit applied towards September. This is not the only cause/complaint warranting a 1 star review of Vantage. This is just the cherry on top of a long history of abuse by Vantage towards their tenants. Just recently they threatened their residents with police action for having guests in their apartments but backtracked on it after receiving mass backlash. Even now tenants are limited to 1 guest which is nearly just as unreasonable. Whats next on their tyrannical agenda? Do yourself a favor and dont find out for yourself. Take your money elsewhere! I worked/lived at Vantage for one year and I could not have had more of a difficult time there. As a staff member we were treated very poorly and had to deal with all the issues that our managers and bosses did not feel like handling despite it being their job, all the while trying to keep up with constant management changes and inconsistency on procedures in the building. I saw first hand how Vantage dealt with the pandemic mediocrly at best, and also provided very little assistance to residents who were inconvenienced by this. Despite their being a worldwide pandemic they had very little to say about what they were doing to help everyone. As a resident I feel as though my money could have been better spent at a more respectable establishment where I’m treated as a valued customer. Vantage management pretty much understands that no matter what you say or do, as soon as you sign that binding lease you are all theirs and their priority is getting your money, it is truly sad to see the never ending greed that takes place, not to mention this place is overpriced in comparison to most places on campus. I recommend you find yourself a nice off campus apartment, or even try the Kardon, UV or some other places very close by. I’ve lived at both the View and Vantage over the past 3 years. At the View, I had a phenomenal experience. Ever since moving to Vantage, my roommates and I have been met with obstacles from office staff/management that have been incredibly hard to come by. Many incidents have troubled me, but most recently, there have been two apartments on my floor that have thrown parties with 15+ people, all not wearing masks. I called security immediately to diffuse the situation, in which they hung up on me mid-sentence and never came up to address the tenants. I reached out to the office staff, who was so incredibly rude and vindictive towards me, told me that I “should have kept calling.” I said “how is this a solution?” He said I should email him with photo proof of it happening, and then he can send it to the manager (which they do not ACTUALLY have right now, yes, they fired all of their management team and have a “standing agent” right now). In college living situations, it’s reasonable to expect the unexpected, but this building’s management is an atrocity. Ill-informed, constantly rude and condescending, poor communicators and VERY unprofessional. Depending on who you talk to (office staff/security guard) you will ALWAYS get different answers regardless of the situation. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, even if you paid me, especially since their promotion of money off of rent for referring somebody is a hoax-you’ll never get the money, and they will just say that there never existed such a special (look at your website?).****Quick update on 11/3/20Continuously fronted with egregious obstacles from staff/management in which no staff/management has been willing/wanting to help. I find it almost comical to see Vantages reply, as they never reached out to me. Just a quick update on Vantages response/handing to Covid-they have downsized and fired pretty much all of their custodial staff from Allied Universal and there has been vomit in the elevator for 4 days. My roommates and I reached out to the office management and even went in person, and there is still vomit covering the floor, splattered on the wall and on the handle bars necessary for use by handicap people. I spoke to a custodial staff member who shared with me that they intend on having office staff clean the building moving forward, as they are losing their jobs. The office management is terrible and incredibly rude but I cannot imagine what The Goldenberg Group puts them through. I will reiterate myself again, DO NOT LIVE HERE. IT IS NOT WORTH IT. I truly believe this office functions by making it so difficult to resolve issues that they bank on residents just giving up and living in frustration instead.

Vantage was a safe place to live but the management team and greediness has led me to leave two stars. The list goes on and on, from closing all the amenities and not reducing rent, to not allowing my family to come into my apartment because of their Covid guest policy, to my latest complaint. I started getting charges on my bank account for TV subscriptions, did some research, and find out the people living in my old apartment were charging things to my bank account through Roku. The TV in the apartment was never reset and all of our accounts and bank information were still linked up to it. After calling Vantage, I was told no refund could be given since it was not their fault. They said they would contact the new tenants, so I asked when I would hear back from them about logging out of things. They said there would no reason to call back. Its my fault for assuming Vantage would have done something to prevent this. I would also like to point out there was nothing of this sort on the move-out list. Vantage only cares about getting money from college students and does not care at all for their tenants.

I wish there was another option for me regarding housing at Temple. I am extremely fortunate in that my parents are paying for my housing, and they just want the safest option for me, without having to live under the constraints that Temple housing forces upon the students. Vantage takes advantage of their residents. The prices are nowhere near realistic for typical college students, and even for the absurd prices, a lot of residents are not receiving proper maintenance in their units. In addition, now with COVID, management has notified us that all amenities, which we pay for immensely in our monthly rent, will be closed until further notice, AND residents aren’t allowed ANY guests. Other than this violating the lease, it is also ILLEGAL. If we cannot have guests nor use the amenities that we pay for, we need to have a lower monthly rent. Even if you are reading this review after COVID is under control, I would still explore all other options before choosing to live at Vantage.

Poor management. Did not accommodate for residents especially during COVID. Highly over priced especially for having to share a room with someone. Especially for renters insurance, they made me jump through hurdles because they wanted a company that would make sure their name was on the compensation check along with mine (so if there were any damages they would get my money). Many insurance companies dont do this because renters insurance is supposed to protect the renter and not the corporation. Mad shady!

At first sight, everything seems beautiful and exciting, but Vantage is nothing more than a gilded building with overpriced apartments. Me and my roommates being the first people to ever live in our apartment, it is impressive the amount of problems we had. We had issues with our microwave, oven, lighting, cabinets, washing machine, the wifi for our room (it worked only for the first couple days). No only that, the Vantage administration is greedy, not truly having their residents best interest in mind, as they claim, and treating their workers badly. I would take my money elsewhere.

I have been living in a different dorm on campus and when I visited Vantage I knew this was the place to be! Stephen showed me around and had an answer to every single one of my questions, no hesitation! He made it so Vantage was my top choice for student housing next year. Everyone that works at Vantage should be a bit more like Stephen.

Vantage has poor management that does not address your concerns. The renewed lease prices went up and when I thought it will stay the same as my current lease. I got a poker chip to use for a lease incentive but there are no lease incentives to reduce the monthly rent for 2020-2021. During this pandemic, the management did nothing to help their residents. Management has not communicated with us/worked with residents to make this better for them. I have renewed back in Novemeber and now with all my classes going online, my visa will become void and I will be stuck paying for an empty apartment. They said they will work with me regarding my situation but so far I got 0 updates or responses on my emails and a plea to speak to the gm.

Vantage has poor management that does not address your concerns, even when it has to do with your health and the quality of living. Some of the student workers are also not trained to be professional with residents. The walls are thin, and there is no insulation in the floor-to-ceiling window units so you can hear EVERYTHING. My room frequently smells like weed and so does the elevators and the lobby, even though it is a smoke free building. Management has not done anything about this. Asset Living has also ignored all requests for reimbursing part of our rent since the amenities are closed (gym, terrace, study areas, sky lounge) due to social distancing. I have not gotten what I paid for while living here, even before the pandemic started.

By far the best housing there is for being in temple! The building is very modern-like with many activities that students can interact with such as pool. The rooms are amazing, with great views of the campus and city, and group study type rooms in every floor. Overall the service here is wonderful, everyone is pretty happy and always treats you with respect. Especially this person I met when I needed help, Basheer, went out of his way to fulfill my needs and made sure I made the most out of my stay. He even showed me more around Vantage that I didnt know existed. Truly a great representative of what Vantage is supposed to be. If anyone is ever lost or has problems, those that work there like Basheer, will help you all the way to the end. With great service comes a great place to live.

DO NOT RENT FROM VANTAGE!!! Take your money and go elsewhere.Very dishonest set-up and process. They are taking advantage of parents and students. They do not stand by their word or any information that they give to you. They find ways to nickle and dime the people they are there for and its unfortunate because they have an opportunity to provide exceptional customer service.UPDATE- Even though we cleaned my sons room and the bathroom and had pictures to show we were charged a fee even though he moved out in March because of Covid and we had to keep paying the rent all the way to August. On the day of his moving out the last of his things it was pouring and they would not even allow us to pull up. We were soaked. Terrible experience all around .

I don’t want to sound cliché but If I could give this place Zero stars I would. The last few months of our lease we usually pay for the amenities a.k.a. gym study lounges and community spaces however they were closed and we were not compensated. Also at the view we were allowed to buy an additional laundry card for $40 that had $200 of laundry money on it however at the Vantage we had to pay a dollar for dollar each additional wash. Our refrigerator was broken from the day we moved in and was replaced with an even worse refrigerator we were told to leave baking soda in it to make it smell better and we were never able to make ice. They are the worst. You will pay too much to live in A horrible building if you decide to live here. Save your money and live Anywhere else. There’s too much for me to complain about in this message I can post another one if you would like me to.

Brief but needed-A nice building, beautiful enterence and OK rooms throughout (yet feels quickly built).Yet the staffing and moral policy of this place is disgusting. Our rent was mislabled, as well as the type of room windows we had. We were also overcharged several times and had to argue that. There were several issues with the fire alarm, stove, heating systems and the shower turned cold a good bit for a brand new building. The staff has no respect for residents. I believe part of the training here is money or we treat you like garbage. I asked to use the lot for a day to move out (stuck since the virus) and was hung up on. The best people in this staff are maintanence and the one kind gentleman on the phone who helped me.I would avoid this place as much as possible, comparable spaces can be found for cheaper and without such a rude staff.

Unfortunately Vantage has been disappointing a lot of its residents this year. Management does not seem to care at all that students have to pay a fortune to live in a space off campus where as of now, we are not allowed to have access to the amenities (a big selling point) nor have more than one guest. This policy, even in a pandemic, does not seem realistic in a facility such as Vantage and I wish that management would work more collaboratively with its residents to create an environment for this school year that keeps in mind all of the safety precautions necessary to prevent the spread of COVID 19, while not restricting residents so much that they are miserable all year long.

Words cant even express how helpful and friendly the whole Vantage staff was in this process. Finding housing would normally be a stressful situation, but the managers and student staff were very assuring and even gave my parents a Facetime tour of the leasing trailer. They were extremely helpful when it came to pricing and finding me the perfect room. I was also able to see a hard hat tour of the building and it is such a beautiful property. The rooms are so spacious, and the floor to ceiling windows are absolutely incredible. There are so many great amenities and I absolutely cant wait to move in. Since moving in here, I have experienced several things that have made me frustrated. I’ve had clogged toilets, hot water not working properly, AC wires not plugged correctly, maintenance people showing up after issues were already fixed, a shower handle that was not even screwed onto the shower, rooms shaking (between mine and other people on other floors who experienced it at the same time) and no printers in a STUDENT building. I can deal with those issues and have not complained. However, when my safety is at risk, and no communication is relayed between the staff of Vantage and its residents, I have a serious problem with it. I had to call campus safety about my roommates and various residents on 13th, 7th, and 8th floors smelling GAS. The security guard that came up with us and confirmed the smell (who also said he got various reports and thought people were joking) told the police when they arrived that he did not smell anything. An emergency alarm goes off 2 days later, with everyone I saw outside saying Its probably the gas. No text from Vantage staff about whats happening, when to enter the building, if it was a drill or not -- NOTHING. But when theres a casino night or pizza downstairs, a text is sent promptly. The reviews for Vantage on all websites are high, because we were enticed to write positive reviews with the incentive of gaining points to redeem them for items online. A majority of reviews were written WITHOUT ANYONE LIVING IN THE BUILDING YET. When a fellow resident commented on the instagram page about not having printers, he got BLOCKED by the Vantage account. We have a right to be upset and express that, without getting dismissed, like I felt the security guard did with us, only with a potential GAS SAFETY issue.
