Omg-a mess— I’m new to the neighborhood and took a picture of the name of this place in the window to remember it when I walked by —and the barber came out and yelled at me for invading his privacy ! Angriest barber in town apparently- he wasn’t even in the picture which I showed him ! Lol needless to say, I decided to look elsewhere for a haircut.

Been coming here for years and love the place. I was taught a couple of things and one is when you find a good barber you always keep going. That wont be changing anytime soon.

I was a walk-in and got one of the best haircuts of my life. I told him to do the classic thin-the-sides-and-back-with-a-little-off-the-top thing, and he took the time to give me a haircut that fit my face.Very reasonable price for a deluxe haircut in an old-fashioned ambiance. I had a great experience! Very great hot towel shave, I was so relaxed. Jahmal really hooked me up. The ambiance is really what sets this place apart from other barbers, right in the heart of center city in a cozy little shop. Perfect location, right off the PATCO. Loved the jazz in the background. I will be a repeat customer, for sure.

This place is a clown show. Unprofessional and rude. Beware ifyou buy gifts cards for their services. $5 is deducted automatically if you dont use the card. As a business owner, I would never imagine putting a time expiration on a gift card. Its just a scam and serves no purpose but to inconvenience the customer.

Very classy and focused on the client. The price was very reasonable and the quality of the cut was amazing. Most Center City Barber shops dont even know what a shape up is. Here you will get a sharp line with a straight razor as the icing on the cake. Atmosphere is really great and the jazz music just adds to the ambiance of the shop. They were so focused on me that even when a phone call needed to be answered they apologized and offered an explanation even though it did not bother me at all. I highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a high-quality barber in the downtown area.

The barber only listened to my clear instructions passively or decided to ignored me entirely. Twice he gave me a haircut that reflected his wishes, and not that of my own. He cut a part in my hair that was clearly a half inch off from its original position. I also explained that I was trying to grow a 4 inch beard and to cut my neckline just above my Adams Apple. The man totally disrespected my wishes, and now two months of growing my beard was in vain. The man seems to think he has the artistic license to do whatever he wants to your hairstyle, and you are to like it. Smh... My girlfriend and daughter are upset about it also.

I sometimes get the urge to do completely idiotic things when Im bored. This was the case when I decided to cut my hair with a beard trimmer... that ran out of juice halfway through. Needless to say it resulted in an interesting style I dubbed The Bachelor.Thankfully, 2B Groomed was right around the corner and fixed me right up. And while its the shortest my hair has ever been (they did what they could), it is also the most complimented cut Ive ever had, making it very serendipitous.I can tell there is a real passion for the work here and that makes all the difference in a world of generic salons looking for a quick turnover. Time and care was taken to make me feel more confident walking out of there than I did walking in.Moral of the story? Dont cut your own hair... or do. I dont know.Just visit them, ok?

Guy gave me a good haircut but he had squeezed me in and did my beard so fast he missed parts. I had never had anyone trim or line my beard so I didnt know what to tell him and he wasnt exactly helpful. I wont be back, but, again, the haircut was good.

I was in desperate need of hair repair after going 4 months without a haircut. Jahmal, the owner took me as a walk in customer and then gave one of the best haircuts Ive ever had. Great job, best place Ive gone in Philly.

Jahmal is as unprofessional as they come. I walked in at 2:00 for a haircut/shave. He had several openings online so I did not book a time because he was wide open. He proceeded to tell me to come back in an hour. No problem. Walked back at 2:55. No Jahmal, no problem. I saw him sitting across the street in his car directly across the studio door so I know he saw me standing there waiting for him. Then he left and circled the block. I waited outside for ten more minutes when he reappeared to tell me he couldnt do it. No phone call or a Hey man something came up so lets reschedule. No problem Jahmal. Ill spread the word.

Even their student rate is higher than the regular rates of at least two other places within a few blocks. Paying more money did not get me a better haircut. Nice furnishings.

Amazing haircut. I normally go to the hood to get my hair cut, and when I saw this place in the gayborhood, I had to check it out. Conversation was good, super nice barber, but the main point is theyll make you look good in a chique manly setting.

I was visiting Philly from out of state for my wifes surgery at Wills Hospital and went to two other barbershops and walked out before finding 2BGroomed. What a place! What a haircut! Jahmal is a great guy and a great barber! Hes an artist. Ill be going back in October when we have to go back to the hospital. Philly is lucky to have a Barber and Barber shop like Jahmal and 2BGroomed! Great haircut and style for a great price.

Jahmal was very accommodating of my interest in TrueFitt & Hill. I could tell it wasnt a good time for him, but he made time for me...Great conversation, and I picked up a bottle of cologne. Next time Im in the city, Im stopping by for a shave!

We came here for a wedding. the guy was nice enough, but the shave sucked. lots of missed spots and he cut my face pretty bad.

Made a 12pm appointment on a Sunday but either they werent open or they were super late. I Waited for 20 mins and decided to leave. Left a voicemail but never got a call back. I will not give them another chance.
