Food is just like my familys if not even better. Good portions and fast service. I just wish the waiters didnt stand so close to us huddled together. Made me feel like I was being watched. Upstairs has a bit more privacy. Menu prices moderate for area and the fact that Vietnamese food is not hard or expensive to make. Good for date night. Dark wood tables and chairs with soft lighting. Can be loud. Waiting area can be spruced up for sure.
Adorable little Vietnamese restaurant with super friendly service! The workers are kind and courteous. The atmosphere is so cute and you can tell that an effort was made to create the look and vibe of the environment. The food was delicious and came out quickly and the cocktails are great too!! Great #vegetarian options
This is a great spot for lunch. They have a lunch special for around $15. I had the shrimp rolls for the appetizer - these are shrimps and vermicelli that come in wraps (not deep fried) I also got the chicken vermicelli and ended with a green tea ice cream. Overall I think the meal was delicious and filling and the service was quick and excellent.
My youngest son ordered the chicken fried rice. If you enjoy bland rice, with small quantities of chicken, this is your dish. No flavor at all.Very disappointing.
This food is so delicious and filling and I felt like we got it pretty quick as well.
Ice coffee is one of the best and their food is delicious. The staff are very friendly and go out of their way to accommodate Covid curbside take out.
First time having take out. They use Toasttab for on line ordering. This is the best on line ordering system. The food was well packaged and delicious as usual.
My favorite restaurant before the pendemic, place pick up order. They didnt notice the order, which went through the bank, so I have to wait again, needed extra sauce for my granddaughter, they only gave me one, like ok, I can pay the extra charge but dont deny me the service. Done with restaurants untill they open back up. I try being supportive, but just no working.,🙄☹️☹️😢
This was my first experience 15 years ago with Vietnamese food! I continue to visit each time I come to Philadelphia. Its important to me that their recipes are authentic and have a balance of flavor. My favorite dish is the short ribs. The are tender and thinly sliced and full of bold flavor. I also love how they mix cold ingredients such as cucumbers, bean spouts, cilantro, etc with the hot portions of food for a contrast of textures and temperature of the dish. Ive taken many people here during my travels and look forward to my return! My only criticism, why I gave it 4 stars, is because I feel the bathroom needs more attention to cleanliness and they need to fill the soap dispenser with proper soap rather than dishwashing liquid.
Vietnams food is delicious. Their prices are reasonable. They offer good sized portions. I recommend the BBQ platter.
I love this place so much. The ambience the food and service is very good! Nice drinks too. You will not be disappointed. I love the barbecue platter, it’s what I get every time. Very delicious !👌🏽
One of my favorite places for quality vietnamese food. This place is absolutely outstanding. Really nothing but great experiences here, so I will be back. The bill was appropriate.
Very appetizing. I look forward to going back again. Prices are decent. Food is like a restaurant in Jacksonville I loved.
Some months ago, I ventured into this place after ordering takeout and have regretted it, since, Whenever I think about how horrible my experience was there, I no longer even want to eat Vietnamese cuisine. Quite simply, I was attending a convention and wanted to get something nearby the hotel. I ordered through GrubHub and, after seeing the extreme delay in delivery times, I decided to just go and get it myself. When I arrived in the store, all went well until I picked ONE peppermint from the counter, while I was waiting for my food. The owner/manager NEARLY slapped my hand and scolded me for taking mints which were for the customers. Clearly, he couldnt distinguish between a delivery driver and his customers. I wonder how that happened? Further, he felt emboldened to attempt to continue his attempt to scold me for taking what he would otherwise have given away.I can assure you that when I got through discussing him, his parents, and his country, that he will exercise serious caution before making such a ridiculous noise about ONE peppermint. He was completely out of bounds and beyond rude, almost to the point of battery. He refused a refund. I had it refunded through the delivery company. And chucked it in the garbage, on the way out the door. The guy is an immigrant, from a country where my neighbors lost lives in a war. He neednt grovel. Or apologize. Or be in any particular way. Though, he could find a bit of respect for the country which now hosts him and for its citizens and residents, despite his blindly racist assumptions. In my strongest sense of disappointment, I encourage you to NOT patronize this establishment. HIGHLY DISAPPOINTING.
Vietnamese food, mmm, super tasty. Visited on a Wednesday I think. The bill was appropriate for the quality.
Great food and atmosphere.
After 20+ years of satisfying my cravings for Vietnamese food at Vietnam Palace in Chinatown, this year, after visiting the Flower Show, I dined with friends across the street from the Palace, at Vietnam Restaurant. The Palace had disappointed me the last few visits (inconsistent food and service, and they changed some recipes!!). Last nights meal at Vietnam was incredibly good— service was excellent, ambiance too, and the food was fantastic; everything tasted exactly like I hoped it would-- spring rolls, fish stew in the clay pot, meatballs, char-broiled pork-- and the portions were ample-- we brought leftovers home. Cant wait for the next craving to go back....
Amazing Food. Got the Beef short ribs, tasted amazing. A ton of vegan options too :)
As a prior military member and traveler, I enjoy many foods from around the world. My friend chose to bring me here based on that, and his prior experiences visiting here himself. We ordered several things to share as to experience more of the menu, to include a clay pot. Expedient service, excellent food, small yet personal atmosphere. Would visit again upon returning to Philadelphia.
Vietnam palace has very good food. appetizer of thinly sliced beef came fast followed by a variety of soups for my wife and I. Everything was very well-prepared and delicious. The maitre d of the house is very kind. We recommend this place.
This is perhaps the most convenient Vietnamese delivery in San Francisco. The only flaw is that they fail to provide any disposable silverware. However, the food is delicious, and the drivers are courteous to call ahead to make sure their addresses are accurate.
Delicious food and outstanding service. Highly recommended
One of the fastest food sercice providers
There are a lot of choices for food if you wander through Phillys Chinatown but Vietnam was an outstanding choice. We recently returned to Vietnam Restaurant after not having been there for over 15 years. We were happy to find out that it has not gone downhill at all! Everything we ate was delicious, and they still had our old favorite BBQ platter although it was updated, it was still terrific. The service was fast and friendly, and the prices are very reasonable for the quality and quantity of the food. Highly recommend.
Our favorite place! It is consistently good. Extensive menu with something for everyone. The food is always fresh and cooked to perfection. The staff is knowledgeable about ingredients for food restrictions and helpful with suggestions. Kind and welcoming environment.
This is my favorite Vietnamese food in Philadelphia. It was the first VN restaurant I ate at in the city after moving here from Sai Gon & it never disappoints. The Bun Thit Nuong is stellar, as are the fried spring rolls -- which by the way are not made with wheat. The people are always kind and guests have not been disappointed. They dont skimp on takeout portions, either. Its our first time getting takeout since The Before Times, and this is the place were going with. Cant wait.
Fantastic Vietnamese food, fast service. You will not have to worry about the quality and authenticity of the food. Its very very good!
Did not have dine in
My family is a long time customer of the Vietnam Restaurant. The parents actually started going about 30 years ago, even before I was born and just never stopped going. We make it there at least once a year when we go into the city becuase their food is that good! I hope we continue to go for as long as they are open.
First went here in 2000 with coworkers. We had the noodles and spring roll lunch special about twice a week. Delicious! Its as consistent and good now as it was then. I always go here when Im in Philly. Its pretty rare for a restaurant to make it this long serving the same food. If you are visiting and need a safe bet, this is it. Clean and service is excellant. On street parking can be challenging. Order anything as long as it has spring rolls, you wont be disappointed.
Vietnamese food, yeah, so good. Service is always super even when they have a full house. Fast, efficient, and courteous service. Prices are appropriate. Not close to my job, I wish it was.
The Pho I had there was DELICIOUS but the server we got wasnt too friendly. Didnt offer us drinks and looked bothered when wed ask for anything. We arent locals. We drove from Kansas City, Missouri. We were hoping for better service since we were in China Town.
Glad they have a section for vegetarian options. I got the vegetable spring rolls and the rice soup with vegetables. It was delicious and the server was very nice. The ambiance was relaxing and everything was fairly priced. I would definitely come back.
Last time i visited here with my sis for food. and i was very happy with the services they provided. The staff was very professional and friendly too. In like the way their customer. If i talk about the price was also reasonable.
Very good! I was with a party of 6. My son had vermicelli with crispy pork. Delicious. Others in our party had pho and were very pleased. I had the shrimp pad Thai. It was also delicious. The shrimp perfectly cooked and fresh. Service was decent. I dont know why the place wasnt packed. Recommend!!
One of my favorite places in the city. Its beautiful and well kept inside. The waterfall wall is a lot of fun for my young ones. Service is great and the food is incredible. Been there five or so times and have never been let down once. Highly recommended.
A favorite place for quality Vietnamese food. I can say this place does it for me. The service was helpful and kind. This place has a great design.
Late night, after exploring the town happened upon this charming little Vietnamese restaurant. So glad we did! In short, great low-key ambiance, excellent service, delicious reasonably priced food, etc, etc... Again, excellent service, lively, but, relaxed enough. Next best thing to actually being in SE Asia! Topped of our meal with a Vietnamese French Coffee w/condensed milk 😉. Close to perfection, I had a wonderful evening at this charming Vietnamese eatery. Recommend.
Always spectacular food
Quite, low key place with calm and inviting interior. Very cozy. The staff is very friendly as well as quite informative and helpful for those less familiar with Vietnamese cuisine. If you wish to avoid the rush, visit in the mid to late afternoon. The Vietnamese spring rolls are quite enjoyable.
I hosted a lunch for about 30 colleagues here. The staff member who arranged the lunch for me was wonderful. She replied quickly and answered my audition in detail. She also provided helpful suggestions regarding the menu. The food was excellent and everyone was very happy with the meal.
Amazing menu selections even for vegetarians. Great food. Good ambience. Good service. Friendly staff. Finding parking is tricky.
Vietnamese food and the atmosphere at this place is great. Definitely worth a return visit. Prices are reasonable I would say.
Food is always delicious and made right then. Very authentic. Service is excellent.
I come here whenever Im nearby. Delicious. Clean. My favorite is the shrimp vermicelli with crispy egg rolls
What can I say one of my favorite restaurants in Philadelphia the food is simple clean delicious… Wait staff are very friendly, best Vietnamese food in the city!!!
We have been going here for 25 years and it still is the best. Run by a great family that’s been part of our city for years. Worth the trip for delicious food. Hard to pick, everything is well prepared. Finish with a coffee and the black eyed pea and rice pudding with warm coconut milk.
I moved into the neighborhood a few months ago, and this place has quickly become my go-to for takeout! The food is great, the staff is nice, prices are reasonable, and the wait times are always short.
Food was amazing! I got the spring rolls, tofu stir fry, and the Thai iced tea. Everything was top notch. Service was great too. Would strongly recommend it.
This nice little restaurant is very unique. I dont eat too much Asian food, but I would recommend this place. They have a simple, yet unique menu options that I have never seen before. If you come here, you can definitely try something new.
Sweet, very accommodating hosts. Vermicelli was fresh and chilled, and the cabernet sauvignon wasnt bad at all. Fish sauce tasted a little rank for some reason.
One of my fav places for tasty Vietnamese food. It was so fresh. I look forward to going back again.
Everything was excellent this evening! I only prefer not to be seated at the closest table to the restroom. Otherwise, I would have listed five stars!
Loved the grilled squid, no need for the dipping sauce, it was that good. We enjoyed the pork vermicelli bowl and the lemongrass beef broken rice. Its a small restaurant with attentive service. Looking forward to coming back.
I love this place. Big servings, reasonable prices, good service.
Excellent cuisine and service! Nice, friendly atmosphere. There is a bar, but you can BYOB, for a rather steep corkage fee...
My favorite Vietnamese Restaurant! Crispy spring rolls like no other! Other favorites: Grilled meat ball rolls. Grilled pork rolls. Pork chops. Salt & pepper squid. Basil chicken. Grilled shrimp. Their Pho is good too. I dont live in the city and I will still drive all the way down town for this place. Great service and quick!
Great pho and other Asian dishes. Decent atmosphere and very reasonable prices for the city. Have eaten here before and enjoyed it then as well.
Dalisheas very nice service great food. Every time Im in the City im there. Love it 👌👍💖💖💖
Delicious food, lovely space, efficient pleasant service. Long time favorite. Reasonable prices great to take friends or out of owners for a slightly off the beaten path treat. Love the vermicelli dishes with grilled toppings as well as the sweet and sour soup with shrimp and pineapple.
Their appetizers were excellent. The entree was meh. The service was super fast.
Very authentic, especially the rice paper used for the Spring Rolls. Eat here quite often and it is consistently delicious. Keep in mind that service at a Vietnamese restaurant will never be great, in my opinion. That is just the culture. Servers leave the patrons to dine in peace. The Pho is really good here.
I have eaten here multiple times, and they consistently give fast service and amazing food. It is super affordable, and I love trying new things and knowing that everything will taste fantastic every time. I bring family who visit here, and they all loved it! Overall it is a great Vietnamese restaurant!
This is the one of the best places on the planet to eat. This is a beautiful place where you are greeted by a very professional staff. The prices are fair for the value of it all. We are always delighted upon each and every return.
This is a great place to try Vietnamese food. It is very nice, but small on the inside. If you are looking for ultimate privacy, this might not be the best because the tables are some what close together. However, if you are there to enjoy a delicious meal... Look no further. I will be back.
My vietnamese friend thinks this is not authentic at all. I as a Chinese does not like the flavor compared the real vietnamese food I had. This looks like fake Chinese food.
If you want the best spring rolls in Philly, look no further. Great wait staff and food is good
Went there at my very first night in Philadelphia after reading the overwhelming reviews. my experience wasnt great at all. sunday evening and the restaurant was quite empty. waitress seemed bored and far from enthusiastic. i had two dishes; the papaya salad was pale and far from reminding the sharp, spicy, tasteful salads you get in Thai restaurants. the lamb chopsticks were very mild. nothing exciting indeed. i was missing the strong spices and tastes you expect to have in an oriental restaurant. bottom line, its OK, but definitely nothing special.
Quick service, friendly and helpful staff, huge portion sizes, nice decorations and ambience
This quiet, intimate setting for delicious Vietnamese food is the best. The waiters are extremely good at what they do and the food is reasonably priced but delicious with healthy portions. I recommend this place!
Great presentation of food. Services was great. Delicious food.
Great food and great staff. Very clean, and fast service. It is a little drafty when the front door is open, and rest rooms were very cold. It is number one for great food. I am a repeat customer, and will be again.
Absolutely loved the appetizers. But the entrees were off by a long way. The pho was too salty and the salmon was too dry. The decor was good.
This is a great place to go if you are in the mood for vietnamese food. The tables are close together but makes for a cozy feel. For appetizer must get the BBQ platter, everything on there is delicious! You must get a cocktail to go with it they are so good! Service is great. Prices are mid range but it is worth it. A must try!
A yummy place to eat Pho as well as many other traditional Vietnamese cuisine. The setting is a bit more upscale than many of the neighboring restaurants in Chinatown.
Delicious food and friendly service
A good and very consistent dining experience. Definitely just as good, if not better, than the restaurant across the street.I have eaten so many meals here that, the more I think about it, I am growing ashamed...
We really enjoyed our date here. It is just a great restaurant. Everything tasted fresh and clean. I have never had Vietnam food but was very good and I would go there again and again.
The food was excellent. Quiet atmosphere and friendly staff that was quite helpful for tourists.
Really delicious food. The lemongrass soup is perfectly spicy and really flavorful. One of my go-tos if I want something to warm me up!
The food was delicious! I got the beef pho deluxe. The waiter was very friendly. Very nice place too.
Best chicken skewers in the USA. All of my co-workers love them. I also suggest to try spring rolls and salt battered seafoods
Great little spot for the best Vietnamese dishes. Very tasty food for someone who is trying it the first time. With walking distance from Philadelphia convention center.
Fantastic service, and great food. Its the first place that Ive been to that has offered bbq pork in pho. I highly recommend adding it to whatever you usually get. It may be the best ingredient Ive ever had in a pho dish anywhere. The grilled squid appetizer is solid too.
