South Philly provided outstanding service during a very stressful time. Their dispatcher Albert was courteous, knowledgeable and most importantly, effective. Their driver, Miguel, was outstanding as well. He arrived earlier than promised. I hope you never need a tow company, but if you do dont call anyone but South Philly Towing. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Everyone I spoke with at South Philly Towing was incredibly friendly and helpful, from the person answering the phone to the man who towed my car. I was quoted about 20-25 minutes for the truck to arrive and it was accurate almost down to the minute. When we got to the garage where I needed to get my tire repaired the driver coordinated with the shop to make sure my car was left in a convenient location for them rather than just dropping it off and leaving. Ultimately I would recommend this service for anyone who needs a tow in Philly!

My car was towed and I called all around Philly and none of the 6 businesses I called had it. South Philly Towing didnt either, but Albert gave me amazing advice on how to find my car and told me about courtesy towing. With his info I was able to find my car. He went out of his way to help me and give me advice. Will be using them in the future if I ever need to!

All 4 tires of my car were stolen and it was extremely difficult to find a towing company to take my car to the dealership. Albert was extremely nice over the phone, professional and helpful. Normally getting your car towed would be a horrible day-ruining experience. Not here! Albert was the kindest and professional, understanding worker. He put my mind at ease and understood that people get upset over this but creates a great experience in redeeming the car. If you are to get towed, I hope its by them!

Highly recommended ! My friend & I were traveling from DC to NY when we caught a flat tire on the I78E near Bethlehem, PA. We sat in the car on the side of the highway for 5 hours. Two tow trucks came and left us there before Mike was willing to come out and get us. We caught a flat tire on Sunday evening right around the time all mechanics and tire places were closing in that area. The only way we would be able to get a replacement tire and make it home was to travel a hour away into Philly to a 24 hour tire spot. South Philly towing was the only towing company that was willing to drive a hour from Philly to pick us up and bring us back into Philly. Thanks again Mike !

This place is not hard to find and the guy I met there was very helpful however it was not the place that had my vehicle which is not to be confused with the place on 3200 61st ... Call em double check

This week there was an illegally parked car blocking my garage for 3 days, despite the posted George Smith sign. The Philly PD ticketed the vehicle twice. George Smith, in an appalling lapse of customer service, failed to remove the vehicle. So I called South Philly Towing, who promptly removed the offender. So, Mr. Smith, if you want your sign back it will be in the trash (where it belongs) on Wednesday, trash day in my neighborhood. I highly recommend South Philly Towing, personable, professional, just what you want in any company.

The guys that worked in the office ( I think Mike and Albert) when I went to pick up my car were awesome!! The guy that actually towed my car... was not so awesome. He damaged my exhaust system. Bent the muffler and the pipe somehow, only thing I can think of is he backed into something. My guy over at ACCUTUNE (Johnny Flowers) repaired it at no charge. I got the impression that South philly towing wasnt going to pay for it even if he did charge me.

Called at 10pm on a friday night and said could tow for $285 but never showed-up or called back !!😟

They were professional and did exactly what they were supposed to do! They also answered a few questions pertaining to my vehicle situation that had nothing to do with them towing.

So I’m headed to Philly on a Friday night. I was 10mins away from my exit when a cluster of potholes caused my front right (passenger side) tire to get a flat and then pop. Terrifying!!!! I head over to the left to get off of the highway and on to the shoulder. To my right, cars a ZOOMING by in the fast lane. I call my insurance company immediately! They had me on hold for soooOoOooOo long and took forever to find me a local tow truck company. After getting feed up, I did some Google’s of my own and called a few places. A lot of the companies said that I “was in a dangerous location and it would take a while to find someone to service me”. Mind you, my flat tire is facing the express lane so unless the company had equipment to block off the lane, I was pretty much on my own. After 2 hours of searching, I finally called South Philly Towing and there was NO long explanation…. someone was sent RIGHT away! Mike showed up and quickly towed me off of the highway and into a nearby parking lot to safely change my tire. He realized that my back tire on the right had a nail in it… most likely from the debris on the shoulder. He used something (I forget what it was called) but it fixed the air leak and I was back on the road again. I can’t thank Mike enough for his amazing service! That was the first time I had ever caught a flat. Can’t believe my insurance company let me down and I had to find answers on my own…… Thanks again Mike for going above and beyond!

When your car breaks down it is a bad experience but I have to say South Philly Towing made it a good experience. When I called I got Albert who was very pleasant and funny. I would give this towing company six stars if I could. Last week my sister and I found ourselves stranded in Delaware in a rental car with a flat tire. The rental was not equipped with a spare tire and we needed to be towed to a Firestone 15 minutes away. After TWO different towing companies sent by Triple A refused to help us because we had my two dachshunds in the car, this towing company drove all the way to Delaware to save us. Im so appreciative for what they did and my story proves they are truly outstanding. Please give them your business!

After 7 towing companies couldn’t help me out, South Philly Towing saved the day. My car was stuck in a multilevel garage from Wednesday to Friday. I went thru 7 companies that “couldn’t help me”. By the time Mike called me, he was already in the garage and ready to hook my car (something that no other company did). Mike was so courteous, friendly, and professional. I wish they would’ve been my towing company from the start! Don’t hesitate to call them, the dispatcher was extremely helpful (you really can’t say that about most towing companies). I cannot recommend them enough!

Wanted over $600 for a 15 miles towing. Needless to say I didn’t use them.

Towing was fine, but when he dropped us off at the dealership (on a highway) at 1AM in the morning, he left us there. Our cell phones were dead and we couldnt call anybody. I even just asked him to take us to the exit that was in the same direction he was heading in, so he wouldnt have to waste any time and he refused to. If you want to be left stranded, use this service. Drivers name was Michael, apparently the son of the owner.

DO NOT USE: WILL LEAVE YOU STRANDED AND TELL YOU MULTIPLE TIMES THEY WILL SEND A TOW BUT IF THEY DONT FEEL LIKE IT, I ASSUME. THEY ONLY TELL YOU THAT TO PLEASE YOU FOR 3 HOURS AND THEN IGNORE YOUR PHONE CALLS!After calling and getting a reasonable price I asked for the tow and was told it would be about a half hour. After about 45 minutes the tow man called and said he was almost there and I gave him my exact location and where to look for me. After about 30 minutes I called the tow mans number back and he did not answer. I called South Philly Towing and the rudest person I have ever encountered told me there was traffic and before I could speak hung up on me. After about 2 hours of waiting I again called South Philly Towing and spoke with the same man. In an angry voice he told me there is traffic and it will be a half hour, do I still want the tow? At this point I was totally confused because the first tow truck driver was supposed to be close. I said that yes, I did STILL need to be towed and tried to ask him a questions again but before I had a chance was hung up on. I waited over 3 hours for a tow that I was told would come multiple times and never did. DO NOT USE SOUTH PHILLY TOWING! Worst people I have ever spoken or dealt with. They would have left me to die in the cold and just stopped answering my calls. I finally called a friend and left my car.

This company is just amazing! I had a flat tire and the spare doesnt fit. Had to call towing service to tow to the dealers service department. Reached out to the State Farms referred towing company, waited two hours in the freezing wind, nothing came, NOTHING. Canceled it and looked up another one nearby and found South Philly Towing. Called them and the call was answered right away, literally 0 second wait. Mike Otterson picked up my call and he said he had another job ahead of mine and could just get to my location in 40 minutes or so. He arrived EXACTLY in 40 minutes as he promised!!! Oh My God! What else do you need other than a fast, responsive, friendly, and on-time roadside service? Mike finished the towing in 5 minutes and we are free to go home! Mike is just AMAZING! The moment I arrived home, he texted us with a picture of the car parked in front of the dealers service department. This makes the customer feels so good and relieved. Thanks to Mikes reliable and fast service! This company is just AMAZING! I would give them more than five stars if I could. My truck key got locked in while out at the Eagles game. My phone was dying and at 2am Mike from South Philly Tow came and found me!! Hit a pothole by the south street on ramp on I76 East bound on 9-14 during the rainy evening. I had an instant blow out and resulting need for a tow. BMW roadside assistance service linked me up with South Philly Tow and Mike was there within 10 mins. He was professional, knowledgeable, and very conversative.Ive read multiple reviews on here and the disgruntled negative reviews are outliers. Mike and his father run an excellent, well maintained business and their customer service is impeccable. My only regret is the amount of time it has taken me to write this as Im just getting back from an overseas business trip.Again, thank you Mike and South Philly tow for the service and hopefully I wont need you in the near future but if I do... I know who to call.

Called for a tow after I had been stood up by another towing company, guy named Michael answered, gave me really reasonable price quote right away and told me 40 minutes. I was happy with that, but then about ten minutes later he called me back and said he was passing my way finishing another tow and offered to grab my keys and told me I didnt need to wait around and said he would drop my car at my house shortly. He was at my house only minutes after I arrived, he did an excellent job of towing and was very accommodating, he was super cool and very professional, I would not call anyone other than south philly towing if I need another tow in the future, I highly recommend this company if u want reliable honest service.
