UPDATE: After my refund was processed and this review was posted, someone from DESHI texted me a screenshot of my 3-star Google review. They said, “Hello this is the DESHI team -This was very disappointing to see after we made sure you were well taken care of. We went above and beyond to make sure we could help you. This is why companies have a no refund policy and we went against ours to make sure you felt heard.” I responded, “There is nothing inaccurate or misleading in my review. I clearly stated that the owner agreed to refund the gel mani. Please do not contact me again.” They said, “Thank you again for reminding us on why we have our company policies! Enjoy your day.”If the experience I had (read original review below), plus then being texted by the shop like this is being “well taken care of,” I’d hate to see what they consider poor customer service. I am really shocked that they texted me like this. This is precisely why I won’t change my review—my experience with the owner was absurd, and my texts with whoever this person is were similarly bad.ORIGINAL REVIEW: I got a regular pedicure and gel manicure. The price was $90 ($45 for each service) plus I gave a 20% tip on top. My tech was lovely. My pedicure was fine (hence 3 stars). My gel manicure was not (it would get 1 star). The tech had me put my hands back under the light multiple times because the polish still felt sticky to her. Then, I noticed as soon as I walked outside that the top coat had bubbled on several nails, and then by the time I got to my car, the polish was peeling/rolling up on the sides of multiple nails. So I turned around and walked back to the salon to get them to remove it. Although my tech offered to do gel or regular paint, I did not have time to get either done (my gel mani took an hour), so I just asked for it to be removed and for a refund. My tech was very apologetic and removed the gel. I posted photos here of how my nails looked after removal.The owner then came out to talk to me about my requested refund. This was my first pedicure and I’m honestly disappointed. $45 is too much for the services they provide for a male. In addition to the high price, the technician scrubbed so hard on the side of my foot (no callus was there in the first place) I still have a sore there over a month later. I tried contacting the salon and I haven’t heard anything back. The atmosphere there is good and all the employees are friendly but I would of liked to see them own up to their mistake.

No better way to spend my time than getting a facial treatment by Deshi! Absolutely wonderful first experience, and I can’t wait to go back!

Best experience at a nail salon and spa I’ve ever had! Absolutely loved it, they use all non chemical polishes and just have the cutest little salon. Evelyn did a lash and makeover that just transformed my little face! Can’t say enough about these folks!

I moved to Pensacola in April & was happy to find an amazing place to get my pedicures! It’s always hard to find a good, clean reliable place. And by clean I mean free of toxins as well as the techniques they use while working on you. I haven’t found a place like this before. I love Julyah as she helped me get ready for my wedding in August. The last time I saw her she cracked me up and made my day and always remembers me . I also have had Evelin who is also amazing & super sweet! Love this place and it’s always my highlight of the day!

Went in for a pedicure for my daughter and she had some cactus splines in her heel. The ladies went above and beyond trying to get them out for about an hour! They were wonderful! Pedicure was great too! Will definitely be going back! Highly recommend!!

Wow. Overpriced pedicure that didnt even include thorough callus remover. I could do better myself at home. My eyebrows are a disaster. I asked to clean them not to shape them, and added that I like them full, but no that was too much to ask. The pedicure technician was very nice and professional though. Couldnt wait to get out and never come back. Would never recommend.

Evelin is the BEST nail tech Ive ever had in my life, and I sincerely mean that She is so knowledgeable, hilarious, and TALENTED!!! The salon is gorgeous, clean and luxurious. I was visiting from the west coast, and I could not be more sad that I cant see Evelin for every nail appointment. She is the Nail QUEEN, dont pass up the chance to see her if youre in the area!

Let me first start off by saying these ladies are amazing! And the appointment set up online is super easy. I went in just to have my nails done and it feels like I left making a few new friends. The lady that did my nails was super sweet. She explained every thing she was doing for me, seeing as I had never had gel extensions done before. I would recommend this place to anyone. I came in with paper thin, peeling nails, but their gel manicure saved my nails after only 2 visits. I dont know exactly what makes the products different, but it is superior to other services Ive gotten (sns dips, OPI gel, etc), and they do a great job applying it. Ive actually had to acclimate to longer, harder, natural nails (spoiler: feels amazing)! This is a crew of intelligent and cool ladies, and I cant recommend them enough.

Such a great salon! Julia’s attention to detail resulted in a great manicure with great service. I had such a great experience. They aren’t about getting as many customers through the door as possible, they’re more about making sure the customer is happy. As an added perk, I was treated with massage oil scented with rose essential oil. I have been smelling like roses all day!

The shop itself is beautiful and a great location, however, I made an appointment online and my technician was 20-30 minutes late. The other employees were very unprofessional in their conversations with each other in front of guests and to guests, in my opinion. My nails looked good and the nail tech did a great job with the exception of being late which made me late for my day.I will not being returning. I expected more and a better experience.

Called on phone to ask availability. Didnt ask if i had gel nails. Since it was 35 minutes until closing pretty much was told they couldnt do anything for me. Never will go back and will never refer to a friend.

I like the look of it, but it looks better than it feels in there. The bench seating was not comfortable to me. After I got home, 2 hours after getting my pedicure, I took my socks off. It looked like she hadnt scrubbed them at all. My feet should not, under any circumstances, look like this 2 hours after a pedicure. I definitely will not be back. My friend who was with me said hers look the same way. 😠

I usually just pop in for a pedicure when my husband is getting his hair cut at Volume One next door.Today I did the same but they were busy. I hate that I couldn’t do my pedicure, but am thrilled they are busy.The salon is amazing. It doesn’t smell of acrylic nonsense and is soothing and relaxing. The ladies that work there are a dream. I will not go anywhere else. My feet will literally grow talons first.So if you want an incredible manicure or pedicure, call and make an appointment, because word is out!

I wont go to any other nail salon while Im in Pensacola. The girls here really take care of their customers and the whole salon is Very clean. They are a one of a kind salon that is concerned with the toxicity of todays beauty products so they care only none toxic products. Polishes are 5 and 10-Free, they sell none toxic makeup brands and do facials. 10 out of 10 recommend.

Excellent customer service and amazing pedicures! They won’t let you leave unless you’re happy! They do incredible work and put the customer first! Recently had the lash lift done, as well. All the gals are great!

Honestly my mother in-law and I were disappointed with our experience this past weekend. Our makeup stylist was very unprofessional and unorganized. She seemed to not be able to find make up and or tools that she needed. Also she was constantly texting while she was supposed to be doing my make up! I showed a picture with a fierce cat eye yet she didn’t give me one. Honestly I could’ve done my make up myself! Poor service all the way around. When we went outside for her to take pictures of my make up she ran off to great a friend leaping into his arms.. Must’ve been the person she was texting the whole time.~ The bride Whitney

The absolute best nail salon in Pensacola let alone Escambia County. Deshi is so clean and such a beautiful atmosphere, from the cute pillows to the stainless steel tubs for the pedicures. The nail techs are so miticulous, and really take their time to make sure everything is done to perfection. I would give 10 stars if I could.

Wow. From start to finish one of the best mani/pedi experiences. Felicia was great. I like that she checked with me to be sure I was happy throughout and listened to what I wanted. She took her time, and the results are fantastic.Deshi is hands down the sweetest and most friendly proprietor I’ve encountered in a long time. She sat and chatted with me as well as the other clients and suggested the gorgeous glitter that now adorns my fingernails. She also took care of my wayward eyebrows, sculpting them in a way I can now give my beloved husband my most stern look! Very disappointed! My three year old daughter had her first mani and pedi at the salon. The polish came off her fingers and toes the next day! I called the salon and learned that we were overcharged by $20 for my daughter’s services. The owner said she couldn’t refund our card. She offered a facial or a gift certificate — neither was realistic since we are on vacation and booked for the rest of our stay. The owner finally agreed to give me cash for the amount she overcharged me but she wouldn’t refund me for the services. She blamed my daughter and said it’s probably because she picked off the polish, which isn’t true. She did offer to do a repolish but I turned it down since we didn’t have the luxury of time in our schedule. We spent a lot on other services while at the salon, and I was disappointed by the owner’s response.

DESHI is simply amazing, I can’t say enough good things about this salon! It’s a modern, upscale salon with incredible staff and service. Evelynn has done my manis and she is a nail god- I always leave with my nails looking perfect and she has saved my nails from being ruined from gel and SNS to growing long and healthy with their use of products that don’t have harsh chemicals. Definitely must go in if you’re in Pensacola!

If there is a perfect nail salon, this is IT! Deshi is a clean, high-end decor, well run salon with extremely caring and client-focused staff. Can you believe real lavendar in the soaking water? Champagne with your mani-pedi? Formaldehyde free polish? I was amazed and that doesnt t happen often. Love this place - finally a pretty AND very professional nail salon right downtown. And they do facials.... aaaahhhhhh. Perfect.
