My son had been attending classes at Parks for almost a year and watching him in class is like night and day. When he first began, he was a mess! Totally unfocused and completely unable to even sit still for even a minute! Now he has laser focus in class and the good behavior carries over to our home life! He’s disciplined and completely dedicated to his craft! He’s only 4!!! I attribute this change in his behavior to the AMAZING staff at Parks! They take the time to understand and get to know their student! They know what works with each child and work individually with kids to make sure no one is left behind. Parks has also totally prepared my son to start school this year too! I was so nervous that he would not be able to sit still and pay attention in a classroom setting... now I watch him come home and practice his combinations on his own because he’s so goal oriented and focused! My son ADORES his instructors and so do I! I’ve even signed up to take the kickboxing classes... I’m so happy that we found a place that makes us feel like family!

My son Christian and I have been training at Parks Martial Arts Pembroke Pines for over 3 years. Training at Parks has been one of the best decisions I have made in my life. The Family Class is a unique opportunity to share quality time with my son and at the same time I get in shape both physically and mentally. Instructors Sebastian and Chris are top class martial artists, we are so privileged to learn from them. What I like the most is that Parks philosophy is not only about to develop physical and mental skills but most important about values such as respect, courage, integrity, and never give up in life.

I can’t possibly say enough about the school and the staff they are amazing. My son is just achieved his brown belt and I love how they work with him they don’t make it easy by no means they know how to push him to get him to achieve his goals. And I am a perfectionist so for me this place is perfection . I recommend anybody looking for a school check this one out first I have been to a couple different schools that are rated really high but none of them seem to match this one. I look forward to my son achieving his black belt and I am confident he will get better at Parks

My son has been going to Parks Martial Arts-Pembroke Pines for almost 4 years. He is focused, disciplined and very motivated. The school is very family oriented with its classes and teachings. There are monthly activities for the students to participate and bond with each other. The Master and Instructors encourage and speak to the students that are not focused in school or at home, so they could be motivated again. They praise and also discipline, so the students grow to be polite and loyal as well as strong martial artists. The student that is focused and really wants to train, will excel in this school.

The instructors at Parks work extremely hard to offer a great summer program, as well as a great martial arts structure and program. My kid has been going for more than a year. The Instructors work extremely hard to bring discipline, determination and a great structure to the students of the school. Master Schick has good students in his class, and teaches them to be kind to all living things. Show compassion and Courage. This is a Great school and my son has been going for more than a year. He is the youngest Purple belt at only 4 years old. If you are looking for a great place to take your child to learn discipline, focus, and have passion in something. This is the place to be. All the parents know each other, and some of us have even taken the kids bowling. Some of the parents even take kick boxing glasses as well. Lots of fun and great instructors. Come on down to parks and meet the parents and instructors. They even have a night every month that they hold an event for the kids, and the parents can go have dinner or have a night off. This last month it was laser tag. The kids and parents alike love the instructors, who work hard to invite children and adults of all ages to challenge themselves and learn martial arts.

As an adult I attended Parks for many years for physical conditioning. Of course the conditioning was terrific, but my attendance also allowed me to view how the Parks program instilled confidence, respect, and discipline into the younger students. I watched many teen youths potentially on the edge of trouble mold into confident successful teens. When my children were old enough to join Parks I placed them in the program. The Parks program and well trained instructors made my life easier as a parent and was partially responsible for developing my children into successful and responsible adults. I cannot say enough good things about Parks and their program.

I loved this place for my kids, and my kids loved it too. The facility is nice and clean, well kept, and the instructors work extremely well with the children. They have an abundance of patience, and work exceptionally well even with the very small children who take more effort due to their lack of concentration. We purchased a 6 week special for 2 kids. One of the things I can critique is the cost for the 6 week special includes 6 classes and uniform. Flat Rate. However, when you purchase the special, they require you to purchase an additional bundle necessary to the classes- of equivalent price. And this is only disclosed after you purchase the special. So in the end it costs double, and the charges are not at all transparent in the advertisements. Now, the classes are wonderful and probably worth every penny. In our second class the instructor politely came and asked us about our interest in enrolling to the regular program, gave us the pricing, and information. However, every time I went for the classes the same instructor would push for an answer. Every time I called to schedule their classes, he would push for an answer again. This makes things quite uncomfortable considering we had not yet decided and we ultimately stopped going before our trial period even ended because of this. Those would be my only two, but strong, negative comments. Otherwise, the facility is very nice and the classes are a lot of fun.

This place is horrible !!! Do not register your children here. First they deceive you with the prices and their false offers, then they want you to pay more for these classes in which you have sometimes more than 30 Children in a class of 30 min! I made the serious mistake of putting my 3-year-old son in this school, and the treatment they gave him was horrible! They shouted at him and talked to him like he was a 10-year-old boy! Supposedly so that he would learn discipline and self-control, what ridiculous to do in a 3-year-old boy only ... and not only that! The stupid teacher pushed my son in the back and head !! And thenHe took him out of the class and put it in a corner, and obviously my son came out crying from that class! If you can call it that ... and my son does not want to know anything about karate, and all because of this school that does not work but only to get money from customers! The teachers do not have patience with children of 3 years old, do not put your children here!Classes combine with children from 3 to almost 6 years! Crazy! And since there are so many children in one class, teachers were only two for such a huge class they lose control and start treating students badly ... look for other options, this was the worst I could choose ...Look for the agreement, so you know who I am, you should remember you kept my money without give my son more than 1 class ( if you could call it a class).First of all, please hire someone with a degree for your customer service Rep. Second of all I’m not a troll, stop calling names to your customers cause that makes you look worst. Not professional at all, I don’t need to say more. Keep thinking you’re the best martial arts academy.. and the world is square right?. God bless and by the way I don’t believe in karma.

I started at Parks when I was 4 years old and went through the program until I reached my black belt. I can honestly say that this program helped shape me into the person I am today. The creed and powerful teaching of perseverance ingrained in me the belief that I can achieve anything and helped me excel in multiple sports as well with school all the way through graduating from University of Florida architecture program. I now am working in my field today with great people who are passionate about what they do. If you have positivity and drive, you will attract the same. Courtesy, modesty, integrity, perseverance, self control, and indomitable spirit is the creed that all kids should be taught to lead their life by.

Don’t even know how to start this there is really no words on how to describe the impotent feeling of a parent my son was currently attending this place they keep sending me a promo for $69.00 to start as a try out everything was going on not well but still decided to give this place the opportunity to prove me something different and enrolled my son to the program that is about $179.00 a month which it sound reasonable considering that he could attend class three to four days out of the week how ever they never told you when you signed the contract because yes people you most signed a one year contract but please read the fine print because there is where they get you you can’t terminate the contract when your child does want to attend class because he feels scared how the instructor talks to them, or because they made you purchase the same gloves three time at the charge of $38.00 and they don’t want to give you a refund because even though he only use them for 10 minutes of the class with the excuse that they where new and can’t give those to other kids which I totally understand but Thais glove where not new to being with they never open a package or come from a bag nothing at all and they look use but still you are on the wrong but can’t proof to you that are new how convenience right, but going back to the contract part please keep in mind that this place lacks you in there are only two ways you could come out of the contract one you most proof that your child is real ill and can’t preforme same physical activities as normal or two because or relocation you also have to have proof new lease and have utilities under your name in the new address. How crazy it is that in America USA you can’t make a normal decision to just part ways because you don’t agree with the treatment to your child, or because you realized how this place just wants to take advantage of you on every way possible economically. Please do your research don’t be a fool like me and don’t take your kids here believe looks can’t be deceiving this is not a kids friendly place worst experience ever.

I am so grateful to the instructors in this school. They have helped and continue to help my son in many ways. My son suffers from Asthma, ADHD and is also having some weight issues for an 8yr old. Focusing and following directions has always been a big problem for him especially in school. He has only been in class for almost 2 months and already a noticeable change and big impact in his behavior in school. His progress report came home with an A in English and Math. The best part was the note from his teacher stating how much he had improved in class with following directions and using his time constructively. When he started he couldnt handle running without crying or giving up.... he no longer gives up, he keeps pushing himself harder each time. Again so happy I enrolled him in class here.

We disputed the charge with the credit card company and luckily we were able to get a full refund, but it took like 2 months. While my child was there, she moved up to an orange belt but I felt she really learned nothing. They simply try to move kids up in belt level so they can make more money. ***PLEASE READ BEFORE***My son took his Nintendo 3Ds to the school. He was playing with it as the rest of the students were trickling in. Upon them getting called to the floor, my son zipped up his system and placed it in one of the cubby holes towards the back of the school. When we got home that day, he told us he got it stolen. We immediately called the school at ~5:45 and asked to speak to the instructor Sebastian who told us HE would pull video once he was done with classes since he was there with only one other person. We called up a second time about an hour later to let him know exactly where my son left it, asked if there was a camera pointed in that direction, he said “Yes, this shouldn’t be a problem. I’ll call you once we’re done with that day around 9pm to let you know”They never called. We called several times from 9-9:30 and all we got was the voicemail.I showed up there the following morning 6/20/2018 and spoke to the person in the front. Sebastian wasn’t there and Mr. Shick wasn’t going to be in till later. Asked her to PLEASE have them call me, left them my number and email, and they didn’t call the entire day. I had to chase them down throughout the day. To which he said “They’ve been searching all day and can’t find it” So I asked him “What about the cameras?” and now the story changes to where he doesn’t have access. So I ask him “When will Shick be in?” He tells me later that day. So, I call up around 4pm to make sure, and now Mr. Shick isn’t going to be there because he has family in town.At this point I think to myself “The owner of a business who had theft happen inside the business less than 24 hours ago while cameras were recoding not doing anything to get to the bottom of this is quite suspiciousI called the cops on the way home to file a report and to meet me up there. They advised to ask them specifically if the tape will be good for the following day (I was worried that they would either erase or lie) So, I show up around 7pm to pick up my sons glasses and he tells me I should be fine by tomorrow.Fast forward to today 6/21/2018. I called up during lunch and spoke to Shick. He then tells me the footage isn’t good. His system doesn’t record, and even if it did, it cut off by now. But he asked the kids and they all denied it. I told him that’s very convenient of it to cut off. He then tells me maybe if my son were more responsible this wouldn’t happen. Touché to that, I agree. But I asked him how does it feel to harbor a thief? To which he began screaming at me “He doesn’t have kids like that” So I asked him again “Check the footage, seems as you’re trying to hide something at this point He then tells me “He doesn’t have to do anything and you’re a bully” Never been called that in my life.So before you go sending your child here know that you’re PAYING for a school where the owner covers up thieves and practices misleading flyers!!

Our family is having a fantastic experience with Parks Tae Kwon Do. My son started about two years ago. He is now a high brown belt. We have since enrolled my daughter, as well. She is currently a purple belt. This program not only teaches children Tae Kwon Do and self-defense, but it teaches them discipline, respect, responsibility, anti-bullying techniques, and creates confidence in the child. The instructors teach the children to respect each other, and to respect their parents and other adults. At times, my childrens teachers had to sign off on a progress report, in order for my children to earn their next belts. Parks Tae Kwon Do teaches the children that this lifestyle and philosophy extends beyond the Tae Kwon Do school. My childrens teachers had to recognize them for maintaining their school obligations - grades, behavior, etc. If there are any behaviors at home that parents want to improve, Parks will request to the child that the child works on that behavior.Obviously, the exercise is great for children and adults, as well. It promotes a healthy lifestyle. I would highly recommend Parks Tae Kwon Do to other parents. It is a great opportunity to build your childs confidence, and instill some basic character building traits in your child.Amy Givoni

This school is a joke. When I asked when I could come in to watch or participate in a sparring class, he told me to come back after hours and he would give me an hour in the ring. I might have to take him up on it soon.

My sister had her baby in this school and when she made a pleasure, the owner called the police and gave him a traspass warning. Now she cant go back to that place. If she does, she is arrested, when she was talking to the police outside the business, the girl who works at the shoe store next door says that the police always arrive there for the same situation. How sad that people do not have costumer service skills, how sad that this Korean man believes he is still living in Korea. In this country the customer is always right !!!!!
