Went back to speak to a manager… manager said call the police, we changed the oil and we have camera. I asked if he would look at it to check his employee’s work and he said no! I just came from this business. I was there to get my Inspection for which they charged $25.50. My vehicle did not pass inspection because I need to drive it more. You see, I had a recall in my Honda Pilot & yesterday I picked it up from the dealership, ran a small errand & came home. So it just needs to be driven more, I get it...but why cant they offer me to come back once I have driven it enough. I asked and was refused. I imagine they only care about making a few bucks here and there and not earning loyal customers. I know $25 is not much, but now I have to spend this money again and there are sooo many bills, the list goes on. Its hard to just give your money away and get no help. If they had allowed me to come back they get a customer for life and a great review to tell others about their caring service but no! they dont care!!!! SOOO never going back!

The big difference youre going to notice here is that Kwik Kar is owner operated. Meaning he cares if you come back, vs corporate auto repair locations. Ive found customer service to be exceptional and quick. Highly recommend.

Went to the Pearland location on Broadway to have my wifes car inspected. 1 day later my check engine light came on, and the car had trouble starting. Thought maybe it could be bad gas since she hasnt been driving it much with the kids doing virtual learning (practically sitting in the driveway.) We drove it until it needed more gas and were still getting the same issue and the battery finally died. Replaced battery thinking that may have been the issue the whole time. Still not starting right away. Jad a diagnostics check elsewhere, and they said it was a cam shaft sensor fault. So I looked up where to find it and the wires had been cut. We will never go to this place again nor will anyone I know!

We have used this location since it originally opened. I’m not sure if there was an ownership change or what happened to them. They did not put the car back together. Found out the day after. Left oil cap off, that’s why the alarm kept going off in the car. They couldn’t shut the hood, they forced it shut. Oil is on the engine. He Called to tell them and they gave him a hard time, they even hung up on him. My husband went back and the owner came out with an attitude. He settled down, looked up we had been going there for over 20 years. Offered a free oils change next time and put on new wiper blades. We will never go back. Nor will the rest of our family. My son had an issue with an oil change there as well. I suggest if anyone needs any maintenance done go elsewhere!

Update 10/13/20....the companys response that they provide below is entirely false. What I have written in my review is 100% what happened.Strange service at this location. Let me start by saying that my wifes work vehicle is a late model 2007 Honda Pilot with more than 170K miles on it. Other than being old as heck, it is otherwise a reliable car. It has a noisy power steering pump (after market Autozone), but otherwise everything on the car works. The technician, I think Tyler is his name, is very unprofessional, and I definitely wouldnt want him representing my company. I have been there in the past for an oil change on my truck, and he was using language around me, the customer, that showed zero respect. Definitely isnt customer focused. The manager Eddie is a nice enough person, but Im not 100% confident of his technical understanding of automobiles.After the technician looked at my wifes car, he instructed the manager to let my wife know that they cant work on the car because it is: 1. Too old, 2. It is leaking power steering fluid, 3. It is leaking oil, 4. It has high miles.I know that the car is not leaking any fluid, so I called back to speak to Eddie, who told me it is their policy to not work older vehicles that have high miles, and oil leaks. After explaining that I know that I dont have a leak, he then said yeah you can see it with a flashlight under the car. I asked if he saw it, and he said no. I asked about the power steering leak, and informed him that I am 100% sure that Im not leaking power steering, and he refused to answer that. He did get frustrated with me on the phone as I asked him the question a few more times since it was part of the determination on why they couldnt change my wifes oil.Overall, the technician is rude, and probably hates his job. Im pretty sure he gets paid whether he does jobs or not. I went to a different Kwik Kar, and they didnt see the issues...so they changed my wifes oil. I asked them to take a picture of the oil pan underneath the car to verify there wasnt a leak. Just as expected...no leak. Maybe he has other reasons for not wanting to service my wifes car.

I paid for synthetic oil out the bottle Mobil 1 full synthetic and i saw the guy get oil from the gun. On top of that they DID NOT even change my oil filter. So they charged me for a oil filter they did not even change and Mobil 1 full synthetic oil whenever they gave me cheap oil. Manager denied it and told me i was being delusional. I have been to Kwik Kar Lube five times in the past two years for everything from state inspection to wiper fluid. They are fast, courteous and pleasant people who always get the job done faster than I expect. They are very agreeable about checking any sounds or things that dont seem right. My wife and I took our family suv for a quick oil change a few weeks ago. First time going here and the manager is very rude and disrespectful. I over heard him saying that im a cheap a** customer in his office for not buying a transmission flush and wiper blades. I know our suv didnt needed a transmission flush because we just had it serviced at theΒ  chevrolet dealership. I didnt bother of wasting my time or confronting him about it because we were in a hurry. I am a long time customer at this location, mostly for oil changes and inspections. I bet I have been there 25 times. I went last week to have a headlight replaced....i brought the new bulb with me. After explaining to the tech who greeted me, he seemed unsure, but proceeded as I told him it had been done there once before. About 20 minutes later, he checks me out to the tune of $90! My mouth fell open. He said something about the labor and the time. I came back to see the mgr next day, he seemed to want to convince me how normal this was, and how he was hired to make sure the place makes money. Actually, they won’t if they are ok with losing long time customers over a headlight replacement.

I have been here couple of times for an oil change. The manager is rude and does NOT car about his employees and customers!!! He takes advantage of customers, especially elders, teens, and woman. The only good thing about this place is how nice and friendly the employees are. Last time i came here for an oil change, i saw a oil semi truck pull around the shop and it got me wondering, why? It was NOT a moblie 1 truck. It was some other oil company. The only mobile 1 oil they have is from the bottle, which is expensive. This place needs to be investigated because this shop is FALSE ADVERTISING OIL AND LYING TO THE CUSTOMERS!!!!

They have no clue what there doing when it comes to working on a customers car. They wasted 2 days and couldnt get the correct parts for my vehicle. It eventually had to stay the weekend in there shop and then they wasted another day. I had to call the car dealers part department myself to get the part numbers for the parts I needed in hopes that they would finish and every time I went to check on my car they always had an excuse as to why its not done. I eventually had to tell them to stop dont touch my vehicle anymore. I got a trailer and took it away to get it finished. A week prior to them working on my vehicle they changed my oil and checked everything else like air filters etc... Well after I fix the other issue myself and got it back on the road again. I noticed it idling rough in park and found that when they checked my air filter they never secured it closed which caused me to have multiple miss fires. Unfortunately Im going to need to look into it further because it is still miss firing even after I changed the filter and secured the box closed. I didnt have the miss firing issue when I first took my vehicle to this shop. In my opinion your better off taking your vehicle someplace else with a better track record.

Had my last few oil changes here. Every time the price would be around $5 more than the previous visit. I was already thinking twice about returning. And then today, only 1 week after oil change, I’m having tires serviced at Firestone, and as routine service they check oil. Well.... my dip stick is missing. Gone. Not there. I called Kwik Kar to let them know that I would love to stop by and pick up the dip stick they forgot to return to my car. Man claims there is no dip stick there. After a few mins of me explaining there is no other place it could be, the convo ends without a resolution. I will not be returning and will advice others to avoid as well. Good customer service can go a long way. This place has none.

This place needs to be SHUT DOWN. Took my car in for an oil change and was told my oil plug had been stripped by the previous owner (which is fine just fix it). After they finished I took my car to Academy and came back out and there was a puddle of oil under my car. When the chiseled the plug to fix it, they discovered they had accidentally put a hole in it. So I had to leave my car the whole weekend. They told me to come back Monday and they’d have it done by 11 AM. So I pick it up at 10:15 AM and take it home. It continues to leak oil so I take it back. They didn’t finish until 1:45 PM and I had work in Huntsville at 2 PM which I told them this multiple times on Saturday when I took it in. Once I was ready to go they told me that something happened to my oil pan. If there was a problem why didn’t you tell me before I drove off? So then they tried to tell me my oil was leaking when I brought it in. Pretty sure I would’ve noticed that before I brought it in. They then went on to blame ME for the hole that had the leak when they told me to my face it was my fault. Absolutely ridiculous. Their service has gone down hill. My parents have been going to this location for 20+ years. NEVER AGAIN. They kept changing their story. They took advantage of me.

This location keeps closing early on Saturdays, but has posted hours of 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. I plan my Saturday work schedule to be off between 2:30 and 3:00, then rush to get there for an oil change. Got my oil changed her last week. Not only was it expensive, but when the tech came out and offered me an engine flush for an extra 60.00 I declined. Got my car home to find that it was leaking oil, it never has before. So I took it to a friend’s automotive shop and he said they just neglected to even tighten the drain plug. If I had continued driving it would have eventually come completely unscrewed and I would have lost all of my oil. Can’t help but wonder if it was done purposely because I refused the extra service?? I mean - they do oil changes all day long and they can’t tighten a drain plug?? Avoiding this one in the future.

The problem was with the Manager or owner or whatever he was coming out from behind the counter to basically cuss out a customer who was having issues with the work he had done. Then he goes out into the work area and starts yelling and cussing at one of his employees! I talked with one the guys and he said that the management had recently changed and how the employees are being screwed out of their hours and not being payed for their work! Not to mention the fact that these guys arent even getting a Christmas bonus and they only have 5 guys that work there!!!

If I could give zero stars, I would after the way I was treated. I recently received an Oil Change for my vehicle at this location. Prior to arrival, I called ahead and requested for them to quote a price for an Oil Change. Over the phone, I was told that an Oil Change cost approximately $35.00, $41.00 total with tax.Upon arrival, I requested for them to use Synthetic Oil in my vehicle for my Oil Change. It wasn’t until after I received my services, when I got to the register, that I was informed that I was to pay a total of $120.00 for their services instead of the original price that I was initially quoted. Immediately, I asked them why they quoted me a different price on the phone because I was prepared to pay the price that they had originally quoted me. Evidently, as I was informed, the cost of synthetic oil is more than regular oil, which is true. But when I asked why the cashier could not be more courteous and let me know that the price had changed ahead of time so that I would have been able to prepare, she bluntly dismissed my concerns and told me, β€œI’m just doing my job”. I responded, β€œI understand that, but with good customer service, it is good to communicate to your customers if there is a change that has been made in the cost of service”. Instead of helping resolve the issue, the cashier became livid at me and continued to be disrespectful and dismissive of my concerns and the fact that she didn’t tell me that the price had changed. Essentially I had been lied to about the cost of their services. She rudely defended herself and preceded to dismiss my concerns stating, β€œshe was just doing [her] job”. I thought her treatment was unfair and the way she handled my concerns was very disrespectful and unprofessional. I politely voiced my opinion, as it was wrong for me to be lied to and told the wrong price. I stated that by not communicating the change in cost, it left me unaware and unprepared to pay in the end. She continued to dismiss my claims, then bluntly and rudely asked me to leave. I am writing this review to publicly voice my concerns about their poor treatment of customers and concerningly low level of customer service.Customer service is fundamental. If your job is to lie to people and deceive them out of their money for your benefit, then that is thoughtless and unethical. Needless to say, I will not be doing business with them ever again in the future.

Dont do State inspection here. Failed inspection because of breaks and they said service for it is about $190. Went to a different mechanic and said there wasnt anything wrong with it. Goes back to do re-inspection (because already paid and there is a 15 day free re-inspection policy from them) and fails again. They tell me that everywhere else is gonna fail the inspection for my car. Then went to a different state inspector and got out of there with a pass in 10 minutes. Very displeased.

WARNING!! These people are very deceptive! They will break parts related to a oil change then when the oil starts out leaking out they tell you need extinsive repairs! I took it to another place and they said the bolts on the oil pan had all been loosened causing it to leak oil. My truck didnt leak oil before i took it in. Few days later it was leaking profusely! If I could give negative stars, I would. Marcus & Aaron we’re both very very helpful., but the manager is a complete a@@hole. Daughter’s car needed oil pan plug chipped off of oil pan...not Kwik Kar’s fault. During the chipping, the mechanic chipped a small hole in the oil pan which caused a leak. It was an inconvenience, but thankfully they repaired it. After two visits to repair the leak, this is where the jerk of a manager comes in. Schumer tells my daughter that the oil pan was chipped when she brought it in. Now that’s funny, because there was & never has been any oil on our driveway. Seems like if it was chipped to begin with, there would be oil on the ground. When talking to Achmed, he hung up on me because I said he was lying. Guess he can’t handle being a manager. Sadly, I’ve been a customer of this establishment since they very first opened some 20 or more years ago, bringing multiple cars there. They just lost a lifelong customer. Not that they care.

This place is the worst! Don’t go there ! I went there to get a oil change for my car. My car was fine. It did not have any light on. They returned my car with the engine light on ! Now I have to go to another place ( like autozone) to figure out what happend with my car and apparently they touched a fuel tank pressure sensor ! Thanks to this place that suppose to be professional because is always busy but in reality is very bad!I never comment or write a review but this place really gave me the worst experience!

Very bad management!! Didn’t even speak to me before they pulled my car in and put the wrong type of oil in the car. To make matters worse... they misplaced my keys. Asked to talk to a manager and they said they didn’t have one there. Don’t use them!

Should be no 🌟s!!!!!!!! Not happy!!!!Wife went in for a simple Oil change. They told her she needed brakes bleed and brake fluid. We just had NTB work on the brakes not 60 days ago and they did bleed the brakes and added brake fluid. So she didnt need it but she agreed. When I called to find out why they did the work they said cause of the color of the brake fluid. Brake work is under warranty. They should have said u need to notify NTB about it and just done oil change. They didnt and I will never bring any of my Vehicles there!!!!Manager tried to offer 2 $10 discounts on the next 2 visit. Un-needed brake Service was $100.

After, being in many auto shops to get my oil change, I have always been disappointed becuase every shop would just rip me off and disrespect me, but when I arrived to this location, I was very pleased and happy that I found this auto shop. The employers were very fiendly, quick, outgoing, and the prices are reasonable. Also, the way they treat their customers is excellent! When I got there one of the mechanics greeted me and politely asked me, what kind of service I want fo my car, and I said that i just needed an oil change. They took care of my car and I didnt know that the oil change came with vacuuming my car, check my tire pressure, and clean the windows. This shop is one of the best in Pearland and they try to provide the best costumer service. I will always take my car to this location!!

All the negative complains about this location are very true. @ Ariel Marrow I was the cashier that was rude. Thats was the last thing I wanted to be but when I said I was just doing my job was because my job was on the line. Prior before you had a customer complain about the price as well when I mention it to the manager he said this is how it is like it or not. So I kept my mouth shut after that. I work at this location over 5 years going on six as a manager but I quit and being gone only for 3 months I came back only as a cashier. I seen how the shop was being run and heard a lot of customers complain but all I could say sorry new management. Sorry is out of my hands, sorry theres nothing I can do. Today another incident happen but this time I spoke out knowing I could get in trouble and I did and got fired. Had a customer complain and I spoke up for her lost the battle. @MR. Frank Seamans I was also was there when your wife was there for an hr upset about her battery issue but once agian I couldnt say anything. I know by me making comments I might not get paid for the days I work but I can say I made it right by letting the Pearland community know whats really going on when they step out of their cars. If your ticket says in black and white they charge you full synthetic Mobil one make sure is coming out of the oil bottles not the gun. Mobil one is over $100 mobil which is 0w20 or dexo is still a synthetic is $70-80 depending on the car. Just make sure which one you actually getting. Everyone is paying for a brand there not getting put in their vehicles. I have no reason for me to lie Im just confirming the customers comments. I know my actions doesnt make it right but my job was on the line and I have a family to support so I let customers walk out and pay a service they didnt receive. But I hope this will help the Pearland community see whats the truth. Over the years working there I tried to build all the customers trust even men because they think a women wouldnt know about cars. Trust is the key word. Build a customer trust and take care of them was the motto and I lost that mind set due that I needed a job. But it is what it is when you work for people who dont care for that phrase they only care about their pockets. Oh and the good comments with foreign names are either friends that were ask make fake comments. If anyone has questions or not sure about a service they got feel free ask Ill do my best to answer them.

Aaron Starks worked for us at kwik kar Pearland for 3-4 months. He had many incidents of being rude and unrespectful to customers as well as to the other co-workers. He gets mad and nervous fast. He often utters curses, insults to customers and other employees at the store. We gave him couple of chances to correct his attitude, but he never did. In his capacity as a manager for the store, he often steals the other employees commission by adding it to his commission. Until one day, we questioned him about the commission since he does not do any mechanical or physical work, he got mad and nervous and said I’m not gonna work until you pay me my commission. The other employees know that he steals their commission. So, he left work on his own, and because we had not called him to get back to work he started posting false information to defame our reputation.We purchase our auto oil from the reputable company JAM. We will appreciate anyone to call JAM and verify this information to find out the false statements made by Arron Starks, and that it’s all pure libel to blacken our name.
