Brought two suits in for cleaning. Pointed out the salt buildup from sweat on the outside of the coat. Was assured the cleaning process would take care of it. Fast forward to today and it looks like they just creased the pants and hung everything else up... dont think they even cleaned anything.
Used to be my go-to dry cleaner but now taking two days and reduced hours? Misplaced my shirts, and really just lacking the customer service that once made them great. Not sure what happened .
Zips did a really great job. Prices are really great too.
Got a giant dog bed cleaned for only $20. They even still had it when I forgot it for over a month (more like two or more, lol)!
Stay far far away from this cleaner! I had my wool winter coat cleaned in February. I picked it up to find that the leatherette trim was peeling off . It wasnt just peeling in one spot, but the entire coat trim was falling off! No one mentioned it at the time of pickup, they were just hoping I would take it and walk away. I did not, and checked it before leaving, finding the disaster they were trying to pass off. One of the employees working at the time of pickup said it is common that their chemical cleaner eats leather and leatherette away and it should not have been cleaned the way it was. I filed a claim and was told someone would call me that week. No one did. I decided to give them some time and wait a few weeks, but still no phone call or check. The following month covid closed many businesses down, so I did not follow up until June (4 months later)only to find out that the store never closed and I was just ignored for 4 months! The person who answered the phone when I called said they would leave a message for the manager to call me back that day. The manager never did, so I called back after the weekend. I was again told a manager would call me, but its best to call in the morning. Yet again, no one called me back. Finally after the 3rd day of calling, someone who claimed to be a manger answered (but had no idea what was going on with my coat and actually said it is ready for pickup). He said it is not their fault the coat is damaged and they will not pay, and that is why they did not call back. A barely used coat in perfect condition before drop off is literally falling apart upon being cleaned at this location and they say it is not their fault! I asked to speak to his manager or the store owner, and he said to quote, that is not going to happen and he hung up on me! This store has ZERO customer service and refuses to take responsibility for their mistakes.
Pleasant place and wonderful staff on cleaning our clothes. Definitely coming back again. Thank you ZIPS!
Fast and friendly service the only problem is trying to talk to the seamstress theyre never there
I usually dont have issues with Zips. Their pricing is good. But a couple times my clothes come back worst than they were taken. I where dress shirts everyday so Im a frequent customer. Or at least used to be.A couple months ago they had given me clothes that werent mine. I took them back once I realized they werent mine. So I can only imagine that they are losing peoples items here and there. This last visit, one of my dress shirts came back with clear spots on the sleeve, like it was bleached or something. I dont think the starch would have done that, but it totally ruined one of my favorite shirts. They just left a tag on my shirt saying sorry we couldnt get the spot out. Well it was never there before I took it.Overall I am a little disappointed with what transpired.
Great service & rates! this cleaners almost a year ago after my old one kept increasing rates. My clothes come back clean, crisp and quick. Love their barcode tracking, online wardrobe system, mobile alerts and auto credit card payments. He runs a tight ship and provides friendly service. I Highly recommended.
I come here very rarely, I went in on Saturday, the 21st to drop off a Comforter, and I had surprisingly great customer service from the cashier named Joe, he was smiling, seemed happy to be there (It was Saturday so thats shocking) we had a good talk and I ended up giving him my card.I only decided to make this review because when I picked up some other clothes I had dropped off, the service was not nearly as good, I hope I see this guy some more, he makes a simple dry cleaning drop off so much more enjoyable, seeing someone who likes their job is just a very nice thing to see anymore!
Huge fan of ZIPS Dry Cleaners!!Theyre reasonably priced and havent lost or damaged any of my clothes. Major win. They also allow you to text them to schedule pick-up and drop-off which is really helpful!Would highly recommend to anyone who is looking for wash & fold at ZIPS Dry Cleaners!
ZIPS Cleaners is my best friend when it comes to cleaning our clothes. Great service. Our clothes smells fresh and neatly folded. We will stay loyal and regular customer to them. ZIPS Dry Cleaners! See you tomorrow.
Wish you were open til 8pm
They are amazing and also a green company. more Expensive but love their services. Well worth it. Definitely the best dry cleaners! GOOD JOB
The customer service was amazing! They were friendly and efficient! I didn’t have my wedding dress dry cleaned but they got a stain out of one of the layers for me! I will definitely return to this location for my dry cleaning in the future!!
Picked up my shoes about 2-3 weeks ago and I didn’t notice til now that they look brand new. I’d like to thank the wonderful zips team for the effort that must’ve gone into getting my shoes to a flawless condition. Will be recommending there shoe cleaning service to everyone I know!
Happy & loyal customer for over 10 years! Outstanding Five Star customer service & friendly staff, excellent management & amazing owner. I appreciate the eco-friendly green process, quality cleaning/alterations & smiles.
I don’t have issues with zips. Thank you to selvin for being a good customer. I recommend this location :))
Been using them for a little while now. Very convenient, great communication, easiest pickup and drop off setup with card on file. Just upgraded to delivery since Im in the hood. ZIPS Dry Cleaners is cool people.
Brought my suit in to get it cleaned. i hadnt cleaned or touched my suit in months, so it needed some TLC, upon bringing it in i noticed that 6 of the buttons were damaged (my fault) and was informed that the Seamstresses wouldnt be back in for another 3 days, The Manager on duty, Michael, took the jacket in and sewd brand new buttons on it all in that same day, had it cleaned and ready for me to pick up that same day. That should be the standard when it comes to customer service.
Great place for wash and fold. he do delivery for a little extra.I like the texting service they have, too. If theres no street parking, you can park at the bank. work is great!!
I can say nothing but good things about this ZIPS location. They have always gone out of their way to deliver best in class service. Just today, I dropped off a large amount of clothes and asked to pick them back up in the morning. Will was more than accommodating and I will be picking up in the morning. I have always had very good experiences here!
This location has lost multiple shirts on different occasions. I filed two claims months ago and have never been contacted about them. I have inquired multiple times with no follow up. I posted a Yelp review and was contacted but what seemed to be a corporate customer service rep and promised that the manager would be calling me. That never happened. The quality of their service was marginal on items that were not lost. Shirts are pressed irregularly. You can match their price for dress shirts at most dry cleaners with far better results. For other items they are cheaper but over the long haul given the cost of “lost” items you are better off sticking with a reputable dry cleaner.
Wow I wish I could post zero stars. I just left Zips this evening, December 15th 2017 at around 6pm to drop a shirt off. When I walked in, the employee (Of course I can’t get his name because he doesn’t wear a name tag, and his uniform is always halfway on. This particular employee looks 18-20 years old, a little pudgy. He use to have a shag haircut and now has shorter hair. He always walks around with his mouth open like he’s congested and his eyes are always lazy looking.).Greeted me and became immediately belligerent. (I picked up clothes last week and they were all messed up, and were worse then they were prior to dropping off, I asked the manager Mike if the person that did my clothes was drunk or high when doing them, because they literally ruined them and they were savagely messed up.) This employee stated to me “Why the hell did you tell everyone in the store we were high” I told this employee that I asked if that person that did my clothes was high first off and who is he to curse at me, and question me. I grabbed my clothes and told him that I will take my business elsewhere. As I left the building and got into my vehicle, that employee was behind the counter dancing at me in a taunting way. KEEP IN MIND EVERYONE THAT THE MANAGER MIKE WAS STANDING THERE ON THE PHONE DURING THE ENTIRE INCIDENT AND REFUSED TO GET INVOLVED.I have been going to that zips for two years now and they always ALWAYS mess my clothes up. I usually have patience with the employees there because it’s usually a simple quick press fix. But last week they messed up my clothes badly.I do not appreciate an employee of that store cursing at me and becoming aggressive towards me due to a question I asked his manager Mike a week prior (Sounds like he has a guilty conscience) I felt like I had walked into a hostile work environment, and I will never EVER go back to zips ever again. I also know A LOT of people that use that zips as well and I will most certainly be telling them about tonight and convincing them not to ever use zips anymore either. Finally I will be making a complaint to the Better Business Bureau of Maryland as well because I think that the poor customer service, bad attitude, and poor quality work needs to be exposed since the company zips refuses to accept responsibility and take ownership of their company. Very Distasteful service.SincerelyDisappointed
I like the service, and the drivers are courteous. I get my clothes back ahead of the estimated time, and Im satisfied with the results. Super Service! - ZIPS Dry Cleaners!!
We just moved an avenue away and we are still using them for laundry services. Cant speak highly enough of the pickup/dropoff system. He is responsive and very nice.
They shredded a custom made dress, then claimed that was its condition when I dropped it off. Will be filing a small claims court against them.Follow-up 03/05/19 - Per their response, I emailed them the details as well as photos of the shredded garment. They NEVER responded. Maybe because I mentioned that I checked with DLLR & they couldnt find any valid business license on file for either the Pasadena location or the Columbia one.
Fast, affordable, and I have never had any serious issues.
I went there for the first time and selvin did really good helping me out. i wanna say thank you for your good service today selvin cause it was my first time . i will definitely come back :) !!
Great laundry service at an affordable price!! Would definitely recommend.
Selvin is a good helper for me today, I recomended this location 100%.
Good prices, best customer services thank you Selvin for being a good helper today
Selvin thank you continue smile and good customer service.
I recomend 100 % this location, my clothes always clean fresh, and good customer service thank you Selvin for your helping me today.
Thank you for your good service today Selvin
If I could post a zero star rating I would. I came there at night around 5:30pm and a guy in glasses greeted me. He spoke very quietly and when I asked him what he said he looked at me as if I weren’t standing there. He smelled really bad with a mixture of marijuana. He looked really under the influence. He then had to ask another girl with rainbow hair for help. She was really loud and didn’t even have on a uniform!! My clothes were done well thanks to Mike who told me he’d have them ready for me that day. I later found out that the guy who took me in at first was Justin D was all the girl told me. The managers really need to check in on him!!
Made an account just to leave a review. My wife and I have been using Zips for a little over 10 years now and due to my job transferring me from store to store I am no stranger to using a dry cleaners that I haven’t been in before. I was just told about a year ago that I will be transferred to our Baltimore location and immediately started looking for local Zips Dry Cleaners just to get a head start. And from Glen Burnie to Annapolis to Essex I have found no better store then the one in Pasadena. The management team is by far one of the best I have been able to talk to in all my years of coming. The employees have always greeted me as if I am family whenever I come into the store. And overall it’s just a welcome and open environment.I’d leave a five star review but just like every aspect in life, zips is not perfect and I can respect how they handle situations. I had a few coats come back wrinkled, a button or two broken off but that’s the price to pay when you let machines press your stuff out. The General Manager Mike has been nothing more then helpful to me whenever I have a problem (which isn’t that often), from sewing buttons back on to repressing my clothes on the spot. I have dropped off a few garments with stains before and each time I’ve been told that “there is no guarantees to it, the stain, coming out” and each time I’ve been impresssd with how much they are able to do with said stain.
I was excited to use Zips as it was conveniently close to me. I have heard good things from people who take their clothes to other Zips locations. The Pasadena Zips let me down each time I have been there. They werent able to remove simple stains that other dry cleaners do with ease. I believe the problem is that they washed the shirts first and then realized there was a stain afterwards when it was too late. I have to throw away a brand new expensive shirt that I have worn once. I have white shirts I wear to work that were noticeably less white each time I took them there. It was embarrassing compared to other coworkers who take their shirts to more reputable dry cleaners. They would comment that it appears the Pasadena zips just presses the shirts and never cleans them. I have received pants back that have 2 creases; The original crease and the new one that Zips created. Why would anyone pay money to have someone ruin your clothes when you can clean them better on your own for free. I would advise anyone looking at this location to find another place you can trust. This location just doesnt care. I will be sure to fill everyone in on my experiences.
Mike was great!! Awesome customer service. Definitely will return and recommend to other.
First let me say that I have been going to this Zips for more than two years. Occasionally some of my shirts would not be pressed properly, but I figured that this was the exception so I would go back and get the wrinkles repressed. Then I took my brand new comforter to get DRY CLEANED. Let me say that this did not happen. My comforter was washed. All the material on the inside of the comforter bulked up and at the edges there was no material. This would not have happened had it be dry cleaned. I should have realized that there may be issues when I was required to sign a document releasing Zips from any damage to the comforter. This was a $300 comforter and the first time it was to be dry cleaned. Needless to say I will not be going back to any Zips for any service. In addition, prior to getting the comforter out of the plastic bag that Zips returned the comforter in, a co-worker of my wifes told her that we should not have taken the comforter to Zips as they destroyed her comforter.
Was skeptical about the price at first but they did a fantastic job. Already dropped off a closers worth of clothes and 2 comforters. Gonna be going to Zips for awhile now!
I came in and this guy named selvin was extremely nice and it made me feel comfortable. I will for sure return back!!!
Doing a load here is fast and efficient, and my clothes dry very quickly. Ill be going here from now on, especially after the laundromat on Broadway caught on fire and burned all my clothes.
Selvin was good worker to me and was very kind !
PLEASE READ, SAD, NO TRANSPARENCY and 2 stars on YELP. Everything is great until they loose or ruin one of your clothing items. Processing a claim to pay you takes MONTHS (I am still waiting for mine 3.5 months later) and the most they are willing to pay is 30 times the price of the service, so if you have a $300 dress or anything you are out of luck. They forbid the customer to retain a copy of the claim for their own records and forbid contact with store owner or district manager which leaves the poor shift managers to bear face. The whole idea of customer service does not show in this shady process, will take possible legal recourse on my end and contacting corporate offices on Monday. Things to think about before dropping off you clothes which you work hard to pay for. A dress shirt was ruined and about a month later they lost a pair a pants. As of today I am no longer a zips customer and I just want to replace what they lost. By the way SPARKLE CLEANERS on Mountain Road 2 minutes away from Zips, same prices and same turnaround to complete.
Had an urgwnt nees to get one of my auits pressed ans they did it for me while I waited (about 5-10 minutes). Staff jumped in to knock this out for me and we were courteous. Job well done and much appreciated.
Theyve managed to crush all the buttons on several shirts. Its weird. Ill probably go back if they replace the buttons.
At first I thought this location was going to be better than the one in Glen Burnie. And if I were rating them on their staff and cleanliness of facility they would do great. However, I’ve given them a month now and every week my shirts smell moldy. Like they left them in the wash overnight and then dried them another day. Be careful, if you get your collars cleaned they will come back smelling like body oder. I had them rewashed but it didn’t seem to fix it. I’m going to guess it’s bacteria in their water system. Or washing machines.I hope management takes a look into this. Other than the smell of my clothes, they press them well and are very friendly. To me anyway.
Horrible experience with this place. Lost two pair of very expensive jeans, filed a claim and when the insurance agent called he was rude and disrespectful. Said if no receipt the will not pay for replacement. These jeans were over 3 years old, but I take very good care of my clothes and spend decent money on them so they last. Filing a complaint with the Insurance commissioner after this post.
Dropped off a king size comforter to be “cleaned”. Picked it up TWO WEEKS later and it had the same dirt spots on it from my dog. Took it back in, marked the spots with yellow tape, the on- duty manager (I assume) told me they would redo it and he apologized, but also in the same breath made some excuse about not being able to treat stains. Mind you, it is literally dirt and dog slobber, not a stain. Picked it up TWO MORE WEEKS later- SAME EXACT DIRT SPOTS PRESENT!It’s as if they took it from my hands and put it right back into a plastic bag when I walked out the door. I took soap, water, and a rag at home and cleaned it right off. If you would like your items to actually be cleaned when you drop them here, be prepared for disappointment.
Thank you Salvin You where very kind to me much appreciated I apologize if I spelled your name wrong
They do an EXCELLENT job dry cleaning. The staff is super friendly, very polite and really good at cleaning whatever you bring in. The Store is always clean, and tidy.
If I could give this place a 0 rating, I would. A dry cleaners ONLY jobs are to clean your clothes and return them to you. These guys are terrible at both. My clothes develop new stains and are frequently misplaced. Every comforter comes back lumpy, as if it were washed and not dry cleaned. At this point, I only have myself to blame for having given them so many chances to improve over the last few years. They have turned over management at least half a dozen times, but to no avail. I am shopping for a new cleaner!
Just did my routine dry cleaners run and I gotta say I’m happy but upset with Zips at the same time. My clothes were amazing but I noticed that Michael was working tonight so I had a chat with him. Personally My wife and I have been here to see a lot of management changes, but Michael is one of our favorites as we know if we have a problem he’ll be able to fix it. After chatting with him, he informed me that Zips was transferring him to Glen Burnie and bringing a former Pasadena manager back here. Now I know personally who is coming back but I will not mention names as I do not wanna ruin anyone’s opinion on the store.I do gotta say I will not be returning to Zips Dry Cleaners. I told Michael that they are lucky to have someone like him running the store and that there are plenty of careers out there that could use a guy like him.Thank you Zips for the 4 up and down years.
Thanks for your service selvin you were kind to me lol💯🦍
Horrible- constantly losing shirts. Just having a button sewn on takes over 4 (yes FOUR) weeks. Have had to return shirts to be repressed. The collars were bunched in half! Today was the last straw. I picked up a pair of recently cleaned pants and they were DIRTY! Yes, pressed but obviously never cleaned OMG. Time to move on.....
I usually iron my own clothes (I actually enjoy it a little), but from time to time Im forced to travel for work and its easier to just use the dry cleaner. Ive used Zips because of the quick turn around, but NO MORE! They mess something up every time I use them. Not once have I gotten all of my shirts back without finding weird creases somewhere rendering the shirt unwearable. I take the shirt to you to make it wearable...you give it back to me the next day, still not wearable, but with medium starch. Not anymore Zippy! Im going back to the inconvenient angry over priced dry cleaner, because sometimes you have to pay a little more or wait a little longer for a quality product or service...even if they yell at me when I dont have my ticket (I actually enjoy that a little too!)Paul
DO NOT USE this place for shirts. They will ruin your dress shirts and press in impossible wrinkles and creases as well as burn your shirts. Fast sercice terrible quality. After pointing these wrinkles out I was told that that was the way it is and that it works for thousands of people except me and was not offered a refund. Do not use this place . spend your money elsewhere.
They mixed up my clothes with someones else. My clothes came back to me wrinkled and some still have spots on them. My uniform shirt came back from them with both of my patches almost ripped off like someone just threw them in the dryer or someone. The employees dont wear uniforms and are a bit disrespect.
Took a brand new comforter to zips for dry cleaning...BIG mistake...they washed it ...the tag from the comforter melted all over the side. The down inside was all bunched up and could not be fixed. So upsetting. And the smell from the chemical on the comforter was horrible...Will never use this place again. Hopefully I am getting my money back for the comforter have to talk to the General Manger Monday. Will let everyone know what happen..I do not recommend ZIPS
Giving this store 2 stars because at least my problems were resolved in a quick manner. I walked into Zips a few Saturdays ago to drop off my suit, i am aware of the In by 9 out by 5 rule and even though i came in around 9:20 an older gentleman (who i learned later was named Will) told me that itd be no problem to get my clothes back the same day. I left reassured and in a great mood.I came back around 5 to pick my suit up and it wasnt even pressed, i asked for Will and the manager on duty (who i learned was also named Will) brought to my attention that the information was never passed on, i was scratching my head at this point because i was in a time crunch and needed my clothes. After a few minutes he asked if i could come back in an hour, to which i said sure.1 Hour later i came back in and ANOTHER manager there (Whos name was Mike(which is good because i was getting tired of hearing Will)) assured me that he was in the area and he stopped by and got my suit all pressed. I asked him if this happens alot and he told me that the morning crew has a habit of not passing on information to the night crew.I was pleased with how my suit looked and I will be coming back, but only during the night shift.
This store has new management and the service improved tremendously. Service is friendly, efficient, and the quality is great.
They do a terrible job. My uniforms have been accumulating BO since Ive been taking them to zips. I spoke with 2 managers and one told me to use frebreeze. Thats just plain ignorance! How come every dry cleaners in the world can clean my naval uniforms but they cannot? Go somewhere else!!
We thought we would try Zips again since they are under new management but my husbands shirts look poor. They do an awful job pressing the back yoke on a dress shirt.
Very cheap and fast. I never have to wait long in line and I always get my clothes back clean.
Terrible service. My clothes came back dirty. The woman next to me checked her clothes, and her slacks werent pressed. The staff is not helpful. They stare at you with a blank expression when you point out that your clothes are not clean. Only go here if you want dirty, unpressed clothes and poor service. I will never use a ZIPS again.
Tried out this Zips, when it first opened and has gone down hill ever since. First cloths were coming back still dirty but pressed, now they are not even pressed. I picked up shirts recently and look worse than if they just came out of my dryer. They my be the cheapest in town but their services shows it. BACK TO LOCAL LAUNDRY for me
I forgot to take my IDs out of my shirt pocket before I gave them to zips to dry clean and they found them and stapled them to the receipt for me with no damage or anything missing!!
Will never go here again took a white dress and got it back with stains on it.
Terrible customer service.
Im confused their radio commercials say $1.99 cleaning but this site and the person behind the counter said $2.29. And they couldnt explain why the charged more.
I dont like how they put tags on your clothes other then that they do a good job
Bad
