By far my best experience at an apartment complex.Management: Marilyn and Manuela are AMAZING. I moved here from out of state during the pandemic and had to do everything virtually. They made the entire moving process easy and constantly reached out to see if they could assist with anything. They know residents by name and care about our concerns. Ivan from Maintenance has been awesome, he comes very quickly after submitting a request and communicate frequently with you to inform you of what was fixed and any other issues.Apartment/Area: 1 Assigned parking spot that is included already (can’t beat that!). The parking garage is remote controlled, and you won’t have to worry about nonresidents or non-guest wondering around by your vehicle. I can only speak for The Palermo, however I’m sure The Messina is just as amazing. The actual units are maintained verrrry well and fit all my furniture comfortably. It’s a small complex which gives it a condo feel more than an apartment. You are conveniently located in the middle of Old Pasadena and are within a 2–10-minute walk from so many food, shopping and entertainment options. When I have guest, they are always in awe of the location and how you can get to anything quickly. It’s the perfect balance between downtown and suburban living.Overall, the only con I can think of are the fire trucks sirens blaring but no one can control that, so it’s not even really an issue. Living here has been very refreshing and I am a very happy resident!

I spent a very pleasant year here. The neighbors are super nice. The management is very responsive when problems arise. The apartments are first rate.

Oh man! I don’t even live here and I’m giving it 5 stars! Here’s why: I was purchasing a futon from a tenant who had just finished school and was moving out because she just got a job. She wasn’t able to meet me for pick up so instead I met with building management. Janette was the kindest and most helpful person I’ve dealt with in a while. She even helped my husband carry the futon down to the uhaul! If she is like this with people that aren’t even tenants, I cannot imagine what it’s like to live there. Plus, the apartments were quaint, secure and within walking distance to old town. Great deal!
