This gym has great instructors. This location offers a lot of classes that are included in the membership. The Body Pump instructors are the best! They are professional and they always start their classes on time. Their classes are very motivated and fun. I drive 35 minutes just to take the Body Pump and Body Combat classes at this location. It is worth the drive! Thank you Angela, Danny, Fanny, Traci and Travis. You are the reason I keep my membership. I really enjoy my time there.

This is my gym and I love the variety of things you can choose from here, and they have a pool and sauna. Not sure if theyre still allowing people to swim during the pandemic, I havent tried. I prefer the weights and weight machines.

This gym offers a great variety of classes with excellent instructors, you can’t get bored here! Also, a thumbs up to Denise H & Oscar U. Their customer service skills are above & beyond! They are always eager & willing to assist with any questions & concerns one may have & they do it all with a smile. You guys rock!

I think this gym has a lot of potential, there’s a lot of cardio, basketball court, strength training equipment, etc. But the lack of protocol, and consistency has lead to my cancellation. 50% of the cardio equipment requires some sort of maintenance or don’t work (there have been many times I’ve had to switch machines 2-3 times because they aren’t working properly). Strength training machines are falling apart. And the free weight area is overly crowded and weights are never put back in place. The lower lbs weights are far and few 80% start at 25lb increments so if you’re trying to add that extra 10lbs you’re going to have a hard time. The staff is super inattentive, and it shows in terms of maintenance. They are all either chit chatting or on their phones. In terms of cleanliness, there’s probably 5 cleaning stations throughout the gym and the bottles either don’t spray or there’s no paper towels. Therefore many people don’t wipe down the machines. Giving two stars due to the potential.

Decent gym. A bit crowded and could use a more spacing between the machines. But overall: acceptable. Great selection and quantity of free weights.

Good space. Most staff are excellent. Lidia by far is the best staff member here. Every time I see her, she’s working on something that needs to be done for the place. I see her with ladders and tools all the time. She embodies dedication and perseverance. Similar to traits one needs to be successful at gym. She always has a positive attitude and shows tremendous amount of care for members. Always answers all questions and gives the best suggestions. She is an exceptional human being. Kudos to whomever hired her.

The itself has everything you need however, there is broken equipment, it is dirty with maybe 4 cleaning bottles in the entire weight area and the spray is mostly water my previous gym I left 2 weeks ago had no less than 15-20 cleaning bottles in a weight area half the size. The free weights are everywhere and it adds an extra 10-15 alone to your workout tracking down weights. That would all be well and good if no one were there to clean up, but today when I left, I counted 5 staff members at the front desk having a good time. This gym could be fantastic if there was any manager who worked there and told someone what to do.

We have been asking about an official policy/communication about reserving racquetball courts for 2 weeks now. We have been getting the run-around with mixed messages and no action. Anthony at the front desk finally too initiative and talked to the General Manager. The GM came through with 2 days advanced notice and a sign of notice on the court reservation book. Anthony is the man!PLEASE OPEN THE 2nd COURT AND WE WILL BE IN RACQUETBALL HEAVEN. We have a bunch of former members that will re-enroll when we get 2 courts. It is huge place and nice lot equipment. Customer service is good. Only need more clean restrooms and couple equipment broke last serval months.

I joined about 2 months ago. It was a good investment, at the moment you dont have access to all the amenities because of covid protocol. But if you want to work out or play a lil basketball this is a premo place to do it at. I highly recommend it.

I always drove past 24 Hour Fitness on Route 4 so I decided that I was going to check it out and, possibly, get a membership with them. I want to start by saying the staff was very knowledgeable and helpful when it came to specific questions about memberships, equipment, pricing, etc. I signed up under Anthony, who was very helpful and I’ve signed 3 more people up under him.They’re very Covid-conscious, which is appreciated during a pandemic. They take your temperature upon arrival, the entire staff and guests are mandated to wear masks and the machines are spaced out to comply with social distancing protocols. After use of a machine, guests should be cleaning the machines, but sometimes, I’ve seen that be avoided (which is nasty on the guests part). Currently, the sauna, basketball court, and pool are closed, which is disappointing but understandable and I was told they would open up again soon.Parking is sometimes an issue when you come at a busier time, due to it being next to a popular restaurant, but just wait 2 or 3 minutes and something should open up.Lastly, the pricing isn’t too bad. I would say, if you are dedicated and want to actually utilize your membership, it will be worth your money. Remember, you’re going to get what you pay for and health is always something to invest in.

I have made this gym my home and for the most part... its a great gym. However, I do not care for the cashiers closing 30 minutes before the gym closes. The water fountains are shut down during Covid and not having the option to purchase a drink is kind of frustrating. I guess, Ill buy some waters and keep them in my car from now on.

24 Hour Fitness is a great fitness studio. I do the online remote coaching and training. The systems the chief instructor has helped me use have shifted my mentality in approaching fitness. All the staff are super helpful. The facilities are great and convenient if you live in the city. Good vibes, lots of education!

This gym has potential. Great interior space but machines are not aging well at all from them either being behind on maintenance or just past their life (they havent been replaced since the gym opened 8 years ago.)

Went by looked at stuff. Not sure why no one picks up phone at 1020pm. To lazy to pick up phone wanna consider joining yet staff is lazy about picking up a phone says plenty to me. JT

I am going to go down the middle in this location. The location itself is a favorite and offers an array of workout equipment amd options. The staff is unhelpful. Not sure if the company has their hands tied or they are just unwilling. Clearly no credit was made to my account for the seven months the gyms were closed. I even paid my dues for 2020-2021 and they were not able to assist. Additionally, when I returned to this club, one of the few remaining 24 Hour Fitness locations in the area, I was presented with a day pass card to offer to a Guest, which they pushed back across the counter at me, and said it was old despite the fact that it did not have any dates on it to indicate. My Son amd I left and had a workout at Powerhouse Gym, which had just opened in a former 24 Hour Fitness location, and they offered us both a free pass amd an opportunity to check out the newly renovated location. Customer deserve your attention. When we take the time to visit your business please pay attention.

Why is it called 24 hour fitness and they close st 11??

Lots of equipment spread over three floors. Theres 2 Racquet ball courts. Pool, sauna, steam, whirlpool, basketball court . Spin, weight, floor exercise and dancercise rooms. Dozens of aerobic and strength machines. Also a Nursery/Kiddie room. But, I am lowering my star ✴ rating due to the Negatives: Recently (4/19) they stopped providing towels under the pretense of saving water for the environment. (Hey, just say its to cut costs.) The pool is now closed between 1 -2 daily. Also, their maintenance has been steadily deteriorating and it can take weeks for broken equipment and/or facilities to be repaired. They need to clean the locker rooms more often.More on-floor involvement is needed by the manager.

It used to be such a pleasant gym, but about a year or so ago something happened. A lot of machines are out of order and are not properly maintained. Bathrooms, lockers and shower are often dirty and smell bad. Stretching mats are ripped. Crowded and hot in the cardio zone. Not sure what happened, but I am seriously considering canceling my membership after 5 years of being a loyal member.

Wow.No masks in cardio area, only when people end their workout. No reinforcement. Club is clean, but seeing people coughing and huffing around with no covering.. disheartening. Members and staff alike.

Great gym. Very clean. I started going to 24 Hour Fitness a little more than a year ago. My strength and recovery have better so much so fast.

State of the art. Love this place. Good crowd. Equipment here is awesome. Climate controlled pool as well. Found it much better than LA Fitness. The best part? You can walk in anytime ! Would definitely recommend.

I came in today for the 1st time and I thought Id hate making an appointment for a workout but actually its fine. Inside mostly everyone has their mask properly on so I guess we are all on the same page. Cleaning sprays and wipes are provided and the place looks clean. The only down part is no lockers, no pool area and no basketball. Im ok with this but I hope they can work out the pricing do to lack of full use of the gym. So far Id give it 3/5 but its not fully in service. Yet it is ok for its capacity.

I’ve left notes to the staff at the front desk to fix the rowing machine straps. It’s been almost a year. Please have more accountability and responsibility to fix equipment. We all want a safe good workout and can’t do that with broken machines.Would be great to leave post it’s notes for customers to stick on machines that need fixing. That way you guys have more visibility to all the machines that need maintenance. There are many.

I have been extremely happy with having Anthony as the personal trainer. He is dedicated and meticulous and I feel that he cares for my progress. After working with him over 4 months I am in the best shape of my life and I gained tons of insight into fitness and nutrition. Anthony prepared a detailed schedule for me, follows up with updates and keeps track on goals. When I show up for the session, equipment is already prepared and in place, time is used efficiently for workout and training. I really appreciate his dedication, expertise and his sense of humor.

I needed to freeze my membership temporarily so I called 24 hour fitness in Paramus and spoke with Oscar about my needs. Oscar was extremely professional, courteous and very knowledgeable. Oscar answered all my questions efficiently and effectively and referred me to the right party in corporate who provided me with a credit for my membership freeze period. Thank you Oscar for all your help and invaluable direction!

Froze my membership, they reactivated it randomly without my permission, been charging me monthly. And they wont pick up the phone to talk to me during normal hours. Im having to go through my credit card company to fight this.When contacting my credit card company about this problem, the teller asked me what was the gym name to find the charges. When i told him it was 24 hours in paramus, he laughed and said yeah weve had a lot of these calls about them.

I preferred the Hasbrouck Heights locations simply because the younger crowd tends to go to the Paramus location. Im in my 30s but I cannot stand the way people speed in the parking lot at this location- since theres the restaurant next door, and its next to the highway- lots of people use the parking lot for thru traffic. The staff is usually talking amongst one another so they dont usually acknowledge patrons- which isnt a big deal. The HH staff was a lot friendlier- but they havent reopened yet. The staff in Paramus is definitely following social distancing guidelines and every other cardio machine is roped off. I Ive been going since they reopened in September and patrons are doing their part and cleaning the machines before and after use, which is great. You have to make an appointment prior to going. I thought this task would be annoying- but its really a great tool to prevent overcrowding.The only thing I really miss is the abundance of classes offered in the studio. But lately they have been offering some classes.

I signed up in March 2019 and I also purchased a personal trainer package. I didnt regret to do it and choosing Anthony Bland. With his professional training I was able to lose more than 50 lbs since this March. I would recommend him for personal trainer. The gym equipment is really good. They have swimming pool, cycling room, lots of machines and more. The staff members are nice and very helpful. The gym is organized even when lot of people are working out.

Great gym. All new with new equipment. Lots of class options with a lot of different times to accommodate different work schedules.clean locker rooms. Friendly staff. Good trainers. Plenty of parking on the top. Good location, dry cleaning and uncle Gs in the parking lot.

Been here for about two years now. see no improvement and place is going downhill. basketball courts are very slippery and it is nearly impossible to have a proper game. wet area is always closed. always. i pay 50(!!!!) dollars a month. oh and they don’t provide towels anymore but you can buy one for 5$! don’t waste your money here.

Closed saddlebrook location and kept charging me

Last night I told an employee that the paper towels were out that are needed to clean off the gym equipment, he looks at his phone and tells me the cleaning crew comes around at 6:50. That’s an hour away. He continues to walk around aimlessly when he could have picked up one of the many tripping hazards- weights, mats, grips. 24 Hour needs to weed out their weak personnel and be more accountable on their customer’s experience.On a good note- there is plenty of weights, cardio equipment, and personal space.

I like the classes and trainers at this location. The gym also has tons of weights and other work out machines as well as a pool. However, the cleanliness has gone down in quality. I stopped using the pool because its clear they substitute high chlorine levels for regular cleaning and the bathrooms arent being maintained anymore. A stall in the bathroom has been out of order for weeks.

Good gym but there a few problems1. Only half the showers have hot water.2. A lot of people do not put their weights away.3. The weights that are left, are not put away by any of the employees I was there for 2 hours and no one cleaned up the weights.4. It’s super hot in cardio area, no need for it to be that hot.Things that are good:1. The staff2. Lots of equipment3. Great view of basketball court from cardio area.

They were super friendly and helpful with me the whole time there. At one point i was a little confused how to use one of the machines and without me asking one of the workers showed me how it was done happily. The trainers there are awesome! They gave off great vibes and were very motivating. I loved it and i think its 100% worth the money.

I use the gym mostly for the basketball court.Management has continually ignored complaints/requests from myself and many others to properly clean the court on an ongoing basis. The footing is slippery and dangerous.Management also fails to promptly replace broken nets. It often takes weeks to replace a net.

Between the weight lifting equipment rarely functional, the cardio deck crowded because thats not functional as well and to top it off after being able to scrounge a partial work out from the functional equipment the pool area is becoming more of a nuisance because I have to call everyday prior to coming to know what is working in the gym and what is not. Paying a premium for half a gym the management is terrible and hasnt responded to a comment I sent through the corporate channel. If youre going to sign up for this gym dont go to la fitness its much more flexible and the equipment works, its cleaner and half the price

BEWARE, this gym schemes! I signed up for month to month since I am in the process of moving out of the area and when I tried to cancel they said I was on an annual contract. They also make membership impossible to cancel without additional charges. You can only cancel through a manager whom with ALL of their staff is never available in the evening. Also, when I was attending this gym they frequently did not have clean towels to offer, paper towel rolls were not refilled throughout the gym, water fountains either do not work or do not work well, several of their treadmills were slippery and unsafe, and a lot of their machines that needed repairing took weeks to do so. Also, they need another leg press machine because the wait time for it is insane.

What a sh.show. I couldnt get in the place. It would have taken me half hour to check in for an hour and a half workout.

I have been a member of to 24 Hour Fitness for almost 14 years. I’ve recently visited a nearby gym to reactivate my account after freezing it for a while. I drove to this Paramus location to get my membership unfrozen.First impression of the gym was very positive. Super convenient since they are right off the highway. The large glass widow displayed the gym nicely! I can see everything, and I noticed a guy on his phone too (ok I promise there is a reason for sharing that.)The associate at the front desk was welcoming and he genuinely tried to help me unfreeze my account. He then asks his manager for assistance after three attempts. Turns out the guy I saw earlier (the guy busy with his cell phone by the window) was the evening shift “manager.” I knew he wouldn’t be able to help me as I saw him put his phone away and walked towards the front desk.The manager did not introduce himself and he immediately told me my grandfathered in membership has been canceled. He immediately tries to sell me the current promotion if I enrolled today. Seriously? You think I want to pay three times more than my grandfathered in membership? At least try to help me with the problem first.This “Manager” was very unprofessional and I felt so pressured being hustled to enroll. He kept telling me there is no way to get my old membership back. He did not show any understanding of my situation. I honestly do not know how he became a manager, maybe by pressuring people to enroll with the gym!!! And why anyone would hire him to be a manager and to just to sit around using a cellphone is beyond my understanding.Of course I left without my membership and I was a VERY unhappy customer. I turned around after exiting and I saw him smirking!! Grow up and be real man!

I am extremely upset with the associate who assisted me! I came to the gym with a 3 days free access. I was looking for another gym since I recently cancelled my old gym membership. I had email to prove it. The associate said I cannot used it which made me purchased a hefty day pass for 25$. I spent 1 hour in the gym and I received an email stating enjoy your one day free access. I confronted the associate and he said that the email was the day pass I purchased. I purchased the day pass in the front desk without them taking my personal info, they just basically swiped my card. How can they identify my email? This associate is named Eli. Never approach him, because of him I will never come back again!

The worst Zumba class on Saturday. With a guy completely without rhythm. I could even see the class... but the have good kids club on Saturday and good equipments!!!

This is my current gym and has been for some time. I go here out of convenience for proximity to my house. No complaints about the franchise but this location is terrible for hygiene. The mens room has toilet paper everywhere quite literally every single day. Toilets never look clean. Sinks, dryers, and other equipment is usually needing repair.Frankly it makes me question ownership and the staffing. They have solid trainers but lack basic maintenance. It really makes you wonder how clean the facility is as a whole.

Very big gym, lots of equipment, lots of classes. The bathrooms are clean. Gets crowded after work, but not terrible. I took a spin class there, likes it. Staff are friendly. Equipment is in good clean condition. Huge basketball court that you can look down from the treadmills.

I thought it would be nice to tryout the Paramus location being that I’m looking to change gyms and was curious to see what has changed in the last 4 years.I signed-up for the free 3-day pass online but was turned away at the Paramus location because I used to be a member ... 4 years ago. Insult to injury, they said if I wanted to workout, it would be $25.Followed-up with corporate member services and they confirmed that I should have been allowed to use the pass. They recommended calling management at the Paramus location which I did. No luck - manager said I couldn’t use the pass, again because I was a member 4 years ago.There’s clearly a disconnect between the Paramus location and corporate.Needless to say, I won’t be joining this gym.Also note, this is right on their website:“3-day pass is valid beginning on your first day of usage at a club. I went in to get to see the gym and I asked if there was a free pass and they said no Edward I think his name was he was a tall Spanish guy with glasses with a beard and he was very disrespectful. I later went to Hasbrouck and they gave me a 3 day pass it said on the website on paramus they were giving free passes but Edward or who ever his name was did not give me one I think he was the supervisor. I know people who were there at 24 hour fitness at Wayne and please get rid of him very bad service my parents go here and so does my little sister be aware of him because he is a liar.

Terrible. Locker rooms are dirty, equipment isn’t maintained. Pool is cloudy.I signed up my girlfriend, she tried a few times but throught the place was too filthy, including the pool, and quit.I cancelled her membership, in person. A year later they started billing me again. They said I froze the account, didn’t cancel. They said it was my fault and won’t return my calls about the issue.Update: the towel service has been discontinued, the pool is closed daily from 1-2 pm and the monthly rates went UP!

This gym is sooooo noisy that you literally leave the place with the worst headache ever. the cardio machine which are half broken are right above the basketball court. this court is always !!!! full with players that play ball, scream and whistling. your headphones wont help.if you are working during the week, there are not a lot of classes after 7:00. it is mostly Zomba.personally, very disappointed, i was expected to get much more for the money. will defiantly cancel at the end of my first year.

They should check and repair broken machines on 3rd floor, just swap them with the chained ones.

I am bring in a friend to get a day pass today, try to let her enjoy a day a your location then maybe she will join it with me later, but the whoever is the day time manager there gave us such hard time! You have to pay extra $25 to join the class and $25 for tour? I am 3 years there and introduce lots my friends there in the pass years, never had such rules before?! Recently this place also getting less cleaning in the shower area too!

If i could leave no stars i would. This gym has gone down hill since the day it opened. It consistently has broken equipment and air conditioning problems. The pool is closed most of the time, the locker rooms are gross and the staff does nothing about it. They used to provide towel and then started saying that the washing machine was broken and no towels today. Now they say they are saying they are going green and to bring your own towels, really? Last night i went in for a spin class and they had the audacity to have towels for sale. The only reason i am still there is i like my teacher. Do yourself a favor and find a different gym.

This is the worst gym I have ever come across. I do not recommend this facility to anybody simply because the staff. When I first joined I was overcharged and the sales manager lied I would get a certain price to join and I didn’t. I made employees aware of this issue and they confessed he does this to everyone. I tried to get in contact with him to resolve the misunderstanding to what he guaranteed me and he was unavailable every single time for some bs excuse. Fast forward- here I am cancelling my membership in August and the manager at the customer service desk said she was going to cancel my membership they gave me a date when it would end and I got pulled another payment from my account. Called corporate couldn’t get my refund back until someone from this gym calls me again. There’s ALWAYS some sort of issue.

Not cool was just there. Signed up for a pass to check out the facility. Suppose to be a free day pass. When Google directed me here they said it was past 5 miles from my residence which is only 20 minutes. I was informed there was a $25 charge because of the distance from my residence. I work in the area. Will report to Consumer Protection Agency. Policy should be more clear. I wonder if this is how they treat all their potential gym members, horrible!

Terrible customer service. Agree with all of the other 1 star reviews. I called in the morning and was quoted a price. I went in the same day during the evening and they did not honor the price.Spoke with the Manager, Anthony, and would not accept the agreed price that was discussed on the phone. He also would not allow the trial pass. He seemed to be trying the intimidation sales tactic. I left without signing up due to poor integrity of management. Complete waste of time.

Hi, I tried to go to your Paramus location to use the trial I was sent. Only to be turned away because your staff that have the authority to authorize the passes do not get in until 3 hours after the opening of your gym. This wouldve have been nice to know before purchasing a lyft to go out to your gym. What makes matters worse is in the email there was NOTHING stating I can only use this membership at a certain time. So now I have not only wasted my time and money but lost out on a workout. If this is any indication on how your gym is ran, I do not want anything to do with your club. Which is also ashamed because your staff and facility seem nice. The staff member who couldn’t allow in was extremely apologetic and sincere this seems to be a management problem. I left with a bad taste in my mouth of your gym and do not plan on going back unless I see changes.

If the pool isnt filled with loud kids who dont shower before their lessons, then its closed or the whirlpool is in repair or a life guard isnt on duty. Broken equipment EVERYWHERE. Locker room a mess. I realize most gyms have their problems but when I stop going to the gym because its become a subpar environment I know its time to cancel my membership. If you are in high school or college and love basketball this might be your place because it sports a big basketball facility that is very popular.

Always go to this gym. My only problem, and that problem is universal, the gym gets extremely crowded at the beginning of the year. By mid March we are having space. The instructors are great with a variety of classes for each persons taste

Used to be a good place. Now the weights are all over the place. The dryer has been broken for weeks and there have not been any towels.

Completely disorganized and different people have different information to give you. I would avoid there are better gyms in the area. Customer service very poor and the facilities are nothing spectacular

Good gym equipment is more available than Gym clubs at half the price. Lockers are nice and big I was able to fit a motorcycle helmet no problem and have space left over for everything else

Agree with the other 1 star reviews. Broken equipment, dirty gym, disgusting bathroom. Staff is often clueless. You may want to look for another gym where the facility is maintained. Great experience with personal training though. Eric rocks!

Never met a more rude staff. I called tonight to discuss an offer I previously received from a member of the sales team and the person I spoke to on the phone had the worst attitude Ive ever heard from a person in sales. He didnt even let me get to my point of what I was calling about before he went on a rampage. Last week I went to the gym and had a very unfriendly experience from the front desk as well
