For the most part it is a great gym. The gym area is kept clean, equipment is in great condition, staff could be a little more friendlier and they could do a better job keeping the locker room clean. For $40 a month though its not bad. The pool/sauna is very nice. Always being cleaned and in good condition.

Very bad gym they charge so. Much money for annuation fee for what other hyns just pay for the month and dont use your card or they will charge you extra and be hard to freeze your account other gyms dont. Charge as much besides twenty four go some affordable shouldnt have to pay a fee to join a gym people struggling this pandemic have some compassion work with people if the have money for one month just let them pay for month why got pay 93 dollars to annionated other gyms much more readonarble

Selena was very friendly and super helpful. Made the experience a lot easier than most gyms.

Large gym and reasonably priced but the equipment is dated. Either rusted and/or ripped benches. Most LA fitness gyms do a good job with upkeep. Looks like they’re slowly renovating! Hopefully will be better over time!

I take my daughter to the swim lessons in this gym. The deck of the pool is filthy. I needs to be cleaned more often. Being that we go to a 9:30am class, the deck should be clean still, but alas there are wads of hair in the shower off area, and just gross things all over the deck of the pool. Lastly the bathrooms where we change is also disgusting. There are wads of hair all over the floors throughout the locker room, toilet paper on the floors, wet dust balls, and it’s just dirty. I don’t know how else to explain it, it’s just gross.

The people at the front desk dont even say hello anymore... They dont even look at you when you come in. Its like you dont exist... Very sad since it used to be a great place to go work out at... Very unprofessional. Management can change this to the better.

Great gym! Plenty of space to workout . . . New equipment, huge yoga studio, basketball court, swimming pool, spin room and maybe 60 treadmills & stairclimbers. Also, endless parking!

I just decided to join LA fitness today after using a guest pass and trying out the equipment - loved it! Very spacious and a chill vibe. I’ve been looking a for a new gym that’s cost efficient with not many kids (people who are more serious about lifting) that has a few more amenities than just some machines and weights. Equipment was spaced out and has lots of machines to choose from and not crowded compared to what I’m used to (also depends on time of day, of course). I can’t say enough great things about the exceptionally friendly staff (spoke with Selena and mike today who were AWESOME). Just started browsing other gyms and just one time after visiting it was a clear easy choice that LA fitness is the move 😎

The basketball courts haven’t been cleaned in months, the court has huge dust bunnies all over and we have to kick them off to the sides so no one slips and gets injured. To add on to that, there is no air conditioning in the basketball courts and when we ask them to tune them to turn it on they tell us yes but never actually turn it on. This gym needs to make changes to the basketball court as well as the overall cleanliness of the gym.

The entire place is dirty from the equipment, water fountains, bathrooms, the entire floor throughout the gym. You can’t put down a water bottle with condensation on it because you’ll pick it up again with hair on it no matter where you place it. There are lingering odors that never seem to go away in certain parts of the gym. I could go into further detail but it’s just gross. The weights are nearly always a mess because members don’t re-rack their weights and the employees say nothing about it, it’s a rarity to see employees re-rack the weights left behind. I’d be ashamed to own this location of the franchise.

This is a fantastic gym! I signed up after a year due to relocation, and employees were very friendly and helpful.Louis is the man! He explained the process very well, and was extremely helpful!

The courts today were completely unusable. The floor was so slippery to the point that someone was on the ground every 20 seconds. Everyone was forced to leave if they didn’t want to stay and injure themselves. The humidity with no ac in the court paired with the dusty floors is mess and has to be fixed.

Please go see Selena!!! She is amazing. I came in mad and trying not to be rude after old workers messed up my membership and I was about to leave the company, however Selena at the Paramus location initiated nice polite and interesting conversations. She made me feel like they cared and I knew I was in great hands. The location is nice but she made it so that I knew this company cared about its individual members. Biggest shout out to her and how she handled me knowing how I was feeling about the situation.

It has been over a year since I moved out of the area and working on canceling my membership. I send three emails with requests to cance just over last two month. There have been over over 50 phone calls, messages, requests to speak to the manager. Nothing works. The charges to my credit card stop for a few months n th en they star again. I understand that Corona virus created numerous problems, but 14 months to cancel membership? Really?

Many of the workout machines are in disrepair. The trainers are not reliable. I show up, the trainer doesnt. In less 1 year, Ive had 6 different trainers. The pool has been reopened for several weeks, no aerobics scheduled yet.

Great gym but the personal trainers are beyond sketchy I signed a 6 month contract for December-May for training sessions and I just realized Im still getting charged. Will update if this gets resolved

New revenue streams are necessary for business hit by COVID, but customers are not gettin what the paid for. Id rather be asked to pay a COVID stipend, than deal with the lower amenities. The recently opened pool is rented out to third parties for swim classes during prime hours, and Public wifi hasnt worked since reopening from COVID.Other changes include blasting of music in the training area with swear words and other foul language that exemplifies an other than ideal role model for the youngsters going to their swim classes.

Ive been to the LA fitness in Clifton, Botany Village and Kearny and they are all disgusting and unorganized-BUT THIS ONE?! The front desk actually happily greeted me, the workers were actively organizing the dumbells and there was a worker spraying the machines down! It was amazing! Kudos to the management and staff here.

Basketball court has never been cleaned since it has been opened. Floor is very slippery caused by humidity but they won’t turn on the air conditioning. They put a small fan instead of turning on the ac and me and my friends have seen multiple injuries happen at the gym. There’s also a ripped basketball net that the old management used to fix right away but this new management allows things to sit and don’t change what needs to be fixed.

This gym is by far the best gym I’ve ever been to. Super friendly staff, especially Selena! She was beyond helpful and made sure I understood everything when I was signing up! I Would definitely recommend this place hands down!!

Love the atmosphere and the attitude of the people here. Always motivated by everyone around me but mostly by my trainer Nelson! He’s great and always knows how to push me and get the most out of a workout. Definitely recommend coming here and getting him as your trainer!

Its a decent gym, but nothing special. The pool is still closed. I wish they would turn up the air conditioning though and have some wifi! It never works and when I asked about it, they said they basically gave up on fixing it.

I have been a member of LA Fitness since they have opened the Paramus location. I have not seen the gym so clean, organized, ran professionally until they hired Will as the general manager. Everyone I speak to feels the same. He is so friendly and kind to everyone which makes the environment a positive one!

This gym has the most amazing, supportive staff! Everyday I walk in and I am greeted with a smile. The equipment is clean and easily accessible to all gym members. I have been a member for a little over a year now and I have loved every second.

This is by far the cleanest if not biggest LA fitness in northern jersey.Ive been to wayne, Clifton, Parsippany, bergen, and kearny branches of LA fitness. But this is by far the cleanest gym.Its not the infrastructure, its the people who workout here. 90% of them re-rack the weights unlike other places. You can find 90% of the weights at their marked locations. According to the infrastructure, kearny is newest and maybe among best.Its new, so all machines are in good shape. Has nice pool, sauna, jacuzzi, showers, basketball court, spinning class and one big ballroom where Zumba and other dance happen.Has 3 squat racks, 3 smith machines, 3 multifunction cable & pulley machine and hundreds of others. Seriously 100 more. Come and visit it.

This place is great. I have been a member for years and will definitely be back once I move back over here. The masks are mandatory and social distancing is implemented strictly so you feel safe coming here.

You have to wait months until they fix equipment here and bathrooms need better cleaning and more frequently.

Place is a signature LA fitness in name only.

LA Fitness in Paramus has done an amazing job keeping the gym clean, organized and safe. The employees are communicative and answer any question you have. Everyone seems to be achieving their fitness goals while staying safe in the meantime.

For the metropolitan area, it is a very spacious gym. High ceilings, sick amenities (when the world isn’t shut down). They are very thorough with covid regulations. Your temp gets taken upon entry. Along with providing members with spray and paper towels, they hv an attendant walking around wiping down equipment. Felt very safe. Also, great machines, lifting equipment, and HEAPS of dumbbells!

Called the gym to freeze my account and the staff who got the call didnt make the change. And the membership fee charged to my bank account. So I visited the gym for a refund, but they said the transaction was valid and told me that they cant give me the refund. I just mailed the cancellation form.

Overall a great experience at this gym.The facility was clean and spacious. The locker room, showers, pool and sauna are all well maintained and clean. This gym is definitely the best in the area. It has multiples of the machines, a large area and selection of free weights, and a beautiful space with wall mirrors to train it. You never feel too close to your neighbor, and I never waited for any machines.Not only is this gym beautiful but most importantly the staff is very helpful and friendly. I would recommend asking for Martin for any assistance, as he is so helpful and polite. He gave me an amazing free guest pass for two weeks that maximized my experience and as a result, after I signed up for the year!I would recommend this gym to everyone in the area. And ask for Martin!!

I recently joined with my family members, we love it. The gym is spacious, clean and tons of equipment. There is also a pool, sauna, basketball courts and group classes all included in the membership. We had the pleasure of having Jocelyn, who is also the assistant GM, handle our welcome and walkthrough. She is excellent, professional and easy to talk to. She helped me with multiple options for my family and answered all of our questions. Thank you!!

So happy to call myself a member of LA Fitness Paramus. Ive been a member of different gyms before and none have come close to the excellence Paramus LA offers. Great location, generous staff, and positive atmosphere. The staff member Emilija is very professional and kind. I recommend this gym to everyone! I even got a couple people to sign up and they feel the same way.

This gym is the absolute best. The employees are always so helpful and go out of their way for their costumers. They provide a clean and positive facility in which you can work out. Joshua Rodriguez has gone out of his way to help me with any concerns that I have had, and has provided quick and easy solutions. Having such a positive attitude from employees/ management makes you never want to leave.

Beware of the gym. Freeze your account before they take your money out. I froze my account during covid, called the gym to continue my freeze, however they still continued to charge my card and then explained it was a valid transaction. Needless to say I cancelled my membership. Very pathetic gym. Hope they go out of business.

I went to the Paramus nj site.(Will) the site manager and his staff was efficient and courteous, The gym was clean in addition to various sanitizing stations. They take your temperature and encourage you to wear your mask, the gym wasn’t crowded which made it ez to keep a safe distance.Now I’m ready to. Un-freeze my membership.Thanks

Honestly love this gym. It’s always so clean and I always have a great time working out here. I go to LA Fitness 6 times a week and personally love the staff. The locker rooms are always clean and the machines are always kept in order.

One of the better clubs in northern jersey, usually never any problems and if any do arise they’re taking care of rather quickly. Staff is friendly and very helpful especially recently where I misplaced belongings and an employee Michelle helped me find where I placed them. I went in to check out the facilities and was very happy with the tour I received and the equipment present at the gym is all very clean with plenty of machines to use. All of the employees were very friendly and approachable. Rebecca gave a great tour and she was able to answer any questions or concerns I had. Great gym and still open during the pandemic

AVOID SIGNING PERSONAL TRAINING CONTRACTS WITH LA FITNESS! They do not deliver on their promise of a female, master trainer. Was told to contact corporate with my issue who gave me the run-around for 2 weeks and then told me no refund would be issued but offered more of the same lesser training. Their contracts are convoluted and basically say they can offer any service in replacement, even if it with regular trainers. If you are a real athlete AVOID THIS COMPANY.

I’ve been going to LA fitness for a while and when I signed up, Martin made it really easy and simple for me to sign up! Love this gym, it’s clean and has a lot of equipment and the staff is respectful! I would recommend talking to Martin, he knows what he’s doing and talking about. Go Martin 😗✌🏼

Very nice gym. Jocelyn was great in helping us set up a membership for my teenage son. She helped us find the perfect membersip at the right price. She also spent time with us clarifying the different packages available to him solo and us as a family.

The service at this location is by far the best out of any gyms I’ve ever been to. The staff is friendly and helpful, the equipment is super clean, and the petiole who come work out here are really friendly. Will definitely be singing up.

Let me tell you this. I am around 40 years old, super jacked, even now, but its all thanks to this gym. An underrated aspect about this gym is the service by the people at the counter, and specifically Im talking about a guy named Saleem. This kid, oh boy, he reminds me of my younger self. The guy is polite, and he is a stud. He MAKES THIS GYM AMAZING. If you ever, and I mean ever see this guy, give him a good tip. Hes a good guy, IM TELLING YA. The weights are pretty cool too.

Recently switched over from blink to LA fitness thanks to Micaela. She was very helpful and made the process very fast and easy. I am definitely happy with this change and recommend this gym and getting amazing customer service from her.

Had a great experience here, and the gym was so clean. Am really grateful for Dan the GM and his staff really taking care of me. I even met and talked with a fitness professional from LA fitness’s pro results training team Marie Ann, she showed me my body fat and gave me tips to reach my goal is the safest most enjoyable way possible, and for free included with the membership. I highly recommend this gym to any looking to get in the best shape of there life. Five out of five stars from me and perfect way to bring in the holidays. What better gift can you give someone then that of health and a facility that has everything you need to do it.👍👍👍👍👍

I love this gym,its clean,warm,conveniently located,has different workout classes,has a stair-master machine,all I need is 10 minutes in and Im done....for the day,and theres a Sauna.I love Saunas.

Most gyms smell terrible due to lack of proper cleaning. I was really surprised by the cleanliness of this gym though. I now go almost every day after work and it gives me more energy and a little late night boost to improve my evening. I even recommended it to a few of my friends who now join me sometimes. Becca has helped me multiple times and she always makes me laugh. Easily 5 star

I just signed up like 2 months ago and I’ve been loving my time at this gym. The workers are all nice, Martin was really helpful with the tour and any questions I had for him. I’m glad I signed up for this gym, definitely one of the best gyms that I’ve signed up for in a while!
