These people were a real peach. I had already talked to them about our flight coming in a little bit after they closed, and they said the worker would keep an eye on our flight and make sure they were ready for us. Little did we know, the last leg of our flight was delayed by an hour, which would put us after midnight when the Hertz counter usually closes at 11pm. I feared they would give up and close on us.The lady behind the counter was there, still friendly, with a smile on her face. It was such a relief. I didnt even have to wait in line since my car was all setup and ready to go. She really exemplified great customer service.Several passengers on the plane with me were glad the counter was still open since their connecting flights were canceled and they needed cars to get anywhere.

My experience with the Hertz company customer service definitely lacked knowledge in their locations hours. Due to a delayed flight I was scheduled to show up late I contacted customer service and they misinformed me that the company would be closed at the Palm springs location by the time I would get there. However this was not the case. So the following day when I showed up I was met by an employee by the name of Linda who is extremely knowledgeable and empathetic to my situation. She apologized on the half of the company and was extremely professional courteous as she expedited the process of the rental. It is because of her and only because of her that I give four stars because of the service that she provided it was very transparent professional and a breath of fresh air that someone cared so much about their customers. She made my rental experience worth it.

Beware, the Hertz counter at Palm Springs Airport scammed me. And may have scammed others. I showed up to pick up my car with a pre-paid reservation, and the agent asked if I would like to upgrade for only $37. I thought that was a great deal and took it. They didnt provide a receipt until one was sent to my email and I was well on my way driving the car. To my surprise, the receipt showed a MUCH higher total due to the upgrade apparently costing $37 PER DAY! Hertz refused any refund and has stonewalled my credit card company. Watch out to make sure they dont scam you.

I reserved a full size car and was downgraded upon arrival to a Corolla. They did credit me $50 but probably wasn’t worth the downgrade. The lady at the desk seemed like she wasn’t being genuine when she said they didn’t have any more full sized cars as she first asked how many bags we have, which shouldn’t be relevant if they’re actually out of full size cars. She should’ve upgraded us in my opinion if they couldn’t honor my reservation made weeks in advance. The car had a horrible smell and needed a deep cleaning.

The NICEST people work here. Im from NYC and this was a breath of fresh air. From the guy who checked us in and offered tips to the manager and another associate I spoke with after our trip who helped me try to locate a lost item, I was so pleasantly surprised with their human-ness in an industry not exactly known for customer service. Will be back! Thank you Hertz! Also, highly recommend upgrading to a mustang in PS, super fun!

I have used hertz a lot of places and this one is the worst location I’ve ever been to. When I used the app to book my vehicle it was for a shevy Malibu but before checkout they offer me upgrade to a Buick Regal for 40 dollar difference. When I went to the counter the guy that was helping saw the reservation, agreed I paid for an upgrade, and offered me a Chrysler 300 another woman who was not assisting refused for him to give me that vehicle and they said I would have to get the Shevy Malibu, and the option they offered me was I can call the reservation line and complain. I will not be going back.

Rented and returned vehicle next day for a business trip while in Palm Springs. I happened to leave my sunglasses with case in the center space under the radio/climate controls. I immediately filed a lost and found report online. Ive left items in vehicles before at other Hertz rental returns, and they have always been returned to me. Such is life when you travel a lot.Not this time.I know staff does inspections and cleaning before the vehicles are rented again. Unfortunately, nothing was turned in to their lost and found by staff. So much for employee integrity at the Palm Springs Hertz location. I hope that whoever has the tortoise shell wayfarers is enjoying them.

I came here specifically to commend Marius Olbrych at the Hertz Palm Springs Airport Agency for his excellent customer service. Having called the Hertz customer care line about 6 times today to do a simple modification to my reservation, nobody was able to help me. Until I got Marius on the line, who did what about 8 other people were not able to. I am a Hertz Gold member and the only time I felt like it was when I spoke to Marius. He renewed my faith in Hertz, where I was ready to never rent there again.

I was returning the car I rented to the airport and parked it curbside. I was told that I needed to park in a parking lot. I asked if they could park it for me because my plane was getting ready to leave. They told me no. So I parked it in a parking lot. I was then told that was the correct the parking lot and I needed to move it again. There were several agents just standing around and could have helped me, but refused to. So I did miss my plane because of it. I will never rent a car from them again. If you would like good customer service in renting a car I would advise another company.

We rented a car at the Palm Springs airport. The Hertz line was by far the smallest and quickest of all the rental companies that day. We even had another agent open another register when we arrived and he assisted us with a friendly demeanor. We were upgraded too! Loved the vehicle. . . it was practically new with only a couple 100 miles on it. Return was quick and easy as well. We would rent again for sure!

Picking up our car in Palm Springs was very fast and easy. I think for such a short trip I will not opt for paying for the full tank since we were not able to use it all so we donated a 1/2 tank to the company. The car was a Ford Fusion and it had some great get up and go and we enjoyed driving it. Dropping off the vehicle was also fast and easy and I will use Hertz again in the future.

I rented a prestige car and was given an Infiniti G60 coupe 3.0t. The car is beautiful and was amazing to drive. The Hertz agent, Carol, is always amazing and always gives us First Class service. I have been with Hertz for decades and only rent from Hertz, because I know the cars and the service with be the best. Nothing to worry about.

Excellent experience. The agent we met was friendly and efficient. They had my reservation ready when I arrived. There was a little hiccup with the type of car. I has reserved a sedan (as we were 4 passengers and luggage) and they were going to give me a highbred with little storage space. But once I explained the situation, they accommodated us easily. The car return was simple. We just drive up and were met by the valet who scanned the bar code and thanked us for our business.

Ended up being 3X my rental rate as i was told by the agent that i could keep the car additional days and could drop off at a different location with a 15$ fee. What she didnt mention is that i needed to contact them to extend the contract and revise the drop off location. My rental ended up being over $900 for a week when it was supposed to be $300. Customer service ended up giving me a $100 good faith credit back..... still I feel ripped off and I will be taking my business elsewhere in the future.

Possibly the WORST experience ive ever had with a car rental. I made a reservation for a car and spoke with a manager for a dream car. She ensured me the dream car i wanted was available so i booked my trip. Two days later i get a call that the car i wanted was not actually available. I am now stuck with this reservation with and cannot cancel the trip without fees. The manger proceeded to tell me that this was my problem and there was nothing they can do. I will be sticking with Turo in the future.

I had to wait an 45 min for the car to be ready.Offered an upgrade so I wouldnt have to wait but wanted me to pay for the upgrade.I got the car but the next day tried to get the rate that Avis, dollar and enterprise were offering for the same car and same model. They would not.. they said they dont price match even for gold members.I think I will use another company next time..

I cannot tell you how grateful we are to the staff at Hertz at the Palm Springs Airport. My husband had forgotten to check our vehicle before dropping it off, and left our passports and GPS in the car(!). We came back to the Hertz counter the next day after discovering that they were missing, Bill Burns (Manager), Anthony, Mary, Ciara and Michelle were so helpful in finding our stuff, after we were sure we were never going to see it again. We had had a family emergency, and were desperate to get back home to Canada. We were pretty devastated knowing that we might have been stuck for several more days going to the Embassy in L.A., etc. They were absolutely wonderful, but unfortunately,they could only accept our gifts of donuts (lol!), even though we offered to pay them for helping us, as is their policy. We were also very happy with the car we rented. Thank you to all of you! Donna Breen and Marty Fletcher.UPDATE: We just rented another vehicle today, January 28th, at the PS Airport, and were able to thank Anthony and Michelle again! Plus, we got another car that we are thrilled with! :)

Now called Hurtz around here. Picked up vehicle at San Diego airport. First car was totally on its last legs, could not move above 5mph, felt like emergency brake wouldnt release, there is absolutely no way they hadnt been informed of this by previous customers and rented it anyway! Next car had the oil light on when we got it. No other cars. Called the central number because we had to drive up and down mountains and through desert all day, and they said go ahead. It didnt fail but would have caused a big problem if it did because we were remote at times. Next time well stick to Enterprise.

If I could leave negative stars I would. Absolute WORST car rental place ever. Reserved a van online for one price with insurance being a set price per day. I get there to pick up the car and they tell me that was the wierdest thing the price changed right in front of my eyes that being the only place that did not have a huge line and me being in a hurry I said ok. Ha ha ha jokes on me the price doubled and the price of insurance per day tripled. WILL NEVER GET A CAR FROM HERE AGAIN NOR WILL I EVER REFER THIS PLACE TO A DYING DOG. Management also did not want to be bothered with my issue. Place is a damn joke. Renter beware!

I also am a gold member and booked through Hotwire at 30 %discount got the usual spill on upgrading prepay gas ect. Agent not that friendly and said to make sure to leave the gas receipt at check out. Of course at 4am no one is around and it was very confusing where to park the car. The choices were Alamo line or National.....no Hertz. I locked the car and dropped the key off in the hertz box and left the gas receipt in the car. Two days latter I was charged 16.40 on my credit card . I will just contest the charge and take my business elsewhere.

This review is not as much for the car return, or how I was treated upon returning my car.That process was flawless.I rented a car from LAX and returned it to Palm Springs on October 31, 2017 a few hours later .Inadvertently my husband put my IPad into the back seat . It wasnt until later that night that I realized it was missing .I am a Gold Member, but its unfortunate that I now have to rethink any future rentals.We all make mistakes and can leave things behind .Fortunately after filing a claim for my IPad, I did receive a call saying they had found it .I paid the 32$ fee for shipping and here I wait .After 15 calls at least .. I can NOT get anyone to return my call. I am disturbed that this company has this leval of customer service . PoorAnd for the record, my 3 calls today were to the administrative offices :(

I made a reservation and paid for it from my country, when I got to check out the car, the one who attended to me again charged me the total amount of the car even though I showed him the vouche where he clearly said he was pre paid. This hurt me since it left me without part of the money I had destined for this hiaje. No one from Hertz contacted me or solved me.

I was badly treated by Hertz! The contract for a Dodge Charger on the portal of CHECK24 is a malicious deception! The customers are lured with cars that Hertz never intended to hand over!I was not given the contracted charger in Las Vegas, which would not be available. In the full-size class, there would only be a Malibu or Japanese. We are completely dissatisfied with the vehicle! Underpowered and bad driving.I wanted to swap the car in Palm Springs at the airport in the agreed vehicle, there was handled as cool as before in Vegas. The exchange car is again a Malibu that drives just as bad!The company Hertz passes bogus offers on the side of CHECK24 and is then not to the agreements, I will never rent again at Hertz!
