I went in for an employment drug screen and Quantiferon test (TB test) at the Lab Corp- 066480, 555 E Tachevah Dr Suite 3E in Palm Springs, CA. My experience was by far the worst I have ever received from a health care worker. The lab technician who helped me with initial B. S., I prefer not to say her name here was very condescending. I am not sure if my race has anything to do with it because I am of Asian descent, I hope not, but the level of disrespect I have experienced there is mind boggling. I spoke to her supervisor to voice my disappointment and was told that she would take care of it. I informed the supervisor that I will go up to her corporate ladder as well. I sure hope that the supervisor or Lab Corp will take care of this matter as promised for the sake of all health care workers. I am a military veteran who happens to be a registered nurse as well who knows a thing or two about the importance of customer service. The one I received from Lab Corp by no means a reflection of all healthcare workers. Come on Lab Corp! You can do better. I hope you will do better.
The front desk has no clue how to do their jobs. They are incredibly rude, do NOT ask questions while there or they will likely belittle you or straight up yell at you. They also somehow lose standing orders all the time and you have to call the supervisor so she can do their job. Recently they decided to only run one of my daughters tests for some reason, we only found out because she needs life saving medicine (thats why she does monthly lab work) and now we have to delay this months shipment so we can go back and do it again.
So I was dont like so I never going in there again
DONT GO THERE!I booked a 10AM appt, waited an hour and a half (seems they just book everyone at 10AM). I have been to labs in third-world countries that are more efficient! They had fifteen people in the waiting room that should have no more than five. It was a circus and they just dont care -- I will never go back.
My 1st time visit to this site. After reading many of the reviews I was apprehensive about going to this site. To my surprise, I had a very smooth experience. Was in and out before my scheduled appointment. EVERYONE was courteous and answered all my questions. Very professional in my opinion.
Go to ANY OTHER LAB.They LOLd in my face through the window when I knocked and asked if I could please just ask a question... But their doors were locked 12 minutes before they were supposed to close... So of course I shouldve known better. What an ugly couple of humans.
This place is poorly operated and my experience was a big disappointment. Let’s begin with the service, I checked in electronically and confirmed with the staff that I was checked in. First staff member told me yes and to wait for my name to get called. After waiting for an hour to have my name called. I asked another staff member what my status was. She asked for my request forms from my doctor. I told her my doctor told me she had sent my documents electronically to lab Corp and she replied “Well did you confirm that with the other girl when you checked in.” Shouldn’t they haves asked me or know already? The girl also told me they called my name already and didn’t receive a response. This entire time, I was waiting outside right by the entrance waiting for my name to be called!! They were also fully aware of the many people waiting outside. By the way, due to covid restrictions at the moment, they are only allowing 7 ppl to wait inside the building. Of course, it was full inside, so a lot of people were waiting outside by the entrance. These lazy workers were too lazy to step outside to call out people’s names and missed a lot of people. Only the people inside could hear the names being called out. The staff there were calling names out through the hallway and behind their desk! Not even in the common area. How do they expect people to hear them, even from the waiting room it was difficult to hear. Pure negligence! I realized how they were operating once I confirmed they missed me, I decided to wait inside standing close enough to the hallway to hear them call out names. As I was waiting inside, I could hear the staff busy talking about Starbucks while angry people came to the window complaining about the long wait times. I waited two hours to be attended because they failed to be professional and attend patients properly. The front desk staff are unbearably unprofessional BUT the phlebotomists are fine and professional. I would avoid coming to this location and try a different one.
LabCorp has a bad reputation and it should. It is a poorly run company, ridiculously expensive for blood work and the employees act like your bothering them. The Palm Springs location is no different and actually one of the worst LabCorp offices I have visited. The employees are miserable, Ysenia in particular. They offer no help and act like they hate their jobs. Choose a different LabCorp office in the valley if you have a choice.
Not the friendliest, or helpful will be trying another Lab Cor..Ive been going to this one for many many years, I know times are stuff right now, but if your going to work with the public you need to care about people, I worked with the public for many years and even a bad day I was nice, part of the job...
They were shortstaffed today, but I waited in line over two hours, fasting, in 100-degree heat. Because of social distancing, only a third of the people waiting at any one time were able to sit in the air conditioning. The line remained about 20 people long the entire time I was there. I can hardly believe that they were so shortstaffed that they could only serve 10 people an hour. Its not always this bad here, but sometimes the wait is an hour. Also, they have lost my faxed orders the last two time Ive been here.
Made an appointment online, checked in online from my car and 10min later was called inside. I was walking out the door 10min after that. Great service and the the staff was amazing.
Saturdays are appointment only, please call the place first to verify. The office staff took the time to helped me with making an appointment. They were awesome. Penny was so understanding and a big
No more than 7 people allowed inside at once due to covid
The attitude of the employees has improved slightly, but one action showed disdain for the clients. There was a line waiting for the clinic to open. We saw a woman inside the clinic go to the door and we heard a key move the lock, but the door wasn’t opened. They knew there was a line outside, but didn’t bother to open the door or let us know that they were now open. Now, when I say thank you to each person that I encounter, they now mumble a thank you in return, so progress is being made.
Its a big-business corporate medical lab, friendly, efficient and basic routine. A little wait my first visit, yet I suspect if I learn more I can avoid that completely. Good Corp Lab for routine work. I only imagine what else they could do . . . .
So this location in Palm Springs has always closed at 11 a.m. on Saturday for over a year. And yet when you search on the internet they still havent updated their system and it still says that they close at 12 noon. I cant tell you how many times LabCorp has screwed up my day because they have no respect for the general public. They also dont tell you in their automated recordings or on an internet search that on Saturday you actually must have an appointment. In fact the automated system explicitly says you do not have to have an appointment! The last time I was at LabCorp I got up at 6 in the morning and came fasting, as my labs required it. I had to sit there for 4 hours starving, because the system of LabCorp could not retrieve my labs from a LabCorp down the street. This is unacceptable! when a doctor sends you to LabCorp, they do not send you to a specific location. If LabCorp is to have the records they should have it at every location. So as I was sitting there starving for 4 hours, I retrieved the exact doctors orders for the labs off of my patient portal. LabCorp would not accept them!If I wanted to call a LabCorp specifically to ask if theyre even open, it does not let the general public speak to a particular location. Instead it redirects you to an 800 number at a call centerAt the end of the day LabCorp treats its patients somewhat like cattle. Completely disrespectful of our time and our needs.I guess what should we expect from a massive medical conglomerate??
LabCorp is definitely a volume-driven business. No-frills office. Plain seating (but plenty of it). One TV. I went there on a Friday morning around 10, and the waiting room was a little less than half full. Customer service isnt really there, but the office clerks werent rude either, so I didnt take a star away. Like I said: volume-driven. The clerks are probably overworked and underpaid, so Im letting it slide on the small talk.If you go, I would suggest to make an appointment. I dont think many people do, so this will definitely reduce your wait time when you get there. While I waited, I saw a steady stream of patients entering and leaving. Now, the people who really make the office run like a fine-tuned machine are the collectors. They have a system down, and they know exactly what to do, what to tell you, and what question you were getting ready to ask before you ask it. As soon as they call your name, you dont waste one second in the back of the office. Theres not even a chance to sit down for a brief moment. You are constantly moving. In and out. I think it took me less than 5 minutes.FYI. My collectors name was Erika. She really knows her job. Was very courteous and professional, and followed every CoC procedure and process without hesitation.
VERY RUDE STAFF!! Now with the new check in machine they care less about customers. Something needs to be done about these rude coincided staff, we are all humans humble yourself you are not better just cause you work at a lab.
Poor customer service and communication
Made by my appointment on line.Got in and out quickly. Professional and courteous staff.A thank you to technician who drew my blood. This is the second time I have made an appointment for my visit. It makes a difference on how long you will be there so make one if you can.
Absolutely the worst. Showed up at 11:15, open till 12:00, 3 technicians were just sitting around chatting and they said they couldn’t see me because they now have an appointment only policy. Waiting room was empty, and there is no mention of the policy outside of a sticker on the door. If you go to their website, there are two listings, one with the mention of appointments and one without.Super Confusing and Complete B.S.
I have been going to this lab for many many years. Its crowded but they are quick I have never had a problem follow the instructions when they tell you to bring your insurance paperwork and an ID you must have it anybody who is complaining on here probably wasnt following the instructions that were given to them I have witnessed this many times people are just idiots. This LabCorp does an excellent job. The phlebotomist work very hard.
Very disappointed today 8/30/2019 ...Lady at front said they didnt have any lab orders under my name...Asked her to please look again under my last name and said there was nothing completely ignored me. Went to another labcorp and they found my info right away...
It would be nice to know that when they are open its by appointment only on Saturdays.
Doctors request was faxed ahead, they told me they had it, work was not done. Outside building pretty, inside it could have been a Welfare Office, very down-in-the-dumps, didnt feel clean and professional. There are several other Lab Corps in the area. I wont be back to this one.
Given no information. No estimated price. After request for estimated price for 4 times, being treat rudely. The price came out more than $500. That should be ok for me to know how much I have to pay. Pay no attention to customers. I stood in front of her. She still ignored me and talked to her friend about posting thing on fb.
One bad apple can ruin the whole bunch. Receptionist area needs a personality check. Everyone and everything else is great.
Usually a wait. So prepare to stay a while if you just walk in.
Took an uber to get my labs and turns out its by appointment only on Saturdays. Looked them up prior to coming and it wasnt stated. Staff is pretty much chatting it up while I sit here waiting for my uber to come back for me. Im the second person turned away. Very frustrating.
This receptionist staff should only be working in an off site lab away from Customers. They have zero customer service skills. I was ignored when I walked up to the desk, then without lifting her head the receptionist stopped what she was doing raised only her eyes and asked, did you sign in? There isnt a sign that gives a directive like a sign that says sign-in. have a seat. we will call you. If I had a choice and the blood work had not been requested via my Employer for this specific lab, I wouldve left immediately and found an alternative business. The Office Manager has a lot of work to do to make this a Customer-friendly establishment. Way too much negative attitude to be Customer-facing.
The recepcionist having fun lot jajaja not profesional on front at everybody
Horrible experience! Beware of this labcorp. You shouldn’t trust in these people they are liars with lab coats.Upon entering everything seemed to be find got checked in. Everything was good. Waited for about 5 mins got called in by Alondra. She didn’t even bother stepping all the way out to the waiting area with her half ass attitude. We get called to room #1. We walk in the room followed up by Eric . He asked me to hold my daughter, sat down, put her on my legs and then Alondra put on the tourniquet. I noticed it wasn’t tight but I’m not physician so didn’t say anything. Eric counts down with his bad breath and Alondra punctured her arm she missed the vine and started moving the needle from side to side looking for the vine. My girlfriend asked if she was practicing on her daughter and they didn’t even have the dignity to answer her. When they didn’t answer her I asked Alondra to pull it out. She pulled out very hesitantly. I told her that she didn’t know what she was doing and all she did was looked at me in astonishment like they had been caught doing something bad. My girlfriend asked them how long she had been working there and she couldn’t give us a straight answer so Eric speaks up and says that he had been working there for three years and she had been working there for around the same, Three years... I’ve had shoes for longer than that. I find it ridiculous that no one informed us she was practicing. I understand practice.I DONT UNDERSTAND HOW THESE PEOPLE ARE SO STUPID TO PRACTICE ON A TWO YEAR OLD!!!. BE AWARE OF LABCORP.
Girl at the front desk was very rude. Tried to ask a question and was ignored then told to sit down until called. I only wanted a cup for water!!!
The receptionists at front desk were rude.
Terrible service.
The staff seemed to be friendly enoughGot in and out within a reasonable amount of timeWhat bothered me was what they had on their TV in the waiting room....The ViewThe woman on the view spread hate for the president and their is no place for that in a waiting room....regardless of your political opinion
Good staff that does not hurt you while doing blood draws. Not much to say past this.
Fast and efficient all ways Helpful
Attitude and rude talking from 2 women working front desk at 130 on 1 16 19, sitting board yawning
The person on the back on the end of hallway is so rude
