Solid haircut location. Definitely go to Ben! Guy knows what he’s talking about and listens to exactly what you want and gives you what you want. He is definitely knowledgeable in his craft as I went to one haircut with him and I learned more about my hair than I had known before and even offered me some recommendations and now I look even more handsome than before. I will definitely be returning to Ben as I have found my new barber.

Asked for a high fade undercut and trim my ends (it was a year of growth with no cutting, so the ends needed it). Lost SIX INCHES of growth. Fade isnt high, ends are choppy (kinda rushed the cut).Im not argumentative, tipped well, paid, left in shock.Ill see if Smitten (same owners as—now closed—Hendricks) can get my fade right and cut the top so it looks ok as it grows in by winter.Prompt service.

Great haircut. No issues with the haircut, it’s just not worth the price.Basic haircut(no shave, included shampoo) and $5 tip was $47.The issue is that there is no option to get just a haircut without the shampoo.I would of liked an option without the shampoo for $15 less.

I decided to give Roosters a try after noticing that Hair Cuttery had DRASTICALLY increased their pricing over the past 6 months. My stylist was Sabi and she was lovely, couldnt be happier with my haircut! Will definitely be returning.

Around 2019 I lived in Arlington and I used Adil, he was one of the BEST barbers I went to, his cuts were fast, but an amazing quality and he made sure I walked out looking my best. I always had appointments with him and as soon as I walked in he greeted me and was ready, I never had to wait. Kudos to him. As for the receptionist, I sadly forgot her name, she was one of the best on my first day visiting I asked “which barber would be good for my hair texture” she replied with adil, and she was right. As for the overall service it was amazing and I’d give it a 10 if I could. Snacks and drinks were always offered and it was one of the cleanest establishments I’ve ever been to. I’m very happy to know when ever I go back to Arlington on vacation or even business, that I have a barber I trust there. It was a little pricey but I guess for the over all service it was good.

Avoid Amy at all costs!!!!Amy started my haircut 15 minutes late and was unable to provide the service I requested. In addition the haircut was absolutely terrible, I would encourage Amy to seek alternative career options or return to the pet grooming world.The haircut was so bad that when I went a few blocks away to the barber by the Harris Teeter they didnt charge me, out of pity, for the attempt to fix the haircut. Been in twice for a beard trim having made an appointment and both times I had to wait 25 and 30 plus minutes. Walk ins came and went before I ever got to the chair so that be the better way to go if you dont need a specific person which I did not. They do a decent job but for the price they need to be more on time and more friendly.

Avoid. Really disappointing haircut, especially at $42 (or $37 for ems/mil/pol/fire). Didn’t listen to what I asked for and just seemed to want me in-and-out in under 20 min (including washing/drying).If I’d of paid $20 at a big chain barbers in a strip-mall I’d of been upset with the quality.Just used clippers to create a side-parting rather than actually cut and blend into the back and sides. Which of course is means that at the other side it’s been buzzed super high.New to the area and this was my first time visiting this site - I won’t be back.Booked online with Diane as it looked like she had the most appoints taken, so I figured she’d be the best - I was wrong. Ok plus side my temp was checked on rival and hand sanitizer available at reception.

Charged $42 for a mens haircut. They used a razor on my neck and rinsed my hair after the cut, but didnt offer it as an option. Presumably that made it more expensive? I had to clean up the cut when I got home because it wasnt blended between the sides and the top. By comparison, my previous haircut was $24. I wont be going back to this location. Its a shame because the staff was nice.

This place does a great job. I come here for the haircut, beard trim and straight razor shave. They take really good care of me whenever I come in. So far I have received cuts from Diane and Serenity. Both did a phenomenal job. Really enjoy the hot towel and attention to detail with the straight razor. Definitely recommend an appointment here. Availability is not as bad a some places, but I would at least grab a reservation the night before.

I always go to Roosters for my haircuts. The prices are higher due to the staff being a bit more experienced and the amenities like refreshments and hot towel shampoo post-cut. Tammy and Jeff are excellent, but Ive had good cuts from other staff as well. I recommend booking on their website by searching for Pentagon to find this locations page and picking a time that works for you.

I almost dont want to name her for fear you all will book her up and I wont be able to get in, but Tammy gave me one of the best haircuts I have ever had. Only way it could be better is if they gave you bourbon during the cut, and I am not sure if they will or not. I had to go to work after. If not, hey Roosters, think about it and remember I brought it up and throw a few free ones my way. Seriously, its hard to get in for a haircut around the Pentagon Mall area and even harder to leave happy. Check them out.

Easy scheduling with lots of talented barbers. I have a few favorites but I have not had a bag experience at any of them. The wait is never terrible for a walk in but can be longer on a Saturday or Sunday.

Went here yesterday with no real idea in mind of what I wanted; only knew I needed a haircut. Showed some pictures to Jeff of some previous styles Id had gone with, and he made some great recommendations for what to do with my hair this time around. My hair looks great - Ive been getting compliments at work all morning. He also took the time to explain what he did, so if I wanted to fix up the same style I knew what to specifically ask for - great service. Definitely recommend this place.

Good haircut. However one barber wore mask without covering nose. Thats not how they work.

Diane does a great job cutting hair. Its a pain I know with amask on but they are adapting very well to the new normal.

My husband gets his hair cut here by Serenity. Cant say enough great things about her haircuts and service, always professional and she does an exceptional job, so much so that he no longer even tells her what kind of cut he would like anymore, he just sits in the chair & lets her do whatever she feels like, which is great and relaxing for him. Also like that they carry Billy Jealousy & Aveda products. Def recommend.

Me and my husband have been going here for more than 6 months now and Diane has always given us quality care and great haircuts. I usually get a clean shave every visit and my husband gets a beard trim and he’s always happy about how Diane takes her time in making sure that both of us look great and feel great after the visit.I would recommend coming in here if you want quality barbers. Also recommend booking an appointment in advance because they tend to get booked pretty quick.

I really enjoy coming to get my hair cut here. Do yourself and book an appointment online. It’s super easy. They have an easy going cancellation policy. I think the price is right for a cut and a wash.

The place seemed good, liked the setup. The only reason I gave 4 stars was, I was denied service my first and only time time to try this place out. Even after they confirmed that they take walk-ins i.e. no prior appointments, I was turned down service when I went in later that day. I was literally told “We don’t have time today” then a blank face with awkward silence. Not even a “may we make a reservation for tomorrow” or “we apologize for the inconvenience”. Bah anyway, later in my head it was hilarious though.So in short make an appointment and try this place out. Let me know what you think :)

Ive been going to this Roosters for a little over a year now. They are definitely priced a bit higher at nearly $40 for a mens haircut, but the location and service makes up for it. Sabi is amazing!! She always works with my schedule to squeeze me in last minute, takes the time to give me the cut / style that I want and she does an awesome fade!! If youre looking for a barber, I would highly recommend going to see her!

I have struggled to get a barber to give me an even cut so I changed my barber today. I had a 6 O’Clock appointment and showed up 10 minutes early. There was no one to greet me and I waited until 625 when I noticed my new barber had decided to leave or go on break without honoring my appointment. Well overpriced for constantly poor service.Serenity provides 5 star service and is the only reason I come back to this service provider.

I went here before and it was a great experience but today I went and I had the worse experience the barber was dancing to his music while cutting my hair and doesnt have any scissor skills to actually style a hair properly If you are wondering he was its the man at the very left clocked in at around 5:50 pm jan 20.

This is a very classy place with a lot of bells and whistles and amenities. The only problem is, the barbers and stylists that they have in there cannot actually cut or style hair. I dont think that they have a lot of experience. I have just recently moved to Arlington and was looking for a Barber a little closer to home. At my GFs suggestion, I made an appointment for them to trim my hair and edge up my beard. Something that normally took me half the time and a third the money at my old Barber. The experience was very mediocre and uncomfortable. The lady used three different trimmers on my hair and I still did not have that freshly trimmed, clean cut look. She even over trimmed and pushed back my hairline. She used an electric razor on my face, something I could have done myself at home for no cost. I dont know what brand it was but my face was sore for two days because of that electric razor that she used. The atmosphere was nice but for those prices, this is definitely not a place I would recommend to anyone until they get some experienced barbers in there.

I made an appointment online the night before for 5 oclock, which is probably the best way to go about it, and was out by 5:45. I love the haircut I got and would highly recommend making an appointment for Serenity!

Diane is awesome. This place is worth every penny, relaxing, precision grooming, love the hot towel, straight razor, shampoo and scalp massage. Make an appointment online, and boom... youre in and out in 30-40min.

I was very enthusiastic about the place when I saw it online and when I walked in, but I was ultimately disappointed. Definitely not worth the almost $40 ($38) it cost. If I had gotten the same haircut at a $12 barbershop I would blame myself for being cheap, but paying this much money and getting a horrible haircut is unacceptable. The barber cut the top too short and left the sides too long. I asked for a trim on top and a fade, but there was no fade and the trim went too deep. When it was done you couldnt tell I had gotten a haircut, and I am really frustated. Also the barber seemed to rush through my haircut even though I made an appointment and paid good money. Definitely would not recommend. Probably going to have to go to another barber to fix it up.

Been to Roosters in Arlington twice and always had a great experience. Its nicely located near several other shops and dining venues so you can get yer make over on and move on to the next thing .-Or heck, schedule your appointment online and walk right on in and be attended to quickly. No waiting ... great place!

Does, it is so daggone stressful trying to get a haircut especially if you cant go to your regular guy. I had a bunch of haircuts at roosters. This location and a couple other locations. 85% of them have been pretty darn good. And to be fair thats way better than average. Mind you thats also only counting the ones where I wasnt going to my regular guy. Hussain is the man and he will give you a 10 out of 10 cut every single time. The others are way better than the industry average. They actually listen when you tell them things and they dont rush through every single haircut. If you do get a shave, I recommend asking them to take a little bit of extra time lathering you up to avoid getting cuts.

Been here 5 times now, and have always gotten consistently good service from Diane, Serenity, and Sabi. My hairs on the longer side, and they cut it perfectly, provide good suggestions too. Have always made an appt online, super easy, and never had to wait. It is pricy; almost deducted a star for that, but I used to get a cut somewhere else for half the price and it was always random luck whether it would come out good or not, so worth it in the end.

Horrible experience.It was fine in the beginning, a kind welcoming and even offered beverages while we waited for the first 15 minutes in no hurry. We were a walk in, and seated to wait for the next available. Another gentlemen came in and was asked if they had a reservation and he stated no, there was one person ahead of them (me). A lady finished her client, and took the other guy who came in after! The young guy who checked me in said he booked me with the other barber for who was still working on his client. I do not understand how first available esentially reserves me to a specific barber. I didnt request them, I wanted FIRST AVAILABLE which wouldve been the lady.Totally ruined the first visit, and wasted 15minutes of my time patiently waiting for the FIRST AVAILABLE which was given away. Will not return, nor would I EVER recommend this business to friends.

Staff was lazy and unhappy when I asked the to cut my hair with the scissor vs the machine.. and the hair cut was definitely not what they charge you. Store just looks good from outside but staff is untrained for most part.

Here’s the review:Shop was very clean and welcoming staff were professional and attentive. Receiving woman (missed her name) wasn’t very friendly, but she was attentive and professional. I arrived 5 minutes early (I had made a 9am appointment) and was asked to take a seat.Serenity was timely and called my name at precisely 9am. Serenity was courteous, professional and friendly (but not so in your face that you become uncomfortable). She listened very carefully to my requests and repeated them back when I was finished; she got them exactly right, which told me she listened. I queried her for recommendations (my hair is starting to recede and thin, so I was looking for ideas for the best way to de-emphasize those things); Serenity made a few minor, yet thoughtful and clever recommendations to my initial requests. This showed me that she was genuinely interested in my situation and authentic in her approach to help. For the next hour (I never once felt the slightest bit rushed!) she focused on my hair like a true artist. I’ve heard people refer to stylists who thoughtfully and diligently “cut every single hair,” and I can tell you that I’m sure Serenity took the time to cut every single hair EXACTLY the way each one should be cut! My service was the Gentlemen’s Choice, which included the Signature Shave. I paid a little extra for the straight razor shave and I’m so glad I did! Serenity continued her fastidious approach to tending to me and making sure everything with my shave was perfection. I had never had a straight razor shave and was slightly apprehensive, but she was so talented I could barely even feel the razor on my skin. I’ve recently starting wearing a goatee and have been unsure of whether or not to keep it. Serenity worked so diligenty shaping and trimming it that I now love it!Serenity executed the shampoo massage, hot towel treatment and Signature Shave with attentiveness and perfection - I think I actually fell asleep at one point!Serenity was courteous and pleasant upon completion and didn’t push me to buy product or schedule my next appointment (although I DEFINITELY did!). Checkout was fast and efficient and the gentlemen ringing me up was friendly and professional.This was not an inexpensive experience, by any means. But when I think about how much I’ve spent on lousy haircut experiences, this was profoundly worth every penny - including Serenity’s handsome tip. It will now be part of my regular 3-week routine. And I’m very likely to make the shave a weekly event.

Good but very expensive place

Really like this place. Best haircut I’ve had. They use Aveda products for hair that feel and smell downright handsome. Greet me with offer of coffee or other beverage. Complimentary cleanup between visits. Only gripe is the TV could use dusting and picture is not HD so it’s stretched. And that’s nitpicking.
