Recently moved down here from Maine and needed an exhaust repair. Stumbled upon this shop & it has been the best decision ever. This one time stop turned into my go to mechanic for EVERYTHING. I needed some exhaust work done, and my car has some rust so I thought it would be an ordeal like usual. Not here. Brian took me under the car and showed me what was wrong and how he was going to fix it. He did a great job and earned my trust and future business.

Decided to pop in to see exhaust options for my Equus. Car went right on the rack to see how it would sound with muffler delete. Sounded good so he welded pipes to replace muffler though factory bumper and sounds amazing! Not too loud with 4 factory cats and resonator. Great quality work, fast service, good advice, and a good price. Great to see top notch customer service, getting pretty rare these days. Will enjoy these 5 liter v8 sounds daily. Couldnt be happier. Best shop in the county! Brian is not afraid of any job that comes at him. My car had some wear on the timing belt that caused light damage to my engine. Brian took it in treated me like family and went through everything taking the engine apart and fixed everything for me and now everything is running great again, does not even feel like there was a problem at all and was a great price for all of the work done to it. Will only be taking my cars to Brian in the future!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!I’m not from here so finding a good and honest mechanic wasn’t an easy task, finding someone to diagnose what was wrong with my exhaust and fix it was even harder. Until we called these guys! From start to finish they were honest and straight forward. I knew it wasn’t going to be an easy job to do but they did it!!! AND I had my car back with in 24 hours. We had an awesome experience at Allans Automotive. We drove in and Brian was right there to listen to our AC problem. Less than 30 minutes later we had ice cold air. He also made sure the service engine light didnt indicate any other issues. Brian was professional, courteous, and very knowledgeable. What a great guy and fantastic auto repair shop that we have relied on and will continue to rely on for years to come.

Brian is great. He fixed an exhaust leak for me and when he was done he took the time to make small adjustment at each connection to get the pipes, mufflers and tips all centered and perfect. After that he whipped out an automotive stethoscope and went over all the connections to make sure there werent any small leakes. Great work!

Absolutely recommend! We were new to the area and needed to take our car in for repairs. Brain was 100% transparent and honest. Rather than just taking our money, he recommended we try and get the repair covered under warranty (even though we were slightly out of warranty). And it worked, saved us $2000! Since then, we’ve taken all of our cars and recommended to him family as well.

I had a bad experience with Tire Kingdom and didnt want to go through that again. So I checked all local reviews on many websites and found Allens Automotive had the best ratings and sounded like all but 1 person was satisfied. i was greeted by Brian who estimated the work for front brakes and had it done that day. My car ran so smooth that day i it was like a new car. I went in again for coolant and steering hoses and he sourced all the materials and again had the car done that day. We moved down here from New England about 2 years ago with a car that needed a lot of help and have tried a lot of mechanics in the area before finding Allan’s Automotive. They’re the only garage that is truthful and genuine, explaining everything to you so you understand what they’re doing. When my Cadillac ATS suddenly sounded like a Harley, I asked around for muffler repair and was referred to Allans by another mechanic (always a good sign!). Brian at Allans inspected the muffler and saw that the connecting pipe had cracked. On the spot, he donned his welding mask and repaired it while I waited! How many places will do that anymore? I have worked with Allan & Brian for over two decades. They are the one thing you want in Car repair : HONESTY. They tell it to you straight and do it with integrity which is difficult to find today . They have helped me maintain both my old Lexus SUV and and Honda Pilot ( Both now over 200k in mileage) for many years. We are not oversold on parts for the vehicles but just the necessities to keep the cars working and safe. This is extremely important to us since we have two teenagers driving those vehicles and $$ matters. The bottom line is I would highly recommend them to anybody in our community. Even if you have newer vehicles which we have since they will charge you less the the dealers would and do terrific work. Again, it all comes back to honesty & Integrity.

Went here for exhaust work, along with some other things, on my BMW 650i. Brian put my car on the lift right away and gave me some ideas as to what I could do, and was very fair on pricing. He is a very genuine guy and will answer any questions you have, or make the phone call to find out an answer. I highly recommend going to see him with any issues you may have.

I originally found this place because of its great reviews and its lived up to the reviews. I have gone here a few years now, originally with a Chevy minivan and now with a Cadillac crossover. They have always been honest and straight forward. Alan is the guy at the computer and tells it like it is. They know there stuff and have fair pricing.

I own a small Audio / Video business in Palm Harbor. My trucks are critical tools required for me to provide my services. When a truck goes down, that tech is cannot make his appointments. As we are often booked two weeks out, the last thing a customer wants to hear is that their tech cannot be there. I take my truck to Allans because they get them fixed right the first time, getting my techs back on the road. Brian the mechanic is one of the nicest guys youll ever meet and very knowledgeable on all makes and models (I use only American-made trucks). I can recommend Allans Automotive (Mad Hatter) without reservation. They are honorable, fair and reasonable.

Just had part of my exhaust on my Sentra fixed; which now is quiet again! Came here since it’s close to where I’m staying, and even when I move to St. Pete, I’ll still bring my car here. Called today to make an appointment, dropped my car off and within about an hour and a half the work was completed for a very reasonable price. I highly recommend this place! Excellent service. I took my car in with a rattle coming fro the exhaust system. I had already seen two Dodge service centers and they were convinced I needed to replace my whole exhaust system. I took it to Allens and within 2 hours they found the problem was just a loose tip on the exhaust. They could have easily made $100s off of me, but were very honest and charged me a extremely fair fee.

These gentlemen are fantastic, some true hometown mechanics. They will treat you good. Have a fair price and always truthful. I recommend if you need a job done that they can do you should take your vehicle there. A plus, thank you gentlemen very much for your help

Brought in my wife’s civic with apparent loud noise coming out from the rear of the car. I’ve suspected a bad muffler, but Brian quickly checked the vehicle and identified the issue with rear bearings. Both bearings were replaced by the end of the day and the car is running quite now!They’ve also topped of A/C refrigerant and the fan is blowing ice cold air once again when the engine is idle. Thank you Allans Automotive and Mad Hatter Muffler!

These guys are fantastic. We had a drive train problem just before Christmas, they put us on the lift and did everything they could right away. They were so booked up they could not squeeze us in. I dont take my VW Eurovan just anywhere for service, its usually the dealer for me. I needed exhaust work done so decided to try this shop. After talking to Brian for five minutes, I knew I chose the right shop. He had to order parts but I didnt have to wait long. Professional job, my van has never been so quiet. Highly recommended.

I visited that place twice to ask about a new muffler for my SUV. The first time I went in, the senior (not so gentlemen) at the desk was extremely rude. I left and a few weeks went by. I decided to try and go there again to ask and the same man sitting behind the desk was there and RUDE again...I told him my muffler was bad. He sarcastically said, No its NOT! Your muffler doesnt go bad! Then I asked him a few more questions and his answers were, NOPE! NOPE! He wouldnt even have the courtesy to use a complete sentence with me. I walked out and told him that this was the second time he had been rude to me. I called back the same day to ask to speak to the owner or the manager. He told me he was the owner. I said, No you arent. I want the name of someone I can talk to besides you. His response to me over the phone was, NOPE! He wouldnt even give me his name. I really wanted to get my work done there but I refuse to be treated that way by someone especially when I came in friendly to him!
