In March, I went into Attitudes to get my hair touched up by the owner, Mona, and was extremely disappointed with the results. I showed her multiple photos before she began the hair dying process. Half way through I became concerned with the coloring since I have gotten my hair dyed countless times and showed her the photos again and asked which one my hair would look most similar to. She hesitated and realized that what she was doing was NOT like the photos I had showed her. She proceeded to bleach my hair even more (causing extreme damage and hair loss later on), dried it, forgot to cut it and curled it without asking how I wanted it to be styled. She curled it with a straightener, leaving many kinks and overall looking horrible. While paying, I alerted the stylist/owner about how I was unhappy with the color. She proceeded to make me pay for my damaged hair and I left the salon crying. I ended up having to call a stylist from another salon to help fix it. The other stylist (that I traveled one hour away to get to) was startled by the horrible job that had been done but was able to blend my hair and correct the color without causing more damage. I contacted Attitudes multiple times since the appointment and barely received any messages or calls back. They didnt offer me a refund and my hair is extremely thin now. I am so disappointed and would highly recommend staying as far away from this salon as possible. I paid almost $200 for damaged hair...I am still waiting for a refund.I have attached pictures of the 3 inspiration photos I showed the Attitudes owner as well as the results of her dying my hair.My hair was so healthy and thick before this appointment and it is going to take so long to get back to how it was before...I am very disappointed.

Went in here to get a full highlight. I had box dye on my hair and the stylist made sure I was fully aware of what could happen with my hair going lighter. Thankfully she was able to break through the box dye and we got my hair pretty light the first time without having to do too much lightening and I absolutely love the way she styled it. I believe I was with Sadie and she did some cute curls at the end of my appointment and she did it faster than who I would go to before. As I just moved out to oxford and was hoping to find a stylist out here that I loved just as much as my old stylist and I wasn’t disappointed.

Such a great place to get a haircut in Oxford! I didnt want to wait to get my haircut until I went home in May, so I decided to try Attitudes Uptown. Sadi did an amazing job and is so friendly. I definitely will be going back to her for my next cut! I got exactly what I wanted and was done in less than 25 minutes! The salon was very clean and very safe too. If you are looking for a place to get a haircut, Attitudes is it!

I love these ladies! This is what a small business should be. All stylists are very skilled, and after being a customer for many years I have worked with and appreciate and care about all of them. Ive worked the most with Tammy, Lisa, and Mona-- each of them has wonderful skills. They can interpret the clients needs and words really accurately, and they make sure to understand what is important to you/what will feel beautiful to you. :) Over the last ten years Ive worked primarily with Tammy. She has become a real friend, always listens carefully and has great ideas about how to carry out the vision I have. But I have also had wonderful experiences with Lisa, who I also consider a real friend--she is also a wizard with hair! Each woman in the shop has so much to offer. The salon stocks safe products, is impeccably clean, stays on top of trends and continuing education, and works hard to accommodate your schedule to the extent possible. It is just a pleasure to sit in these ladies chairs (and watch the beautiful results being created for others around you). I cant recommend Attitudes Uptown highly enough, after about 20 years of working with their staff. They are kind, skilled, ethical people who are dedicated to their craft, and their clients leave delighted with the results. Those smiles are part of what I enjoy about going there- seeing people leave happy and confident makes a great day. :) And I love how I look after a visit. :)

I had a really great experience here. My stylist Kristi was so good and so nice. She did a really good job creating the cut and style I had envisioned. Im very happy with my hair and I wish I would have found this salon sooner than my senior year of college.

Nails are not their thing!Went for a manicure.She removed my old polish and painted new on.The tools are shared and not cleaned between customers.The owner did not care.Licenses not posted.

LOVED the balayage I got today. Jillian worked on my hair for 7 hours... 8am-3pm. Great experience and even better results! Definitely recommend!

I usually wait to get my hair cut until I go home for breaks, but my split ends were terrible. I scheduled a haircut with Mona, who was super friendly. My hair looks great, and the haircut was reasonably priced. Id go back again!

I had my nails done for the first time at Attitudes Uptown last week. I originally was not happy with them at all; polish did not reach the sides or bottom of my nails and the shapes were all over the place. I also had two nails chip in less than 24 hours which for dip powder nails is crazy. I went back the next day to speak with the manager. I never do this!! I’m terrible with confrontation and I hate telling people I’m not happy with their work but I really felt dissapointed having spent the money and not being happy with my nails. The manager was so so sweet and thanked me for my input and then scheduled me for a redo today. I had a different lady today and my nails now look amazing. She was very attentive to detail, took her time, and even suggested mixing colors to get one I would love. I am now very happy with my nails and even happier with their response to me. I can definitely see returning in the future.

I love this place. Tammy has been cutting my hair for 4 years now, and she always listens, and always does a great job giving me what I want. I recommend this place to everyone.

First time getting my hair cut here. I went in for a simple trim and no one tried to pressure me into getting something more done, which is something Ive experienced in the past. Love the results! I always wait to get my hair cut when I go home on break, but my hair was too long to wait, so I found this place Uptown. The person who cut my hair was really sweet and didnt seem to mind that I wasnt talkative. My hair looks and feels so healthy. Will defs be back!

I got my hair cut here 1 time and she didn’t add layers like i asked so i had to go back the next day. When i left i was so upset my hair was uneven in the back she used thinning shears which i NEVER EVEN WANTED didn’t even ask! By the time i saw what she was doing it was too late.... I’ve been trying to grow out my hair and she took off 1 -2 inches when i asked for a trim... not ever going back
