This is the best Hertz I have ever been to the woman is so helpful and accommodating. She gave us the best possible price and worked with us overall was very sweet and provided outstanding service as we were extra difficult in what kind of car we needed for our trip and had to switch things up and she did with a smile quickly for us. Just awesome I will be back 10out of 10 reserve online ahead of time to make things easier for everyone :)

I have had the best results with the Oroville Hertz car rental. The employee Elaina is so very nice and she has a way about her that puts you immediately at ease. The other day when I came in to make a reservation another lady from New York Was there and boy was she rude! I couldnt believe her attitude towards Elaina. She was so rude that I wanted to stay and be there for Elainas protection. I may live in a small town but Id never ever be so unpleasant.

We had a PREPAID reservation and when I went to pick up the car, the lady working in this office, with very rude maners told us that there was not cars available. Then she left to take some lady home and left us outside saying she was coming back in couple of minutes. She took about 30 minutes to get back. When she got back she was nothing but useless. Giving not solutions and any help. After lots of arguing and TWO HOURS waiting she finally gave us a car.We had to change long trip plans, including catching planes.Absolutely any type of apologizes from this person to us for this episode.Very unorganized place and very far from being a minimum of professional.

My review would have to start with the lady who runs the Oroville branch office.I got her card to mention her in this review, Sherry Smith. She took great care of us.. made us feel like the only customer there...while there were 3 ahead of us and 1 or 2 from behind waiting. The lady doing the cleaning and ect Ashley Thurman was pretty awesome and courteous as well. Overall wonderful experience.

Recently I reserved a car online I called Hertz afterward to verify my reservation and make sure how much money I needed on my credit card in order to rent the car. The person at the Hertz corporate told me $200 and then I could pay for my rental with cash. If anyone tells you that at Hertz dont believe it! When I got you the Hertz rental place I was told that it would be $251 on my credit card and I only had $200 if it wasnt for Elaine and her patience and kindness with my frustration. She called her boss and her boss never doesnt and doesnt make exceptions but he did for me and because of her I was able to rent the car that I just really need it as my truck broke down. Thank you Elaine for everything you ROCK and of course your manager too.

DONT GO HERE, GO TO ENTERPRISE!! I was given a Toyota Corolla for a rental, and as soon as I got in it REEKED of cigarettes. I instantly pulled up to the front and asked for a different car but the lady said she didn’t smell anything, and that it must be the cleaner they spray it with. Fast forward a week later it still reeked so I went back and the lady just seemed annoyed right off the bat that I was back and asking for a new car. She said she had nothing that moment, but she was getting something later in the day and would call me. She never called for 2 weeks! I had enough today and went there and she said she would cal me today, I even asked her again that it would be TODAY and surprise she didn’t call again. And when I called around 5:15 the phone just rang and no one answered. So I called back and let it ring thinking someone would eventually pick up, and they did just to hang up instantly! And when I called back a third time they had switched it over to the automated answering service. I’m retiring the car and going to Enterprise tomorrow. Don’t go here.

What a monster! Ive never....EVER...been treated so poorly before even getting foot into a business before. I smiled as I entered the door explaining I was there to pick up a car rental. Was greeted with, WHAT!? You dont have a reservation! I explained that I had booked online. This was responded to with, They dont know what cars I have or when i have them, so NO you dont have a reservation! Needless to say, I left the place, crossed the street and spent my money at Enterprise, where I was greeted warmly, provided a nice vehicle and out the door within 10 minutes. I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS HERE EVER!

OMG what a mess of a business. There was one employee washing the cars and renting them. There were 4 people waiting and I waited for about half an hour. The office was dirty with torn blinds on the windows. The car was not clean inside. When I returned it another employee came strolling in and had the personality of a toad. She was not in any hurry to help and I had an Uber driver waiting for me. Never again would I rent from Hertz. Enterprise will come and pick you up and take you back to your location. Check this place out before you rent a car and wear gloves when you walk in to there office.

The car was dirty inside and out. No walk through was done. Drugs and cigarettes were found in the car. When I called to find out my charges I found out they charged an extra day and an upgrade that I didnt ask for. Only reason I went to them is because they were the only company that had a car available with short notice. Now I know why. HERTZ WILL TRY TO GET YOU. CHECK BANK ACCOUNTS.

They did not answer the phone when I called during business hours. Call about 10:30 and 11:00. We really needed a car urgently.We ended up going with Enterprise. They did answer their phone and helped us asap. We were very happy with their service and reliability.

Ashley is AWESOME. She is a wonder Woman. I cant believe how much she does and maintains her composure when it gets stressful. She goes above and beyond what I have seen most Hertz reps do in a local location. Most of the time a rep only answers basics and assists as little as possible. Ashley will get you the answers you need and get your car when you need it. I wish Hertz would employ more reps like her. Great Job Girl Your the Bomb.

Very Disappointed to say the least! My reservation was set for 11am on October the 2nd. Around 8:30 that morning I got a call from the location saying that they did not have any cars available and that they were guessing when they might have a car available. So I called their corporate number, both individuals I spoke with at first were very unhelpful and rude. One of them said that there were cars available at the location and wouldnt believe that I had received a call saying otherwise. I then asked for a supervisor, he at least took the time to call the Oroville location, but his final solution was to wait, not offering any helpful solutions or compensation for loss of time. All three were very hard to understand due to heavy accents. The next step was to contact the agency that I had booked through, and they were met with silence from the hertz. 2pm came around, no call, so I called the Oroville hertz, no car, estimate given 5:24. I called back at that time and the phone automatically went directly to the companies corporate helpline.... Sooo by the end of the day I had no car, and no final call and a huge head ache! The representatives were very unhelpful, even borderline rude. My recommendation would be to not use this location at all costs if you wish to save yourself time and a headache. If you make a reservation, you should have a car waiting for you, not be left wondering if you will ever get a car.

I would also give 0 stars if I could. WE WILL NEVER USE HERTZ AGAIN!!!!! DONT WASTE YOUR TIME. Went in office to rent a car for the same day. We were told the computer is down and given the 800 # to call. Went home, spent a long time making a reservation with someone in one of those foreign call centers and then went back to the office a couple of hours later to pick the car up. We were told very RUDELY that there were NO cars available, didnt care if we had made the reservation the way she suggested and had to have at least 24 hours notice. That evening I called the 800 # and changed the reservation to 2 days later. I called the local office in the morning to confirm that the reservation was received and we would have no problems. Was told they had NO reservation for us using our name, when did we want the car? Told her date and she came back that there would be a car available for that day, then I told her it was a one-way to be returned in Idaho and she stated that there were NO cars available and they dont rent one-way. THE ENTIRE TIME, SHE WAS RUDE AND ACTED LIKE I WAS INCONVENIENCING HER. I told her I had the reservation # and would she look it up? She couldnt even be bothered and then almost hung-up without giving me the number to the Chico office to see if they had something available. When I called the 800# again, they said they were unable to contact that office and checked the Chico office and changed the reservation to there at a HIGHER RATE. AGAIN, I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH HERTZ AGAIN!!!!! THAT WOMAN SHOULD BE FIRED AND REPLACED IMMEDIATELY!!!!!!

I received horrible service for the Oroville Hurtz! They are very short staffed, staff is rude. I waited 45 minutes to be picked up 2 blocks away! The vehicle they gave me was a coupe I requested a sadan like my own vehicle! The windshield wipers were old and smeared the windshield! The car was not cleaned properly and smelled of Marijuana!!! Get it together Hurtz!!! Ive been a loyal customer of this office since 2013. Today my diesel, took a dump on me, and I was in desperate need for a car to get to work tomorrow. So I run next door, from the Ford dealership, as the tow truck driver is dropping off my truck. I see the hours on the door, 7:30 a.m. til 5:30 p.m., I was thinking, yes Its 5:25, I made it. I explained my dire situation to the lady, behind the counter, and all she kept saying was, sorry I turned off my computer, nothing I could do....... I hope enterprise rental, sends her a Thank you, because of her, they are making more money. Im letting everyone I know of this b.s. event. Its a small town, and I know a lot of people.

Ive been to many Hertz and this is by far the worst expierence Ive ever had. They gave away the car that was reserved for me, when I went to pick it up I was told Id have to wait until noon bc I wasnt there at the reservation time (Ive NEVER had to be at the location at the exact time of the reservation time, as long as I wasnt there before there has never been an issue). There was zero customer service we were told to take our business elsewhere by Elena, the manager. The only remedy she offered was waiting. She was very argumentative. She said we never called to confirm the reservation, we did. And had the call log to prove it. I would NEVER recommend this location. Unless youd like to be treated like dirt.

Whatever you do, don’t call the 1-800# to reserve a car! I tried the office multiple times on Friday to try and see if they had an SUV available. I really needed a car and could not wait any longer so I called the 1800#. About a half hour before my pick up time, I called to verify the car was there and ready for me because I have run into this same problem multiple times. The employee at the office immediately said there was nothing left. I tried to tell her I had a reservation, she said where did you make the reservation? Well over the phone with your 1-800# . She proceeded to tell me that they don’t know what each office has in stock and to not call them to make a reservation. I asked if anyone around here has anything because I was desperate, I had called enterprise before I called Hertz and they had nothing either. She told me that no one has anything left, I asked if she could check and she just gave me the number for the chico office. I had to go pick up my husband, his son, daughter in law and grand child in Fort Bragg because his truck broke down. My car is not big enough to do that, so I really needed an suv. Hertz really needs to work in their inventory system. It shouldnt be that hard to keep track of cars that are available to rent at each location!! I will not be a returning customer.

I really do not think Hertz deserves one star. If giving a negative star was an option that is what I would give.This place should just fold up shop. If you cannot keep a commitment/reservation then obviously you have failed. I watched my friend make a reservation due to an emergency, whatched her print her confirmation, only to discover as soon as she is ready to go pick up her RESERVED VEHICLE, was told they had nothing left??? Leaving no time to call other rental companies. How do you make a reservation when you do not have any vehicles to rent? Hertz you either need to get a better system in place or fire all of your incompetent employees because your lack of professionalism left a family stranded for hours. My God you have one job to to and you cannot master it, thank God you are not in the medical field!!

Very bad service, never going back to this place. I rent a car 2 week in advance and when i went to pick it up they had no cars at all, and they had 2 more people waiting for one. Very very disappointing i end up renting another car in another place. No respect for their bussiness and zero respect for their customers.

The only complaint I have is their odd hours so you have to plan your rental around their hours. If you dont, you are forced to pay for an extra day. M-F 7:30am-5:30pm then Sat 8am-12pm closed Sunday
