Everyone at Universal Nails & Spa is wonderful! They take great care of me every time and I recommend to everyone I know. They have a good selection of colors and the staff always helps me find the prettiest ones. Clean and hygienic.

Daughter and I scheduled pedicures. Everything was fine until I requested French tip pedicure. The owner, who was doing my pedicure, was visibly irritated and indicated that my toe nails were to small. I didn’t believe this was an odd request since I have done this previously many time before at other salons. He got up angrily and stormed into the restroom. My daughter and I felt very uncomfortable. The owner proceeded to talk about me for 15 minutes straight and had another employee complete my French tip pedicure. Never had this experience at a nail salon. I will never return.

I picked a color for my nails was having the dip done and it was a nice light shade of pink, turns out they were lavender purple, I told her that isn’t what I wanted or picked. They said sorry she did a good job and gave me $10 off, I thought they should make it right by doing it over in the right color! I’m not going back!

I have been going to this place for nearly 2 years now, and I am writing this review while getting my pedicure. There are no dividing plastic shields like other pedicure places. I observed the cleaning practice after the customer vacated their pedicure station - the cleaning was hardly any cleaning. First sign of their lack of commitment and seriousness to cleaning protocol. Then a customer arrived without a mask, it made me extremely uncomfortable. They did not say a word and made her sit next to my station. This is indoor space and one that is very prone to getting the virus spread inside. They increased the prices, and yet did not take the effort to implement the safety protocols such as shields, thorough cleaning after each customer. I don’t think I can support a place like this.

Very pleased with the service. Very professional and did an excellent job with both a manicure and pedicure.

I have been going here for a few years. The owners are amazing and remember their clients. Vicki and Tina do amazing acrylic nails. They are the only people I trust in town to do my nails.

The people that own & operate Universal Nails are the best. They are so kind, they remember everyone & it really makes you feel like they care. I think they do care - & that makes me want to go back there. The salon is always clean, & they’re definitely going out of their way with during these COVID-19 times. A slight amount more expensive than other places in town but I’ll gladly pay it for be cleanliness & customer service!

Love this place! Had a fill and gel manicure today. She made sure it was even and made my nails short — which is what I wanted. She didn’t put 47 layers on... which is great because I hate when they lay it on so thick that it looks really fake. Always have great service. Clean, quiet.

My wife had a stroke years ago. The owner mocked my wifes bent hand and fingers.She was devastated.

I love this place! Tina does my gel nails and the job is immaculate. Best ever! The techs are great, the atmoshere is pleasant. The salon is contemporary and clean. I love the owners. They are fabulous and funny! Highly recommend this place.

I got a dip manicure today and it’s probably the worst manicure I’ve ever gotten. My nail shape is crooked and the dip powder is soooooo visible on my nail. He left old nail polish all over my hands. 😩

Ive made 3 appointments in the past and each one i walked out because they had me waiting for almost 45 minutes every single time. Finally i gave up. Never going again.

Absolutely love this salon. I have tried at least 5 others in the area because they were closer and go back to universal every time. The owner is so nice and all of the ladies are wonderful. They always ask how Im doing, how my little girls are, and treat me with kindness. Love the job they do on my hands and feet as well!

This place was awful!!! I walked in for a gel manicure and they looked at me like I was an alien, after shouting they found someone who was willing to do it. I sat down and told her what I wanted, she scoffed and filed my nails down to the nub! I told her it was too short and she said it will grow back! She spent the whole time filing then when it came to the massage all she did was take cocobutter slab it on both arms and then threw a towel at me and walked away! She then came back and said I owed $38! That is the most expensive gel manicure I have ever gotten and it was awful! I will never go back, I planned on talking to the owner but no one will pick up the phone. AWFUL, AWFUL, AWFUL!

Mike aka Miguel didnt cut corners in his manicure process and gave outstanding quality manicures! Go for the $35 manicure and be sure to be clear about what you like and dont like. Well be back!

This is hands down the most enjoyable nail salon I have been to. The staff is friendly. The salon is quiet and very clean. All their nail polish is new. I would recommend this salon to anyone.

Go somewhere else period... Came in here because I had seen some peoples nails and they looked good. I asked where they got them done they look nice but the customer service is a bit rude. Not sure how they have good reviews the man I saw was rushing not taking his time. Also my nails were not dry yet on pedi and wanted me to pay and not when I wasnt ready. Second I asked if I could add tip to card but he said they only did cash for tip and could not add to total. When he found out I didnt have cash for his tip he gave me the artificial flip flops (after he made me walk barefoot not even dry yet to the dryer) and said you can go now. Go now. He didnt know that I felt bad that I didnt have cash on me at the moment but I was still going to come back go to ATM and tip him. Regardless of his attitude Im not the person to still not tip although inside I felt a bit hurt how he treated me. But because I changed color once I appreciated he did that before and still wanted to tip so I went back to get cash and gave him tip when I walked back in I could tell he wasnt happy gave me a little dirty look when I came back few min later...Despite that I still gave few $ tip and left it on his table for him. After I did so he was acting all nice again oh thank you I would NOT recommend this place and go to other location. In oro valley which is art of nails much better and worth the wait and customer service much much nicer.

They did a very poor job, they seemed to be in a rush. I showed them exactly what I wanted and they didnt even get close. My nails were oddly shaped and werent painted all around. I dont recommend this place go somewhere else.

Horrible, they were good the first time, a little rude but liked their work. We have been back two times to have filled and they were very rude, nails started lifting after 3 days, broke one, went in to have fixed and the girl said your nails look horrible, they need to be redone, who did them well, they did.
