Since I often make consumer decisions based on reviews, I wanted to share my experience with others who may do the same.Basically it was everything you would want for service for your car.1) Cost quote-I called 5 other businesses and this cost was one of the lowest and I went with them because they have a better reputation than some other local shops.2) Timely- From when I dropped off my car to when it was ready for pick up was all of 90 minutes.3) Honest- It was nice to go to a car shop and get the requested work done as opposed to being told I need 3039572 other things done asap as well. Additionally I overheard the gentleman (I think hes the owner) on the phone with another customer and recommended a cheaper alternative to them to fix their car rather than bringing it in.4) Personable- By the end we were chatting about family and it was just a friendly visit.Thanks for the positive first experience! As long as we live in Oro Valley, this is definitely our go to shop for car maintenance!

Awesome! So good to finally find an auto service with integrity, fair prices and extremely knowledgeable in car repairs. Jeremy, the owner, is especially passionate about figuring out whats wrong with ones vehicle and making sure it gets repaired with excellence. Sure seem like he particularly enjoys telling us the repair was minor and no charge!! I think it makes his day as much as it does ours, happened on two separate occasions when we thought the repair was going to be costly. Very friendly and efficient. Highly recommend!

I have been taking my vehicles to Jeremie at Oro Valley Automotive for at least the last ten years. We were on a long road trip and discovered that we had a leaky front strut on our truck. We were coming into the area and so we researched the best place to get our truck fixed. We concur with the great reviews!! Jeremy has great customer service! We thought we needed both struts replaced and he told us that there was only a problem with one which was great news! He knew that we were probably only a one-time customer and he still gave us such great attention and expertise! I wish we had a place like this near our home. It was also funny that he called me by name when I walked in for our appointment even though he had never seen me before. He was able to do that because he knows all of his regular customers by name and he didn’t recognize me- so I must have been the new person!

I went in to get my check engine light diagnosis and my wheel alignment and when the engine light report came back the manager Jeremy tried to tell me that I needed parts that had nothing to do with my problem just to try and make a sale and after my alignment was done I got the paperwork from it and was told everything was good to go when I left my car was clearly drifting to the right I went to another shop and showed them the paperwork and OV automotive did t even do my alignment and charged me for it also to top it all off when me and my wife went back to the shop to try and get the situation resolved the same manager (Jeremy) was very unprofessional and was making inappropriate comments to my wife and was making her uncomfortable I asked him to stop and he continued to make comments Avoid this shop at all cost worst experience of my life and management are crooks.

I was an autotech for a number of years and while I dont do it still for a profession, I still do all my own repairs except for a few things that are out of my hands. Recently I ran into a snag where I needed a specialty tool to move forward on my current project and I could not find one for sale in Tucson at all. Jeremy was able to fit me in and take care of my issue. He was very polite on the phone, and that carried over when I came into his shop. There are not many techs I would have work on my vehicles, but after my recent experience, if I run into another issue that I cant manage myself or decide to just not do it myself, I would feel confident using this shop. Pretty rude and dismissive on the phone - youd think that a company would want paying work during a pandemic, but apparently not.Edit to add: Store policies are fine! Many shops dont allow people to bring in their own parts, even if those are hard to find, long-lead-time special order items, as was the case here. But theres a polite and professional way to inform people of store policies, and a rude and condescending way. This shop chose the latter.

I started using Oro Valley Automotive because many have recommended it on the Next Door app and my prior mechanic was too far from me. So far I had a great experience here. I have taken my vehicles for so long to Jeremy at Oro Valley Automotive (decades) that I think hes my brother. Jeremy is amazing. Great service every single time. Recently I bought an 06 Honda Odyssey with an extended warranty. When it broke down (smoke/steam pouring out of engine), I had it hauled to Tucson Subaru per the extended warranty to get fixed. The extended warranty wouldnt cover a dime of a $700 valve/relay/recharge AC plus the $130 diagnostic fee so I took it to Jeremy who charged me $300. Saved me $400. Could have saved more if I hadnt hauled it to Tucson Subaru and paid the $130 diagnostic fee. Sheesh. Jeremy is THE GUY. So great to have a mechanic you can trust.

I recently visited Arizona and wanted to get my truck checked out to make sure everything was in good running condition before I drove back to California. The service I received from this place was above and beyond any service I have ever received from an auto repair shop. they are friendly, honest, and thorough in there work. They took the time to do a travel inspection topped off my fluids and did an over view with me of what needed to be addressed in the near future, all at no cost. They would have changed the fan because it was cracked but the part had to be ordered because there wasnt one in stock nearby and I didnt have time to wait for the part. But they assured me I would make it back to California. I observed how they treated the other customers coming into the shop and the quality service was above and beyond. Rare in this day and age. Jeremy came out to listen, even though he was very busy, advised us that there was no danger or serious issues and when he could get us scheduled for the needed repairs. I scheduled an appointment to have the AC Recharged. They took our van in right on schedule and had the job done in less than an hour. Later that day I discovered the AC capacity sticker should have been updated with the correct amount during a past recall repair. Fearing it was overfilled, I took it back to the shop. The shop manager took the van right in and refilled it with the correct amount at no cost. The shop is clean and the people that work there are very nice. I highly recommend Oro Valley Automotive.

We had a outstanding experience with Oro Valley Automotive. We were from out of town when our car broke down. We didnt know who to call so just started going down the list of repair shops. All of the other shops told us that it was too close to the end of day and could not fit us in. We were blessed to find Oro Valley Automotive. Not only did they say they could fit us in but would stay late until our car was repaired! Our car was repaired skillfully and efficiently and we were able to make it home. I had a great experience at Oro Valley Automotive. Jeremie performed a transmission test on a 2011 Lexus we own, and gave us a few options as to how to resolve our issue. One option was a referral to another company to buy a rebuilt transmission instead of getting a brand new one through him. He charged us a nominal fee to do the testing. As we always do with big expenditures, we proceeded to get a second opinion from a repair shop in Rancho Vistoso which we have used before. We were told by them that the system to test the transmission was not working in the car, and it would cost about $500 to do the testing manually. It seemed very strange to get that response when Jeremie had just ran the transmission test without issue. When I spoke to Jeremie about it, He told us to bring our car back to him to confirm the transmission test was working. IT DID. Jeremie did not even charge us for the second test. I do not like to accuse anyone, or any business of being dishonest, but there was a DEFINITE problem with the information provided by the shop in Rancho Vistoso. I would never go back there. I will bring my car repair business to Jeremie at OV Automotive, as we were very impressed with his knowledge and honesty. He easily earned our future business.

Jeremy does a great job on our vehicles. It does take a full day and not available on Saturdays but the quality of service makes up for it. We even have him do a diagnostics test on any used car that we are looking at for our kids before we buy it as well. All the reviews are true to what they say. These guys are honest mechanics and do the job the right way. I brought in my Mustang, I noticed that the AC compressor was not turning, and the car was overheating. I took it in 1st thing in the morning, and Jeremey was able to take my car in. It turned out it was the cooling fan, he replaced the unit with OEM parts straight from Ford. Got my car back by the end of the day. He does not upsell you, he is an honest and humble business man. Brought in my daughters car for an oil change service. She wanted to bring it to a chain auto store but I told her that giving her business to a family owned business is the way to go. I was advised it would take 45-60 minutes to complete because they do a full once over and check and fill all fluids as needed, awesome. Once complete, I picked up the car and asked the owner if everything looked good and he said yes. Within 7-10 days the power steering started to make a loud noise. I called them and setup for it to be looked at. They told me the power steering was leaking and it ruined the rack and pinion and it would be $900+ to repair. I find the odds of this just happening after everything was just checked to be slim at best. Unfortunately, I can neither confirm the service performed nor prove it was never checked to begin with. Lesson learned, just because its family owned doesnt me your family when it comes to service.

I have to admit that I am the brother of the owner of Oro Valley Automotive but I have to say, Jeremie is the best mechanic I know and I have seen a few. Our dad owned a repair shop when we were kids. I am writing mainly in response to Eries review of inferred dishonesty by OVA. I have to say that the $310 bucks he threw at them was mainly due to the Mercedes brand of car I and if someone was going to intentionally cause a problem in your car so they could repair it, I am quite sure it wouldnt be a flasher box. Things like that are nothing but a loss to a repair shop. My advise is to be very careful about what you infer someone did especially when you infer dishonesty.

I own a small pool service business and have 8 trucks that need service, from oil changes to any number of things that go wrong with trucks that are on the road 5 days a week 10 hours a day. I used to get my work done at jack furriers on ina until I felt liked I was getting worked over one day. I took my truck into Jeremey for a second opinion and my $800 repair turned into a $60 repair. OV automotive had my business after that. I wouldnt trust Jack Furriers ever again and i immediately took my trucks away from those dishonest salesmen. I told Jeremy to treat me honestly and I would always bring my fleet in to him. He isnt the cheapest in town but I can feel rest assured he will do the right thing and be honest. Thanks Jeremy!!
