Rented a knee scooter from Scootaround on 8/14/2021 for a cruise on 8/21 2021. There website clearly states Copied from web site (we deliver your cruise mobility scooter rental directly to your ship, cabin, port, hotel or residence) Well on Monday 8/16/2021 they send me a conformation on where to pick it up and return outside the terminal. I called and said that is not what the web site said and she said due to covid I would have to pickup and return outside the terminal at a predetermined location. That was not acceptable lugging that scooter on and off the cruise ship so I cancelled. Tracy said ok but no refund because I did not buy a cancellation policy. My augment was I would not cancel if they could deliver what they said. They dont care no refund. I used my debit card big mistake so there is no recourse.
My parents came from Washington State, had an appointment to pick up 2 scooters and when we got there they were closed. Called repeatedly and got no answer. Sat on hold over 10 minutes and was given the option to leave a voicemail. Customer service obviously lacking, nonexistent.The order number is 548655.I spoke with customer service today. When I questioned the difference in scooter prices it was explained as they could have adjusted it, but they didnt . That is how it was worded to me. Apparently a $42 refund is being processed for my parents 2 scooters. My father was paralyzed from the chest down in a motorcycle accident and can hardly take 2 steps without help and my mother is currently battling pancreatic cancer and going through cheno and cannot walk due to inability to breathe while walking... The fact that they were stranded without the scooters they were depending on, in my opinion a $42 credit is a slap in the face. But we were informed that NEXT time they might receive $10 off.
I had several issues with the scooter I rented from day one!! Scooter not wanting to move, scooter not wanting to hold charge, and poor customer service. I called for a replacement scooter since I was at Universal Studios and the scooter wasnt holding charge at all. I am unable to walk or stand for long periods of time. I was told our driver has left for the day and you will have to wait for a replacement to be sent and that wont be until tomorrow morning. Completely and totally unprofessional and lack of care! The scooter rental ruined my vacation not only for me but for my kids as well. This was their first time to visit Florida and they had a horrible time over a scooter that wouldnt work!!! I asked for a refund and was told that wasnt possible!! DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON THIS COMPANY!! I WOULD GIVE THEM ZERO STARS IF POSSIBLE!!!
The email was all messed up even though the lady that reread everything said the information correctly. Didnt tell me I had to confirm anything. I look for my wheelchair to find out it wasnt delivered as requested. Try to call them to no prevail. I went to the building which said open, lights were on, cell phone on the desk but no answer, 30 minutes of ringing the door to finally get someone FROM OUTSIDE to let us in. I received someone elses wheelchair( name on the inside tag wasnt mine) the guy from outside was awesome and took care of us quickly. Thats the only star savior about them
Wonderful customer service and best price around.. guy who runs the store had me in and out in 5 minutes with a last minute rental and went out of his way to accommodate my needs. Would definitely recommend to others!!

It was a very convenient and non stressful company. I called 3 days into my vacation and got the chair that same day, only a few hours later. The checking out the chair, and checking in the chair was extremely easy. Battery life was long. Small and compact. Loved the experience all around!
I travel frequently and when I cannot bring along my mobility chair from home, Scootaround takes care of me. The CS representatives are always helpful, courteous, and find me the best price of any mobility chair rental company. Recently, I had to go out of town last minute, and they were able to get me set up the same day I called. They are always dependable, punctual, and if there is any issues with the equipment I rent, they have a replacement as soon as possible. I highly recommend this company—they deserve more than just 5 stars, and make rentals cost effective, stress free and hassle free. For cruise ship travel, or theme part tourism, I highly suggest looking into the Whill Model Ci—it’s small, compact, powerful, and can maneuver around super tight areas. It also has a very long battery life, too.
FYI scooters are not very accessible on a cruise ship! My Mom had/has 2 cruises planned. I booked one for both. After returning from her first one, she said cancel it for the next one. It takes up so much room even in a decent size balcony cabin! And trying to navigate down those super narrow halls, especially when all the room stewards have their carts out is nearly impossible. Well, they refuse to refund me for the next cruise, even though its well over a month away! They are literally out nothing!They said its cancelled but they are keeping my money. It seems very unreasonable to me. My credit card company is going after them for my money.
I have a condition similar to MS. Two days into my trip to Disney World I fell ill and couldn’t walk. They promptly delivered a very nice scooter to my resort and I had zero issues. To return it I simply left it at resort for pick up. Very convenient and it saved my trip!
I was extremely pleased with this rental. I have different issues and I was afraid that I would not be able walk by time I got home. This was truly a life saver. Wonderful service. When I arrived in Orlando I had no intention on renting anything. Honestly didnt know that was an option. I have some health issues and it is very hard on my body walking any kind of distance. My sister had rented a wheelchair for my mom. Once it was determined that I should rent a scooter. I did everything online and the scooter was dropped off at the resort. I was under the impression that I needed to be there when it was dropped off and picked up. I had requested that it would be picked up on the day before I left. I had to make a call to change the pick up date and the whole transaction went great. I will definitely use this service again. I cant even describe how much this helped and how easy it was to set up. Wonderful service.
I used Scootaround for my recent trip to Disney World. I had just had a surgery and could not walk long distances. The companys service was outstanding and the scooter lasted longer than any other that I have experienced! I was very impressed with the quality for the price. I definitely recommend Scooter rentals from Scootaround!
Everything was exactly as promised. Perfect experience. Made even better because we had originally planned to visit in December 2018 but had to cancel. You even gave us our money back! So obviously we used you when we were finally able to come in June 2019. I even referred an older couple to you on our last day at the park as they were really struggling with her pushing his wheelchair. I think they called you that very day. Excellent customer service!!!

My initial order was handled very well and my scooter was waiting for me when I got to my hotel. At the end of my stay, my plans changed and I requested more time and a different pickup point. The girl I talked to was new, but after speaking to a supervisor, okd the change and everything worked out fine. I really appreciate their flexibility and cooperation.
We did not have the greatest experience with Scootround. The scooter that we ordered for my dad to take on our cruise was promptly dropped off at our hotel and everything appeared to be good. The issue came up while we were on the cruise and that we were given a scooter with a bad battery. It would charge fully and then deplete within about 5 to 10 minutes of scootering. We ended up having to push my dad through the hallways of the ship until several days later when we got a replacement battery. Luckily carnival cruises was able to give us a loner wheelchair and after we got the battery it seemed to work just fine. Their customer service was great and refunded us for the days that the scooter was inoperable. I would probably use them again however I think I would stick with a wheelchair as opposed to a scooter.My rating system consists of a 3-star being exactly what you expected and neither good nor bad. A 4 means something was extra special and a 5 means you were blown away. A 2 star rating was disappointing and a 1-star rating is terrible
My wife recently began using a motor scooter. Rented from these guys until the insurance company was able to get us one. Very good staff and a pleasant experience. Had trouble slightly with the website but otherwise everything went off without a hitch. Recommend these guys if you need to rent a scooter. Very easy experience.

My experience was excellent. The gentleman I spoke to was very knowledgeable and most helpful with my request. And the fact that we had delivery and pickup of the equipment right to/from our rental property free of charge was an added bonus.
My grandmother and my mom came to visit from North Carolina. My grandma had a fall before she arrived and once I saw her, it was clear that she would be uncomfortable walking around. I looked up wheelchair rentals in the area and found this business. The people I spoke with on the phone were very pleasant and made the process of booking a rental wheelchair easy. They delivered the wheelchair to the hotel in which my mom and grandma were staying. I even called to extend the reservation and had no issues doing so and found the price for the rental to be very reasonable. The wheelchair was in good condition and helped us make sure my grandma could have a good time without trying to walk around while she was in pain.
Loved everything about renting from this company. The Whill CI electric wheelchairs were perfect for going to Disney/Universal Studios. They went through the lines easily whereas scooters have to be parked outside of lines. Having the free pick-up/delivery service to our condo/ hotel was a huge plus. That saved us an hour a day at the parks versus having to wait in line daily to rent at the parks. It was less expensive too! Will definitely rent again when were back in Florida.

We were in Florida on vacation and my mother is unable to walk long distances. Scootaround was recommended by a friend. It was only for 24 hours because we were going to The Holy Land Experience, so we had to go and pick it up. Which wasnt a problem because we had a rental car and it wasnt far from the park. But if you need it longer they will deliver and pick up. They were very helpful with walking me through how to break it down and put it back together and making sure I could do it before leaving. No problems with the equipment. It was clean and functional. I would recommend.

This place ROCKS!!! I I was on vacation and my rollater broke. I was devastated. I sis my research and found this place. We drove o er and I sat in about 10 before I made my final decision. Rented a scooter for my mother to use at the parks. It was very efficient and hardly lost battery.
After making arrangements and paying for my scooter rental online, all I had to do was pick up the scooter in the hotel office the morning after my arrival. And when my convention was over, all I had to do was return the scooter to the hotel office for Scootaround to pick it back up! What a lifesaver it was during my trip. I will definitely contact them again in the future.

Excellent mobility company 5 stars. They do a range of goods to hire and probably sell. I was on holiday so only wanted to hire a walker with a seat. I had struggled to get about the apartment for nearly 2 wks my husband was worried I might fall when I was alone. He went to reception and was given Scootaround tel number. My husband explained the problems I was having and agreed a price for the remainder of our holiday. A few hours later my walker was delivered to reception, my husband went down to sign papers and collect the walker . I was so pleased it made a big difference to my stay. I wished we knew about this company before we set off on our long journey from England to Orlando Florida. I would have hired my walker and possibly some other aides prior to setting off,the t would have been there for when we arrived. Its not worth the hassle trying to get about Airports when its so cheap to hire equipment. I would highly recommend this company, they even collect on the day you are leaving
This company was super. Unfortunately, I broke my leg a week before my cruise and needed a chair for accessibility. I was able to rent a chair within a week of my cruise when other companies would not accept last minute transactions. The chair was at my cabin earlier than promised. It was in good condition and identified. It was extremely convenient to leave the chair at my cabin and had it picked up at the conclusion of my cruise. I hope that I never need to order a wheelchair on my vacation in the future however, if I do I won’t hesitate to rent from Scootaround. This company also had the best pricing for their rentals. Plus all the way around!

We rented a scooter for my husband for a cruise to the Panama Canal in January of this year. As promised, it was in our stateroom when we arrived and worked perfectly for him throughout the entire cruise. We simply left it in the stateroom upon our return to Ft. Lauderdale. And the price was quite reasonable. We would definitely rent from Scootaround again.

Be careful! They only have some of the models available for online rental where you can read exactly what you are getting. If you have to call to rent they will not tell you that you need cancelation insurance in order to cancel without charge until they have your credit card number. The person we spoke to said it very quickly after a lengthy call and we turned it down without fully understanding that they would charge our card no matter if wanted to cancel. Mind you, this reservation was a month in advance. We called after placing the reservation and reading about the cancellation insurance. They will not add the the insurance to existing reservation no matter how far in the future. They just want money without providing service.
They delivered my husband scooter to a Disney resort they were on time which is everything when you’re on your family vacation explain the different features of the electric scooter to my husband would definitely use them again and recommend them to friends and family

I rented a scooter for my mom on a 5 day cruise leaving from Port Canaveral. It stopped working mid cruise. And the end of the cruise we had to request a wheelchair to get her off the ship.I have called and emailed and no one has ever responded. The $151 that I paid was never refunded, not even partially. I would never recommend this vendor. It does not stand behind its products. And there is no customer service.

After suffering through the pain of all the walking on the first day, i couldnt do it again the second day . I thank God they were there and available and that I had the money to be able to rent. It is a bit pricey but it was worth the spending to not be in that much pain driving home. Thank you

Rented scooter for two days during IBS convention for my father. Scooter worked great first day. Second day the scooter died in the South wing, some type of mechanical issue. Scooter died right before lunch causing us to miss a reserved paid for lunch in the west wing. We had to abandon scooter and catch a shuttle to west wing to pick up a new scooter and buy lunch for $30. When we dropped scooter off that evening we asked for some type of reimbursement for our hassle, missing a reserved lunch, etc. There were no apologies and they would not give any discount for a broken scooter that cost us an hr and half of time and missed lunch ($30 to buy another lunch)
First 4 days the scooter they gave me was a piece of junk. I called them several times and they just wanted to charge me more money. Finally when the thing would not go any more they changed ot for us but most of our site seeing was done. I will never rent from them again and we picked them up and delivered it back to them.
We rented 2 scooters while staying at Disney! The scooters were promptly delivered by a very friendly driver, who showed us in detail how to properly charge and take apart the scooter.We reserved them on line and wasnt sure what to expect. We were greatly pleased witht the quality of the equipment and the friendliness of the staff. We will use Scootaround again and recommend anyone else needing a scooter in Orlando to do so! Their rental rates were very competitive to other companies we checked with but after seeing the others equipment when we were out and about I am very glad we made the choice we did! This is the best product {WHILL} on the market and Scootaround is the only company carrying it. We picked it up at their location because we needed to know how it worked. The item is new enough that their representative wasn’t sure of all the details so she took the time to go to Google and look it up. She showed us everything and the rest is a matter of a small learning curve for the user.This has 2 front wheels configured to all kinds of terrain and is powered by mouse on right side. It was phenomenal. You can do a 360 without taking any additional space...WHILL dancing! We were in WDW and this handled every park with ease, adjustable speed and had an 8 hour battery time on average. We were told it would be 6-8 hours and it lasted at least 8 and sometimes longer. A read out on left arm tells you how much power is left and it never went below 30% for me. As the battery goes down it has no effect on performance. And the time to plug in and recharge is much less than I expected. We came back to resort for a nap and unit was at 36%....plugged it in before sleeping and 90 minutes later it was back at 100% and ready to rock and roll.The WHILL is the best item on the market for me - it turns on a dime, and is so easy to use. The best part is it breaks down into 3 portable pieces so no special transport is needed. We had a minivan and when we went to other locations, we broke it down into 2 pieces and loaded it in vehicle. It has a small basket underneath seat for placing items - if I had to make an improvement, the only thing I would change is the volume on the horn. It was never heard by anyone in the parks...but in all fairness, neither would a bullhorn be heard in the parks!The chair and back are extremely comfortable and unit is smaller than anything else making it much easier to get into small places and maneuvering is a breeze.. I must have talked to 40-50 other tourists that stopped me and asked about it and I predict an increase in business for Scootaround! WHILL surpasses anything else you can try.And the next model up in the line can be used with an app that can park the unit without aid of driver! The other item I liked was a lock on back side of chair that is not easily visible to someone wanting to go for a “test” drive! I was able to park and lock and chair could not be moved by anyone else. It stumped WDW cast members.I know this review is long but it is worth the read. Customer service was outstanding and it was picked up at our hotel at end of trip. Customer must be present for pickup and representative arrived on time to the minute! I will not use any other company in the future and hope to buy one of these WHILL units.

I rented 2 scooters for family while in the Disneyworld parks, one worked great, the other only lasted about 4 hours, scootaround cant get on Disney property to service them, therefor you have to push it off the property to meet them between 8 and 6pm only, or you can search for a outlet to plug in and charge between waits. We choose to charge between rides instead of loosing 2hrs of your vacation at a Disney park. If your going to the disney parks pay alittle extra and either rent it from the park, or find a company that can go on park property.A couple of annoying things is that there hours are from 8-6pm. Disney parks can open at 7am, so to have your chair. you need to rent it the day before, no matter when you pick up or dropp off your charged for the whole day.They wont leave the cart in the motel lobby, you have to meet them to pick it up and dropp it off.If your vacation time is valuable pay alittle more with another company for the extra services.
I rented a power chair for our trip to Disney World. The service from scootaround was great! People were so feiendly and helpful on the phone, they delivered it near the lobby of our resort before scheduled time and gave me no problems changing the time of pick up. The two gentlemen I dealt with when receiving it and picking it up were extremely nice. The power chair was fully charged when I received it and kept its charge through the entire day at all parks. I would definitely recommend scootaround for your needs! The prices are one of the most reasonable also!

After day two of a three day wheelchair rental we realized the chair had been so hard to push because the armrest had been rubbing against the wheel, creating drag like the brakes are on, whenever someone is sitting in it. I called to get the chair exchanged out and was told that the delivery driver had been up since 5AM was done for the day, it was 10 after 5PM. I asked if they could just pick it up in the morning and credit the 3rd day, they wouldnt even entertain that idea. The phone rep proceeded to try to explain to me how to repair/adjust the wheelchair myself (in my hotel room with no tools), I told her its not my job to repair their stuff. She then made the mistake of relaying a message from the driver that It wouldnt be doing that if it hadnt been adjusted. In a round-a-bout way accusing us of messing with it and thats why its broke. The reality is is that the axles are shot so the wheels are closer together at the top than at the bottom and the armrests are loose. Its just a old chair, no big deal, just fix it or replace it. Very poor customer service.

In my opinion, if you have a walking issue, the only way to attend a trade show in Orlando is with a Scootaround mobility device.
