The staff that works at The Glenn are always so helpful, organized, and they make everyone feel welcomed when they step into the clubhouse. The leasing manager, Layla, is a doll and a lovely person to work with. She made the process of moving in very smooth for me, I really can’t ask a better person for assistance when I need something.
The Glenn charged me heavy fees of $320 for slight modification in lease agreement. This is totally unfair if youre a resident of Glenn. It is very disappointing that we had to pay such huge fees for little modification of lease. I hope Glenn understands residents trouble to pay such huge admin fees.
I am starting my third year here at the Glenn. It is a great community. I have a small dog and the community is very pet friendly. I love my apartment and can’t say enough about the office staff. I met Shannon and Layla when I was looking for an apartment and they were amazing. They helped me find the right place in the best location for me. The entire office staff does a great job. I have spoken with Christa on the phone and she is always friendly and knowledgeable.Maintenance staff does a great job. They are prompt and very respectful. I have never had to call them back on an issue once it was taken care of.I work from home so I am always here. The community is quiet and the neighbors are friendly. I love the pools.Definitely recommend!
The price is great for the location for Orlando Its close to the campus and d within walking distance of a grocery store. They have 2 amazing pools. As well as a huge gym has ton of equipment and even the leg press! I lived here for 1.5 years. I enjoyed being able to run in any time of the day in this neighbourhood. There is also a gorgeous huge Lake in the back of the property. Theres tons of space everywhere. Parking is also free. The office also allows free parent printing. I would highly recommend to friends and family to live here.
I’ve recently moved into The Glenn and have had only a few issues. Emergency work order was handled in a timely manner. I did have an issue with the trash not being picked up and I was in the front office three times to ask about it. I talked to three separate people who all told me a note would be made. By the fourth visit, the fourth person that I talked to (Layla), the problem was handled. Layla took it upon herself to handle my issue in that moment, in heels and all!! Four stars are given for Layla’s excellent service recovery. The apartment is overall very enjoyable. The pools are always clean, and I feel very safe in the area surrounded by other university students.
I was nervous about moving here at first because it is hard to get communication back from the staff, but so far i have been here a week and am very happy to say i have been pleased with the staff and the apartment itself since i’ve moved in. The property owner is great at communicating with me and assisting me with my troubles. The area is great, clean, and close to everything. It is very dog friendly as well. Thank you to the Glenn for making my experience so much better and for all the assistance i have recieved.
I wasn’t sure about living here at first, but I have absolutely fell in love with the community. It’s warm and friendly, it’s quiet and peaceful. The maintenance work in a timely manner, the office staff are great. I’m very lucky to have such a great place at a great price!
Ive gone to The Glenn for different jobs and the office staff is always so nice! Other leasing offices dont have the same energy. Layla is always very thoughtful and accommodating and offers coffee or water
This is an older property but well maintained (even stairways), safe area, clean apartment, plenty of parking, very close to UCF, nice shady old (huge) trees. While it was crazy busy when my daughter moved in Saturday, the staff were gracious, polite and upbeat, and had everything ready to go. First time we used the toilet it overflowed, called (after hours) and they had someone there to fix it before I even noticed. Its a small thing but I love that they have huge on-site garbage bins for moving boxes. I thought about giving it 4 stars because definitely older fixtures, but I am so pleased with our choice it didnt seem fair to subtract for that when we new it was older going in. Obviously UCF students everywhere, if youre looking for student housing.
Convinced these “good reviews” are either from employees who work here or paid for. One of the “5 star” reviews was written by a Zavier Solomon, coincidentally sharing the same name as the property manager. Though he might’ve been a resident before being promoted to property manager, you can see that older responses to negative feedback are told to email zavier@theglennorlando… Maintenance is non existent and apartment conditions are not suitable for moving in, despite waiting weeks after official move in date. Don’t reply with an automated copy and paste answer, just please listen to your residents.
Just moved out of The Glenn to come back to my home town; the complex was very clean and the staff is super nice. Layla was super helpful whenever I needed anything. Great place!
The gym is my favorite part of The Glenn. They have squat racks, cross fit section, and healthier snack machine. Plus they even have an Amazon hub. I pick up all my packages from there, so convenient!
Very nice community, apts are quite old but affordable and nice. There are renovated units but they’re more expensive. Staff is extremely friendly, helpful, and nice especially Layla and Shannon. Zavier goes beyond his work hours to help anyone in the community! We are very pleased.
I absolutely love The Glenn!!! I been here for about 4 years now. The staff is super friendly and they always have a smile on their face. The environment is peaceful and I never had a problem with my apartment. Definitely 10/10 recommended!!!
Layla and Christa were such a tremendous help when I needed it. Super sweet girls and always make sure everything you need is taken care of.
Layla was amazing and deserves a raise!!! Please give her a promotion! She was awesome and helped me so much!
As far as service goes, I don’t have a complaint to make. From the day I moved in, the staff at the glenn has really been there to help me with everything I needed and more. Zay and Layla have been attentive and kind, going out of their way to make sure my party was satisfied. Would 100% recommend to people looking for an affordable place to stay, a great view, great amenities, great location, and excellent service.
Moved in less than a month ago - the apartment was not move-in ready. What I moved into was an apartment with an inefficient air-conditioner that only properly cools one room, a broken microwave that they tried to fix haphazardly before the move in, a shower that did not work, a bathtub that was peeling spray paint, a carpet with a bright new 1X1 carpet patch surrounded by brown carpet, un-calked bathroom floors, and a smoke alarm that needed to be replaced. But thats not the end of it, the office will ignore calls and emails (unless youre about to sign a lease, of course). Also, on the morning of my move in (while they were rushing to finish my apartment), I installed a ring camera outside of my door. When I went to move in later that day, it was gone. It turns out, maintenance took it down right after I put it up because they thought it was property of the old resident(?). When I finally had the camera returned to me, they returned it with some random screws that were not from the original camera. Now, less than a month after I move in, I get a letter in the mail stating that they are going to be completing a week-long renovation in my apartment. This renovation consists of making my bathroom unusable for 3-5 days, shutting my water off for a day, and construction from 8am-6pm for multiple days on end. Do yourself a favor and stay far far away from here!
I have been living here for almost a year and they have been amazing and very accommodating. If you need maintenance they are there within the day. Everyone is super friendly. I am always in the front office to get stuff printed. If you ever need help ask for Layla.
Layla did an amazing job at making me feel comfortable with my new move in. She was very professional and informative. I think she definitely deserves 5 stars.
I came to the pool here as a guest over the weekend, they have the life size chess and connect four and the office lady were very nice
The leasing agents were super helpful!! Layla Was super nice and helped me find what I was looking for
Convenient location, the office staff is always so nice, and they have beautiful pools and sand volleyball court. Definitely recommend!
Layla provided notable customer service during my sisters application process, we are so excited to move her in!
I lived at TGA from March of 2018 to March 2019. During the time that I resided in the complex I have had nothing but lovely experiences particularly with the leasing team. From Lynn to Carmen to Sophia and Shannon, these ladies have offered absolutely STELLAR care and service at every single turn. Any small issue Ive had have been tended to with due diligence and care but this propertys wonderful team! I enjoyed my time at TGA and have been tempted to visit the office since I moved—thats the impact their consistently courteous and accommodating service has made! I cant vouch for the new management because I was moving already when they had taken over, but if they are keeping that fantastic team (and treating them well) they cant go wrong! I had a renovated modest first floor unit on property which was just what I needed while acclimating to Central Florida. Also, the on-site gym is great, it has good training equipment for boxing which can be rare. Overall the community is nice and has a phenomenal team!
Water gets shut off every week if not twice every week and the staff sometimes doesn’t tell you. Nothing like trying to get ready for work but not having water. Front office sucks they won’t reply to emails. Leasing office only cares about you when it’s time to sign the lease so they get their money.
Good service. If you need any help, Layla has amazing customer service. Maintenance is prompt & efficient. Thank you!
The glenn is a great place to live. They are always remodeling and fixing things up. The leasing agents are very polite and sweet. Move in to the Glenn!
Love the management here! Shannon was super nice and helped me move in.
Some folks in the front office have been great; however there is a huge roach problem. You pay for pest control, and theyll come out when you ask, but if the units around you dont care, youll not see any progress. Apartments are basic, and youre paying for location more than anything.
The staff is very friendly and helpful, especially Layla. The renovated units look great and the pool is nice to relax in!
Layla was great at displaying potential apartments I could live in!
Layla has been incredible throughout the process of helping me out find what was the best deal for me. She is a fantastic communication, and truly goes above and beyond for her clients. Among other places I have been, Layla has without a doubt been the most helpful and productive to work with. She represents The Glenn wonderfully. If you are looking for a place here and someone great to assist you with you housing needs or any questions, ask for LAYLA!
Let me stay after hours for schoolwork I needed to get done in the study room. Super friendly leasing manager named Layla.
Super friendly staff, very pet friendly community, there are a lot of social events and food trucks
This place is great they always help you the best way they can.
Im leaving a real review about the things I wish I would have known before I moved in here. There are three over flowing dumpsters that have been attracting vultures for the past few months. If you live in the back buildings, they dont maintain landscaping, youll find cigarettes all over the place, and cops visit frequently. Maintenance is very poor. They dont treat emergencies like emergencies. Water has been cut off from my entire building multiple times over the last 11 months I have lived here. Fire alarms go off randomly. Im not very satisfied with this apartment.
Layla and Christa have made apartment finding a very smooth experience for me, they are very friendly and professional I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Also this complex is very nice!
It’s cool and I enjoy living here.
Terrible maintenance staff absolutely disgusting
I had a great experience living here. The property was clean, never really had any serious maintenance issues, and the staff was always helpful. They were flexible when it came to needing month to month tenancy after the initial lease was up, and overall my experience was really great. I would have renewed without hesitation if I hadnt moved out of state.
Ive been calling for days..... I CANT EVEN GET SOMEONE TO ANSWER MY CALLS! Someone picks up the phone & then hangs up. I have 2 phone #s to the office & they always do that. Is that how they plan on getting potential tenants? I give up! SMH..... RIDICULOUS!
0 stars, management and the office employees are extremely rude/ judgmental at times. do not recommend.
Lived at The Glenn for 3 years now and overall my experience has been good. The office staff is very helpful and they are all very nice. The maintenance has always been prompt and they have taken care of our needs correctly. The amenities are awesome, best gym I have seen at any complex and the pools are amazing. The cost for the apartments is very cheap, if that’s what you are looking for. I do have some complaints though.I am not fortunate to have one of these new renovated apartments and these apartments really do need renovating because the interiors look terrible. The kitchen is very small with no counter space, even if you get a renovation they don’t change it’s size. The bathrooms are super outdated and having carpet all over the apartment and that’s kinda gross, in my opinion. We live on the third floor and we were told if that we could renovate if we wanted to but we couldn’t get rid of the carpet due to “noise.” I am not sure if they have changed that but I think it’s ridiculous considering you’d have to live on the first floor (no privacy) just to get that feature. I would have had to pay the full $200 extra a month, just to have my kitchen and bathroom redone but not the flooring.I think this complex is a good starter for people that are on a budget and are just looking for proximity to school, work, or things to do (good location). If you are looking for a nice kitchens and “hardwood flooring” then this place isn’t it.
Experience has been great 👍🏾
This place is very nice looking and its pretty affordable but thats it. Everything to the eye is appealing but it is just to get you to sign the lease. The people at the front are the same way, nice to you because they want your money. The whole place is remodeled on the outside to give the appearance of a new complex but its old old. Everything was falling apart inside from the moment I moved in. The place is noisy day and night and they are now charging you for water, sewage, pest control, pet rent, washer and dryer rental, etc. Nothing is included so make sure you ask about all the hidden fees.My oven has been broken for a month now and just because its temping out at the right temperature for the bottom burner, everything is cooking wrong. They are telling me that I magically stopped knowing how to cook and that my oven is fine. I am a cook 40+ hours a week at a local restaurant. Im not telling them I need ghost removers or something, I JUST WANT A WORKING OVEN! This place overall is a trap, dont fall for it.P.s. I pay extra for a pool view as well. See picture for pool view.EDIT: Make sure you read when the five star people put in their reviews. Some Im sure are fake but most are five stars BEFORE new management.
I recently moved into the complex and I must say that the Apt was clean and spacious. The Front Office Staff at the complex has been friendly and helpful. The Maintenance Staff especially JOHN has been very helpful in solving some of the apt issues that I had encountered after moving in.
There are steps in and out of each door leading into the apartment, preventing access via wheelchair. The walk-in closet and bathroom doors are too narrow for a chair to go through, and if I wanted a rail installed in the shower, I wouldve had to pay $200+. The kitchen island is right inside the front door, preventing you from using that door to move items like a bed or couch inside, because you have a very limited amount of space you can move forward. We had to move our bed in through the door to the back porch after cutting across the grass. The slopes to the doorways of the lobby are very steep, and on multiple occasions my wheels have popped off of the ground and I nearly tipped over trying to get up them. The door to the gym where packages are delivered only opens 90 degrees, which makes getting in/out in a wheelchair nearly impossible without assistance. The door into the bedroom opened so that it would hit the sliding glass doors leading out to the back porch, so you have to be extra careful opening the door, because it will hit the blinds and break them off.We had a renovated apartment, but it was obvious that they cut corners where they could. The new flooring was stuck down on top of the old flooring with cheap glue. Our dishwasher started leaking and the floor started peeling up as the glue loosened up. Most of the outlets had one plug that worked and one that didnt. Two light switches didnt work, either. The floor in the little cubby that held the washer/dryer was just the foundation, and when spring came fire ants started coming out of the cracks and into the apartment despite how much we were paying for pest control.I got some mail accidentally sent back there after moving out, and when I tried to call to ask them to hold it until it could be picked up, I was hanged up on twice.Overall, extremely overpriced, low quality, and inaccessible. The staff was quite nice, though.
Nice place just moved 2 weeks ago. John is super nice and helped me with everything I needed in my apartment!!! I highly recommend him!
The Glenn has been an excellent apartment complex in the Orlando area, with a good balance between quality and cost. The management has been helpful in every situation. Maintenance is always on top of service request and addresses them quickly. This is really a great place to live!
Moved in 2014. Promised upgrades that never happened. Pay for pest control that never occurs. Its overpriced and not worth it. 6 years and 3 different property management companies. They just keeping selling to not take on the actual money and effort to main the buildings. Cant wait for my lease to be up.
This apartment is excellent! Well priced for the area, almost everyone has a dog. The units are well maintained and even being renovated to be more modern. The grounds are well kept and the two main pools are very nice to relax and grille at. Also Shannon, who pretty much runs the office is your go to admin. She is the kindest person and always helpful! We plan on living here for a long time.
Have a problem? Don’t call the office, they never answer the phone! I had a package delivered that they never marked off in their system so I can’t get it and they won’t answer the phone so I can figure it out. They hung up on me 4 times in a row! Absolutely terrible.
Enjoying my time at the Glen thus far. John has been helpful and attentive when it comes to maintenance related issues, and the office staff has been great as well!
The Glenn has Superior Customer Service! Very Spacious bedrooms and beautiful amenities. I love living here. I have renewed multiple times and am very pleased with my community. Look no further The Glenn is the place to be.
Definitely a great transition from student housing to conventional apartments. The staff here are very attentive and are always putting events together for the residents. Even the maintenance staff are great. Its a home away from home :)
Very impressed with this apartment community. Me and my husband ended up closing on a house instead of renting our apartment however, we would recommend this property to anyone. Had a tour with Ms. Sophia and she made us feel right at home. We will recommend this property to all of our friends, family, and coworkers looking to rent. Great lasting impression!!!!! 5 stars!
Affordable rates, awesome ammenities, quality management service and great apartments! I would highly recommend to anyone, especially UCF students given the proximity to campus. My gf and I have lived here for almost 10 months and would renew our lease in a heartbeat if I wasnt starting optometry school in Massachusetts.Sad to go, happy we stayed.
They closed the pool but Universal can remain open. That makes no sense at all. The management here and maitance could use a lot of training. Nothing gets done in a timely manner. You know a place is bad when the reviews are fake; from family and friend leaving fake good reviews. Check the last name they are them. If you tour this place, make sure you drive to the back building and second pool area and see how bad it looks.
The Glenn is a great community, I love my apartment that right off a beautiful view of the lake and I couldnt be happier, the maintenance team complete work orders pretty quickly which I also love. Great place to live!
The new management is great, the manager is really helpful. The community experience was the best, it’s calm n quiet. The overall community is well maintained. Well maintained Gym and 2 pools are the highlights as well. All in all we definitely recommend the property.
Location, is why I love the Glenn. Apartments are updated and I can get anywhere quick. The office staff has also been amazing!
I’ve lived here for 2 years now and can easily say it’s been nothing but a really good experience. The buildings and rooms are nice, and anytime there is an issue, maintenance is there pretty quickly to fix it or help out. Someone from the maintenance team even helped fix my bike when they saw I was having trouble. I’ve always felt safe here, and neighbors keep to themselves, but are friendly. There’s a blend of students and families who live here so there’s a pretty respectful atmosphere. I totally recommend this place !!
Lived here for a while. The real complaint is the pushing important things away like resident happiness and ability to focus and live. This is a complex that would like more students to live but be warned there is a lot of noise throughout the day and night, and they allow construction/renovations to be performed overnight. This has happened on multiple occasions especially more recently with the new management. I would advise against coming here if you need to sleep or need to be able to focus at any time without the fear of banging or construction or something going wrong with the place (walk into flooded apartment from ac leak or mold issues or you know, the things you wouldnt want to have to deal with paying 1400$ a month. Be warned..
Ive lived here for 2 years, and I plan to renew my lease for a third year. The apartments are nice, and the community is inviting. The three pools, gym, and office are always clean. The maintenance team is always friendly and they get requests taken care of in a timely manner. The office staff always have positive attitudes and are so helpful. My first year I rented a 2/2 with roommates, but when it was time to renew I had to find a one bedroom fast. The apartment manager was helpful with finding me a one bedroom here within the time frame of my move-out date. She helped make the process less stressful. I recommend these apartments to anyone in the UCF area needed quality and affordable living.
Best housing experience I’ve had in Orlando. The complex is well maintained and the staff is great. Extremely safe and clean environment. Shannon at the office is extremely helpful and absolutely lovely. I would recommend the glenn apartment for both families and students. Very quiet and peaceful. The maintenance is ponctuel and very dedicated. Would give a high score if I could :)
I love the glenn but they have given me a lot of trouble. I can tell the staff in the leasing office 5/6 times has been willing to help and put effort into individually helping everyone with a smile on their face and that I appreciate. However I have also had an opposite experience. I drove down to Florida from Maryland, we left at a time where (a 14 hour drive) we would get to the leasing office at 1 pm. (So it would guarantee the office would be open.) Well when we got here there was no one here and the first girl working got to the office an hour late and when she did come she acted like it was no big deal but it put a huge damper on us to have to sit in the u haul and wait an hour after a 14 hour drive. However after another incidence that happened for us with the leasing office the amenities are amazing the gym (while some machines do not work understandably) is awesome there is plenty of equipment and a squat bar but the bathroom usually doesn’t have toilet paper the soap dispenser is broken and there’s no water fountain which really threw me off. But the pools are amazing I appreciate any time I spend in the gym and pool they are quality and I’ve lived in other apartments which couldn’t live up to their standards. I believe anyone on here praising the maintenance is lying, my AC has gone out twice and we have had to wait up to a week for both times to be fixed, I called the leasing office every day about it they kept assuring me it didin’t get done for 5 days which I’m pretty sure is illegal not to hav AC in Florida, and it was 100 degrees at times at night. I’ve always had to wait 4-6 days for maintenance to come for anything so I don’t understand how everyone is saying they are so prompt. While I’m not saying they are bad, they do their job and they’re always so nice but it just doesn’t happen when it should. The actual apartment is in pretty bad condition one window frame is larger than the window so we hear everything on the road and have to use a sheet to cover it, the kitchen counter is falling apart piece by piece because it’s this weird wood piece material and you have to slam (yes with your hand) for the stovetop burners to work. (I have put in a request but they havnt come in two weeks due to Covid and it not being an emergency which is understandable) I’m disappointed and pleased at the same time it is definitely not as bad as other places I have lived that’s for sure but their definitely is some issues.
Absolutely LOVE the new management. My husband and I have been here for a little over a year and just resigned for another year. The landscape work and entire outside area beautification has been amazing, Ive seen such a transformation. Were so happy to call this our little home now, as before it had begun looking a little run down. Staff is very friendly and helpful, apartments inside are nice. Very reasonable rent for the area, 5 stars for sure.
I first came here about 6 or 7 months ago and dealt with the tall black girl i think her name is Sofia. She took extremely good care of me and showed me around, and the complex is beautiful and close to my school. I now have come back with my options narrowed down and i was dealing with a woman named Shannon, This woman is kinda rude, pushy and is not for the needs of the customer. I do not recommend this place if you have to deal with her.
When the apartment floods with sewage water. what do you do? Call a emergency number; the voicemail is full. There is no one to contact right now, while the bathroom is flooded.
Poor experience after two years. They just want you to sign a contract and then they don’t care about your comfort or lack thereof. Apartments might look nice on the outside, but they are extremely old and falling apart wooden buildings. They’ve switched management twice since I’ve been here and the latest team is the worst. Leasing office doesn’t even answer the phone anymore. Read the reviews and decide for yourself.
Lovely staff and personnel. Big property, nice area, and sexy club house. ;-)
When I first moved into my apartment at the Glenn there were dead roaches everywhere! They were all over the kitchen as well as both bathrooms. We had pest control come out but we still had a huge roach problem. Its now been about six months and there are still roach problems. We have contacted the office and nothing is being done to help besides pest control coming out once a week and sometimes they dont come. We also had a hole in our ceiling and they did not come and fix it for a whole two months! I would personally look at a different apartment complex and save your time and money.
Whats with all the bad reviews?
I have been living at the Glenn for the past couple months and I have nothing negative to say. I absolutely love it here. When I first moved in, my apartment was spotless, which I have never seen in my last 5 years of moving into various apartments. The price is affordable which is great for students. Also very close to campus! The brand new gym is the best Ive seen compared to other apartment complexes. The staff is the friendly, caring and willing to help. They also have events every so often at the pool, and there is always a good turn out of a variety of people. Overall I like the diversity of people (and dogs) around the community. Dont listen to all the complainers, give the Glenn a chance because it is really a great place to live.
Lived here for two years. Friendly apt staff. They give free chic fila to tenants every few months and they throw us parties at the nice pool they have. Maintenance requests are completed promptly. About to resign my lease again!
Ive been living here for about 2 years and I have to say this place has been great to me however there were a couple hiccups in the road along the way. One being the constant change in staff and management which caused my rent to increase when I renewed. Other then that they have awesome amenities like the pool and the 24 hr gym and the neighborhood is beautiful. They have good maintenance Ive only had a couple problems in my apartment after 2 years of living here and when I requested a work order they showed up as expected. Great first apartment would recommend checking this place out!
Ive been living at the Glen for about 2 years now and have been extremely happy living here. The apartments are beautiful and best of all the people in the office are extremely helpful! A huge shout out to Lynn LaCombe who has been a beyond amazing help on multiple occasions!
This place is ideal for any young professional or student in the UCF area!! Its so close to everything! The staff is extremely helpful and made moving here so easy! Its quiet. But you meet some pretty interesting people here! I would definitely recommend this place. They are still remodeling in some places, but its for the better. The community looks great!!
The office staff is very helpful whenever I have any issues regarding my apartment, mail, or anything else that might come up. The area feels very safe, so I dont feel that I have to have someone with me when I walk home at night. And Im thrilled about the space I have available in my unit for all of my furniture and instruments. I am currently having some issues with appliances, but nothing catastrophic. Overall, I think this is a great place to live.
Living in the Glenn has to far been a great overall experience! The staff has always been willing to help and do whatever they can to get your request fulfilled. All of our appliances were brand new upon move in and the apartment was cleaned extensively before our move in date. I was impressed with this compared to my old apartment complexes, where I had complaints about state of the new apartment upon move in. I had not heard great things about the Glenn in the past, but since the renovation and change in management, they have seemed to improve greatly and continue to improve. I thoroughly enjoy the new fitness center and pool and their cleanliness. This has been a very peaceful place to live so far and hope it continues!
Great friendly and attentive staff and maintenance staff. Always looks beautiful and clean gym and pool included. Personal trainer posts gym schedule every week if you need extra help. Security posted at night hours for added safety. Overall great apartment complex. Downfalls: needs a ALOT more recycling bins.
I had a great experience living here. Very quiet complex. I only had to move to be closer to work. I have lived in multiple different complexes in the UCF area....this by far is the BEST.
I moved in about a year ago and at first it was great however the complex got taken over by new management and since then things have been horrible. The office staff is rude and cant give any correct information. They have over charged me 3 months because they sent my rent back to my bank and claimed I didnt pay. I was pleased when I first moved in but since the new management I am so glad to be moving out. The only staff member who has been helpful was Nicole.
DO NOT MOVE HERE.Seriously, though. Management is a nightmare, all about money. They towed my car, because I lifted it on ramps for a week. It cost me 400 dollars and their answer was Oh well, not our problemIve also had several attempts at a break-in, even on the third floor. I called the on call courtesy officer once for an emergency and never once got a response or call back. The office almost never answers calls, and definitely never returns any messages left on their machine. At all. Very poor service overall.I renewed my lease once, and I regret it. They raised my rent by a ridiculous percentage and its not even close to worth it for this mess of a complex.Since the new management (The Glenn as opposed to Heather Glen) the complex has only gotten worse. The lights arent lit at night anymore, making it incredibly unsafe to even walk your dog. Got rid of the laundromat which was one of their only selling points for me, and now require all residents to pay for washers and dryers in the apartments.
I have been living in a first floor 1 bedroom since Aug 2017. Why I Like It: very close to UCF, close to stores but also still tucked away, no pests in my apartments, pretty quiet, have your own washer and dryer, plenty of parking, its quiet and pretty.Downside: a lot of stuff in the apartment breaks. Maintenance sometimes takes a very long time.
If I could give them zero stars I would. This apartment complex has changed management 3 times in the 4 years I have been living here. This new management is complete garbage. I have left 5 messages for pest control and no return calls. The last person I spoke with advised that I should just go into the office. Complete joke. Save your money and do not rent from this place. Waiting for my lease to end so I can move.
Management recently changed and they revamped the rent/utilities payment process. They said they put notices on residents doors (dont know my daughter didnt see one) but as someone who is on the lease and not living there, they shouldve mailed notices out. New payment process doesnt work on the web, you have to download an app and then cant pay the trash/pest/etc via that process which drives you to get a money order and drop at the office...what an unprofessional way to conduct business
Ive lived here a little over two years now in two different apartments. The first apartment was in the area closest to the leasing office. My experience there was amazing. That side has been gorgeous since I moved in. The pool and lawn on that side are always well kept, as its probably shown more to potential tenants. When we first moved to a smaller apartment on the other side of the complex it was honestly atrocious. Theyve since changed owners and are now finally making improvements over here. It wasnt until our lease in the apartment was almost up that we began to see some changes over here - like adding mulch to the barren areas of the grass and the complex wide replacement of the parking lot. Our pool on this side is dull in comparison to the one near the leasing office, which is probably why its always empty. Parking is hard to come by if you come home when the sun has gone down. Maintenance is okay, but Ive often had to call in the same issue on multiple occasions to only have temporary fixes. The staff is nice, for the most part if you dont have any issues to approach them with. They throw really nice pool parties for different occasions which Ive always found to be really sweet and inviting. Despite the fact that Ive only gone to a couple of those parties, they are part of the reason Ive stayed her because I dont feel like Id find that sort of thing in any other apartment complex. Rent has gone up and its difficult to justify for the size and quality of the apartments, at least mine that seems to be quite old on the inside. It would be nice if they decided to get rid of the carpets. I think that might highly improve the feel of the apartments. What you see on the outside isnt really what you get on the inside. All in all, this is a great place to live if its your first place away from your parents house. Feels like home.
Great community and office, fantastic service & great apts!! Maintenance team is particularly helpful and attentive. I want to especially acknowledge Kelvin from the maintenance team for being extremely helpful to us recently. Everyone working here is pleasant and attentive to tenants.
They matrix residential managing company did a great job remodeling the property. The staff is quick to respond to all concerns when I call. Overall good experience I love the amenities and my view of the fountain in the lake
I do not recommend this place. After new management company came in about 11 months ago they dont care about your needs just your money. They are way over priced for what they give you. When you express a concern to management they say they will take care of it but it NEVER happens. Safe your money and rent somewhere else.
Ever since construction ended we can truly give this apt complex 5 stars. The people in the front office are always nice and super attentive, especially Nicole. We also really appreciate that there is a Glenn tent at the UCF tailgates that give out free food and drinks to residents.
I love the Glenn! The apartments are spacious and the renovations throughout the complex are really nice. The rent is reasonable, BUT nothing is included, no internet access, no cable and thats why it gets expensive here. Your water and sewage is included, but any overages are split among the tenants of your building. I personally have not had any issues with maintenance. My experience with the office staff has been good thus far, except for a select 2 that never follow up. This is my first apartment away from student housing, and its been a nice change. Its a pet friendly complex as well. If they offered at least a basic cable package and internet access included with the lease, I would give it 5 stars. By the time you pay rent, cable and electric, your monthly rent with utilities is about $1200, for a one bedroom. The option to pay on line, would also be nice.
I have lived here for 6+ Years. I have made the rounds to other non-student housing apartments in the area, and The Glenn is, by far, the nicest. I have always had quick maintenance and everyone in the office has been nothing but courteous to me. I have never had a complaint. Also, plenty of parking.
I have been here for 2 and a half months no problems with the complex at all, the leasing staff was very accommodating and helpful when i moved in allowing me to move in days earlier than i was supposed to, there have been some minor issues with the apartment and maintenance response is usually quick, Tony was the first one to come and introduce himself and came out and fixed the first couple of things, the last few times i have needed something done Kelvin has come, he has friendly, proffesional, and very efficient.
I dont need a generic response the Glen is a large corporate housing scam, they will overcharge, ignore, and raise rents every chance they get.
Only reason it is getting one star is because I cant give it zero. First off, the management lies through their teeth about every damn thing; New renovations, new appliances, etc. Not only was my apartment falling apart, the appliances are so old they hardly work. Management also surprised us with construction, every day from 7 am until 5 pm; and no, they did not tell us when we signed our lease. The construction was done so poorly my apartment building caught on fire; yes, up in flames. They are currently redoing that building by covering up the damage with new plywood. Maintenance take DAYS to get anything done. I had a serious leak under my kitchen sink and after 3 requests submitted online, three trips to the main office and one emergency maintenance call, the sink finally was looked at after two weeks; and they didnt even fix it. The plumping is terrible; every shower I have used clogs up immediately. Yes, I have long hair but after two showers there is no possible way to my hair to clog the drain so bad I start taking a bath within 5 minutes. Overall, its a terrible place. My boyfriend and I started looking for new apartments three months into our lease. DONT. LIVE. HERE.
This place is okay but I need to move because they do lawn care EVERY DAY. Every morning Monday-Friday from 8 AM to noon there are mowers and leaf blowers and weed wackers that are incredibly loud and annoying and I can’t stand waking up to this noise anymore. Is it really nessecary to do it every day? And sometimes the workers walk through the buildings and it sounds like they’re RIGHT next to you with a lawn mower. As a student I have a lot of late nights and do not appreciate being woken up like this every day. Also my place is designed very poorly, they only have one model so good luck knowing what your apartment is actually going to look like before you move in.Lastly my appliances are always broken. I’ve had so many maintenance requests put in. And they tell me someone will be by so I wait ALL DAY and all day the next day and the next day. For the last 3 requests I’ve come home from work with a piece of paper from maintenance on my counter and all it says (for example) “dishwasher checked- okay” so then I have to call back and tell them that nothing has been done and it’s still broken!! This has happened 3 times!!! Also my stove/oven went out and they told me they had other more important maintenance requests to handle and someone would be out in a few days. Not okay.If you want peace and quiet stay away.
Im not sure why everyone is so negative. I like living here, the staff is helpful, it is close to school and they rent is reasonable. I have not ran into an issue that hasnt been resolved and there arent many to begin with. This is my second year living here and I am happy so far.
