He worked hard for hours to get me into a car I was comfortable and happy with, without rushing pushing or bullying me into anything. Frankie was super helpful in giving me a special deal to make a not so perfect car into the absolutely perfect car for me. Jose was very professional while helping me with the agreeing with and signing of the contract. Universal Hyundai…. My daughters car. We have been dealing with this since June 2, 2021. There is a Class Action Lawsuit that requires 3-4 work orders, she has 2. (Today 3) after the car lost complete power almost causing an accident AGAIN.Today, Jeffery Nelson and I picked up her car, we were told that she needs to drive it 1000 miles and then bring it back so they can check the oil.She was told exactly the same thing one week ago when she picked up her car, less then 20 miles later, her car lost all power in the fast lane on I4 in rush hour traffic. I’m beyond furious that they are telling her to drive this car and intentionally putting her in danger. We were told nothing is wrong with the car.** Today we picked up the car, 13 miles later it lost all power AGAIN, as a semi almost plowed into the car within inches, another car swerved and almost hit a car in the left lane. Jeff (my husband) was driving (my daughter is afraid to drive the car) and I was a few cars behind.A 3-4 car accident on a busy road could have easily happen as the car just lost complete power while driving at the speed limit on 192 heading west.Hyundai is again having it towed for the same reason. My Husband and Daughter were put in extreme danger driving this car along with every driver around them and Universal Hyundai told us nothing was wrong with the car. This is the 3RD TIME we were sent away and told to bring the car back in 1000 miles to check the oil.Two times it almost caused a major accident on I4 and 192 West and they have nothing to say. The problem with this car Is all over the Internet, they knowingly put my daughter and husband in extreme danger.Below is EXACTLY what happen TWICE, after we were told it was safe to drive. The car is under warranty and there is a recall for this and they still do NOTHING!! They kept the car for over 3 weeks the first time and 2 weeks the 2nd time. The warranty ends in approximately 6000 miles.Contact person is GILBERT GREGORY with Universal Hyundai.Don’t ever buy a car from them EVER. Is this because she is a female ? Or shall I pull the race card, a female and half African American…. They act like this is the first they heard of it, there is a recall for this and it’s ALL OVER the Internet, thousands of people are having the EXACT same problem.What is the reason any human being would knowingly and intentionally give us a car that is extremely dangerous to drive, someone could have died and NO response (Zero) NO solution to the problem. Zero compassion, no responsibility taken, no apology.Gilbert Gregory could careless that my family was intentionally put in danger.

I walked in looking for a car and when I got to the dealership I was immediately greeted by the front desk and asked me how they can help, I said I was here to buy a new car and trade in my old one, so she directed me to the lobby and I waited less than 5 minutes before my salesperson Andrew Terry had greeted me and said that he was going to be my car salesman today!! He had great customer service, knew the answer to all my questions and even showed me cars that were in my price ranges that I had liked! He showed me around the lot and took me to the back lot where other cars were being held as well and I was able to find the the perfect car for me that was still in my budget, a 2020 Hyundai Veloster, it was the perfect car for what I was looking for, good gas mileage with a little bit of that sporty look in it! So after we test drove the car we went back inside and started to talk numbers and since I know my credit wasn’t the best he had offered to suggest that I have my brother co-sign it with me to help lower my interest rate and payment because by myself it would’ve been too expensive and I couldn’t have afforded the car but in the end we were able to get a good deal out of my old car which I never would have thought I could get as much as I did for it!! Do I just want to thank the people at universal Hyundai dealership for helping me find an affordable car that I will love for the next couple years!! My salesman Andrew Terry was great and I do believe that he strives to make his customers happy when they come in looking for a car because he knows the whole lot so he can always find that special car you are looking for!!

Im a first time buyer and was a little stressed about the process because I know how salesmen can be and didnt want to deal with feeling pressured or cornered into something. Let me tell you... the entire process was a dream at Universal Hyundai! I feel like I hit the jackpot of sales consultants with Chris J! He was courteous, personable, fun... I felt like I was buying a car from a friend! They didnt have the car I wanted in their inventory and we briefly discussed going to another dealership, but decided against it because we didnt want to buy from anyone but him! Chris and Hyundai hooked us up with a dealership swap and I drove away the next day in my new 2022 Tucson!! Robert was also fantastic and explained everything in regards to the paperwork and financing patiently and clearly- which I appreciated greatly as a first time buyer! Have you ever walked into a car dealer with the simple intention of looking. I did and did just that. Got the answer I wanted was getting a feeling like I was wasting my time being there. Left like I had told myself and went to the dealer next door to see if there was anything better than what I had seen but there wasn’t. But my gut said talk to Pablo again. Pablo was great and made sure I was happy with what we were looking at and made us feel welcomed. In under 2 hours on a Wednesday at 8pm I walked out with a great car. Will ship with them again and trust my gut again that these guys are the best.

I had an excellent Car buying experience with this dealership. My purchase of a previously owned - dare I say used - 2018 Genesis G80 was particularly made special by the sales person that facilitated my purchase, William King. Billy, as he likes to be called, was exceptional from the start of the transaction. There was no pushy sales spiel from this salesman. He just kept assuring me that he was here to serve and ensure my transaction went smooth. That was an understatement. From the start he was professional, knowledgeable about his product, and incredibly accommodating. In fact, his performance in my transaction was, in my opinion deserving of the salesman of the year award; if there is such a thing at Universal. My transaction involved a Trade in of my chronically stalling BMW that has left me stalled on the side of the highway more times than I can remember. One of my concerns was getting the car from my home in Riverview Florida - a 90min drive- to the dealership so that we can close the deal. Like most men I wanted my new toy/car that day! Well, let me tell you, Mr William King went above and beyond my expectations and not only delivered my car personally to my driveway but also took the risk of driving my trade in back to the dealership !!! Now that’s what I call Premium Customer Service. I’m not sure if Universal Genesis knows it, but they have a star sales performer in their ranks, and his name is Billy King.

Id been taking my vehicles to Universal Hyundai since 2020. At first, Service was pretty good; about what I expected. But then I had an instance where I just couldnt get any communication with my Service Advisor over something simple. Sadly, the same thing just happened again this last week. I took in my car for Brake Diagnostics and hopefully Brake replacement. I dropped off my car on a Wednesday around noon, received 1 call about 1 hr later in order to clarify my service request as well as to re-iterate that I need estimates before starting the work. 1 day passes, 2 days pass with NO communication. On the 3rd day, I reach out to Service and am kept on hold for quite a long time. Call actually ends up disconnecting. I call back and finally reach someone who was extremely rude when I explained reason for my call. She placed me on hold and came back to tell me that my Service Advisor would call me after a phone call he was currently on. Saturday and Sunday passed without EVER hearing from anyone!!! Monday afternoon, I had no choice but to go back to the dealer as I wanted communication of some sort regarding my vehicle. I asked for a Manager to which I was told that person was not available. Therefore, I requested to pick up my vehicle. After putting me in touch with what Im assuming was another member of management, she tried to reach out to the Service Advisor, and come to find out, he was not on the premises due to a family emergency. While I was on the premises, Service Advisor did in fact call me but only because of the situation at hand. Had I not shown up in person, I STILL would not have received ANY type of communication after 6 days for what should have been a simple brake job. Totally UNACCEPTABLE Customer Service. I requested my car back. Its hard to blame the organization as a Whole because obviously, the issue really is with the Service Advisor and lack of follow-thru; lack of communication. A simple call providing me with an update would have changed my perspective on this issue. However, that Service Advisor represents the Dealership and now I have NO confidence whatsoever in taking my car there ever again. I will drive the extra miles and try a different Hyundai Service Department and hopefully will receive better attention there.

Universal Hyundai does not care about you.It began Friday July 9. I came to the Hyundai service dept because I experienced a flat. The nature of the flat would be covered by the manufacturers warrentee. Andres G was assigned as my advisor. He did not disagree that this was a defect. He did, however, come up with many excuses to otherwise not cover the tire. Thats fine. Companies give you the run around all the time. But he called me dishonest. To My Face! That is a huge problem. The worst part is he, Andres G, was perfectly comfortable telling me that I being dishonest. I guess this what the employees of Universal Hyundai resort to when they dont want to help you out. I certainly dont understand it.I will not write a bad review unless I cannot solve the problem with the business. I wrote a letter to UH on July 16. After nearly two weeks, there is no response. So they are either backed up on complaints or they just dont care.

Buyer Beware!!!!!! Was “sold” a car that they never had. I put down a deposit and was told we would get a call the next day when it was ready to be picked up. We never received a call. When we called them we were then told that car wasn’t available and that no dealership in Florida had it but they offered me a lower model. I explained that we didn’t want that but wanted our deposit back. We were told that they were refunding the deposit that day. We then went to a different dealer and bought the exact car we wanted( the only that wasn’t available any where in Florida) I have called many times in the past two weeks asking for a manager because we still have not gotten our deposit back. I either get voice mail or told that the manager is busy and will call back. They are Liars and have 0 customer service. I will be disputing the charge with my bank.
About a month ago i was in need of a vehicle because my car was giving me problems. I was thinking about doing a trade in so i went into universal Hyundai and was helped by Kesia. She was very nice and helped me out in a better way than i could imagine. We had some trouble at first but we were able to get things figured out a week later and i still have my car and i love it every day. I ended up getting a 2022 Hyundai Elantra. There wasn’t many options but I’m glad this one was a great fit for me. The car runs great and i love the features it comes with inside. 10/10 would recommend

I was very hesitant about going to any car dealership after my last terrible experience a couple of years ago somewhere else. Julian Vila was my salesman and he was extremely patient with us. He was also very open with the numbers while looking at cars, so I knew what the monthly payments looked like. That was nice!! I never want to get my hopes up and then realize I can’t afford the payment. I went to this location because I wanted to take a look at both Nissan and Hyundai. It was a great experience not having to go to different dealerships, and we just walked across the parking lot to the other side. Julian stayed with us the whole time. I ultimately got a 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe. It was a very LONG process, but very smooth and enjoyable! We were able to even able to go to lunch crunch numbers over at Longhorn next door! Very poor customer service, their mechanics do not know what they are doing, I highly recommend not getting a vehicle from this place I have been dealing with steering issues since December of last year have brought my vehicle in 4times all the way up until it was 2months past warranty and they still have not resolved the issue and now want me to pay for the repairs that they never actually fixed right from the first time, every time I got my vehicle back it was fixed temporarily only for the exact issue to return within a couple weeks
