Fantastic place! I really enjoyed the whole experience of getting my hair cut here. Nick was very helpful in helping explain what hair styles would best suit my hair, and he did a great job executing the one I chose. I had pretty long hair, and so there was a lot to cut off which caused my appointment to run a little long (fine with me, it was my day off) but Nick didnt rush through my haircut nevertheless. I recommend you try it out, its worth the experience. Thanks!

This is my go to spot. Every chair can do a good job cutting your hair/ beard ect. Im very comfortable here being over 40. Other places I gone I feel out of place. Like Im at a sleep over.Mature professions @ state street barbers and theyve all been there since they opened. No revolving door, obviously a good environment.

Great barbershop. Been going for a while and have had my haircut by 3 of the 4 barbers there. All do an awesome job. Reservations are easy to operate and I usually can find an open time when I need it. Prices are reasonable as well. Great conversation, great barbers, and great prices.

They don’t follow what you tell them to do. I showed them a picture of what I wanted at the start of the haircut and explained in detail how i wanted it to be cut. They had me turned away from the mirror the whole entire haircut so I couldn’t see what they were doing and they never asked any questions during the haircut to make sure they were doing it right. At the end when they finally turned me to the mirror to show me the haircut I realized how bad they messed it up and how it was way too late to try and fix it because they cut off everything that could have saved it. The sides are not symmetrical with each other and he did not follow what I told him at all. He made my part line an inch higher than it was before and he cut off way more than I told him to at the start. I only wanted a trim and to have him follow what the previous person had done but instead he gave me a completely different haircut. I’m very frustrated because I paid $40 for a bad haircut that i’m now stuck with until it eventually grows out.

I had a dear friend who really wanted to try cutting hair. I thought why not. I let her give it a go. It was all going great until we got to the back of my head. This is when disaster struck. I said, follow the hair line and clean it up. Bad idea. Her version of where the hair line was was much different from mine. See picture for visual. I ended up looking around for a barber and found these guys. Nate was awesome! He took my distaste and made it a masterpiece. I was very pleased with the outcome and world recommend anyone to this shop

Cannot recommend highly enough. Nick had my cut memorized after the first visit. Now, I simply make my appointment, show up, sit down, and say the best two words in the consumer industry -“The usual” - they are friendly, do a great job, and the store is conveniently located. 10/10 recommend.

My husband has been here several times. The first time the owner did a nice job, every time after that, I believe Nick intentionally did the opposite of what we asked him to do! My husband walked away with a mohawk this last time, and I do mean last!!! . Its hidious! The guy refuses to listen. Wont be back!!!

I love the atmosphere at State Street Barbers. Its very laid back and theres always great conversation. The quality that Jerrick has been able to get me for my haircuts is unmatched and Ive tried a LOT of places in the last 10 years (and Im very particular about my hair) but these guys get it done right. I had several people recommend Nick (the owner). I was in desperate need of a haircut and beard trim (covid time) and had an amazing experience at State Street Barber. I was very impressed with how clean and organized the shop was. It was a great environment and very welcoming. The other barbers were respectful and kind. I liked how Nick took his time, wasn’t rushed, and focused on my hair and beard needs. He got to know me, but didn’t talk my ear off, which I can’t stand lol. I have been looking for barbershop in the Orem area that seems to just be comfortable and provide a good beard cut/trim/shave for awhile now. There are a few decent other places around but they just dont compare to how relaxed and reasonably priced this place is. They are great group of guys that like to joke around and just seem to really enjoy what they do. Yes, it is appointment only, but I actually really like that, because you dont spend a lot of time waiting. Also, their online appointment booking app is dead simple to use and definitely the way to go. I will be frequenting State Street Barbers a lot more moving forward in order to tame my out of control beard.

Nick did a great job. He didn’t cut corners and he did exactly what I asked him to do. You get the full treatment with great service for a good price. You can go spend $20 somewhere else and get a decent hair cut or spend $5 more and get exactly what you want in a great haircut. I recommend State Street Barber for sure.

Nick is the man. Its quick and really high quality. The music choices are always good and the atmosphere is old school. This is not a hipster barbershop, which is very rare, especially around these parts. Its always a great cut, Nick, Ill be a regular for years to come.

I called in and got a walk in appointment same day. they had me in and out in 25 minutes. Very friendly and accommodating with competitive prices. 25 bucks plus a tip for a cut. I have a very specific haircut and they did a great job. recommend to anyone who needs a quick clean barber style cut and doesnt wanna wait weeks to get in for an appointment like many other barbers around Utah County.

AMAZING BARBER SHOP!! I’ve been going to only barber shops for about 3 years and have tried many in the Utah Valley and this is my favorite. Nick cuts my hair and always give me a great fade, takes his time, and finishes with a razor neck shave. I always make sure to tip the guy because I’m never disappointed. Give this place a try and you’ll be hooked. They know how to do it all too. About ready to head back in.

I’ve tried many barbers and they either don’t listen to what I want, or they just can’t blend well (I have fine hair so I think it’s harder to blend). Nick gave me a cut today and did exactly what I asked for AND at a fair price. I was pleasantly surprised. Awesome barber shop!

Ok. This is a review that you need to read. I don’t leave reviews. Period. Peg is my go to person. I don’t see myself going anywhere else for life. The only downside to working with her is that you find yourself wanting to come back sooner than you need to. She is hilarious and we love to catch up each time I come. She is also the best person I’ve met in terms of cutting hair. She has very steady hands and does exactly what I ask. Each time I come in I make a slight change to what I want and she exceeds expectations each time. Peggy is where it’s at!

Nick did a Mr. T haircut for me and killed it! Jerrik has faded me a couple times and does a great job every time! If you need a good barber check these guys out, they do great work, are personable and its easy to schedule an appointment with their online scheduling system.

Hands down the best Barbers in Northern Utah! These guys have perfected there craft, and you will walk out feeling like a million bucks. I’ve had my hair cut by three of the barbers here; Nick, Jerrick, Jaime. They’ve all given me perfect fades for reasonable prices.This time Nick cut my hair, and it was my first time at his new location. The inside is a clean, classic barbershop with the black and white-tiled floor and old barbershop chairs. Nick nailed it, and I was in and out with a perfect fade for $25.I’ll definitely be going back, and I would personally say this is one of the only really good haircuts you can get in Utah Valley for a reasonable price.

A great place to get a mans haircut. These are serious barbers who know their craft and can make you look like a million bucks, all within the environment of a traditional barbershop. I have had my haircut by all of them and there isnt a slouch in the group. Do yourself a favor and try them out.

It is very disappointing when you go to get a hair cut and the “millennial” men, only take appointments. Especially when someone comes in, that is of the golden years, and it would take literally 15 minutes to cut an older gentleman’s hair. While they sit playing on their phones., waiting for a client. Not only that’s, they are to busy on their phones to sweep up the hair off the floor. How unsanitary, lazy and disgusting. I am going to spread he word!!! Don’t go there. The only decent person there is the only female working there, who probably does all the cleaning. Sad sad sad.... come on ‘boys’, do you want a participation trophy for making an effort at customer service, and cleaning?

Just took my son here for the 2nd time. The 1st time I was annoyed because the owner didnt thin out his hair or bother to trim the top. Today, we went to another guy that works there. I picked him because when we were there the first time, he took his time with the guy he was working on and sent him off looking good; however, with my son... he f*d up his hair. He didnt dry it, thin it, or do what was asked (we showed him a pic). So why is this place charging almost as much as a salon for just a squirt and buzz. Easter is next week and there is nothing we can do for his hair. Im livid
