Hilltop Auto is the place that you must go to if your vehicle needs repairs. They are honest and do great work. I glad that I dont need to shop around anymore for a great mechanic.

I had a great experience with these guys. Note that Google has them listed as auto parts, but they do repairs too.Yesterday, there was a loud whining noise coming from an air vent in my dash. Before visiting Hilltop, I had taken my car to a Jeep dealer, and they tried to push buying an extended warranty before even listening to the noise. So I left them and came across Hilltop. Hilltop quickly determined the problem and fixed it at a very reasonable price. Fantastic service.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. I scheduled an oil change and was in and out in less than an hour. Chris and Michael are always friendly and willing to help. Chris is fair in what he charges and is an honest mechanic. Highly recommend!

Chris and Michael are awesome. When we didn’t have a way to get the part we needed, Chris offered to drive us there himself. They were more than fair with pricing and worked very hard to solve the issues we were having with our car’s AC compressor. Great people and honest!

Had a stuck gas door and was quoted by toyota, a 3 hour wait and an hour at least of labor. Hilltop hooked us up and fixed the problem in less then 5 minutes.

Chris and Michael are the best! Chris is the best mechanic I have ever had. Michael is very good at getting back to me and giving me exact details. They care about their customers and do an amazing job. They don’t charge an arm and a leg, but just are honest and I have never had any problems with them and don’t think I ever will. Come here if you want your car to be taken car of.

In the past Chris was an honest mechanic. My daughter took her car in and she was told that the cylinders needed tuning and it would be $350. When I went to help her pick up the car it turns out all they did was a standard tune up with new spark plugs. I go to Hilltop Auto because he typically will tell you whats wrong so you can decide whether you want to pay it but they purposely misled my daughter into thinking it was something major they had to do. So with tax you paid $375 for a $50 AutoZone tune-up kit. Im done with that auto mechanic, anyone have a new recommendation?

Great guy, the owner helped us out on the last Friday before Christmas and made sure we were okay. Even offered to buy presents for our kids for Christmas if we werent able to get it for them. He was awesome! Couldnt ask for better help in a rough time!

They are so great! Good solid mechanic. Very helpful and reasonably priced. They helped me fixing some things in my car a couple times for completely free! SO nice of them. They can be busy but they work fast, and they are honest and wont make you fix things you dont really need. I am always so worried about my car and I pay attention to details, but they always would tell me what things not to worry about and such.

VERY often watch a Flatbed tow truck driver exceed the posted speed limit and the flow of traffic. Cutting in and out of traffic. Has run several red lights. License Plate Hilltop. This driver has zero respect for the law and safety of the other people on the road!

CHRIS IS AN HONEST MECHANIC!!! That should say it all. I have no personal connection to him and feel extremely lucky to have even found Hilltop Auto. They have saved me thousands of dollars by being honest with me about car problems. Do not have your car fixed by anyone unless Chris has looked at it first! I have had two separate occasions where other mechanics have told me something was wrong with my car and it would cost thousands of dollars to fix. On one occasion, he found the real problem and it only cost a couple hundred dollars to fix instead of a rebuilt engine for $5,000. On another occasion, I had a few issues that would cost $1,000 to fix by one mechanic. I had Chris check it out and he said one thing was not even an issue and the other thing would cost $400 less than what the other mechanic would fix it for. The diagnostic fee from the other mechanic was more than what Chris fixed the problem for. He didnt even charge me to look at my car. I live kind of far away but it is well worth the drive to know that Hilltop Auto is honest!!!

Hilltop auto is the best. I went by their store because I had a crazy noise while driving. We thought it was a CV joint or an axle. They quoted us a pretty cheap price (around $175), looked at the car, said there wasn’t a problem with those parts and my lug nuts were loose on the driver side. Turns out, Big-O tire, who had replaced the tires 1 month ago, hadn’t tightened those up. Hilltop did it free of charge.These are good people. Couldn’t recommend them more.

They did a fantastic job. I just needed to trade in my totaled car, and they gave me a fair price, listened to my requests, and treated me with absolute respect. Hopefully I wont have to scrap another beloved car, but if I do, I can trust them.

BEYOND GREAT! If I could rate them ten stars I would. Chris is not only affordable, hes fast, hes good, and best of all, hes shockingly honest. Half the time he wont even let me pay for the work. Its so nice to have finally found a decent mechanic. If youre in Orem or Provo and need a mechanic, Chris is the guy.

I first went to these guys when a different place quoted me about $1000 to get my car to pass safety and emissions. I was recommended hilltop by my brother and the cost was less than half of that, as they worked with me until I found a discontinued part for my old jeep suspension saving me hundreds of dollars. Since then Ive been coming here for years now, and the service has been nothing but great! If you want a local mechanic who will shoot you straight and isnt trying to run a business off of dishonest upselling, these are your guys.

Ive known Chris my whole life. You wont find a better mechanic on the planet . Chris is honest and straightforward . And Michael at the counter is always friendly and helpful.

We ordered a part from Hilltop at the request of an insurance company and couldnt be more disappointed. The parts was not in a usable condition and we also were not provided with an invoice. After weeks of calling Hilltop for and invoice we finally returned the part on our own. When we attempted to return the part Hilltop would only take credit on the returned part and refused to refund us the cost of the part. We process thousands and thousands of parts a year and have yet to run into a company with such low standards. DISAPPOINTED!

Very unhappy with my experience here. I took my Jeep to them in January with an acceleration problem and they did a diagnostic and ordered a part to fix it. We called back a week later and they told me that they had the part but could not fix my car due to the head mechanic breaking his leg (which is understandable and we decided to wait the 3-4 weeks they told us it would take for him to recover). The reason I am unhappy is because of how RUDE the lady who I called every time to check in was being. She told me that we would have to wait weeks and weeks and when we asked if there was a another mechanic she said she would find someone and call us back. When she never did we called again to ask and SHE LIED TO ME telling me that my husband had gone into the store and told her we didnt want to use another mechanic, which was far from true. Every time I called trying to check in and see if we could take my jeep to get fixed she seemed frustrated and rude and didnt want anything to do with me, when I was simply wanted to use the service they were providing!! I guess people dont want to be paid.We gave them multiple chances and waited for months because we had heard they were a great mechanic shop but we have decided to take our business elsewhere because she made it seem as if they do not like treating their customers with respect and would rather not do the service they are providing.

The only place I trust in Orem. They are very nice people who know what they are doing.
