I had my Honda b18b1 bored and assembled by them and after I got the engine in it had a piston ring issue with the rings they got and sized. So I tried to contact them about warranty work and every time I called I got told they’d have the owner contact me but never heard anything back.

They built a 351w for me. And I have to say there attention to detail putting it together was amazing. After they were done I used a bore scope to look down the intake ports. And when I looked at where the intake and head meets it was perfectly done. No gasket material in the port. It was a very clean transition. Thats just one spot I looked at. This motor is now making close to 600hp at the tire with a turbo on it. And Im not worried one bit.

Had a long bolt snap off deep in an old motorcycle cylinder. I initially called two different shops and received roughly the same answer, bring it in and well take a look, but something about the person I talked to at Jonhsons, I believe her name was Stacey, instilled me with confidence. My initial gut feeling paid off because the fine folks at Johnsons had the problem fixed and ready to go one day later for an incredibly fair price! Thanks! Im a loyal customer and will definitely be using them for any future machining needs.

Randy has been doing all the machine work for all the fun toys I have had and built over the years. Superb work and even better customer service, I am a lifetime customer. Randys work has been solid for me for 12+ years. I always send my friends to him without hesitation.

I dropped off my 4g63t bareblock here & I elected to pay for the shortblock assembly. Randy definitely went out of his way for me & since this was my first time rebuilding a motor, he took the time to answer all my my questions about what was needed. Ive always heard of Johnsons reputation & Ill continue to refer my friends here because of how plesent the experience was for me. I got my motor running 3 1/2 weeks after throwing a rod. Thanks Randy! Will be coming back for this head sometime in the future.

I was staying at American Heritage Campground, a few blocks from the shop, and ran into a rather ridiculous problem... I had an improperly installed bike hitch on my 2 receptor with a stripped, trapped steel bolt that was stuck inside the shaft of the bike carrier. I basically needed the bolt bored out or cut off, so I could get my hitch back and tow my camper again!I looked up machine shops and found this place around the corner. The gal on the phone was super-nice and had me speak to Randy, who said to come on in. The next day I dropped by so they could take a look. I overheard the office gal speaking to a customer on the phone, and Randy talking with a guy in their office, and they both sounded extremely knowledgeable and friendly. After a 10-minute wait, Randy checked out my problem and had me pull my truck in back.He busted out the handy-dandy Sawzall and cut that sumbitch off super-quick. He then took the cut piece into the shop to trim the bolt a second time so I could use the bike rack again. I was outta there in 30 minutes total.Wanna know the cost? NOTHING! Randy didnt charge me a dime (despite the pricing board inside stating a minimum $25 for shop time, which Id already offered to pay). Awesome guy.I was shocked to see the other review here about rude treatment and overcharging. Hey, man, everyone has their bad days. You said youd had a grip of positive experiences but then, one bad one and you run to Yelp to post a negative review? Not fair.Randy is a gentleman and a scholar and did me a solid, ABSOLUTELY FREE. I would totally trust this business for any future dealings.
