Four Star Fitness is becoming a home away from home. I enjoy the relaxed atmosphere where I can be myself without feeling the eyes of judgement on me. The staff is more then willing to help in anyway and it is packed with kind, professional and knowledgeable personal trainers willing to answer any questions you have at no cost. The supplements shop is conveniently attached to the center and is staffed by well educated employees who have given very sound advise on my personal nutritional goals. During my time spent there I began to notice a tightly knit community or Family if you will of highly dedicated health enthusiasts. I am in the best shape of my life because of how comfortable I feel spending time in this center. If youre looking for a small gym and youre ready to commit for life, then maybe four star is for you. Unfortunately, my husband and I joined a larger gym that is closer to us and has more amenities (for less money), but four star just wont let us quit. Weve been trying to quit for 6 months now, and Im frankly not sure what to do at this point. Weve talked to staff in person - who told us an oral cancellation was valid and that it was done, weve called, weve sent letters (were trying that one again, wish us luck 🙄) and we keep getting charged. At this point weve paid over $300 for a gym we havent used since May and they told my husband to his face that were still going to get charged again. Our previous cancellation letters have been lost in the mail and I frankly have no faith that four star will have the integrity to actually process the next one. Save yourself some money and frustration and join somewhere else.

Best gym around, hands down. From the equipment to the ownership, Four Star is top notch. The staff is always friendly and helpful; it’s obvious they love their jobs and are invested in each guests’ experience. Also, personal training at Four Star is very affordable. Gym members have access to some of the very best trainers in Oklahoma and won’t pay inflated prices like at some larger, corporate gyms. I am so thankful for Four Star and the positive and encouraging environment the staff, trainers, and members have created!

Excellent environment. Staff are very friendly. The environment is kept very clean. Other patrons are welcoming and nice. You can tell that the owner maintains the equipment very well and that he is interested in providing quality machines to enhance your fitness level. He reinvests in his business constantly. I’ve been coming here for years and would recommend it to someone of any fitness level.

I was a member here for two years, and this has been the best gym I’ve ever had the pleasure of working out in. I only canceled my membership because I left for a few months before moving to Norman, but didn’t have any issues with canceling like I’ve had at other gyms. The owner pours his heart into making this gym better, and even takes it upon himself to do the tasks I’m sure nobody else wants to do. If he ever decided to open a location in Norman, I would switch back in a heartbeat. On another note, Four Star has some really amazing trainers. Even the ones I wasn’t paying to train under were always happy to answer questions and offer advice for improvement.

Ive been working out at this gym consistently for over a year now. The staff has been very knowledgeable and they have a group of very professional trainers that get great results for both weight loss transformations and show prep athletes. One thing that really stands out to me is how well kept the gym is. If something is broken, they expedite repair. Also, its alway clean!!

Fantastic gym!! I have been to most of the big name gyms in OKC and the surrounding areas and nothing compares to Four Star. The facility is clean, the equipment is up to date and well cared for, and the owner and staff are INCREDIBLE!! This is like a huge gym family that welcomes all with open arms. Everyone is there with a different goal but all working towards being healthy. Take a chance and check out one of the 4 locations, you wont be disappointed.

Very expensive given what the facilities offer, especially the downtown location. it has very little. Also, the process to cancel your membership is absolutely insane. It takes 30 days notice, and requires you to mail a letter Certified Mail. Like, if you can charge me with just my payment info, then you can stop charging me just as easily. They really just want to squeeze one more payment out of you. For almost half the price, you can go to a newer gym with far more space, equipment, weights, classes, and amenities. Not worth it. Wish I had never signed that damn contract.

Four Star has been my home away from home for years now. You cant ask for a better gym in the city. Free tanning, free child care, and the absolute best equipment to use. Thats not the best part though. The best part are the owners, employees, trainers, and the regulars. Its a family atmosphere and you cant help but feel welcome the moment you walk in.

My Son loves the gym and his trainer there is Cullin Blevins who has alot of knowledge about getting fit and nutrition. The staff is really friendly also.

I absolutely LOVE this place. The trainers are the best if you go that way. If you do not and have a question a trainer will help you. The service at the front desk is great - always ready to help. Hands down the best gym in OKC. A member for over 4 years, there’s no other gym I would join. You will find the likes of many there and not one person is judging the other. It’s a family friendly environment. The staff and owner go out of their way to get to know you and your family. The gym is ALWAYS well kept. I’d say it’s the best kept secret of OKC gyms but by their membership and the number of trainers and clients, the secret has been out for some time.

This Gym is Great! This place is super clean and the staff is very personable with everyone. The trainers are exceptional as well and possibly the most knowledgeable trainers in all of OKLAHOMA. With an attached supplement store that can help with all of your supp wants/needs and the gym being open 24/7 there is no reason to spend an absolute fortune on other gyms in Okc or its surrounding areas. I visited OKC for the week and got a week pass from four star fitness. The price is great (only $25). The equipment in the gym exceeded my expectations. The facility is very clean and organized. And the staff is super friendly. The only thing I didn’t love were the hours. It is listed to be open 24/7 but if you have a week pass you can only use the gym when a staff member is there.

Four star is awesome and so is the staff. Ive been a member since it opened and now that there are other locations its even better. Contrary to what was written in a previous comment, Ive never had a problem with being over charged. The trainers are awesome the staff rules and everyone is friendly.

This review is for the Edmond location. Im giving one star because I have to in order to leave a review!!! That being said they dont even deserve that!!!!!! We went to check it out and while we loved the gym and the prices(you get what you pay for) we werent happy with the childcare situation. We signed up for a week trial with Cole S. for $50!!!! Yes you read that right!!!! We were fine with it though Bc we would get a credit towards our card fee if we chose to go with them. Well the more we thought about it we came to the conclusion that we are uncomfortable with the fact that its not a secure area. That being said I called and asked to speak to him or another manager and I spoke with an incredibly rude woman(said she was a manager)!!!! She said they dont allow passes or trials so she has no clue why he sold it to us. She talked to her boss who was standing next to her who also said it wasnt allowed so when I asked basically we got scammed?! She said yes! Also, its not refundable even though the guy pulled a fast one on us. Her words not mine. What a freaking JOKE!!!!! Not okay!!!!!!!

Id give it ten stars if I could. This place is the NASA of fitness for oklahoma. The staff goes all the way to encourage and support. The equipment is in a constant state of being kept up and upgraded. The atmosphere of the staff and members is so family. This gym makes the process of achieving your fitness goals almost idiot proof.

Literally the best gym in the city. They actually mean gym here, not just rows of useless cardio machines, but tons of machines, dumbbells and an entire room dedicated to the ultimate leg workout. You wont waste your time coming here.

Ive been training at Four Star since 2011 and am thankful for the convenient location, friendly staff, and the variety of equipment. The owner and staff have made it a point to take care of the trainers and members by maintaining the equipment, keeping the gym as clean as possible, and offering a fair membership price. I contacted this gym about my cancelation in December, then went through the proper process to cancel my membership by filling out paperwork, getting a cashiers check to pay for an early cancelation and mailing this in along with a bill from my new out of state address, just as they asked. Im not sure if they didnt receive that in the mail, but no one bothered to contact me and they continued charging me into this year for 8 months, and I just noticed last month. I immediately called and left a voicemail and sent an email, and no one got back to me, so I put a stop payment request on my bank. Now they are insisting that I pay an overdue balance before theyll bother to cancel my account. Also, my account renewed in June with no notice and no one bothering to contact me. This is incredibly unethical and an abuse of their members.

Judgement free gym!I personally go to the downtown location, and I love it. I have never felt more comfortable and safe at a gym. It is a very friendly gym, and the people that go are not the judgmental kind. Everyone I encounter is encouraging and uplifting.I came in as an inexperienced gym goer, and I never felt like I was being stared down or judged. It may seem intimidating to work out around some of the bodybuilding members at first, but they are too concerned with their next set to worry about judging you. It is pretty quiet in the mornings and after 8pm.The yoga bar upstairs is pretty awesome too. They give a discount to gym members! You basically pay what everyone else pays to do yoga, but you get a free gym membership when you think of it that way. I hope this gym never changes!

I have been training clients at Four Start Fitness since the gym opened 2007. There are two locations one on North May and one Downtown. Kevin, the owner takes pride in keeping all the equipment updated and in working order. You will not find a cleaner gym than Four Star Fitness! Their cancellation policy is absolutely ridiculous. When I signed up they said after my contract expired they would continue to charge me the regular monthly amount until I called to cancel. It was up last month so I called to cancel and you actually have to mail in a 30 day notice to cancel form. They literally make it to where they can charge you another month. I recently moved so after reading the form I called to see if there was anything they could do to not charge me another month since I dont even live in the area anymore and they just said no. Great company...just wish all of their members realize they will be charged a month after they cancel and there isnt anything they can do about it.

This gym should actually be called Five Star! I have been a gym member at a variety of gyms in OKC most of my adult life, 20+ years. I have never been to a gym quite like Four Star Fitness. The atmosphere at Four Star sets the bar all other gyms should follow. If you have been a workout enthusiast or you are just a beginner this place is for you. There is No intimidation factor whatsoever. The building and equipment are always clean.The owner keeps the place up to date, trendy yet simple and keeps the all inclusive memberships VERY affordable. Your membership includes classes offered, tanning, childcare etc. There are no high pressure sales people pushing training packages or supplements. You simply choose your trainer if you desire one and train with some of the BEST OKC has to offer. Its that simple! Go check Four Star Fitness out.

A member for over three years and went from downtown to work out at the May location because I loved the environment. The classes and cardio cinema were my two absolute favorites! Love all of the updates and changes they just made at the May location also. Now Im at the downtown location because it is closer and I am obsessed with their version of spin class and the kickboxing class.

This place was the worst gym operation Ive ever made the mistake of being involved with in my life. Its a major pain to leave this gym, when you find that the gym is not for you. Im 69 years old, and was attracted to 4Star due to its proximity to my home, and their assurance that they would be getting machines that I could use due to my physical limitations. Instead, they allow a plethora of wannabe physical trainers prey on you, while you try to adapt to their equipment, which is principally dedicated to body builders with a sprinkling of partially operating treadmills while theyre sucking money out of your bank account. So fellow citizens beware--I am still trying to quit this place for the last 90 days. As for fellow seniors, it is downright dangerous--find someplace else where they treat you right.

The cancellation policy is terrible, it took months to cancel my contract. Sent it regular mail and it was somehow lost and they said I didn’t send it in. After $360 extra dollars out of me the have finally cancelled it. Won’t ever go back again and speaking with the owner got me no where. Highly recommend not signing up here unless you never want to cancel your contract. Highly disappointed.

Do not under any circumstances give this gym your business. I have been trying to cancel with them since February and it is now October. They have made it incredibly difficult to cancel. The cancellation policy depends upon whom you ask and a different answer will be given. I called to cancel my sons account and they said they wouldnt give me any information because my son would have to come in and fill out the cancellation himself. I explained to them my financial information was on the account for my teenaged son but they still would not budge, nor did they ask me my name. So, my son went in and filled out the information and left the key with the person on duty. They didnt say he needed to do anything else. I noticed a few months later that I was still being charged and contacted the company and I was then told that I didnt do the paperwork correctly. That you dont turn in the paperwork at the location. That you have to send in the cancellation paperwork by certified mail. I explained to them my concern and no one said that I needed to fill it out or have my son fill out the information. The manager said that he has no record of me calling, therefore it never happened and too bad. I spoke with the manager again last night after waiting for weeks to get this resolved and he basically called me a liar. AND I went to my bank to put a stop payment on them today and they are STILL charging me. In fact, they are charging me days before they normally do, probably to make sure I didnt put a stop payment on it. I am outraged that this company is treating me this way. I am filing a complaint with the attorney general, Better Business Bureau and will review wherever I need to. I want them to change their policy and treat their consumers in a fair way.

It takes an act of God to cancel. They can take your money at the gym but they cannot cancel you there. After taking time to send certified letter they claim they did not get. Takes months to cancel. I see that others have the same problem. It sounds like they need a class action lawsuit to stop these practices!!

I would like to preface this and say i am posting this review to help give insight for people with social limitations.Id give them 4 or 5 stars based entirely off their selection of equipment and great prices. But for someone with any kind of social anxiety (me) this is likely not the gym for you. This gym when i came to sign up was P A C K E D! If you look and see what their attendance looks like day to day (i didnt do) youll see you might be in kinda a awkward situation if you dont mix well with people who are jacked and far more advanced in their fitness journeys than you. Again not saying anything to offend anyone, just my personal opinion and id like to help someone else with the same worries before they sign a year long contact thats harder to get out of than a basketball coming out of a water hose. This gym stay busy, a very large portion of the people attending are all very dedicated to say the least. So if a large group of people you dont know, who are all (in alot of cases) far more advanced in fitness than you makes you uncomfortable.... then i would not recommend this gym. If you are more normal than I and can handle sexy strangers (had to throw a little fun in here not tryna be weird) everywhere. Then hop on them good ol prices. This gym has everything you could want.Hope this helps someone.
