My home warranty company selected them to come repair my broken dishwasher and the ice maker on my fridge. 2 months and 3 visits and 5 appointments later, neither one is working. They do not give you any input on appointment time, not even if it is in the first or second half of the day, so you have to pretty much clear your schedule and wait on them. They say they will call or text you when they are finishing with the previous appointment, but they don’t. They just call you and say ‘we’re at your house now’. They have very low availability, so you will go several weeks between the appointment where they evaluate what’s wrong and the one where they attempt to fix it after ordering parts. Then the parts they order won’t even fix the problem. And don’t get me started on the appointment that they scheduled for the afternoon. And they waited until 3 pm to call and tell me that 4 of their technicians called in sick that day and no one would be coming and I’d have to reschedule. Yes, 4 people called in sick and 7 hours later they called to tell me. This company is hands down the worst and I will never have them back to my home. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THEM

Have been without ovens since 11/2020 they use a company called A&E to send out horrible! Replaced parts still doesn’t work, missed multiple appointments including today 5/20/2021. Now telling me June 2nd is the soonest they can come out. They are horrible all the way around! I highly recommend going with someone else.

I have an extended warranty from buying my appliance at Best Buy. So this service doesn’t cost me anything financially speaking. Which may play a role in my treatment. A&E can schedule the appointment, but they can’t keep their appointment. They did this twice. The second time their call center told me the four hour time window was just a guesstimate and going over the time two hours was ok by their standards. Well A&E that’s not ok by my standards. You’re FIRED!!!
Well, let me put it to you this way. Ive had three repair technicians at my house to fix my refrigerator, and it still doesnt work. So, Im not very pleased with the service I have received from Sears. And I purchased a Product Protection Plan. So, if you think that is going to benifit you, you will be sadly disappointed. I thought they would have either fixed it or replaced it seeing that it has been nearly two months since it broke down, and they still havent done neither. So, my advice...DONT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM SEARS!!!!

We have had the WORST experience with sears appliance repair. Our dishwasher was less than a year old when it stopped working. We’ve had a technician come out multiple times since end of January/beginning of February and he does not know what he is doing. He has ordered the wrong parts, replaced parts that weren’t even causing the problems, wired up the new motor wrong and pinched the wires which caused the wires to start to burn and ruined brand new motor. We had to have an electrician come out to fix his mistake and our dishwasher is still not working after the second “new” motor has been delivered and installed. Customer service does not want to help. A manager was supposed to call me back a week ago and I still have not heard back. I will NEVER recommend sears or buy from them again. This has been a nightmare. Here we are almost 3 months later and my 1 year warranty is now out and we still don’t have a working dishwater. Horrible! Horrible! Horrible!!!!
Terrible customer service. No notification prior to service tech showing up. I opened the door and the guy walks right on in. No introduction or anything. I didnt even have a shirt on and so I asked him if he can give me a minute and he just walked right on past me, straight to the kitchen. Totally ignored me. Im the homeowner!!! I do appreciate the sense of urgency, however, it would be nice if he was a little more respectful in a customers home.I do not recommend this company to anyone. This is NOT the Sears & Roebuck we have all been accustomed to. It now makes sense that Sears stores are closing across America.
When service showed up they didnt have parts on truck for mower ie: blades, air filter, etc. When making appointment they dont ask what model of Craftsman Pro you have so that service can make sure all that they might need is on truck especially if you live rural. Service guy felt bad. Needless to say with NO replacement blades he was unable to see how it would mow--its not mowing level so stuck with that even after he had blades shipped to us along with air filter which we had to put in ourselves. The headlight bulb was not replaced. Over 30 years of being faithful to Sears and now not so much after the way things have gone downhill.
Awful customer service. I’ve been dealing with Sears for over a month to get my fridge repaired. Between wrong parts being ordered and technicians not showing up (no call they wouldn’t be here either). Go with someone else if you want your stuff fixed in a timely manner and not waste multiple days taking off of work. You’ll just get sent to a call center in India when you have a problem. Absolutely terrible!
I am very frustrated with my repair experience at this point. The repairman ordered the wrong part for my repair. I have now spent two weeks and multiple phone calls trying to return the part to receive a refund. Calling the customer service number has been disappointing as I end up in an endless loop with no real confirmation that what they are telling me will actually result in my part being picked up for return. The first time I called I was told the parts dept would call me in 24 hours to process my return. They never called. I called them again and was sent an email so I could receive a return label. The link in the email called for my order number, which I did not know. The service rep said he did not know my order number either. Eventually, he gave me an order number but it did not work in the link. Then, I was transferred back to another rep who said she would process the return on her end - I merely needed to mark the box correctly and place it on the porch for UPS pick up. UPS never picked up the box. I called back and was sent through the same process again - the parts dept is supposed to call me in 24-48 hours and the person I spoke to is supposed to be notifying UPS about my pick up. I have very little confidence that the process will work this week since it didnt work last time! In the meantime, I was able to figure out the correct part to order on my own and have repaired the refrigerator. Thankfully Im not still waiting for a fridge to work!
I can honestly say the Repair Man who arrived was Prompt, Professional, Knowledgeable and an all around good guy!! I felt comfortable around him and thats the kind of person you dont mind being in your home. He even tried helping to keep the cost down. Referring to Cost that was My only complaint which has nothing to do with the repair man. But instead about Sears and there general maintenance fees and part costs. My appliance (Dryer) which was worked on was a quick fix for the gentleman who came out. I know theres Labor cost and so on, but I feel the total price I had to pay was around 30% to high. Again, the service was Terrific and my Dryer is up and running great!!Thank you,Paul
I used to love Sears appliances, but I am sadden to say that I bought a BRAND NEW washer and dryer 2 years ago. The dryer is fine; However, my washing machine has messed up more than 10 times in the last two years (no exaggeration). The techs practically rebuilt my entire washer. I dont understand how come they just dont give me another one?...my washing machine is messed up right now. It has caused a big inconvenience to my family and I, as well as cost me money to go to the laundromat. They have not even tried to reimburse my money. This is not how you run a business.

Awesome features were: online repair request, very prompt service, call from technician when he was on his way, text alert with map tracker to see where technician was driving and estimated time of arrival, information on Sears provided warranty (but not pushy to buy the service), quick and efficient repairs. Very unhappy with their service combined with my home warranty company. Refrigerator clicking on and off every couple of minutes (which we have never heard it do before), ice cream soft (yuck). Repairman came out and we paid our copay. He literally didnt look at anything but turned up the temp control and said thats all it needed. We had already done that and identified that fixed the symptoms but not the problem and created other problems. Needless to say the eggs and vegetables froze along with the ice cream. Called the company for a recall to come out and actually evaluate and fix it. They came out today and checked it out said they couldnt find anything wrong. Really????? Cause its still clicking, everything has to be on high (this is something new) and my ice creams still soft with the dial on high. These people are incompetent and Im stupid for not requesting a different vendor but then I would have had to pay another copay. Dont waste your time with this company. I understand why they went bankrupt. Poor service!!!!Unreliable!!! Waste of money!!!!! Sears used to stand for something but not anymore. Very disappointed.
The repairman hooked up his computer to the back of my washer and did something that caused the washer to completely shut down. He stated that the reason it wasnt working was because the motherboard was bad and it wasnt being made any more. The options we had were to replace the drain pump to see if that would over-ride the computerized system and make the machine drain or replace the washer itself. We opted for the drain pump replacement. Once replaced it drained on trial run, but later that day when running a full load of clothes it stopped draining again. Even though he said the work was guaranteed, we cant replace the washer right now so I put in a claim on my home warranty account. Their repairman came out and replaced the drain pump because the one Sears put in was defective and showed me why. He stated he works on Samsung appliances several times a week and knows what he is talking about. Again, the trial run drained, but again it stopped draining later that day. He came back out again and stating it could only be two things, the pressure switch (which Sears never mentioned) or the motherboard. He was able to order both parts and will be replacing them when they arrive. He also said Sears has two motherboards in stock so the Sears man was being deceptive about not being able to get the part. I am going to be reaching out to Sears to get some kind of refund on the work that was done.
What a joke, I don’t usually do reviews but people need to be aware of how bad this company really is. I was told by customer service that my 2 year old refrigerator was acceptable to be down for a month. With two kids a month without a refrigerator is a lifetime. And it was a bad compressor from LG, so Sears points at LG and LG points at Sears. And as of now it’s still not working and I’m still waiting for the 3rd service call. First one was 2 weeks, second a week and a half, now another week for the third. I know now why Sears is going out of business.....
Poor. Initial service did not solve issue. Difficult to schedule follow-up service. Worst customer service Ive experienced; however, the company that Sears contracts with tried their best to resolve the issue in a timely manner. Took nearly 2 weeks and 4 different service techs to finalize service repair. Do not recommend.
On 6/4/2019 we had a technician come to our home for a home warranty claim. First, they misdiagnosed an issue to an issue my home warranty would not cover, and had to front money out of my pocket to get a second opinion. Second, in taking my fridge apart the technician actually broke another part of my fridge. I have been in the process of filing a claim through Sears trying to get them out to fix the issue they caused. It has been a couple days since my claim has been filed, and still no one has been assigned to it. So still waiting....... one star is to many for my experience, but had to put at least one.

The repair man, David, was about as nice and knowledgeable as anyone could be. He was here about an hour. He was supposed to be here between 8am and 12pm but he called and asked if he could be here at 12:30 that he was delayed at the previous job. It was fine with us. He had the part needed with him and he replaced the part in less than an hour. I asked him to check out the dryer next and after he called it in he checked it out also. Great job. Always happy with Sears. My Kitchen, except for the dishwasher, is all Sears. WHY? Because Sears stands behind there products. Thanks, Sherman

Every Sears technician I have had come to my house over the years has been professional and highly qualified to do their job. Ive most recently gotten a master protection warranty on my double convection oven and I have been extremely satisfied with the service Ive received. They always make sure we are happy and understand what actions were taken before they call the job done.
I called Sears to have a stripped nut removed from my riding mower. The next available appointment for this 5 minute fix was 10+ days out from the day I called, and I was told I would need to be home from 8-5pm to wait for the tech. My wife waited until 3pm before she could wait no more. At 2:30 I called Sears to check on the technician and was told that he would likely arrive between 3-5pm, so I left work early to wait the last 2 hours. At 6:05 pm, the tech called to say that he was on his way but that his GPS said he was an hour out. He actually asked if I still wanted him to come out. As we already been waiting 10+ days and 10+ hours for this to show up, of course I said Well yeah, the problem isnt resolved. He arrived shortly before 7:30 and was gone by 7:45. The tech was fine. He had a long day and seemed frustrated to have to drive an hour out of his way on a Friday night to remove a stripped locknut, but he solved my problem quickly.Sears will be a distant memory in 5 years, and this is why. I grew up on Craftsman products, my dad told me I could trust Sears, and I did for years. Hopefully theyll be around for another 2 years, thats when the service plan on my mower runs out. Other than that, Sears is dead to me and will never see another penny from my family.

Was looking for a water filter for my whirlpool Kenmore fridge but they didnt have any was closing doors. I only give a 1 star for inability to help. I love Sears and am sad they closed

Charged for diagnostic and repair of a leak in my washer, but the diagnostic tech didnt open the washer to actually determine where the leak was originating and ordered the wrong part. 3 weeks later, another tech installed the new part then removed it once we realized it wasnt the issue. I was charged $205 and still have a broken washer and Sears has marked the repair as complete. Tried to request a refund from Sears, but havent heard from them in over a week. The Philippines Call Center was no help at all. So sad to see Sears drop to such low standards.
Terrible. If I could rate ZERO Stars - I would. 4 year old GE Monogram high end refrigerator stopped working. Lost several $100 in food. A&E (Sears) Took several days to get a technician - then almost a week to get a replacement compressor. Cost was about $500 with a service plan. Unit worked for a day. Another few days to get a technician back. Lost more food. Tech found a leak - on a damaged coil. Why wasnt leak found when the 1st tech pulled a vacuum and pressure tested new compressor? Or did 1st tech accidentally damage coil? Neither answer is good. They wanted another $800 to repair. We are not playing this game. Bought a new Samsung refrigerator through Best Buy - with Geek Squad replacement guarantee.
The repairman came on the 31st and made up for many frustrating visits by finally discovering why the furnace would not restart after the initial temperature was reached without unplugging and plugging it in again. He ran several tests and made modifications. The furnace finally worked as it should and we are thankful. We were warm on New Years Eve and have been ever since...and with the outside temperature in the teens to have heat is a blessing! Our thanks to the Sears crew and especially Treavor.
Our appointment window was from 1-5 pm, and he showed up around 4 pm. He called to let us know when he was on his was to our house directly (so like a 15 min heads up). Once he arrived, he quickly diagnosed the problem and had the repair completed within a half hour. Price seemed reasonable enough to us

Repairman was a perfect gentleman and very friendly. However, after explaining the problem to him he decided that one part was the culprit and he changed it out. Proclaimed that should take care care of the problem and left. Ran a load of dishes later the same day and the very same problem happened. Called the very next morning for a re-visit to repair the problem and was told it would be one week before a repairman could come out. Same problem....6 hours after repairsame problem. Repair call 18 hours after visit.....and I have to wait a WEEK!!! Should have been same day or next day at latest. This is a metro area.....not a rural or remote area.
Service was fine, but this is the 25th e-mail I have received to rate I called and ask to remove my e-mail address but who ever I talk to apparently did not do it. I will never give my e-mail address to Sears again.
My refrigerator is not working as well now as it was before it was cleaned. I think coincidence. My fan may be out again I am keep it almost cold with freezer air. I havent been able to get back to get it fixed yet. I will need to schedule another service for it as soon as possible, soon as I can get time for it.
Repair on just a 6 month old fridge which was still under warranty seems to be good. The rubber seal around the door came unglued around the whole door. It has been less than a week since repair but appears to be holding up so far. Repair person was very knowledgeable,personable and friendly. No charge since it was still under warranty.Note - this was a low end fridge we use in our garage but still brand new. Sears just doesnt make them like they used to. We were told this Kenmore was made by Frigidaire.
We were very pleased with the repair of our dryer. The technician knew exactly what the problem was with the heating element, had the part and repaired it in a very timely manor.What was disconcerting was that our appointment was made for Monday morning and we were getting all kinds of reminders over the weekend that our technician would be coming during specific times in the morning hours. It wasnt until I called the toll free number at 10 AM did I find out that the technician was coming Monday afternoon. Basically we waited all day. Please notify your customers if their appointment times have been changed.Thank you!
The repairman showed up on time and was very friendly. He offered detailed info about a possible home warranty too. However, it turns out that while he fixed one problem, apparently it wasnt the only problem. The washer broke again within 24 hours. But they couldnt come recheck it for a week. So now were hoping someone else cancels so we can be seen earlier.

My microwave/oven combo is under full extended warranty. I have had it almost 3 years. Three weeks ago the fan became much louder. The Sears repairman said that is how its supposed to sound, thats how they all sound. I asked him where a unit might be located in our city that sounded that loud. He couldnt name one. He left without making the repair and I have a loud fan noise permeating my kitchen when I operate the oven and microwave.
FAST, EFFICIENT, PERSONABLE REPAIR MAN. HE COULD FIND NOTHING WRONG WITH THE DRYER, BUT AFTER HE CLEANED IT UP, REMOVED THE DRUM AND DID SOMETHING WITH THAT DRUM, THE DRYER HAS WORKED FINE SINCE THEN. HE MUST HAVE HAD A LITTLE ELF MAGIC AT THIS TIME OF YEAR!

Given the ridiculous 4 hour timeframe of 10:00 till 2:00 PM for the tech to show. I called the company 2:22 PM when no one showed. I was informed that they will have the tech call me. Received the techs call at 2:52 PM that he was running late due to complications on another call and would not arrive for at least another hour. He finally arrived approx 4:50 PM, completed repairs and was out the door 5:20 PM. WHOLE FRICKIN DAY SHOT FOR 1/2 HOUR OF MAINTENANCE!!!

I scheduled the appointment between 8-noon and the service rep didnt arrive until around 12:30pm. My icemaker wasnt dispensing ice, so it was only a minor repair. However, within 30 minutes of the repairman leaving, the freezer started making this horrible sound. I called the service techs phone number that he had called me from to let me know when he would arrive and left a message. I also called the 1-800 number to let them know what had happened. They told me that if I didnt hear back from them on that day, I needed to call them to set-up another appointment. I DIDNT hear back, so called them back. Sears couldnt come back out until the following Wednesday, 5 days later! I asked to speak to a supervisor and left my number for them to call and NEVER heard from them. Im very disappointed in the service and customer service.
I liked the automatic updates as to when the tech would arrive and the doubling up with the tech calling me, telling me he was on his way. David was a straight shooter. I couldnt believe how quickly he diagnosed the issue and repaired it. Done and gone in 20 minutes. I couldnt recommend the service any higher.

First three techs did not know anything about this microwave. Fourth tech was outstanding. Parts had to be ordered four times. First three times parts arrived broken or are were wrong parts.

The work was good, the technician knowledgeable and efficient, but $250 labor for 45 minutes of work (arriving to departure) is excessive. Parts adding to this was another $50, not unreasonable.
