My AC went out and ComfortWorks sent a technician out the next day to fix it. The repair man was on time, knowledgeable, and courteous. I appreciate the receptionist calling with updates and keeping me informed. Overall - very thankful for their expertise!
DONT DRINK the GREEN KOOLAID!!!!!!!!!!I have a top of the line ClimateMaster that was installed a few years ago. Paid a hefty price tag to be green $30k! The unit has mold inside and outside of it. A mold test was performed independently which I paid for, and the technician recommended replacing the unit because he couldnt say he would be sure he could clean it all out. I called several times over the years to have them come to do preventative maintenance on the unit and they were always too busy with other customers. Seems to me they install and then leave the customer to navigate how to get a qualified HVAC tech out to do simple preventative maintenance. According to them the mold is normal and its my attic that is causing the issue. Seems strange to me if the attic was fine enough to install the unit then they are just blowing sun where the sun doesnt shine. They have been no help to me ever. And since I am outside of the 5 year installation warranty I am basically stuck with a contaminated unit and trying to figure out how to replace this worthless $30k unit. The amount of money I paid for this is equivalent to a new car I am completely and utterly stuck with picking up their pieces. So far I learned that with a foam insulated home I needed to have some components installed to help prevent too much moisture from accumulating. Personally I think these units have a manufacturing defect. Why on earth would I want to fork out more money to supplement geothermal. Insurance wont cover this, and the installers wont have anything more to do with it, so I am up creek without a paddle. No more am I drinking the green koolaid I am going back to traditional and taking a second mortgage out to help pay for this. Run for the hills from this company because all they will do is leave you in the dust.
Comfort Works offers excellent customer service! I’ve used them several times to repair my geo-thermal heat pump. The latest was right in the middle of record cold temperatures. The unit went out overnight. I called them at 8 a.m. the next morning. They showed up in the afternoon and fixed the problem. Their tech, Zach, was knowledgeable and extremely friendly, explaining everything he was doing. I highly recommend this company. When I get ready to replace the unit, Comfort Works will get the job!
In this record cold snap, my water pipe burst in the garage closet shared with the heating unit. The water caused the heater to stop working. I called Comfort Works this morning hoping to get on a repair list for early next week. To my surprise, they scheduled for tomorrow but were able to make it today. Yay! Repair tech Chris was friendly, informative, and knowledgeable! Great experience!!
At the end of July our unit quit working so we had it replaced. The 2 installers Casey and Brian arrived on time and were efficient in their work. I was very impressed with their speed and quality. I would highly recommend using them to anyone who needs heating or cooling needs.
We just completed our new 80k sf building and installed Comfort Works Geo-Thermal system. weve occupied our building for 3 months.I have been amazed at the system itself. Quiet, efficient and customer friendly! not to mention the simplicity of the system.I have been in the working environment for over 50 years. I have never had the pleasure of a nicer bunch of people at Comfort Works to work with. Their attention to detail and customer service exceeds all expectations!I will be putting one of these systems in my home when my old antiquated furnace goes out.Kudos to Comfort Works and their people! Keep up the great work!
GEOTHERMAL SYSTEM INSTALL A company is only as good as its leadership and people. The craftmanship and skill of the workers is just as important as the best equipment. This is what makes Comfortworks the best choice for a geothermal system installation. Chris, the manager/ president provided excellent leadership and hands-on supervision. The drilling crew was hardworking and dedicated. Their skill and speed was awe inspiring. Ronnie is a master electrician, excellent system troubleshooter, and problem solver. Andy and Manny did a great job installing ductwork, and they were friendly and fast. There were a few glitches and annoying problems along the way, but thanks to Comfortworks excellent customer service, all is well. The system works as expected, and Im saving money and saving the earth. Thank you, Chris. You and your crew deserve kudos for professionalism, skill, and work ethic. I recommend Comfortworks for geothermal installation without hesitation. Thank you all.
We love having a geothermal system at our business. It runs seamlessly and very efficiently. We have used Comfortworks for maintenance from the beginning (several years now) and we are always impressed with their knowledge, professionalism and customer service. We appreciate them and would highly recommend!
I have residential geothermal HVAC and my A/C stopped working. The technician (Zack) came Saturday night almost at midnight. Zack found the problem quickly, and he had a replacement capacitor part in his van. $271 for a midnight weekend repair, including the part.
I built my present 5000 s.f. home 20 years ago. I wanted an efficient comfortable home. I built a complete GEO Thermal home with geo heated floors, geo heated domestic water, and geo a/c. I used the equipment and advice of the Comfort.works team. Chris Ellis and Wes Wostal gave me advice on equipment and design. I have been overly impressed with the total package. Comfort.works advice, equipment, installation and follow up have been excellent. I couldnt be more pleased. Comfort.works are top notch professionals.
Greedy...charged $115 to come look at job. The boss, Chris Ellis, calls and mails estimate. Called another company, $75 to come look at job. Called a 3rd company, $100 to look at job. Comfortworks was exactly double the 3rd companies estimate! He must treat his employees well because he has some of the best people working there from the service techs (Ronnie) to the office staff (Brandy)
Years ago, I was faced with the daunting task of replacing a forty-year-old electric furnace and heat pump. I knew that geothermal offered obvious benefits and did a ton of research.I contacted Comfortworks, and my questions were answered. I started reaping the benefits within a short time, thanks to Chris Ellis and his experienced crews. Electric bills were reduced by nearly fifty percent, and we have a virtually unlimited supply of hot water. Plus, no more noisy heat pump outside our kitchen window to replace every five or six years.I recently opted for a whole-house humidifier as part of an upgrade that included a new Nest thermostat. Chris came out to confirm operation and personally set up both the humidifier and Nest (after his crew installed the equipment.)I am beyond pleased. No more filling portable humidifiers with distilled water. (We are on a well that is loaded with minerals, to the point that I had two tabletop distillers running daily.) The Aprilaire system we now have requires no cleaning, due to its unique design.)But the real star in the setup is the staff at ComfortWorks. Knowledgeable technicians led by experienced management have resulted in a very happy customer. (Even the office staff is friendly and helpful.)
To early to completely review but follow up on setting an appointment was great.
WORST PURCHASE WE HAVE EVER MADE!First of all, I want to share this little tidbit of information from Comfortworks’ website, because, unfortunately, we did not learn about it until it was too late—“100% Satisfaction Guaranteed! If for any reason you, the original purchaser, are not satisfied with your ClimateMaster Geothermal Heating & Cooling System, we will repair the problem to your satisfaction or remove the ClimateMaster products and refund the purchase price, subject to Conditions and Limitations. This guarantee will remain in effect for one year after the original installation date.” HOPEFULLY IT WILL HELP SOMEONE ELSE!Installation of our geothermal system was completed on 08.10.16 and we had our first system error on 08.13.16. Since that time, we have had issue after issue and it has never run correctly. We have had 27 documented service calls (19 of those within the first year) and countless phone calls. At first, Comfortworks was quick to come out for service calls to try to fix the various problems. As it became apparent that it was a bigger issue, they started deflecting everything to ClimateMaster and communication has been sporadic. In June 2017, we voiced our concern to Chris Ellis, Vice President Comfortworks, that we were approaching our one year anniversary. Comfortworks assured us that we were backed by a 10 year ClimateMaster warranty. (There was no mention of the 100% Satisfaction Guarantee that is at the bottom of one of their web pages and it is not mentioned in their quote or contract agreement). Comfortworks stated that they were working with ClimateMaster to get our unit repaired/replaced.When the representatives from ClimateMaster and Comfortworks were on-site to troubleshoot, they assured us that they would take care of the issue and get things resolved. However, once back at the office, phone calls and texts would go unanswered.Fall 2018, ClimateMaster dismissed our claims and said that they were not going to do anything else to resolve our issue. In December 2018, a Comfortworks senior technician was on a service call, at another location, and observed the same type of failure. In his words, “Everything was running along nicely, then suddenly the blower stops and very quickly turns back on and ramped up. It is the same system as yours and manufactured around the same time.” Comfortworks admitted that this was in fact happening. When Comfortworks contacted ClimateMaster about this, they finally agreed to replace our air handler and a control board; but, they are requiring us to sign a “Settlement and Confidentiality Agreement, and Release” before they will perform the warranty work. We refuse to sign the agreement due to the fact, that the warranty does not state that there will be additional terms added in order for the warranty work to be performed and we refuse to limit our rights as a consumer. After this ultimatum from ClimateMaster, Comfortworks has not contacted us nor attempted any resolution or refund for our problematic system. As the contracting installer, Chris Ellis, VP of Comfortworks, should have made this right instead of deflecting everything to ClimateMaster.
Chris Ellis has all the right people to provide customer service that few can deliver today. We have had a couple of service requirements in 7 years, but their 24/7 tech hotline has enabled us to stay comfortable 99.9% of the time, and if a service call is required they set a time, ID the problem, and fix the issue immediately. Trent, thanks for keeping us cool!
I want to thank the 2 men that came to help us when we were stranded and ran out of gas. It’s embarrassing enough, but I do have to give out props for your kindness. Thank yall so much!
We just had 2 systems installed by Comfortworks. So far, systems are working very well. It seems the house stays at a more constant temperature and is very quiet. Installation was done extremely well considering how much it entails. The people that did the work were very professional and respectful of the property. They were not in a hurry and seemed to take necessary time to do an expert installation. Chris Ellis was very knowledgeable and professional as was the lead installer, Andy. I recommend Comfortworks if you are considering geothermal based on my experience with this company and with the system performance and installation. I cant say anything about how it heats the house yet, but will update review after we use the heating this winter. If heating is like the experience so far, I expect it will be also very good.
Good service friendly service.
