I will not be recommending this salon to anyone. Every customer has to wear a mask please make sure that you demonstrate equal representation in that. The young lady yelled across the room at the pedicure chairs,to my niece to pull up her mask. However, the young lady she was working on did not have on her mask and she did not say anything. Then for a $50 pedicure not to remove calluses, simply ridiculous. I thank God I dont live and have to deal with this, if this is the VIP pedicure that you can get. They begin to speak about me in their language, once I said I know some of their language they begin to say, oh you didnt think we were talking about you did you, you didnt understand everything? Of course they smile in your face while theyre working on you until they get your money and then they talk about you. That is not the VIP treatment that Im used to.

I adore this place. Amy does an amazing job on my nails and Jackie does a supreme pedicure. Definitely try the VIP pedi.

What I got done at VIP nail is the first picture… what I got at S Nail is the 2nd picture. They do not know how to shape correctly, and they are charging the most for length. It is clean and nice looking inside but there is not one good tech.

Overall enjoyable experience -the nail tech that did my pedicure was wonderful however my nails got cut way to short which was disappointing because I had grown them out for a wedding so they would stay long and natural. I also wasn’t greeted at all when I walked in and the staff seemed annoyed with each other. The women who did my toes made the experience much better or it would have gotten less stars 😬

Great experience with super deluxe pedicure with Jackie. I also had Amy Lee for my manicure, so was so gentle and careful with the drill. The salon itself is just gorgeous! They must have an excellent ventilation system because it does not stink of nail polish and remover like other nail salons. I found my new go to place! I did make reservations in advance and highly recommend them.

My daughter and I just returned for a deluxe pedicure yesterday after not getting our nails done since before the pandemic started. What a delightful relaxing experience! From Essential rose oil in the foot bath, fresh orange slices used in exfoliation along with fresh herbs right through to the hot stone massage and paraffin for treatment, we were so pleased! It was all around a wonderful time. The ladies are so kind. I highly recommend this pedicure at VIP Nail Bar.

The best part of a clean set is the shape! And they do not know how to shape correctly. It is your basic shaping. Not oval, not square, it’s just not clean lines.

I LOVE this place! I have tried other nail salons in Lansing and VIP has the best services. Everyone is so nice. My nails always look beautiful, and they have so many color options for Dip nails. I always get the VIP signature pedicure and it is so relaxing. Prices are so reasonable. They even do lash extensions, tried it and loved how they came out. I would definitely recommend over and over again.

I scheduled an appointment for a deluxe pedicure with Lily for June 16th. I liked that they had an online scheduling option and great reviews, but my experience was poor. Lily seemed preoccupied during the pedicure. When she filed my nails the file often hit the top of my toes, scraping the skin. She also cut skin and ingrown nails with tools. Had she asked if I wanted that service done I would have said “no” since only podiatrists are properly trained to do that. I asked for a Mickey Mouse head for the design (literally 3 circles) she told me it would not be exactly like the picture and it definitely was not. Also, while I scheduled a deluxe pedicure, I believe (based on length of the service and cost) that I was given a basic pedicure.

I drive from Jackson to get my nails done by Maile. She and her some of her family worked in Jackson a few years ago prior and I decided that I didn’t trust anyone else to do my nails. They all do a fantastic job on my nails. They always do exactly what I want and are eager to hear how myself and family are doing, as they’ve met both my husband and my kids in the past. Everyone is friendly and caring, even to a new client. Their facility is also clean and I love getting their pedicures, they do such a great job on making sure you’re relaxed. I always recommend them because I get many compliments on my nails.

I will never go to another nail salon again!! I make the drive from Howell every 2 weeks to get my nails by Maile. Everyone there is so personable and very friendly (I am greeted by name every time)! When I come in showing Maile a picture of what I want, she nails it and I always leave satisfied!! I refer all my friends and family here because I’ve never experienced another nail salon as top notch as this one is.

I had an appointment for 4:15 with Amy Lee. She was ready as soon as I got there, very sweet, very professional and very very gentle! She made my first experience here a great one. I definitely 10/10 recommend and will be coming here from now on!

I went here for my wedding and they did EXACTLY what I wanted for my nails! It was great! The only thing I will say is that the workers were very difficult to understand sometimes, but with the work they did it was well worth it.

Very great service. I felt taken care of from the moment I walked through the door. My nail tech Kim was very precise and took her time with my nails and pedicure as well. One of the other young ladies who was also a nail tech gave me 2 free designs on my nails just as a token of appreciation for me as a polite customer. My nails look grown out as if it’s been two weeks when it’s only been 1, not to mention the initial day of getting my nails done the young woman cut me on my left pinky to the point where it drew blood and I totally disregarded it and let it go but cmon 1 week and all of this?! The young lady that answered when I called said they would fix it and to come back in but I live nowhere near Okemos and would have to waste gas for something that should’ve been done right the first time. A credit would’ve been more suffice for me to come back when I have time but I just won’t be going back unfortunately.EDIT: MAY 5th, 2019: Do not name your establishment VIP if that is not the service that will be offered. As you see below there are screenshots between me and Kim, the nail tech that cut me the first time, OFFERING for me coming in and getting my nails re done for FREE. Not at a discounted price but for FREE. Note that these messages are a WEEK after my nails were originally done so although I was not able to come in a week later, It was relayed that I was unhappy with my services and realized that they were not up to par after the 1 week. I called that Monday that I was supposed to come in and meet with Kim to fix this issue to let them know I would not be able to make it. Note, again, I DO NOT stay anywhere near Okemos and do not have the free time to just drive there. I was told that we could reschedule, I could come in and that no matter what it would be FREE. From both Kim AND the manager I spoke to. I show up today around 3 (I admit there was not an appointment set for me but I was willing to wait for some available time) the manager then begins to explain to me that I could come back tomorrow (which was fine because I was not booked) and that I would need to pay an ADDITIONAL $20 because I needed 2 nails fixed and a fill and because I waited 2 weeks to come back in. When not only did I let it be known EXACTLY a week after that my nails were not up to par and coming apart but I also posted and TOOK pictures EXACTLY a week after (which are posted below) showing these things as well. On TOP of me explaining to them that it was not in my schedule to be able to come in when they WANTED me to but when I had time which are also posted in the picture below. Whatever happened to giving your customers a credit? I was CUT to the point where it drew blood and I left a great review, regardless of my health being at risk . I was willing to work with them as far as fixing this problem and changing my review . I was polite, understanding and respectful during this whole ordeal. And in the end I was LIED to and almost coaxed out of $20? When all of the steps I was supposed to follow I ABSOLUTELY did? DO NOT WASTE your money this place is a JOKE. You’re better off going to ANH NAILS. Cheaper prices and REAL top of the line service. I decided to try this place but I will be staying loyal to ANH nails after this foul experience.

I really enjoyed my experience! It is a beautiful environment and is very relaxing and well kept. Both of the women who helped me were extremely nice. I got a classic pedicure and manicure and I felt it was very reasonably priced. Very thankful for my experience and definitely plan to return!

I have been going here for about a year and every time leaving satisfied. If i ever have a problem, i stop by and they are quick to fit me in and fix my nails right then. Always take their time and always are conversational, which MANY other nail salons fail to do.

They are so clean and wear masks all the time and some of them also have face-shields. They also check your temp. I had manicure+pedicures and dip powder with maile and hannah and they did a great job. They were so nice kind and helpful. I changed my nail color 3 times and they were still so happy to help me to choose another one. I love this place and their staff.

Ive been going here since they opened and I love the staff. Amy suggested I try dip powder and I was hesitant because Im so used to getting gel. I have been getting dip powder every 3 weeks since the first time I tried it. I will never got back to gel. My nails are so strong and long. Highly recommended

Had to go elsewhere same day for work to be redone. Owner is detached from business. Doesnt take responsibility for his techs work and will only point the blame elsewhere or deny wrong doing. Our experience here was not good, my wife and her friend had lacerations on thier hands, and unsatisfactory work was done, due to the techs not speaking to the customer for feedback. After multiple follow up calls to the staff, each time they said they looked at camera and were unwilling to have owner reach out and discuss as he doesnt handle customer feedback. I get that it was valentines day, but busy or not service should remain the same.

I had a great first experience at VIP! Amy was so professional and did an excellent job on my nails (Im very picky). The salon was very clean, and tools were being cleaned out in the open after each customer. VIP will definitely be my new nail spot in East Lansing.

I have been going here since they have opened. Yes they do a good job. But I feel like they are constantly trying to get me to get extra services and spend more money. I had gone in for a full set and was expecting to pay 28.00. Just a normal acrylic set with regular nail polish. When it came time to pay I was told it was 33.00. When I asked why it was more i was told it was due to how long my nails where. They 1st of all are not that long and if I was told that it would be more I would have had them shorter. Not sure as of this point it I will be back.

My sister in law and I both had awesome pedicures! The place is very beautifully done and spacious- so nice to not be crammed next to people. It’s extremely clean and family-owned. I am visiting Lansing for work purposes and found VIP Nail Bar online with a nice website that offered online appointment booking. I made an appointment, but it was cancelled an hour later. I drove by the location and saw a “Coming Soon” sign in the window and immediately understood why my appointment was cancelled. I went elsewhere to get my nails done. No big deal.The owner of VIP contacted me soon after my appointment was cancelled, to let me know they weren’t open yet but would be sure to let me know when they were. Awesome customer service right there. They even went a step further and sent me an email apologizing for the mix up and offered me 20% off my first visit. I thought that was very kind of them. Unfortunately, I do not live in Michigan and will be long gone before the open. I wanted to leave them a nice review for the prompt and generous customer service they offered, despite not being open yet. Thank you!

I have been going to VIP Nail Bar for several months now to receive the dipped polish, both in solid colors and French manicures. I have been extremely happy with the results and have had manicures last as long as 3-1/2 weeks. Their spa is clean and upscale. I have been extremely impressed with the service and quality of products they use. Having gotten away from professional manicures for several years, they have me hooked as a repeat customer!

Tried VIP Nail Bar for the first time after reading reviews about how friendly the staff is, the cleanliness of the salon, and the reasonable prices. However, Im extremely disappointed in the shellac manicure. I got it done on Thursday night and by Saturday afternoon one nail had already peeled. Over the next couple days two other nails came began to peel. Very poor quality. Shellac should easily last 2 weeks. Needless to say, I will not be returning.

Wow. This place is amazing! Such friendly service and the salon is gorgeous! I love the scented hand scrubs they have for you when you wash your hands. This is definitely your one and only stop for nails.

I got a full set of dip nails. I showed my nail technician a picture of what I wanted, told her shape, and length. I asked for a almond shape and I received 9/10 fingers with a round shape. Not only were they the wrong shape, after further inspection none of them were like the other. When my friend and I told her they were really round she looked at them and then walked away. She just seemed really careless. Came here because I saw such great reviews but was extremely unimpressed.

I am in LOVE with this place. 1. I made my appointment online same day! 2. This place is GORGEOUS and clean and not your typical nail salon 3. My nail look fabulous and Mai took her time and paid so much attention to detail (which is the most important part)My best friend got a pedicure from Amy and said she loved it. Their pedicures are customized in house and are all natural.We’ve been looking for “our salon” and have tried almost all of them in Lansing and surrounding area but never found one that we were pleased with. We ironically went to another salon earlier that day for a full set for my friend and a pedicure for myself and they didn’t have time for my full set and her pedicure so we tried this place as well. We’re so sad we didn’t just do all our services here but we will next time! Mai even fixed my friends nails that were crooked. A++ this place is amazing and a new hidden gem.Also pricing is pretty spot on with other places. So for the quality of service it’s a great deal and price. :)

I understand that I was a walk in but absolute refusal of service that day was not necessary they simply could have stated that I can try for a different day instead of saying they can’t do it at all. Ive been here several times for pedicures. The staff is great, the facility clean, and service is good. Being able to book online is great too. Ive been extremely pleased with the pedicures and will be back.

I was really excited to try this new salon, but I will not be coming back. Judging by the other reviews, I was not the only person whose shellac barely lasted. (btw Ive been getting regular shellac manicures for 6 years and I have never had a manicure with this poor of quality before)Experience: My experience in the salon was poor overall because the nail tech spent 10 mins trying to get me to do dip or gel instead of shellac. She just kept telling me that shellac is bad and that I wont like it. I understand offering your opinion, but please just accept that I like shellac and dont make your customer uncomfortable. I had to tell her no at least FIVE times.Quality: Shellac chipped and peeled on one finger within two days. The polish isnt attached to my nails for some reason, so its just chipping off everywhere. Also my real nails are all chipped underneath, which has never happened before.Value: $30 for shellac manicure was a good value.

I walked in and was greeted, then waited for 10 minutes to be asked what service I wanted. I got the organic dip on Wednesday, it looked good for less than a week. I have a crack on one, a chip on another and the shine is now dull. For $42 I had high expectations, but was extremely let down. Yes, the place is clean, but does it really matter?

This place is horrible. There are maybe 2 technicians that know what their doing. The others are inexperienced and slow. Every time I go they screw up my nails, or polish, or forget to apply the clear coat. Trying to get them to fix their mistake is worse! Dont bother.

The woman who did my nails was nice, but the quality wasnt there. I had the dip done bc they said it was healthier, would last longer and wouldnt chip then had 2 designs added. The next day both designs chipped and one nail cracked then the next day another nail cracked. 4 days after getting my nails done for $42, i went to a different salon to have it removed before anymore of my natural nail was ruined. I rarely get my nails done, so i went in wanting a basic manicure and left getting somehow talked into a more expensive dip without cuticle cleanup.Giving 3 stars bc the staff was wonderful, salon beautiful, and overall very clean. I might have just had a bad one off experience.

First I want to start by saying that everyone here is super nice and the space is very beautiful, however, my experience was awful. I live relatively close to here and Ive been wanting to get my nails done since they opened. When I first arrived to my appointment I was greeted and told to take a seat and they would be with me shortly ( I got here like five mins early and figured the tech I booked with was finishing up). 20 minutes go by after my appointment start time until someone acknowledges me again, and Im told it wont be much longer. ANOTHER 20 mins go by, until the nail tech comes over to get me so now its 40 mins passed my appointment time. At this point Im a little annoyed but whatever its Friday, the place is busy and Im so sure theyll be amazing and worth the wait. When the tech I booked with online comes over, shes super apologetic and says they accidentally double booked my time slot. Okay cool, I felt better (though wished someone would have just told me this from the beginning instead of leaving me there sitting for almost an hour wondering what was going on because I totally would have understood - accidents happen.). We get started and shes super sweet and everything is going great. So she starts taking off my polish and doing everything thats done when you get acrylics filled. But I notice shes kind of rushing and my fingers are starting to burn. I look closer and can see shes filed part of my cuticles and then when she put the acrylic primer on, it got into the open wounds (my pinky was literally filed so raw that it was bleeding a little still when I left). Long story short, when I left I noticed that my nails werent smooth and not only could you see the line from the new acrylic placed over the old, you could also see the drill lines from her going back and forth which made it super bumpy. The paint was also messed up and had pieces of fuzz in it (she couldnt get the brush thing where they sanitize it open and grabbed a brush from her bottom drawer). I came home that night and was so upset because not only did my nails look like butt, my fingers were also on fire from her filing/buffing my cuticles too. I called to try and get a refund and another nail tech rudely answered and they made me come back to the nail salon. At this point I was SUPER upset and just wanted a refund so I could go to another salon and get them fixed. When I came in, they offered to fix my nails at the next level up for free so I let them. The new nail tech was very sweet (which I wasnt expecting because one of them was almost yelling at me on the phone and not listening when I said I just wanted a refund and to not have the hassle of coming back in) being sure to be gentle with my cuticles since they werent feeling the best, and she did a lot and made them look nice again so while they still didnt look amazing, I was content with how they looked. I wanted to like this place so much because its way closer and nicer inside than my current nail place, but this experience was so stressful and upsetting that I wont be back.***Edit since the business replied: I would like to add that the wait time was an annoyance, but overall I was not super bothered by it. I was bothered by the fact that my nails were done poorly, my cuticles were filed raw AND that instead of just giving me a refund I was yelled at over the phone and forced to drive back to the salon. I was not HAPPY with my nail service afterwards, I was CONTENT with it because at least there wasnt fuzz in them and they looked smooth again. Those things ARE in the businesss control.

Wasnt that great of a pedicure. With a deluxe pedicure for $45 I expected more than lotion to be just put on my legs and feet.
