Working with Sparklight has been absolutely terrible. It has only been problems trying to get my service set up. First they were supposed to come and I called into work to make sure to be there when they got there, they never showed up. I called and come to find out they said they did but no one answered. Well that couldn’t be right because I was home! So they set my installation appointment for the following day, I left work early to insure I would be there. He was supposed to come between 3-5 and didn’t show up until almost 7 PM. When he did arrive he said the wiring hadn’t been completed correctly so he would get a crew to come out the following morning. I called the following morning to make sure someone was coming now I’m being told that won’t even be able to come for over a week!!! It’s absolutely ridiculous. If our apartment complex allowed other services we would go literally anywhere else with our business.
Good service provider for WiFi. Great speeds for streaming and gaming. Even with multiple devices my speed is still lightning fast. And it’s all under a great affordable price as well.
Internet speed is good, but internet goes off few times most of the time. Thats the only problem am observing for now.
Been trying for 2 weeks to get internet installed at my new residence and keep getting the run around. Customer service is terrible! They can’t even pretend to have a good excuse for why I still don’t have service. I wish I had another option for Internet.

Internet is very slow most of the time with frequent disconnects. I have the 100mbps plan but my 50 mbps service in Dallas is much faster and reliable. Hope the service will get better in future.

I HAVE NEVER EVEN HEARD OF THIS COMPANYHowever they have a customer who STOLE MY CREDIT CARD information TODAY! Spent more than $300 and have refused to cooperate to return my money, or give me the info of the customer to press charges, so I guess Ill be having to call the law on the company themselves for KNOWINGLY processing payments with stolen card info.

Called about the poor service. They sent out a fat lazy technician stated the problem was a leaky line out in the street. Said they would send out a crew to find it in 1 or 2 days. It has been a week and they have done nothing. I do not recommend Sparklight to anyone.
WIFI connection drops quite often and is unreliable at times. Direct wire to TV works pretty well most of the time, very little buffering. Wish WIFI were better.
My choices were limited and I have received the highest quote from sparklight. Upon a transfer request it’s taken them now 10 days to call me back and 5 additional days to wait for my services to be handled . Hard to run a business when you gotta wait half a month!!!!! I’m 3 blocks away from the office 🤦🏻♂️💤 Carl sounded like a depressed recording, I bet he hates his job . Meanwhile I’m paying TOP DOLLAR. I compared the rates . We the people, the consumer expect Better business practices

Somehow I got a cancellation and a bill for over $350. Still trying to figure it out, they say last payment was on March 16th... Kinda sus for a 60ish internet plan that was just literally for Netflix and Hulu and Prime. Dont even own a computer, just a fire stick on the TV. Tried calling, they keep hanging up on me before I get a hold of someone. I miss Cable One.You do what you want, this is my experience with this company and they have a helluva lot of 1 star reviews. As for me? Im getting a different internet provider.

Terrible service, called to see if they could get the wifi working (which always goes out) and they sent a guy, they didn’t identify the problem so the guy fixed something that didn’t need to be fixed and went on back, now when i call i have to wait a whole 4 days to get internet back so they can send ANOTHER guy who might not even know what he’s doing either. This service is a joke and i cannot recommend anyone puts themselves through dealing with slow, incompetent people.
I just cant understand why the worker had to run my ground from my neighbor box. And then run my cable across her yard without covering the line up. Its just. Laying in the yard. And then instead of drilling a hole in the wall for the cable it runs in my kitchen window across my counter. I understand that they cant come in the house. But this was the worst experience I have ever had. The trailer that use to sit here theres was run from the pole in the driveway. And I should have had my own box that he said could not be put on the side of my trailer, thats fine but I have a huge shed in front of my trailer. I just cantUnderstand any of this. I have never seen such poor work in all my life.i could have put the piece to plug the wall on the inside if he had drilled a hole. And dont tell me that my cable running from my neighbor box dont use her electricity because I know it does. Well thats how my experience was with sparklight yesterday. We recently moved and Sparklight was our only option for TV and internet. Well they are not doing installs for TV so we only have internet. It’s not bad as long as the whole apartment complex isn’t home. I move from a rural town of 1200 and had faster internet speed for less money.

Sparklight asked me to rate my experience. I debating putting 1 star, but they actually have a decent time getting to you through on customer service. The problem however, is that if I pay 75 dollars a month for 200MBPS, I at least expect 150. The highest Ive ever gotten is 87MBPS and that was just once. The average speed for my unlimited 200MBPS is about 50. Im getting 1/4 of what I pay for, but dont think they wont cut it off if you come up 5 dollars short on your bill. Doesnt quite sound fair to me, but Im just a customer

When he finally shows up he is very rude I have other appointments I had appointment with them between 8-12 the guy changes it with out contacting me when he finally got he I told him he needs mask covid 19. He turns around I need to put one on i told him this is my house. They need to fire him
Installation nightmareThe service tech showed up on time. He disconnected my old cable internet and connected Sparklight cable. However I was not getting any internet signals. The tech said that he had to access the attic to check connections. I told him that he needed a ladder. He told me that he had a ladder on his truck and would go up to the attic. So I waited and waited... He took off with his truck without telling me. He just left. It was the most bizzare service call I have ever had. So I was stuck without a working internet connection.I then spent the next 90 minutes on the phone with Sparklight trying to get them to send another tech. Eventually another tech came in the evening and was able to fix things. Apparently there was no need to go up to the attic at all.I didnt get any satisfactory explanation for the behavior of the 1st tech.
Useless excuse for a company. Internet went out every night for a week. I called and the lady hung up on me. They just want to take your money and do nothing. I would use my phone internet over them.
I have tried to reach a tech customer service rep. The person that answered the phone was so rude. She told me that I reach the new service department and then hang up. I called back and a guy answered and did the same thing. I am switching service because this company dont have a 24 hour tech support. It is Saturday and I will not be able to watch TV or use my internet til Monday or Tuesday when they open to have the issue resolved. For this company to at least be able to compete with other services at least have good customer service if your not going to have a 24 hour tech support
Pricing is higher than most places but this is the only provider my complex allows. With that being said, my service man was extremely polite and worked fast on the whole process, he also helped me change my WiFi network name and password. Their customer service is quick and kind. I had them schedule me an appointment the very next day with no issues. Also, this could be because I’ve had a previous account with them a few years ago, my roommate who is a new customer had a little more time needed to get clearance with them through our complex. My service works great. I have 1TB. Would recommend 🙏🏻
These guys are absolutely horrible I pay 100! A month for WiFi that only two people are on and half the tine just me I run my network speed test and some days it’s 5 other days it says not available and other days says 15. I try throughout the day to test it and it’s always bad literally my personal hotspot is better I’m canceling with these guys on my last day and never looking back.

When it was Cable One there was definitive better service level than currently. They took literally 3 months to come bury a cable in our yard when we moved into a newly built house. It was only after several complaints and the HOA being irritated that they came and burried the line. The gigabit download is pretty inconsistent in a brand new fully fiber neighborhood, but generally we hit over 750 at least. The upload is horrible and so out of balance with the download speeds. They really need to fix the upload and increase that speed A LOT. If we could find a better provider we likely would move at this point.

I am beyond upset right now!! I moved to Odessa 4 years ago due to work. Due to our location, only Cable One can service the area so other provider options is not an option. Over the years Ive been dealing with Cable One reps every other period to try and obtain better pricing. Ive gone from obtaining all their services, cancelling some services and reinstating some services during that time as well. Im about to CANCEL my cable services yet again.For the past few months Ive been seeing an increase in my bill by a few dollars here and there. It wasnt such a huge jump, so I left it alone. I look at my bill today and notice its now gone up a full $46!!!Ill have to call in Monday now, to see how to lower this bill for the next few months and Ill continue this stupid process until I move, which is ridiculous or until my area allows other providers. Also this stupid bill wont go away as Ill have to pay it at their freaking rate, but well see what happens for the next few months.P.S. Im also at the mercy of the representative I speak to on Monday. Theyre not all created equal.

Debbie was so nice and courteous. She needs a promotion. I pay for the 200mbps plan. I get well over 200 mbps. She was very thorough when I had connectivity issues. I honestly have no clue what everyone is talking about when they say it’s not as good as it was when it was cable one. Sparklights WiFi prices are better. I’ve never had a problem with their technicians and their bundles are better. Cable is a bit pricey but they didn’t try to tell me otherwise or sell me something they thought was overpriced. I play video games a lot and need WiFi for work. I haven’t had any problems except this one and that was due to my own errors.

I left at&t because I was only getting 6 mb per second..now I have had sparklight for a week internet is down they said a line was cut .and that it will be up soon sure hope so .but the wifi WiFi is great .the technician was great ..

Very satisfied with the service. I have two xboxs and a ps4 streaming constantly and it never lags or buffers. Worked with my credit and was very affordable with start up costs. Technician was on time and very efficient and answered any questions I had. Will definitely recommend. Thanks for the great service.

Horrible service when connected our internet I told them to call my husbands phone because I would be out of service that day, they didn’t call my husband and we missed our appointment. We set up another appointment they called and said they would be at our house between so and so time we made sure we were home between that time and it came and gone we called and they said they came and knocked on the door the exact time we received the call! I will be calling on Monday and demanding a full refund on the service fee and I’ll be taking g my business else where

Worst internet since dial up. It was great under cable one, but obviously that changed when sparklight too over, especially after reading so many others say the same. As much as they try and say nothing changed, its lies. the disconnects are insane, and Ive tried everything. Relocating the modem, resetting it, purchased a new modem. They even sent somebody out. And if course no longer than an hour after he was gone, disconnected. I highly suggest you look into all options before considering sparklight. I know next paycheck, Im looking into other companies.

3 weeks of service, 6 calls to customer support and 2 techs later - can’t use Hulu or Netflix through the TiVo’s. Not sure if it’s the service or TiVo at this point. I know I could use the apps on TiVo with Suddenlink. Not impressed thinking about switching to Dish TV.
If you want customer service go with another cable company - it took me forever just to pay a bill - I am in another state and pay the bills for my husband who is working and living temporarily in Odessa - tried to register to pay on line but the system would not recognize the account number - account became locked - sent email requesting that account be unlocked - no response after a week - tried to call this morning but no area code listed on bill, only 7 digit phone number - looked the area code up and then had to listen to a ridiculously long message about paperless billing, right, when I can not get on line anyway.... Some people may have time to deal with these obstacles but I do not - I am mailing the payment today and if this company were not the only one available at the complex that my husband has rented an apartment at I would be spending my time changing cable companies today - this is either very poor management or a scheme to earn reconnect fees......
I have a buddy who has been trying to get service from Cable One and the 1st time they supposedly went to his house but really they didnt, they told him they did go by but he wasnt there, Thats BS he was there all day and now he had it set up for Saturday Mar 9th 2019 and it was an all day installation and nobody showed up again. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY! Go to GRANDE.
As the standard installation mentioned by Sparklight, they are supposed to bury the cable line on the ground. But they never show up to finish that part. Very disappointing service.Update after 2 months service: still waiting for Sparklight come back and bury the cable. Has called and emailed Sparklight around one month. Still waiting..........

I dont have any buffering on my TVs and the one time that I lost a signal I called and it came back quickly. The only problem is I need to boost the signal to the back bedroom of my house.
We have been Grande customers for 15 years and have not been impressed with their service. So when we changed to Cable One I was not expecting very good service. I was wrong, they gave me an hour they would be at my house and updated me throughout the day. I was very impressed with their service.
Watch out for these people... instead of contacting you with billing issues they straight just turn you over to collections. They were able to give collections my number, but not actually contact me on their own. I had to move and I called them to let them know and they said I needed to return it on the next business day before it would be disconnected.. I couldnt wait so I told them I was moving and they still charged me but didnt let me know

I’ve had Cableone for years. And when I did have a problem which was maybe once a year. They got my internet running in no time. Had to only restart the modem.Now that “Sparklight” took over. The internet started to go in and out. My price of $106 didn’t go down. But when I sure did miss one payment and went to make that one payment. I was told they disconnected my service and now I have to pay $400+ to restore my services. No thanks. I am goin to another internet provider.
Service was wonderful when it was CableOne (which we had for a little over a year). Unfortunately, once Sparklight took over it quickly became the worst internet provider we’ve ever had. WiFi drops thousands of times throughout the day, making it especially problematic for those of us who work at home. When this would happen with cableone, we would be refunded the cost of internet for that day, but this is something sparklight doesn’t do; this leads me to believe we aren’t the only ones having so many issues with their service.
The lady that help me was very kind knowledgeable it was an all-around good experience at cable one I wanted to say kudos to yall she was so so kind of cannot remember her name but she was a black lady and she was awesome
Internet hasn’t worked in two months, multiple technicians have been here trying to fix it. they have now given up and refuse to fix a problem that is obviously at the pole and not my house. If they don’t do anything by the end of this billing period I’m dropping them 😡😡😡
I got the $90 package with unlimited usagw. I have had no complaints thus far. I stream constantly and game. I have lost connections less than a handful of times but I wither just reset modem or my Firestick and it connects right back.

Was on the phone with them for 3 hours getting my service service setup and after they had me get a 200$ money order and buy a 60$ modem they came out and told me they couldnt bring service out to my location after telling me they could bring service to my location and they sent a technician out here to be sure i could. Really displeased with them.
Pathetic!!!! Ordered new service to install 4-12-18, no confirmation call or tech showed up at appt time. I had to call only to find out appt was rescheduled 4-23-18. Today I waited.... No show or confirmation call to install. I called Cable one to find out appt was rescheduled again!!!! Cable One is the worst and INCONVENIENT!! Definitely will not recommend you to family and friends!!! Total BS!!!!

I have paid for the 200mps plan and have not been able to use it.. the most it is getting is 5-18 mbps and that’s direct through Ethernet. They said it was a problem in the area but come to find out it’s just my house. I am still waiting on this to get resolved.
What a joke to have a data cap. I have had service with cable one for five years now and they just lost me because there forcing me to move to a more expensive data plan.
There is no negative rating above - Cable One has the crappiest service on the planet - they will give you the exact same modem if you have problems with yours, they overbill you, they lie about crediting your account when you pay your final bill. They are the worst company in Odessa, Texas. They never billed me for any amounts after my account was cancelled, customer service accepted my final payment and assured me that it was final and paid in full. Now they are reporting me to a collection agency for what they deem to be the balance owed. I NEVER received another bill. Do not trust them ever.
Service cuts in and out all the time. High prices for such poor quality service. The enforced data caps are terrible. They used to be unlimited but in the last year Ive had to been pushed up to the highest one for an extra 60$ a month.

I have to use cable one because no other company goes to my house and we always have issue the latest they gave me three months free to try out faster internet the catch it wasn’t really free. I was told well just because the email said that doesn’t mean anything so I now have a higher bill and can’t change it. Any time I call them for internet issues they treat me as if I am dumb. I had multiple service calls over the years and sometimes they just never show up u call and they say oh nobody was home and I always say I stay right close to the door with it open just to see them overall I wish grande came to my area I never had issues with them cable one sucks.
This company has a stupid data cap limit at extremely expensive rates to get a higher Data limit. This company thinks it can get away with cell phone plan like data cap limits. I do NOT recommend this company if you plan on watching Netflix or any stream related service or do a lot of gaming, it eats up your data limit.

Not a good phone service. My elderly mother in law needs to have a land line and it stopped working a week after her installing it in her home. I was on hold for 40 minutes and then was disconnected. No service has been restored to moms phone, She has trouble using her cell phone yet she will now have to learn how to use it because Cable one has not been the answer to replacing AT&T. Do not use Cable one.
Their tech busted my water line laying Cable in my yard...they didn’t fix it. It’s still flooding my yard. I’ve tried numerous times to contact Cable one but no one has responded to me. I’ve had two appointments. I have been told to contact an attorney ASAP as well as the BBB. Thats now on today’s agenda!! I don’t understand why people tolerate poor quality and performance from service providers. My family and I are new to the area and do not stand for that. We value our hard earned dollars too much to be taken advantage of.
The gentleman that came to install was very kind and professional. The internet speed is average, and not at all worth the price. It is not as fast and reliable as ATT was at our prior address. We had to switch to CO, since ATT isnt available here at the new address. We now pay almost three times more. The 200 foot cable wire/cord still hasnt been buried, like they said they would come back and do, over three weeks ago.. And Ive called three times about it..Smh.. I cant wait until other companies become available and service our area.
Data caps on a hard line? Users will leave if you dont impose caps. Users will leave when you DO IMPOSE data caps. Watch me. There I went. My service was worse after they forced me into a data cap plan with escalating tiers. Even Verizon learned their mistakes dealing with unlimited. I moved to Austin. Cable One, Grande, and AT&T can kma. Get out while the getting is good.

Who still tracks Data Usage? Unfortunately I live in Odessa and Cable One is the only current internet provider in my neighborhood.....for now. I am switching first chance an actual company moves into my neighborhood here soon. I am an avid gamer and stream video services. Cable One in their mind feels the need to still charge for your data usage? Why? Even my wireless provider offers me unlimited service at a decent price (Thanks Verizon)! This is ridiculous for being a home provider to still charge and automatically upgrade your package if you go over! Only reason they are still in business in this area because they only service certain areas of Odessa and people are forced into their overpriced and unreasonable service. Hurry up Grande and get in my neighborhood.....good amount of money to be made!
Horrible horrible company. Idk how they stay in business. I had my services cancelled because money got tight. So my bill was past due $142. I called to make sure if I pay it I will get it reconnected. Well now I have to pay a $95 reconnection fee plus 1 month upfront to reconnect and thats $67 so thats almost $300 just to reconnect. Didnt even try to help and waive it. They just lost a customer. Greedy AF. I rather deal without Internet then pay those ridiculous fees. Plus they close at 5. Lets just close when everyone gets off. Never again will I go with them. There Is a reason they have less than a 2 rating. But Noone in charge does crap. Thats right there out there enjoying the money they rip people off with.

I live in Odessa Texas. I come home EVERY single day after work at 5 oclock, and it never fails. the internet is literally off every day. the little motem just blinks and wont connect. its rediculous. I have to call Cable one almost religiously to get it fixed.

I called to set up service for Internet we scheduled the appointment between 3-5 the representative asked me if I would like to have a call before they technician arrives I said no I will be there between 3-5 they dont need to call. I was at work I received a phone call at 2:15, no message was left or anything but I called them back and they didnt answer the phone I called 3 times. I arrive at my house and am waiting for the technician to come it is 430 and I decide to call CableOne and see when the technician is going to come out and the lady Patricia told me that my appointment was canceled because I didnt answer the phone call I then became irritated because I was at work and I scheduled an appointment between 3-5 so even if I dont answer my phone because I am at work I still assume that my appointment is going to be between 3-5 and Patricia says oh no maam if you dont answer the phone we cancel the appointment . I told her I was not told of this and that yesterday the other representative did not say anything about me having to answer the phone or my appointment will be canceled . She then got irritated with me and was being rude back. I admit I was being rude but because I took off work because of an appointment that I made to have service installed between 3-5. It is very irritating to take off work lose money for service that I pre-paid for and I would have to wait till next week to reschedule the appointment so I canceled everything and had a refund issued. She said it was policy that if you dont answer the phone the appointment gets canceled and even if you call right back they dont answer incoming calls it just gets canceled and that is a ridiculous policy If I schedule a time to be out at my house and I pre-paid for the service then I would be at my house at the time scheduled I cannot answer my phone at work I am a nurse so I dont have time to be on my telephone this was just a very irritating experience and I dont want anyone else to be misinformed

I was waiting for Grande since they dont have data limits. I can understand wanting customers to pay more for Gigabit speed but to have data limits on it also. The service is great but the fact that I have to check how much bandwidth weve used to make sure we can stream since weve cut the cable service and use Amazon Prime, Netflix, and Hulu it makes for unnecessary worrying. Its not like CableOne is AT&T and Verizon. Data limits need to go away. If you do away with data limits I wont have reason to switch to Grande once theyre in my area.
