Been here for 3 months the appartment itself seems fine, air conditioners are heavy on the electricity cost, but the pool is always closed, of the 7 times Ive attempted to go swimming its been open 1 time. We recently notified them of a leak it took them 2 days to look at it by which point our apartment had flooding and mildew in the floor and walls but to them the work is completed like great u fixed the leak but not any of the damage it did.

Rosalindas tone is agressive and rude, not friendly. Ill be leaving, if Im able to. Needs to work on telephonic verbal skills or find a new line of work away from the customers

Back in September 2020 when me & my bf first were looking into apartments Lyndsey was the most helpful she could have ever been. She gave us details on the apartment room we were looking at. She was well professional about the walkthrough she had given us prior to us moving in. A couple months later they hired an amazing worker, Rosalinda. Rosalinda & Lyndsey are both professional when it comes to answering phone calls, questions, & much more. We have grown to appreciate & love these two women as family & couldn’t have been more happier with the value they give all residents. The community director Jami has done a great job hiring & allowing these two employees to be the best they can be !!

Great apartments. Easy enough move-in process. Kinley was very nice and helpful, she’s absolutely amazing. I highly recommend moving here and having her help you. 10/10 recommend.

Jami Yonts is absolutely the BEST apartment manager we’ve had since we moved here. She is very professional, easy to talk to and she makes sure she helps tackle whatever problems you might in the apartment.

This was our first time moving to an apartment complex and Lindsay was incredibly helpful and fun to talk to. She really made the whole process seem less intimidating than it initially felt. She answered all of our questions before we even had to ask and did so in a very comprehensive way. The apartment itself is nice, the neighbors are friendly, overall convenient location. Besides minor appliance issues, everything is great so far. We’re ecstatic to call this our home.

Used to be 5-star review… when we first moved in to our townhouse, we absolutely loved it! Lindsey was very sweet and helpful to us as new tenants. we are now transferring to a two bedroom apartment because we have a baby on the way, and this process has been the most unprofessional and unpleasant experience i’ve ever had with an apartment complex! Rosalinda has been very rude, unknowledgeable, and unhelpful through the entire transfer process. on our move-in date, they didn’t have any keys ready then we were told they’re replacing carpet on the day we’re supposed to move in! they steamed carpet the day before move-in date, then decided to replace carpet the day we move-in. doesn’t make any sense. i miss the old staff we knew when we first moved in. will not be staying here after our lease is up next year.in the year we lived here, the apartment is pretty nice, but there are outdated air conditioning units that leaked all into our carpet, the pool was never opened, and drawers and doors were chipping and breaking within the first 6 months of living there.

Recently, I was looking for apartments in the Odessa Area and a friend recommended that I look at High Plains. I scheduled time off work to drive down to Odessa to look at a 1 bedroom apartment. The wonderful lady I met at the apartment office, Maria, was extremely friendly and took the time to answer all my questions. I definitely recommend anyone looking for apartments in the Odessa area to head over to High Plains; oh, and ask for Maria to get the best experience.

The wife and I are looking around at apartments and decided to stop here, Lindsey greeted us with a smile and a very positive attitude. She was very knowledgeable and were looking forward to being apart of the community.

I used to live there a couple of years of ago and I loved it. My neighbors were nice and quiet and most importantly I felt safe walking my dog at night. Theres small pet stations throughout the whole apartment complex it makes it convenient when you have pets.

Overall a great experience.We’ve stayed here since 2017, and while the rent has risen more and more each year, it’s still a better deal for a 2bed/1.5 baths apartment than other places. They spray for bugs every few months and it never seems to be an issue at all. Maintenance orders are always usually handled the next day, if it’s a weekend-day, then Monday. Rent is paid online and online only, which is fine with us, every one hates writing checks. The buildings are a little old, but if something needs to be replaced, the staff is usually very willing to replace with new not old/used equipment. Water is always usually hot, and if a utility is to be serviced, they post letters about 2 days in advance. Parking is probably the only downside to the complex as there are not any designated spaces besides new residents and disabled, and some days they can fill up really fast. The trash bins could be a little closer to some parts of the buildings as well, some residents have to walk quite a bit to throw their trash away. However, The best part of this complex is the staff! The staff are always very accessible and are very attuned to the residents here. They recognize needs and accommodate what they can when possible. They are very understanding when life happens and will work with you as long as you show them your willingness to be honest and upfront with them. they celebrate and recognize several holidays and are usually very helpful and cheerful. They have been very good to our family and are very thankful for their time and treatment of us as their residents.

Awesome place to live at. Staff is great sweet and very professional they go out of their way for you. Maintenance are always helpful and willing to help and fix anything in any way they can and when you need them they are prompt to return service calls. Awesome team very sweet and caring.

My sister has lived here for a couple of years now and every time I’ve come over to visit her it’s been a great experience. The pool is always clean and blue, the grounds are always clean, and the office staff is always friendly. I definitely recommend.

To anyone who may be interested, I recently left those apartments, I fulfilled my rental contract and the apartment delivered it in perfect condition and they did not return the deposit, do not really believe what they are told that they are liars and thieves. the time

My husband transferred here back in September and we had to find a place to live rather quickly and High Plains was definitely the place. When we came in we talked to Lindsey at the front desk and she was just amazing throughout the application process. It was quick just like we needed and she kept me thoroughly updated on what was going on. I still live here and I love it. The staff is extremely nice and as long as you have good communication they are understanding and work with you with what ever your needs may be. Maitence requests are always done within a timely manner. I love these apartments, the other residents, and the staff. Lindsey is absolutely amazing. I definitely recommend this apartment complex to someone looking for a place to live.

I have been living here for about 3 months now and the staff is very professional. We had a few maintenance issues when we moved in and we requested service and they were fixed really quickly. My experience since moving to High Plains Apartments has been really nice. I can honestly say I love how nice the staff is and would give them an A++ rating.

Its a good place. Everybody in the front office is always nice. We I need any questions the ladies are always willing to help.

The staff did an amazing job making sure that I would have a place to live in such short notice. If you talk to them they will do their best to work with you. I love my apartment and the location of the property is great cause it is in the middle of town. Plus my closet is huge! So far everything is great!

One of the only complexes that actually listen to their applicants and truly goes that extra mile. Lindsey was extremely helpful and had a great attitude the entire time(she had to go through extra steps and do more paperwork). She was an absolute lifesaver! Their matinece team is quick and courteous as well. Enjoying our new home entirely.

Best place in Odessa. Management is great, the service techs always try their best to complete my work orders that same day and I my neighbors are cool! If you are moving to this area I highly recommend this place !

They are always helpful not like others apartments. I like it here they are always fixing all of our work orders. They also have an emergency line as well.

High Plains was a comfortable home for me while I was working in the Odessa/Midland area. The staff is great, complex is clean, and rent is reasonable for the area. The apartment complex is conveniently located to allow for quick travel to anything in the region

Newly remodeled. Lived here once before and came back so it cant be near as bad as all the negative reviews they are getting. Had a few issues that were promptly addressed. They continuously strive to improve. For single or student living its a very fair price and excellent location and they strive for an inclusive community living with family activities hosted by the office staff. Cant please some people no matter what! Safe, inviting and quiet atmosphere.

I have been here for two years and its a decent place to live.There are some minor things but nothing to be concern about.Everyone has been nice to me since I have been here and the guys always try their best to fix things

Do not I repeat do not rent from here the wAter bill is insane the charges when you move out are insane: they charge you an electricity disconnection fee even though you get your electricity through a third party. You can clean and cleAn and they will charge you an insane amount of chaRgesUPDATE: they reply to this review but haven’t answered any of my emails. Also talked with the electric company which stated that they do not charge any termination fees and the fee charged by the apartment does not have anything to do with them don’t let them lie to you they don’t reply to emails and haven’t returned my check

Since day one these people did everything possible to get me approved and I had my keys in hand that afternoon!!! The price is affordable and my apartment is really nice! Ive had some maintenance issues but they were out the same day to handle my problems! I feel like Im a priority! I highly recommend high plans :)

Resident for 6 year at HighPlains. Everything is good here I like it very much. I would recccomend these apartments to anyone. It makes it easy that it is by a lot of different stores and resturants

High Plains in Odessa was a good experience AT FIRST. They were helpful with me when I was transitioning out of active duty in the Army and into my new civilian job in the oilfield and they are flexible if you have health issues and dont use carcinogenic bug spray. The unit I moved into was decent and all I had to do to keep bugs away was clean normally. My neighbors are cool and if someone has loud music on a weekend all you have to do is tap on a wall and it gets turned down. The leasing agent told me before I signed that I had some great neighbors and I wasnt sure what she meant but I did find out that they smoke marijuana regularly because you can smell it through the door. I get drug tested by the DOT and the Army but its usually not enough to smell it secondhand to fail a test... plus the war on drugs is unlawful (unconstitutional) so whatever. The guy was very friendly and even helped me carry my safe upstairs the first day with his son.However time went on and I started noticing a lot of police investigations going on at High Plains. There was one little girl who was apparently abducted and the sent out officers to conduct an investigation. I was personally told by several officers who arrived on scene at 4-5am and blocked all the entrances and exits that they were looking for a murder suspect. I have scene the local police out here at least 8-10 times in six months and a lot of uniforms too, conducting big investigations. High Plains requires you to have renters insurance and its safe to assume that there is a lot of bad criminal activity here just noticing all the cops.I work a lot of hours so sometimes I order packages online instead of going to a store. The front desk tells you that they will accept packages for you if you are out and they say they do this for all potential residents. I have had the office delay my package delivery to me by a week or two when I ordered a Trijicon gun optic. Their excuse was the girl was too short to reach the top shelf and couldnt see it. I was polite and never said anything about an honest mistake like perhaps a taller person might try then? Then in October I ordered a rifle scope (~$500) and a water filter (~$200) and they were confirmed delivered when I got documents from the USPS but the front office denies having anything to do with it. I talked to the manager and it was like talking to a brick wall. She would not compensate me for the theft and said they were not legally liable because they only do the package service as a courtesy, even though it is tantamount to terms of the contract through verbal contract. I would trust my pot smoking neighbors more with my packages. Best bet is someone in the office they saw the shippers on the label and had a problem with gun enthusiasts politically and knew the police couldnt do anything to locate my packages. I just wanted out of the rest of my contract which is not at all unreasonable considering the theft and the fact that I had documents from the post office saying they left them at the front desk/reception. The manager wouldnt even consider it. Horrible business ethics and they arent even associated with the better business bureau. They are not free market fans and they support a lot of CRIME in the High Plains community. I would never rent here again and I dont recommend living here unless you are a criminal thats used to seeing police in your area a lot.

If it wasnt for the people in the office my life would be miserable.They are always helping and taking care of me. I wish everything from the inside was renovate but its kept up. Theres always popcorn in the office. The girls in the office once bought me groceries for my birthday

Yes it’s a older complex. But they make up for it by the quite neighbors, excellent parking, fast maintenance crew and outstanding office staff. But most importantly there’s not a bunch of crews living in the complex.

I do not recommend this property for anyone under any circumstance. The maintenance staff is either absolutely terrible or the office staff does not relay the residents maintenance request. The washing machines in the community laundry rooms are never working. Office staff is extremely rude and also make promises they do not intend to keep. From what I have gathered in the short time that Ive been there is that they dont really care about the residents living there. Needless to say I will not be renewing my lease. As previously stated I do not recommend this property for anyone. Stay far away

We love it here. There are a few things that need a lot of attention but talking to the staff thats in the works for this year. After all that of the maintenance gets done it will be a different place.

My finacee lives there since december of 2015 she arranged for the apt while still living in arizona so only could look at the apt on web siteI helped mover her therewhen we first walked into the apt the carpets were terrible dirty and stainedthe refridgerator was cracked did not seal properlyshe has stayed there for all these years she was told to buy her own refridgerator at one timenow she has finally decided to leave the apartments as she does not feel safethe air conditioner leaks into the carpet sshe has high water bills as you share the bill with the oter tenants and she is the only oneliving there but can still pay 40 dollars or moreshe has also said that in the winter the hot water is not there sometimes cold

When moving out make sure to leave place SPOTLESSLY clean because they charge each item expensively, between $25-$40 for things such as cleaning tub, replacing stove pans, cleaning fridge, etc, even if it’s just small things. “Remodeled” ; the outside looks nice but the inside has issues they either don’t fix or take a long time to fix after multiple filings. All the staff is extremely rude, unprofessional, lazy and don’t care, except for maybe 1 is helpful. We did not have hot water for 4 months and all they could say was “we’re working on it”, the stove had issues and when they came to fix it they instructed me to “just turn off and on the fuse for it in the fuse box when you’re done using it” instead of fixing it or replacing it. There were always unfixed leaks, or other various issues, just over all disfunction and incompetence.

These people won’t give the deposit back after we didn’t even move in when we are in a area where apartments are in high demand they didn’t lost money or days and I will not live somewhere roach infested. This is just the beginning news here I come !

This placeFull of rats, but l talking about I was Just one person living there just going to sleep 2 days because I work out of town, and when I got back I found the rats took over of the place.Poor maintenance everything was broken since day oneEverything is constantly get brokenAt the end dont even think about your deposit because they will find the minimum excuse to keep it.Besides there are more people out in the parking lot than during the day. Selling happiness in a little bag. If u have family, or girlfriend/wife, dont even try your luck here.I havent sue the the place when my babys mother and my son fall from the broken stairs that they broke when they were replacing the refrigerator before I move in.They got lucky with me, just in case I still have the pictures from everything

Renting this place was the worst mistake I have ever made. We signed the lease online, moving from out of state. I wish I would have listened to all the bad reviews I read. The first day I moved in I regretted it. It smelled like mold and mildew, roaches were Everywhere! And the cops were circling constantly. This place is literally unlivable. My apartment has flooded twice in two weeks and my kids have been sick since we moved in. When I complain to the rude staff all they say is thats apartment living. Please do not move in to this place! Especially if you have choldren, its disgusting and unsafe.

Worst apartment ever. We had to get rid out our personal freezer and keurig do to the massive amount of roaches. We lived with mold for 3 months before they got around to fixing it. They also will charge you whatever amount they decide is worthy. They call with different excuses constantly to get more money. Customer service is awful. Management is awful. The place entirly

Ive been here for a year and a half. Its not a horrible place to live but i am not impressed at the price i am paying what i have to deal with. I cant get a parking spot close to my apt because the parking lot is not big enough. My first apartment on the opposite side close to Wendys i didnt feel safe. I was told before i moved in they would get rid of that horrible smell. I opened the wall AC to look at the filter and discovered they had painted it onto the wall so it ripped the paint and the panel was all black. When maintenance came they said it was nothing and didnt do anything.. even clean it. I had to. When i moved out of that small apt to a 1 bd townhouse after 6 months they told me that i would not be charged for the small paint rip.. well they threw a paint fee onto my apt which they now claim is normal but when i asked what all was coming out of my deposit and specifically asked if paint did they said only if it was real damage. Peeled paint wasnt considered that. So out of $300 i got $70.. which was sent to the wrong apt complex mailbox. Thankfully that was an honest person.. anyways I scrubbed that apartment and it was cleaner than when i moved in. There is only 1 person in the office that u can talk to who does anything and that is Corrina. She is always helpful. In my new apartment.. the townhouse.. it has been an ok experience which is why i rated this 3 stars. But now that the prices are going back up im not staying. And i know to expect probably $20 of my deposit this time since it is a bigger apt. Oh! And get ready for notes on the door telling you to watch your kids, blaming all tenants for pool issues.. i dont even swim.. and one telling me what i am allowed to put my AC temp to. In a townhouse.. the heat rises. Its too hot to keep it at 75. Also after a year they still havent put a apt number sign on my door after i put it on the paper and called. So positive and negative like any apt.

It’s a really bad place to live at. If I could rate it lower I would. Staff is unprofessional and apartments are in poor conditions. They just try to fix the outside and the inside is a mess. There is a lot of crime here and cops have to close down the parking lot all the time.
